Abstract

Pertunjukan   Jemblung   dilaksanakan   semalam   suntuk   seperti halnya   kebiasaan   seni   pertunjukan   di   Jawa   umumnya.   Sumber   cerita tersebut   diatas   dikemas   dalam   sebuah   lakon   drama   dengan   cara memadukan antara   tembang,   gending,   dialog   antar  tokoh   yang   terlibat dalam alur cerita kemudian diungkapkan secara oral. Dalam pertunjukan Jemblung poeranan dalang sangat vital karena selain sebagai pimpinan pertunjukan juga bertindak sebagai sutradara pertunjukan. Struktur sajian Jemblung   terdiri   dari   beberapa   adegan,   yaitu   pambuka,   jejer   seisan, adegan Aluas, Adegan Gagah, adangan Karang Padesan, adegan Gecul, adegan   Prnesan,   adegan   Tangisan,   dan   Panutup.   Penyajian   adegan­adegan tersebut tampak ada kemiripan dengan sajina kethoprak, seperti ada   peran   raja,   sentana,   dan  kawula.   Namun, demikian   keberadaan peran­peran seperti itu disesuaikan dengan cerita yang disajikan.Kata kunci : Jemblung, struktur pertunjukan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the problem of applying the pattern of traditional arts education in the Mayong ceramic artisan family seen as a strategy in conserving local art. This research used a qualitative-ethnographic approach. The research objectives cover aspects of cultural values of dance, human resources, and the environment and their changes that are systemically related functionally in the art education process in the family sphere. Research data were collected through participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation—validation of data through source triangulation and thick description. Data analysis techniques were carried out in an interactive cycle that moves between the processes of reduction, presentation, and verification of data. The results of the study show the following. First, there are cultural values in the culture of the Mayong ceramic artisan family community, which are oriented to the view of the importance of the obligation to inherit their local arts. Second, human resources, cultural values, and the natural environment show the interrelationships in the formation of art education patterns in the family. Third, as a conservation strategy, the pattern of art education that takes place within the family has succeeded in preserving and developing local ceramic arts. Other local art artisan communities can adopt suggestions that can be put forward in this informal art education pattern in efforts to conserve regional cultural heritage.

Abstract

Integrated study is considered to be important for preschool students. This study is aiming at understanding the implementation of learning music in integrated learning context in preschool education level especially kindergarten. Research methodology employed in this research was qualitative method. The subject of this study was the implementation of learning in preschool education level especially kindergartens in Semarang. This study focuses on how music or children song is used as integrated education tool by the teacher. Observation, interview and study of documentation were implemented here as the data collection technique. In addition, source triangulation technique was applied here as the validation technique, while interactive analysis was used as the data analysis technique. Results of the research show that the application of learning music process in preschool level of kindergarten school in Semarang is integrated with the other lessons. The development of its learning materials refers to the curriculum by considering the developments of the children in general. The main technique in the implementation of the learning process is by singing together. Messages of the music or song are used in order to deliver the education message according to the theme of learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  : (1) Bentuk pertunjukan dan budaya masyarakat setempat terhadap pertunjukan musik dangdut organ tunggal; (2) Persepsi masyarakat Kota Tegal terhadap pertunjukan musik dangdut organ tunggal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan cara menggambarkan atau menguraikan keadaan yang terjadi pada objek penelitian yang dalam hal ini pertunjukan musik dangdut organ tunggal di kota Tegal. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis data deskriptif. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pertunjukan musik dangdut organ tunggal di kota Tegal seringkali dihadiri oleh banyak penonton dari berbagai tingkatan usia. Lagu-lagu yang disajikan pada pertunjukan organ tunggal sebagian besar berupa tarling dangdut. Pertunjukan musik dangdut tersebut dijadikan cerminan status sosial masyarakat Kota Tegal. This study is aimed to find out: (1) Performing Arts and Culture of local people in solo organ dangdut musical performance; (2) Tegal People’s Perception towards solo organ dangdut musical performance. This study uses descriptive-qualitative approach by describing or figuring out the facts in the solo organ dangdut musical performance in Tegal. Techniques of data collection in this research include library study, observation, interview and documenting. This research uses descriptive analysis. From this research, it is concluded that the solo organ dangdut performance in Tegal attracts more audience of different ages. The songs that are presented in the solo organ performance are mostly dangdut. The dangdut musical performance can reflect social status of Tegal people.

Abstract

Semar is the mysterious puppet charaters and vague. Semar is present in all versions ofleather puppet theater performances. Stories in puppet shows, Semar is present in twomain roles, first as a supporter of the birth of the holder of the most important role in theplay, namely the presence of seeds that will take a decisive position in the theater, precededby his presence because, seond Semar become major stakeholders in play as an example:Kilat Buana, Semar Kuning, Semar Papa, Semar Mbarang Jantur. Semar represent sudrafigures, also represent the people in general. In the play lebet containing about philosophyof life, the presence of Semar preceded by events because it is an extraordinary event. Garagarain the puppet shows are usually marked by a major event in the universe caused by avariety of puppet characters. It appeared to subside after Semar figure. As the atmosphereConditioning, Semar comes with poise, dignity many illustrations that can be interpretedfrom him. Semar restore the harmony of the play that ended mulih play according to plan.Things returned to normal play Semar sometimes even appear as a fresh air carriers and thehumorous seasoning with punakawan others, can be used to establish rapport with theaudience. Semar is a symbol characters will be elected to the presence of a knight, who has agenuine spirit of struggle, and the birth of world harmony.Kata Kunci: Semar, pertunjukan, wayang kulit jawa, gaya Surakarta.

