Abstract

AbstractEcological perspective is a significant issue nowadays because there are many kinds of disaster around us stimulated by ecological disturbance. Actually, we have traditional knowledge and wisdoms to sustain the nature and protect it. This point of view is usually melted in mythological beliefs and traditional rituals. This is also showed by people around Wonosadi forest.The mythological belief connects to the existence of Wonosadi forest. This belief supports an ecological wisdom which functions in the forest sustainability. This wisdom is implied by a view of Wonosadi’s people about relation between man, nature, and God. Human should thank to God by praying and serving a good conduct to nature. All of them are one system that connects one and each other. This view must be a combination between spiritualistic and rationalistic understanding. This thought shows an organicholistic view.Keywords: myth, belief, mythology, spiritual, ecology, ecologicalwisdom, rational.

Abstract

One of the reasons why philosophy has been isolated from the public and daily life is that philosophical knowledge supporters tend to be unsophisticated in involving their self to the various problem of daily life discussion, even in the local, national, or global world level. It is in this isolation, the discussion topic of this paper has its meaning as a “sociology of philosophy” which supposes that the practical life is connected with the philosophical theses or just the opposite. We will analyze two problems of this topic; first, the system and model of learning the area of philosophical studies, and second, how to represent Pancasila as a part of citizen’s life which has function in conducting the stride of daily and political life in this country.

Abstract

Thisarticle isaresultoflibraryresearchwhichaimstounderstandtranssexual phenomenon which is a real significant problem because there is an increasing number of transsexuals who shows their existence undisguisedly as an opposite gender. The transsexual is a person who believes that psychologically he/she feels similar to the opposite gender and trapped in their biological sex. Further- more, they tend to do medical surgery on certain parts of their body to mirror the opposite gender, mostly the genital. The result of this study indicates that the transsexual is one of gender disorders which they feel 'trapped' in the wrong body. More clearly, the transsexual is a person who is physically perfect as a man or a woman but he/she has a strong tendency to express and perform him- self/herself as the opposite gender. Freedom is the highest form of perfection for the transsexual existence, but the freedom appears in their worry. Soul, accor- ding to the transsexuals, is understood as psyche. They believe that body is a re- flection of soul, and that is the reason why they undergo sexual surgery in which they want to be accepted in society as a whole human being. The trans- sexuals show their existence in order to obtain their life's purpose which is a blessed-full life as an opposite gender.

Abstract

AbstractNowadays, Indonesia national history is moving to universalism and will experience the historical paradox process, namely, the movement unified as a result of science and technology development that are able to protect. Men will be flowed to grouping in their own national community. It happens for human being claim justice and freedom. In the one hand, Capitalists as chief of globalization, nowadays, carry Neo-Liberalism as a thesis; in the other hand, there is Universal-Islam that carries Radicalism or terrorism as anti-thesis. Although they use a same language,reciprocally, they can not understand each other. The two languages, as if, come from two contradictory cultures, therefore, undoubtedly, they create the clash of civilization. The paradoxical and conflict phenomena will reduce if community in nation-state success in consolidate base on their consciousness, that the synthesis of social-dialectic in this age is a new and fresh national life, as the raising of Neo-Nationalism in the Nation-States in all over the world.Keywords: Neo-Nationalism, Globalization and Nation-States

Abstract

Nowadays, multicultural society with its ideology: multiculturalism, has been paid much attention from many people. The concept has been predicted as an effective solution for conflict problems in plural societies. Jürgen Habermas, in this case, has offered his concept: discourse ethics, which gives interest to an ability for discourse. The goal of this research is to find the relevancy of the discourse ethics for multicultural society. To what extent the challenge of multicultural society could be answered by the discourse ethics. This writing shows that the discourse ethics has offered an ethical dimension in which be constructed socially for values preference. It is decided by a rational discourse. The rational discourse is a responsibility discourse which pays attentions to validity claims. The reconstruction of new values in the discourse will drive to formation of a new world which is objective and becomes a life-world where we live together. The model of multicultural society with its plurality needs discourse ability. It is hoped that with the ability people can avoid appearance of conflicts. For this, multicultural educations could be an effort to support growth of multicultural consciousness.
