Abstract

Every citizen expects that RT / RW cover letter service can be obtained quickly and accurately. However, the expectation of public services such as introducing RT / RW letters sometimes can not be realized. Often the handling of RT / RW cover letters takes days. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the quality of public service in the form of introductory letter service of RT / RW for the people in need. Specific targets of community service are: (1) establishment of public service system of RT / RW introduction letter online, and (2) implementation of public service system of RT / RW introduction letter online. Based on the results of community service activities, it is concluded that the RT RW online introduction letter application system is one of the alternative solutions for effective citizen administration services, since this system can overcome the difficulties of citizens in obtaining administrative services indefinitely dimensional space and time. The residents welcomed the existence of this RT RW online introduction letter application system, especially for residents of immigrant residents (residents of residential complex). However, for the original villagers, the existence of this system has not been so needed. The majority of the original villagers will not use this online system. Based on feedback on the ease of use of the system and the attractive appearance of this system, it is realized that the system is still a lot of shortcomings, so that future improvements are still needed.

Abstract

Targets to be achieved through IbM is on aspects of production and management. Aspects of the production which increased the production technology of making souvenirs, increasing capacity in the field of design through the program Corel Draw and Adobe Photoshop as well as consolidation of production procedures with due regard to health and safety work management. Management aspects namely on financial management, financial management hold good with regular bookkeeping, through marketing management produces forms of promotion through various media. Market network expansion and facilitate consumer access to order products.Through HR management can improve the training of human resources, the provision of entrepreneurial motivation and self empowerment. IbM implemented through phases 1 ) Preparation ; 2 ) Stage Assessment ; 3 ) The Plan or Program Activity; 4 ) Phase Action Plan ; 5 ) Implementation Phase or activity ; and 6 ) Evaluation Phase . It is expected to be implemented through the stages can help solve problems and realize the needs of partners.

Abstract

Cooking oil is one of the needs of society in order to fulfill daily needs. The economic condition of Indonesian people is very diverse, some use cooking oil for single use but some also use cooking oil for several times usage. The high unsaturated fatty acids in cooking oil, cause cooking oil will be easily damaged in the process of frying (deep frying) because in the process of frying, oil will be heated continuously at high temperatures. The  use  of  used  cooking  oil  or  jelantah  can  cause  adverse  effects  to  the  commu- nity  and  the  environment.  The  adverse  impacts  on  the  community  are  caused  by the  decline  in  the  quality  of  food  fried  with  cooking  oil  which  results  in  disruption  of  public  health.  Adverse  impact  to  the  environment  is  the  disposal  of  cooking   oil   without   first   processing   can   pollute   the   soil   and   water   environment. Utilization of used cooking oil as kerosene replacement fuel is one solution that can be tak- en when facing the bad impact of used cooking oil. In order to serve as a substitute fuel for kerosene, jelantah oil must have karaketristik that is almost the same as kerosene. One of the most important characteristics is the viscosity number. Wrinkled oil has a high viscosity, so that the use of jelantah oil must undergo certain processes to decrease its viscosity. One way to reduce viscosity is by warming at high temperatures over long periods of time. Partners    in    this    devotional    activity    are    the    vendors    of    gorengan    around the  campus  of  UNNES  FMIPA.  They  use  a  lot  of  cooking  oil  in  their  business,  maybe  even  cooking  oil  used  many  times  and  waste  of  used  cooking  oil will   be   thrown   indiscriminately   so   as   to   pollute   the   surrounding   environment. With this devotion is expected the traders gorengan around FMIPA UNNES campus can process waste used cooking oil into fuel substitute kerosene so that will reduce environmental pollution.

Abstract

Sejarah merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari proses perubahan dan keberlanjutan dalam dimensi ruang dan waktu, maka pengajaran sejarah perlu dilaksanakan untuk membangun pemahaman keilmuan berprespektif ruang dan waktu. Akan tetapi dalam pembelajaran sejarah selama ini, siswa yang mengikuti seringkali mengalami berbagai kesulitan terkait dengan pemahaman perspektif ruang dalam konteks sejarah. Oleh karena itu secara teoritis keberadaan media mutlak diperlukan untuk membantu mengatasi problem tersebut. Salah satu program yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam mempelajari sejarah adalah dengan pemanfaatan program Google Earth. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian dengan judul Meningkatkan Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru-Guru Sejarah SMA di Semarang dalam Kemampuan Pemanfaatan Media Melalui Pelatihan Aplikasi Teknologi Google Earth dalam Pembelajaran Sejarah, adalah: 1). Terciptanya proses belajar mengajar sejarah yang menyenangkan bagi peserta didik sesuai dengan perkembangan dan kematangan jiwanya. 2). Memberi motivasi kepada guru-guru sejarah SMA di Semarang akan pentingnya meningkatkan kompetensi Pedagogik terutama dalam hal pemanfaatan media terutama aplikasi teknologi Google Earth. 3). Meningkatnya kompetensi dan kreatifitas guru untuk menggunakan media berbasis internet dalam pembelajaran sejarah sesuai dengan karakter dan situasi lingkungan silabus yang telah disusun. 4) Meningkatnya pemahaman spasial peserta didik sehingga prestasi belajar semakin baik yang dapat meningkatkan mutu pendidikan.

