Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya siswa Sekolah Dasar yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep penjumlahan tidak senama.  Kesulitan tersebut dimungkinkan oleh faktor penyajian materi dalam pembelajaran diantaranya penggunaan alat peraga dan metode pembelajaran yang kurang tepat. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk: (1) mendiskripsikan pola kesulitan siswa dalam memahami penjumlahan pecahan tidak senama, (2) mendiskripsikan penyebab kesulitan siswa dalam memahami penjumlahan pecahan tidak senama, dan (3) mendiskripsikan pembelajaran penjumlahan pecahan tidak senama melalui media bidang.Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research). Bantuan mengatasi kesulitan siswa dalam penjumlahan pecahan tidak senama dilakukan dengan tahapan enaktif, ikonik, dan simbolik melalui media bidang dengan 4 tindakan pembelajaran yaitu: (1) pembelajaran konsep pecahan, (2) pembelajaran konsep pecahan senilai, (3) pembelajaran penjumlahan pecahan tidak senama dengan penyebut pecahan yang satu merupakan faktor dari penyebut pecahan yang lain, (4) pembelajaran pecahan tidak senama dengan penyebut pecahan yang satu bukan faktor dari penyebut pecahan yang lain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan mengikuti 4 tindakan pembelajaran melalui media bidang denga 3 tahap penyajian yaitu enaktif, ikonik, dan simbolik subjek penelitian memperoleh pemahaman yang baik tentang konsep penjumlahan pecahan tidak senama.

Abstract

Critical  and creative thinking is a cognitive development that is expected to have the students after the learning process takes place. Natural Sciences is a very broad knowledge and consists of several related disciplines. To learn not just rely on rote just because science is integrated with the knowledge of Science, Environment, Technology) and Society  or can be abbreviated by SETS is one approach that can motivate students in learning activities to think critically and creatively. This activity is carried out on teachers Junior High Schools in Surabaya northern incorporated in MGMP as much as  32 teachers. Implementation process is carried out: The first meeting discussions device (curriculum, materials and activity analysis), followed by a second meeting to presentation of group work as real teaching in class in accordance with the selected model teacher. From observations and questionnaires obtained show that: 8 teachers expressed very pleased with SETS approach, students are very interested because there is discussion time among friends, presentation of results and reflection. In the presentation of performance results of students who appear to think critically and creatively in its displays SETS. Conclusion: 1) SETS approach can be used as an alternative in teaching Science-2) Science can not be separated from the environment, technology, and society.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to improve learning process and increase learning outcomes for student  SMP Negeri 1 Bojonegoro class 2B, as much as 39 students. Increasing of learning outcomes  regarding both the average value of students as well as measured by the thoroughness standards of student learning. In the last round has been thoroughly studied all students with an average grade 76.4. The results of each cycle  learning outcomes has increased, in cycle I learning outcomes 74.36% with an average value of 69.7, cycle II 94.36% with an average value of 74.5, cycle at 100% with the value average of 76.4 and at post-test 100% with an average value of 80.2. This result show that   STAD cooperative learning on the subject of the relation mapping and graphics can improve student learning outcome. Implemtation of STAD cooperative learning from the cycle I, II, and III is crease. In the cycle I get 70.50%, of learning management; cycle II 80.59% and the cycle III 95.26%. Based on the results it can be said that teachers in managing learning are very good, because the teacher was trying to condition and direct the activities of students that are in teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

The classroom action research (CAR) has been done to overcome the low activity of the Open University student learning outcomes on the registration phase II 2009.1 Pokjar Bojonegoro on Basic Statistics course. This research has been done by applying the Jigsaw cooperative learning type. CAR performed consisted of pre-cycles for initial data capture, cycle 1 for the repair stage 1 and cycle 2 for phase 2 improvements. Data obtained through observation sheet and test evaluation results of basic statistical learning materials as well as a questionnaire response to ongoing learning. Data processing techniques with descriptive statistics of average and percentage. The results showed that the application of learning cooperatif Jigsaw Basic Statistics in learning activities can increase the activity of students, from 66.7% of students are active to 93.3%. Increased learning outcomes of the Open University student through the implementation of cooperative learning Jigsaw in Basic Statistics learning activities increased 93.3, namely from 3.3% before being implemented improvement to 96.6% after cycle II.

Abstract

Classroom action research has been conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Madiun, by implementing performance assessment on the direct instruction method and obtained information that: (a) the activity of the direct instruction model of learning management with the implementation of performance appraisal on the subject of sub-Limit Function Algebra increased in each round. Score in round I of 3.2 with either category, the second round of 3.5 with very good categories, and the third round of 3.7 with very good categories. (B) learning achievement of students in each round of increases that indicated by the classical mastery learning   in the cycle I is 46.7%, on the second cycle  66.7%, and on the third cycle 82.2%, and (c) Ability student performance from the existing four aspects of the rounds I to III all experienced an increase round. In one aspect, the use of tools and materials in round I, II, and III respectively of 71.9%, 87.5% and 93.7%. In the aspect-2 that is observing the phenomenon observed in round I, II, and III respectively of 75.0%, 84.4% and 90.6%. In the aspect-3 that is analyzing the data of observations on the round I, II, and III respectively of 71.9%, 81.2% and 87.5%. In the aspect-4 which concludes the results of the competency test in round I, II and III respectively of 71.9%, 87.5% and 93,7%.

Abstract

It has been done the developing research of tic tac toe game as a facility of practicing students about atomic structure, molecular shape and inter-molecular forces subject matter. Research purposes to determine themedia feasibility based on the teacher validation. The assessment criteria  include the accuracy of formats, quality, and media as well as evaluating from students includes the precision criteria of formats, media quality and interest of students/benefits of the media. This research software development refers to learning model 4D (four-D model) according to Thiagarajan (1974), which is limited to three stages, namely stage of defining (Define), stage design (Design), stage of development (Development). The result from validation chemistry teacher and the limited try out  in class XI student SMAN I Wonoayu, Sidoarjo. Indicators of feasibility achievement of tic tac toe game media get responses of ≥ 61% o score kreterium from the teacher and student. The results showed that the media play tic tac toe on the subject matter atomic structure, molecular shape and inter-molecular forces are developed for students to class XI have been fit for use on student learning with teacher assessment results at 85.00% for the accuracy of media formats and 85, 00% quality of the media, while the assessment of students at 74.67% for the accuracy of media formats, 75.20% and 87.60% of media quality for the benefit / interest of students.
