Abstract

The research aimed to improve the entrepreneurship spirit and the mastery ofchemistry concepts for chemistry teacher students by applying the basic chemistrylearning model oriented chemoentrepreneurship (CEP) using chemoedutainment(CET) media. This research used the Education Research and Development design.The data were collected through concept mastering test, questionnairre andobservation sheet. The research result showed that the application of the learningmodel improved the concept mastery of chemistry teacher students with high andmedium attachment levels. The advantages of this model are (1) improving themastery of basic chemistry concept for chemistry teacher students, (2) improving thestudents’ activity during learning, (3) giving a chance to the lecturers to serve thestudents through individual services.Kata kunci: Chemo-entrepreneurship (CEP), Chemo-entertaintment (CET),Pembelajaran Kimia Dasar

Abstract

This study aims (1) to obtain information about the conditions of the availability andadequacy of Elementary School (ES) teachers in Sleman Regency in terms of thenumber, academic qualification, and competence, and (2) to find out the distributionpatterns. This study was an evaluation study employing the document analysis. Theevaluation steps included: (1) setting the standard for the adequacy of the number ofteachers, (2) setting the index of the adequacy of teachers, and (3) analyzing theavailability and adequacy of teachers using the quantitative descriptive method. Theresults of the evaluation show that the availability of teachers is more than theminimum number, being excessive approximately 39%, and availability of teachers interms of academic qualification and competence meets only 43% and 14% of theminimum number of teachers. Besides, the information shows that the distribution ofthe number of teachers is not proportional to that of the number of students.Kata kunci: evaluasi, kecukupan, guruSD

Abstract

Mengetik manual merupakan salah satu mata kuliah keahlian berkarya yang bersifat keterampilan. Ini bertujuan untuk mengajarkan mahasiswa bagaimana mengetik secara baik dengan menggunakan sistem 10 jari buta. Selain itu, dengan mengetik yang baik akan meringankan pekerjaan lainnya. Hasil keterampilan mengetik manual mahasiswa saat ini tidak memuaskan. Misalnya, mereka tidak menggunakan jari-jari mereka dengan benar pada keybord sesuai dengan fungsinya. Mata terfokus pada keyboard bukan pada teks naskah yang akan diketik. Akibatnya, membutuhkan waktu lama dalam mengetik. Media Gudmen sebagai alat untuk membantu mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mengetik. Subyek penelitian adalah 20 mahasiswa semester 3, jurusan pendidikan ekonomi administrasi kantor yang sedang mengambil mengetik manual I. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan 2 siklus. Pada siklus I, ditemukan bahwa 65% mahasiswa mampu menerapkan sistem 10 jari buta. Pada siklus II, keterampilan mengetik dengan 10 jari buta meningkat sebesar 85%. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah media Gudmen dapat membantu meningkatkan keterampilan mengetik 10 jari buta pada mahasiswa. Sedangkan sarannya adalah (1) Pengajar mengetik manual diharapkan menggunakan media Gudmen dalam pembelajaran, (2) Mahasiswa diharapkan sering berlatih menerapkan sistem 10 jari buta. Manual typing is one of vocational skill subjects. It aims to teach the students how to type accurately by using Touch System. Moreover, it also gives the students typing skills so that they can do various typing jobs well. Current students’ typing skill is not satisfactory yet. For example, they do not use their fingers properly on the right keyboard. They focus their eyes on the keyboard not on the text. As a result, they take a long time to type. Gudmen media has been used as a tool for helping students to improve their typing skills. The subjects of the study were twenty 3rd semester students, majoring in office administrations. The students were taking typing subject. This study is Classroom Action Research involving two cycles. In cycle I, it was found that 65% students were able to apply Touch System. In cycle II, their skill improved as much as 85%.  It is concluded that the Gudmen media could help improve the students’ touch system typing skill. Finally, it is suggested that : (1) manual typing lecturers use Gudmen media, (2) the students practice applying touch system more frequently.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the physics teacher student’sconception and the reasoning of their conception regarding the acceleration of asimple pendulum. A paper-pencil test was conducted to explore their conception of theacceleration concept at this case. Thirty second-year-students were asked to specifywhether the acceleration of the pendulum is zero at the indicated points, and to specifyits direction if it is not zero. Based on the result of the test, an interview wasconducted to the students for analysing the underlying cognition (reasoning) of theiranswers. The result of this study showed that all of students could not draw thedirection of the acceleration. Additionally, there were three groups of students basedon the cognitive analysis. The first group was the most students (50%) that hadconfusion of the acceleration definition, so they were unable to interpret it properly.The second one was some students (30%) that assumed the pendulum oscillation is asa simple harmonic motion, in which the acceleration at its equilibrium point is zero.The last group was the others (20%) that considered the pendulum oscillation is as apart of an uniform circular motion, in which the acceleration is always toward thecentre.Kata kunci: analisis kognitif, percepatan, ayunan sederhana