Abstract

Mengadaptasikan dalam pengertian ini berarti "meminjam"; "mencocokkan" atau ''mengimplementasikan". Kajian untuk pola ritme kendangan ciblon yang akan diimplementasikan  ke  dalam  ansambel  perkusi,  merupakan  sebuah eksperimentasi penggunaan idiom-idiom musik tradisional Jawa pada musik Barat. Proses adaptasi ini berawal dan pola ritme maupun warna suara kendangan ciblon di mana hal itu akan diimplementasikan ke dalam ansambel perkusi. Kajian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ke dua elemen itu kemungkinan dapat dilakukan. Dan perbedaan yang ada antara musik Barat dan musik tradisional Jawa akan mendasari sebuah penciptaan musik baru. Beberapa cara yang dilakukan dalam implementasi, yaitu penulisan notasi khusus yang mengacu pada sistem notasi Barat, penyeleksian pola ritme kendangan ciblon dan kemudian akan diimplementasikan ke dalam ensambel perkusi, seperti alat musik bongo, conga, tom-tom consert dan lain sebagainya. Hasilnya adalah sebuah genre musik yang memiliki wama baru yang dapat memberi perspektif dan kemungkinan baru di dalam dunia komposisi musik. Kata kunci: Pola Ritme, Musik Barat, Musik Tradisional Jawa.

Abstract

Kentrung “Tri Setyo Budoyo” is a traditional performing art of Blitar. That is a traditional performing art that can survive in the modern era. One of the factors affecting Kentrung “Tri Setyo Budoyo” to survive is adult acculturation on the performing arts. This article aims to (1) Describe the acculturation of art of Kentrungt “Tri Setyo Budoyo” in Dayu Village, Nglegok District, Blitar Regency. (2) Explains the innovation of Kentrung art “Tri Setyo Budoyo” in Dayu Village, Nglegok District, Blitar Regency. This research is a qualitative research, with the object of research is the art of Reog Bulkiyo in Kemloko Village, Nglegok District, Blitar Regency. Data collection techniques used through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis technique used is taxonomic analysis.The results showed that cultural change is universal. If there is a change in the culture of a society, it will affect other aspects such as language, knowledge system, social organization, living equipment system and technology, living livelihood system, religious system, and arts. Art Kentrung Tri Sansoso Budoyo “experiencing acculturation and renewal or innovation, this happens because the culture in the community around the environment also experience acculturation. In the art that has an open mind, it will be able to get and go through these cultural changes so as to survive and thrive in the midst of changing times.

Abstract

Karta Pustaka is one of the cultural institutions in Yogyakarta, which has a classical music concert program. The purpose of this study is to describe the history of Karta Pustaka and organizing classical music concerts, the concert format, and its role in supporting classical music education in Yogyakarta. The method used in this study is qualitative research with historical and musicological approach.The data are collected by using interviews, documents and observations. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptions technicians. The results showed that Karta Pustaka as cultural institution has become a classical musicmedia which has a supporting role in classical music education in Yogyakarta. The classical music concert program and classical music workshop held by Karta Pustaka information and knowledge for the students and people of musical art in Yogyakarta. In addition Karta Pustaka also acts as a forming media and the development of consumer’s classical music tastes and styles in Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Kebudayaan sebagai abstraksi pengalaman manusia bersifat dinamis dan cenderunguntuk berkembang sejalan dengan perkembangan masyarakat pendukungnya, di sisilain mitos juga mencerminkan kebudayaan dan cenderung menyampaikan pesanpesanyang bersifat transformative, yang terpadu dalam satu mitos, ataupun bisaterwujud dalam versi baru dalam mitos yang sama. Fungsi mitos dalam kehidupansosial budaya masyarakat pendukungnya adalah: (1) untuk mengembangkan simbolsimbolyang penuh makna serta menjelaskan fenomena lingkungan yang merekahadapi; (2) sebagai pegangan bagi masyarakat pendukungnya untuk membinakesetiakawanan sosial di antara para anggota agar ia dapat saling membedakanantara komunitas yang satu dan yang lain ; dan (3) sebagai sarana pendidikan yangpaling efektif terutama untuk mengukuhkan dan menanamkan nilai-nilai budaya,norma-norma sosial dan keyakinan tertentu. Pada umumnya mitos-mitosdikembangkan untuk menanamkan dan mengukuhkan nilai-nilai budaya, pemikiranmaupun pengetahuan tertentu, yang berfungsi untuk merangsang perkembangankreativitas dalam berpikir.Kata Kunci : mitos, pesan terselubung, budaya, kreatifitas berpikir
