Abstract

Batik Tulis Tengah Sawah is one of the UKM in Pacitan and is engaged in hand-written batik. In the production process, the batik maker makes the canting process while sitting on a short chair (dingklik) made of wood without a backrest. The stove used to melt malam is small and there is no table to put the stove on and it is used by 2 batik makers, so it requires the batik makers to sit obliquely facing the gawangan, causing the batik maker to sit with a slight bow. Therefore, it is necessary to assess the risk level of the work posture of the batik when doing the canting process. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the work posture of the batik maker during doing the canting process so that corrective action can be taken to reduce musculoskeletal complaints and bending posture. The result of this research is that the assessment of the risk level of the work posture of batik in all stages of the canting process activity has a REBA score of 5, which is included in the moderate or medium risk level with actions that need to be corrected.

Abstract

Waste is a problem whose existence needs to be minimized, because waste can affect the productivity of a business. This research was conducted at UMKM Swadi Cipta Karya which operates in the convection sector with the main product being fishing bags. The main objective of this research is to minimize waste that occurs in the fishing bag production process. This research uses a lean manufacturing approach with several analysis stages in it, such as value stream mapping (VSM), waste failure mode effect analysis (WFMEA), value stream analysis tools (VALSAT), fishbone diagram, and kaizen. Data in the research were obtained through direct observation by identifying and measuring the time of activities carried out in the fishing bag production process. The results of the analysis using WFMEA conclude that there are main types of waste in the production process, namely transportation, unnecessary motion, and waiting. Analysis of tool selection using VALSAT concluded that PAM was selected to be used to eliminate waste, activities that had to be minimized were more dominant than activities that had to be eliminated (eliminated). These results also provide a layout design that can be implemented by MSMEs. Analysis using Kaizen concludes that the results of 5S are designing the layout well, arranging materials, conducting training, preparing materials, and placing sewing results in baskets to minimize or eliminate waste.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi evolusi cepat dalam sektor energi, industri masih mengandalkan batu bara sebagai sumber energi utama. Meskipun persaingan semakin ketat, dorongan untuk menyempurnakan produk-produknya terus tumbuh. Namun, upaya untuk mengurangi kecacatan dalam produk-produk tersebut tidak selalu berhasil di semua perusahaan. PT XYZ, sebagai salah satu entitas industri, menghadapi tantangan serupa dengan adanya produk batu bara yang tergolong dalam kategori reject dan losses. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan mengidentifikasi penyebab utama dari ketidakberhasilan dalam mencapai standar kualitas dan kuantitas batu bara menggunakan metode FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). Hasil penelitian ini mengungkap beberapa faktor penyebab utama yang mencakup penumpukan batu bara dalam kategori reject, kurangnya penerapan Quality Control, fluktuasi harga batu bara, manajemen limbah yang kurang efektif, kesalahan dalam perencanaan eksplorasi, oksidasi batu bara, prosedur penyimpanan yang tidak memadai, kesalahan dalam pencatatan, dan jumlah kendaraan (dump truck) yang tidak optimal. Temuan ini memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang sumber-sumber utama kecacatan produk, memungkinkan langkah-langkah perbaikan yang lebih terarah dan efektif guna meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas produk batu bara yang dihasilkan oleh perusahaan.

Abstract

Departemen fiber merupakan salah satu departemen yang ada di PT. XYZ yang memproduksi panel dan peralatan bus. Berdasarkan data produksi fiber selama dua bulan terdapat 92 cacat dari 547 produk yang dihasilkan. Jumlah cacat tersebut dianggap cukup besar, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan analisis untuk mengetahui penyebab cacat tersebut dan melakukan perbaikan untuk mengatasinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis penyebab cacat produk melalui analisis penyebab dan dampak kegagalan pada proses produksi serta memprioritaskan perbaikan menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) pada siklus DMAI (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve) Six Sigma. Terdapat tujuh jenis cacat pada produk dalam proses produksi yaitu tebal fiber tidak sesuai standar, tekstur fiber tidak rata, terdapat bercak putih pada fiber, fiber tidak kering secara sempurna, fiber reject (cair/terbakar), hasil dempul yang tidak sempurna, dan hasil cat yang tidak sesuai standar. Rekomendasi perbaikan dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas berdasarkan nilai RPN sedang sampai tinggi dari FMEA. Beberapa usulan perbaikan yang diterapkan adalah pencegahan kegagalan tekstur permukaan fiber, pencegahan kegagalan akibat kesalahan campuran katalis dan pencegahan kegagalan hasil dempul. Penerapan usulan perbaikan tersebut dapat menurunkan nilai DPMO dari 24.027 menjadi 6.543 dan meningkatkan level sigma dari 3,48 menjadi 3,98. Kata kunci: FMEA, Six Sigma, Resiko Kegagalan, DPMO

Abstract

This research aims to overcome the challenge of excessive temperatures in hydroponic gardens by implementing a temperature and water temperature control system. The main problems identified were excessive temperatures in the hydroponic environment and the need for effective methods for monitoring and controlling the water temperature in the garden. This research focuses on overcoming excessive temperatures by using a misting system that can provide efficient water use and maintain water temperature and temperatures in accordance with ideal standards for hydroponic plants. In addition, this research seeks solutions to accurately monitor the temperature of hydroponic garden water and build a control device that allows remote regulation to achieve ideal environmental conditions. Implementing this solution is hoped to increase the productivity and health of hydroponic plants in an optimal environment. Data collection and analysis were conducted to obtain a Mean Square Error value of 1.33, indicating that the average square model prediction error was 1.33 degrees. The Root Mean Squared Error value of 1.15 indicates that the root mean squared model prediction error is 1.15°C, and the r-squared value obtained is 0.86, indicating that this regression model can explain 86% of the observed air temperature variations.

Abstract

In the era of intense global competition, companies must have the right strategy to achieve competitive advantage, one of which is by developing and managing human resources (HR) effectively and efficiently. In the United Tractors Head Office Building, distribution of cleaning services from PT. This disproportionate Mitra Bakti UT shows that the workload is not distributed evenly. Therefore, this research aims to measure the cleaning service workload in the United Tractors Head Office Building and determine the optimal number of workers needed using the Full Time Equivalent (FTE) method. and Work Load Analysis (WLA). In this research, the data taken is in the form of activities and the total hours of completion of these activities. By calculating the workload, you can see the correct number of celaning services and can determine the area of ​​each worker with an even workload. By using the Work Load Analysis method, the results are that the workload for cleaning services work is 250% compared to the existing workload of only 192%. The manpower workload is more balanced, previously the highest value was 104% and the lowest value was 43%, after calculating the workload it became evenly distributed with a value of 83%. After calculating the number of cleaning services from 20 people to 24 people and the area of ​​each manpower is 609 m^2.