Abstract

The globalisation era influences the shift in moral values and students'behavior. This is reinforced with the the fast growing informational technology whichdevelops in a matter of seconds.As a result, negative foreign culture is easily absorbedwithout a sufficient filter. Today what happens at one part of the world can be directlymonitored from other parts of the world. In the globalization, students think critically.The border of moral values is very slight. The example from biraucrats is regardedpoor. There are many vulgar moral values exposed to young generations. Theexposure has a negative risk for the students. This condition becomes a quite fatalweak point for educators to implant good conduct at schools and homes. The goodconducts education at schools is stepping backward. Emphirically teachers hardlyever teach good conducts at schools. Students behaved impolitely to teachers anddespised their peers. This is because good conducts as a subject which standsindependently from other subjects does not exist. The subject was integrated into twosubjects: civics and religion education. However, this is regarded as a failure. Thesubject still fails even when it was integrated with mathematics, science, socialscience, arts, Indonesian, and physical education. Good conducts should be includedin the curriculum as an independent subject. The assessment should emphasize theability to apply good conducts in every day life.Kata kunci : pendidikan budi pekerti, sekolah, dan etika

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan dan penguasaan konsep siswa terhadap materi pengelolaan lingkungan di SMP Negeri 1 Jekulo Kudus. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-experimental design dengan pola one group pretest-posttest design yang diterapkan pada kelas VII B dan VII C. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Penilaian kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan diambil dari skala psikologis kepedulian siswa dan hasil observasi, sedangkan untuk penguasaan konsep diambil dari perbandingan N-gain nilai pretest-posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata skor psikologis siswa yakni 71,03% dan rata-rata N-gain untuk penguasaan konsep 0,46 pada kelas VII B dan 0,47 pada kelas VII C. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pembelajaran biologi yang mengarah pada penanaman karakter peduli lingkungan dapat meningkatkan kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi pengelolaan lingkungan This study aims to increase the students' environmental awareness and concept mastery of the environmental management material in SMP Negeri 1 Jekulo Kudus. This study was a Pre-Experimental Design with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design which was applied to the class of VII B and VII C. Samples were collected by convenience sampling. Students’ environmental awareness were assessed by the use of the psychological scale and observations, while the mastery of the material concepts were drawn from a comparison of N-gain pretest-posttest scores. The results showed that the average of students' psychological scale scores  is 71,03% and the N-gain average of the concept mastery was 0.46 in VII B class and 0.47 in VII C class. the study results support that biology class which orient the students to develop their environmental awareness character can improve the students' environmental awareness and mastery concept of environment management.

Abstract

The term technical and vocational education is introduced in the Law No. 20 of2003 on National Education System. The concept of technical and vocationaleducation emphasizes on education which ensures that students have a specificexpertise and job. The government hopes that graduates of a technical and vocationaleducation become work forces who have life skills which are relevant to the jobmarket demand. In order to realize the expectation quality improvement ontechnical and vocational education is needed. Some issues which have to be takeninto account regarding the quality improvement of technical and vocationaleducation are that: (1) the administrartion must be supported by the administratingorganization, local and central government, (2) the curriculum is competencebased,(3) the administration is developed in line with the local potentials, (4) andthe administration must involve business/industry. The success of theadministration of technical and vocational education will lessen the state'seconomical burden. Abstract

Seseorang dengan autisme memiliki kesulitan dalam pembelajaran yang melibatkan aktivasi sistem cermin neuron akan tetapi beberapa penelitian mendokumentasikan bahwa seseorang dengan autisme dapat menyelesaikan tugas sosial-emosional yang melibatkan proses deklaratif inferensial. Berawal dari hal tersebut penulis mengkaji keterlibatan antara autisme dan sistem cermin neuron pada pembelajaran PAI sebagai pendekatan, penanganan autisme yang menekankan imitasi sosial, komunikasi verbal dan non-verbal sehingga dapat membantu dalam mengembangkan pendekatan pedagogik PAI dan pengobatan yang tepat untuk autisme. Artikel ini merupakan literatur review dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil dari kajian analisis faktor tersebut penulis menemukan lima aspek yang tepat untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam dengan pendekatan sistem cermin neuron yang dapat dikembangkan: (i) meningkatkan perkembangan intelektual dengan berinteraksi sosial, (ii) memotivasi dalam menghadirkan dan memberikan model seperti para nabi dan sahabat, (iii) penggunaan pembelajaran yang fleksibel dan selektif, (iv) mekanisme yang memungkinkan untuk pemetaan implisit dan belajar dari perilaku para nabi dan sahabat serta (v) Seseorang yang berperan sebagai mediator dan pembantu. Dari lima aspek tersebut model pembelajaran yang tepat digunakan adalah Early Start Denver (ESD).

