Abstract

One of the reasons why philosophy has been isolated from the public and daily life is that philosophical knowledge supporters tend to be unsophisticated in involving their self to the various problem of daily life discussion, even in the local, national, or global world level. It is in this isolation, the discussion topic of this paper has its meaning as a “sociology of philosophy” which supposes that the practical life is connected with the philosophical theses or just the opposite. We will analyze two problems of this topic; first, the system and model of learning the area of philosophical studies, and second, how to represent Pancasila as a part of citizen’s life which has function in conducting the stride of daily and political life in this country.

Abstract

This work contains an ideal description of prominent figure that is assumed as a proper person to be recruited in the effort of Indonesia unification. Briefly, the topic we will discuss in this paper is dealing with a wish of a few people to return to the past in gaining the prominent figure and the importance of having a leader that respectful with the democratic spirit as a continuing capital in mobilization of whole people’s capability in the direction of Indonesian unification. As a result of the discussion, we will argue that according to the plural condition of Indonesia, the recruitment of a prominent figure should be departed from the smallest rural area that has ability in programming the collaboration with some other areas. The collaboration should be based on the sameness of both vision and mission of his or her political party. But as we have known, most of Indonesian community member knows more about the prominent figure than the vision and mission of political party. Therefore, to win in the local-general election, a political party depends on the influence of prominent figure. Ironically, most of the prominent figure that contribute much in winning the election, he or she is not supported by party’s policy.

Abstract

The authentic of Pancasila’s formulation has been agreed as was grafted in the preamble of 1945 constitution. However, the problem of interpretation to Pancasila’s content (sila-sila), whether it is an authentic or not is still emerging many questions. In the regime of New Order there was an effort of Pancasila’s meaning standardization through political decision even though there were many reactions to refuse it. The familial relationship is static aspect and mutual-cooperation is dynamic aspect are always serve as a core or keyword for understanding of Indonesian state system. Pancasila as the foundation of Indonesian state is a part of the system of state. Therefore, the content of Pancasila (sila-sila) should be understood from the angel of familial relationship as its core and keyword. The founding fathers intended to form the state that is based on the Indonesian culture. The life of society based on the Indonesian culture is a familial relationship life. The state that is based on the familial relationship is an integral-state which is powerful than the personal-minded or group’s interest in the way of the integral-state acknowledges the extraordinary of such group.

Abstract

As we have seen in its fact, the reformation program which is implemented not on the base of the Indonesian nation’s core philosophy drags Indonesian to come into multi-crisis situation. The violence conflict, terrorism, ethnical, racial, class and religious conflicts in this country had sacrificed a big amount of innocence nation’s generation. All of that is caused by unemployed philosophical base of Indonesian state, Pancasila which is dealt with divinity values, humanity, nationality, democracy and social justice in the process of reformation. Therefore, to form the democratic, religious and civilized society in the process of reformation since globalization era, the revitalization of nation state’s philosophical foundation is a must. In addition to form such society, the bureaucrats and political elites ought to develop their political communication attitude based on the morality, religious and civilized values as its result as to realize the welfare society on the togetherness as its foundation. In accordance with both national and rural developments, the philosophy of nation-state must be despised as the foundation of paradigmatic orientation of culture strategy because of national and rural developments are complex problem. Philosophy provides an inter-connected policy foundations and guidance in finding a wise solution to the complex problem.

Abstract

The paper will tries to review classical debate about “the stable” and “the change” and discuss every notion in their variants. Description about the debate among philosophers will express chronologically as possible. Last but not least, it tries to express “the stable” and “the change” in Philosophy of Pancasila perspective. Pancasila, in its position as a genetivus objectivus, is very interesting to interpreted continuously; in order to do it, we must neither to maintain “the stabile” as a “glorious” in the one hand nor merely want to make it “change” in the other hand. For both attitudes are naïve and irresponsible. Pancasila, as a life symbol, must be actualized and interpreted openly, dialogically and there is no place for monopoly in interpretation. While, Pancasila as a genetivus subjectivus, give answer to the developing and management of state problems, unavoidably, the changes are always as assumption. “The stable” is “being” itself with its identity and developing; and that is meaning its existence. The ethical implication, therefore, is commitment to values inhering on the existence of being itself. “The change” is the way to handle of being and its technical management.

Abstract

In this paper, Pancasila, local wisdom and regional development are critically analyzed from the perspective of regional representative board. It was a real situation that the emergence of central-regional dichotomies in the terminology of “capitalistic development” was continuously designed by the new order regime. As its result, the dichotomy emerged unproductive impacts for Indonesian community in the region. The regional development’s mission should be understood as an effort of regional autonomy stabilization, primarily in the implementation of development and government tasks, acceleration of regional development by strengthening and raising “capacity for competence” as a foundation of regional growth. Therefore, the regional development is proposed to develop and strengthen the government in accordance with the regional autonomy implementation such as realistic, dynamic, harmonious, and responsible governance.