Abstract

Air is one of the most important elements of life for living things in the world. For humans, the air is an element that is very concerned because it is related to health. In the city of Semarang, the Air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU) at the KLHK station (Ministry of Life and Environment) Semarang City recorded a PM 10 of 7 while the air quality in Jakarta was monitored by the Air Quality Index (AQI) of 67 with parameters in the form of very small pollutant particles with a diameter less than 2.5 micrometres (PM 2.5). The Indonesian government has made efforts to reduce the air pollution index, such as reducing the number of vehicles with odd-even systems, users of environmentally friendly transportation modes such as BRT and Trans Central Java and clearing green lands in the middle of the city. The purpose of this research is how we make a tool that can determine the quality of the air around us and can be carried (portable) anywhere easily. Following the 4.0 industrial revolution that everything has been integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) technology where the community can find out the air condition in real-time. In this research, later using the prototype method as a test. The main components are sensors consisting of MQ-6 (CO2 and smoke), MQ-7 (CO, LPG, CH4), MQ135 (Butane, AirQuality), and DHT-11 (Humidity, temperature) From the research that has been done where the air quality in urban areas has a low air quality index by measuring using a prototype consisting of a gas sensor and Arduino microntroller, which has been made to produce an average CO2 of 25 ppm, CO 2330 which has exceeded the threshold, while NH3 1.23 and C4H10 1120 are still below the threshold. These values are influenced by pollutants generated by transportation such as motorbikes, cars, and land transportation.

Abstract

The background of this activity has occurred is water pollution in Kaligarang river. Therefore it is necessary efforts to protect the environment along the it. Exercising their activities consist of (1) Preparation, (2) Implementation, and (3) evaluation of the participants are young people in rural districts offense Sukorejo Gunungpati Semarang who live along the Kaligarang river who pass through the village. The event begins with a lecture about the pollution of the river and continued geoelectricity measurements at points predetermined. Geoelectricity measurement results obtained in the field of electric current and potential difference at the point of measurement points. Results showed that the participants in the activity have improved understanding of the geoelectric. It is characterized by the seriousness of the activity when participants perform geoelectric measurements, process data directly in the field. Based on the map sectional resistivity soil layer of field measurement data concluded that there has been a seepage of river water in the area Kaligarang community service activities but seepage is not cause contamination in the soil.

Abstract

Program kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk membantu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh usaha kecil pembuatan tempe “Jumari” yang mengalami permasalahan dalam produksi dimana pengelupasan kedelainya masih dilakukan secara tradisional dengan menginjak injak kedelai, sehingga proses pengerjaan lama, kualitas tempenya tidak bersih dan hasil produksi tempenya tidak maksimal. Solusi untuk membantu permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah dengan membuatkan mesin pengelupas kedelai, memberikan pelatihan penggunaan mesin, mendampingi sampai dapat meningkatkan produksi tempe dan melakukan evaluasi kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dari pengabdian yang berupa pemberdayaan ini adalah telah ddapatkan mesin pengelupas kedelai dan ada peningkatan produksi, dimana waktu untuk mengelupas kedelai lebih cepat dari sebelumnya, kualitas hasil tempe lebih bersih, dan adanya peningkatan laba bersih

Abstract

Community service activities have been carried out with the caption Accompaniment Leather Processing fro Being Gunungpati Jatirejo village Briquette in Semarang. Background This village was chosen for the reason that it has expanded economic activity that produces a variety of snack food products that is characteristic of this village. Program-related community service activities above, the Physics Department has undertaken preparatory activities carried out in the laboratories of Physics. In this preparatory activities have made a molding tool briquettes, briquette press equipment for compacting, testing and analysis of samples. The next activity is the implementation of the results on the field were done with lectures and practical approach. The results of the activities in the field generally indicates that the participants can make some sample briquettes. However, to further the process has not been analyzed, considering the current conditions do not allow the activity to heat up with the sun because of the rain.

Abstract

The village of Sekaran is one of the villages located close to the UNNES Campus. The cur- rent Village of Sekaran villagers are in addition to the natives, UNNES students who rent houses or boarding in the area, and some are urban, or urban, people who prefer suburban residences. Some of the land in the village of Sekaran has turned into housing and one of the closest housing of the cam- pus is Sekar Gading Housing. Residents in Housing Sekar Gading, especially the mothers belonging to Dasa Wisma are very hungry for various activities based on environmentally friendly. One of the activities they want is how to make organic fertilizer especially from household waste. Therefore, the initial plan of activities originally in the village of Banyuwindu devotees move to the village of Sek- aran, especially in Housing Sekar Gading. The main reason for moving the location because after coordination several times Banyuwindu community difficult to determine the time of activity, while the implementation time of service activities should be as soon as possible. While the choice of loca- tion in Housing Sekar Gading because of the welcome and enthusiasm of people in the housing is very good. Targets to be achieved in this activity is the increasing understanding of the community in Housing Sekar Gading in managing waste independently, the community is able to utilize local mi- croorganisms as an environmentally friendly composting material, and can reduce the dependence on the use of chemical fertilizers. The outcomes of this devotional activity are 1) articles for national seminars or journals, 2) appropriate technology (TTG) of local potential waste-based waste manage- ment. The results achieved in this activity is organic fertilizer products using local microorganisms.

Abstract

Has carried out activities to the community in the form of the development of the printing press in the village briquettes Jatireo Gunungpati Kodia subdistrict in Semarang. The background of this activity is to address the process of making briquettes at the time of printing, where the results obtained are not crowded so long the flame is not as expected. To overcome these problems have created a tool that is used to press briquettes load prior to release of the molding tool. The results showed no difference in the thickness of the pressed briquettes are pressed. The thickness of the briquettes without using the press is 1 cm and 0.5 cm using a press. In addition, test results obtained by burning briquettes burning rate of the skin and fro in the range of 0.03 to 0.04 g/s. This result is consistent with the type of biomass briquettes from other types such as wood, leaves, etc. with 0.03 combustion rate g/s. The color of the flame indicated when laboratory testing is reddish yellow and the smoke does not cause itching when on the skin.