Abstract

Joshi memiliki peranan penting dalam komunikasi bahasa Jepang. Jenis joshi yang banyak dan fungsinya yang sama tersebut, menjadi salah satu penyebab kesalahan pembelajar bahasa Jepang ketika menggunakannya dalam berkomunikasi melalui bahasa tulis dan bahasa lisan. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat melalui hasil ujian mata kuliah struktur bahasa Jepang tingkat dasar (bunpo shokyu kohan). Kesalahan pembelajar sebagian besar terdapat pada penggunaan partikel, maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kesalahan apa saja dan penyebab kesalahan penggunaan joshi yang dilakukan oleh pembelajar bahasa Jepang. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa sumber tulisan yaitu hasil ujian mata kuliah bunpo shokyu kohan. Berdasarkan pembahasan, disimpulkan bahwa kesalahan penggunaan joshi oleh pembelajar bahasa Jepang yaitu penggunaan joshi ni, de, wa, ga, e. Kesalahan bahasa tersebut yaitu intrabahasa, pembelajar bahasa dalam menggunakan joshi dalam bahasa Jepang dipengaruhi oleh bahasa ibu dan pembelajar tidak dapat membedakan dan memahami dengan benar fungsi joshi dalam kalimat bahasa Jepang. Joshi are important in communication of Japanese language. Kinds and that functions as the same of joshi, can is one of reasons error to use joshi for Japanese language learner in communication by writing or speaking. It can be looked by test grammar Japanese language basic level. Error, a learner mostly found in the used of particles, then purpose of this study is know about error anything and the cause of mistake or error use in joshi conducted by Japanese learner. Approach this research using a qualitative approach. These data in form of sources written which is exams course of Japanese grammar basic level. The result of research show that error was used joshi by Japanese learner are joshi ni, de,  wa, ga and e. Error of that language is intralanguage, Japanese learner when used Japanese influenced by mother tongue and the learner couldn’t distinguish of joshi function and understanding correctly of joshi function in Japanese language.

Abstract

Asesmen merupakan bagian integral dari proses pembelajaran sains. Aspek-aspek yang diukur dalam sains menentukan strategi pembelajaran dan jenis asesmen. Selama ini, aspek yang diukur masih terbatas pada kemampuan kognitif dan belum mengarah pada penguasaan literasi sains. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengembangkan instrumen asesmen autentik berbasis literasi sains pada materi sistem ekskresi berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan disekolah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development, dengan desain penelitian pretest posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian ujicoba skala kecil adalah 10 siswa anggota KIR SMAN 3Semarang, dan ujicoba skala luas adalah 68 siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 3 Semarang. Produk penelitian berupa peer assessment, penilaian unjuk kerja, proyek, portofolio, sikap, dan tes. Hasil pengembangan instrumen asesmen autentik berbasis literasi sains menunjukkan bahwa instrumen asesmen valid, reliabel, efektif, dan tingkat kepraktisannya tinggi. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata validitas menunjukkan kriteria sangat tinggi. Keefektivan instrumen ditunjukkan dengan perubahan positif hasil belajar siswa, peningkatan indeks gain berada pada kisaran sedang, dan adanya pengaruh positif penerapan instrumen asesmen terhadap hasil belajar. Kepraktisan instrumen asesmen ditunjukkan oleh adanya respon positif siswa dan guru. Assessment is an integral part of the learning process of science. Measured aspects in determining science learning strategies and types of assessment. During this time,aspects ofthe measured is limited to cognitive abilities and not lead to mastery of science literacy. The research objective is to develop authentic assessment instrument based on material science literacy excretion system based on analysis of school needs.The type of the research was Research and Development, and pretest posttest control group design. The limited-scale subjects were 10 scientific group students of SMAN 3 Semarang, and the implementation-scale subjects were 68 students of Grade XI IPA of SMAN 3 Semarang. Product research is peer assessment, performance assessments, projects, portfolios, attitudes, and test.The research analysis showed that the science literacy based authentic assessment instrument developed in the study was valid, reliable, effective, and practical. This was shown from the very high score of the validity mean. The effectiveness of the instrument could be shown from the positive changes on the students’ study outcomes, with the gain index in medium rate, and the positive impact of the instrument implementation on the students’ study outcomes. The assessment instrument was considered practical based on the positive responses from students and teachers.
