Abstract

Impact of globalization and technological development are two possible causes for the shift in the lifestyle of students. Confirms previous findings that lifestyle affects one's eating habits. Lifestyle and eating habits identified a factor that affects the occurrence of the gastritis. Through lifestyle changes such as diet and diet often consume fast food and spicy, not eating or delay, lack of physical activity, alcohol consumption, use of tobacco, drugs, stress and infection Helicobacter py-lori affects the stomach lining, causing the gastritis. The current study was conducted to analyze the relationship between eating habits with the gastritis at the medical faculty level of student 2010 Sam Ratulangi University Manado. This research is an analytical cross - sectional studies design. Sample pieces in this research were 74 student respondents were already included in the criteria. Results showed that the majority of respondents (58.1%) had a high meal frequency (≥ 3 times a day), the majority of respondents (64.9%) consume large amounts of food (> 1 scoop rice), the next 51.4% re-spondents were in the category of frequently consumed foods and beverages are not irritating. Results of Chi - Square showed that there was no significant association between the frequency of eating with the gastritis (p = 0.177), there was no significant relationship between the meal portion with the gastritis (p = 0.854), there was no significant relationship between the type of food and beverages with the gastritis (p = 0.010). There is no relationship between the frequency of eating with the gastritis. There is no relationship between the meal portion with the gastritis. Abstract

Health is an important aspect in human’s life as well as a right for every human being. Many things need to be considered to increase the public’s health, one of them is to organize health service. Hospital is one of the health service. As a public service, a hospital is consist of many facilities and infrastructures such as medical instruments and health workers. He-modialysis is one of hospital’s service for chronic disease. Evaluation in hemodialysis unit in Virgin de los Lirios Hospital showed that there was 16,7% death of hemodialysis patient on 2005-2008. In United States, hemodialysis patient’s death was 23% each year and it was the highest in worldwide. In 2011, Indonesia had 15.353 patients, and in 2012 the number were increase to 19.621 patients. Chronic kidney disease prevalence in Indonesia on 2012 according to National Hospital Data & Information Center, the number of chronic kidney disease’s client is about 50 persons every one million popula-tion. The purpose of this study was to analyze relation between service quality (reliability, responsiveness, assurance, attention, tangibles) with satisfaction level of Jamkesmas patient in hemodialysis installation. This study was analytical study with cross sectional method. Sample in this study were 31 Jamkesmas hemodialysis patient as respondent. Fisher Exact test result shows that there is significant relation between health service quality in reliability category with Jamkesmas patient satisfaction level (p=0,04) and there is significant relation between health service quality in respon-siveness category with Jamkesmas patient satisfactionn level (p=0,001).Keywords: service quality, patient satisfaction, Jamkesmas, hemodialysis

Abstract

Obesity is one of the taxing healthy problems, therefore prevention and treatment become priority in health field. Thetreatment intervention is referred to weight decreasing. The most nutrient problem for adult above 18 years old is overweightand obese. Obesity prevalency is dominated by woman as big as 26,9%. At Wawonasa Public Healthy Centre study2013, showed that 41,6% respondents are included in obese nutrient status.The research aims to analyze the weight decreasingeffort for productive women in Wawonasa, Singkil Manado, Public Health Centre. This research uses QualitativeMethod and it is hold in Wawonasa Singkil Manado Public Health Centre on November 2013 up to January 2014. The informantaking uses Purposive Sampling and it is obtained 10 informans who give a deep interview. The data analysis usescontent analysis and triangulation technique (source and method) to make analysis be valid. The productive women inWawonasa Singkil Manado public healthy Centre realize the effect of obesity and do some efforts of weight decreation bydoing exercise or sport, decreasing of food portion and its frequency, consuming diet product, fasting and smoking. However,in doing the efforts, there are some barriers faced, such as: wrong diet program, unable to hold food appetite andthere is no support from husband.Keywords: Obesity, Productive Women, Effort of Weight Decreation

Abstract

The Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is an acute infection that attacks one or more parts of the nose (upper line respiratory)to the alveoli (bottom line respiratory). This often occurs in infants, primarily when there are a malnutrition andless clean environmental conditions. The purpose of this study was to describe the behaviour of people in rural communities.This study used descriptive study design. This research was conducted in the Purworejo Village, Modayag Sub-District, East Bolaang Mongondow District of the North Sulawesi Province. Total population is 820 patriarchs, and thenumbers of samples are 89 respondents. The samples were selected by using the simple random sampling method. Poolingof data was used by questionnaires. The result of this study showed that of the 89 respondents, 56.8% respondentshad a good knowledge, while 43.2% had poor knowledge, 87.1% had a good attitude, on the other hand, 12.9% respondentshad poor attitude, and 88% had good practice related to the ARI, while 12% had a poor practice. It can be concludedthat the knowledge, attitude and practice related to the ARI in the Purworejo Village of Modayag District, East BolaangMongondow are good.Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Practice, and Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI).

Abstract

The coronary heart disease is a disease with the highest death rate yearly in accordance with other diseases in the world.Habitual eating is influenced by cultural factor, tradition, religion and belief. The habitual eating also play a role in theoccurrence process of coronary heart disease. This research was purposed to know the description of the eating habit andits relation with the coronary heart disease risk food of the Minahasa ethnic at North Tomohon Subdistrict Kakaskasen 1Village. The design of research was descriptive study by using survey methods. A hundred and nine were the numbers ofthe patriarchs (KK – Kepala Keluarga) who settled in in Lingkungan 8 of Kakaskasen Village of Tomohon Utara Subdistrict,and the samples were 52 KK. Data was collected using Food Frequency Questionnare (FFQ). The study found 5 Minahasaethnic food which often consumed, namely: Sayur Kangkung Tumis (86,6%), Babi Kecap (65,4%), Sate Babi(65,4%), Brenebon Babi (57,6%), Sup/Kuah Asam Babi (53,8%) and the 5 other types which rare consumed were IkanMas Woku Blanga (100%), Ikan Mas Goreng (100%), Ikan Mas Bakar Rica (100%), RW/Anjing (96,1%), Paniki/Kelelawar(90,4%). No history of the coronary heart disease was obtained on all respondents. On the other hand, this study revealed the history of the coronary heart disease in the family (5,8%), history of hypertension (42,3%), diabetes mellitus (11,5%), dyslipidemia (7,3%), stroke and hyperuricemia (1,9%).Keywords: Habitual Eating, Coronary Heart Disease.

Abstract

Obesity is an overweight condition caused by the accumulation of fat, in both men and women, which has to be more than20-25% of their bodyweight. According to a national baseline health research (Riset Kesehatan Dasar [Riskesdas]) in2007, prevalent rate on the population above age of 15 has reached 10,3% (males 13,9%, females 23,8%). The purpose ofthis research is to analyze the efforts to decrease body weight in the female students of the Medical Faculty of Sam RatulangiUniversity Manado. The qualitative method was used in this research and this was held at Medical Faculty of SamRatulangi University Manado on November 2013 to January 2014. The informants were chosen by using purposive samplingmethod and it had been decided that 10 informants would be interviewed. The collected data would be analyzedthen validated using triangulation sources and method. The female medical school students of Sam Ratulangi UniversityManado in year 2010 realized the risk of obesity and took precautions to decrease their weight by done physical training,consumed lower calorie foods, and held their hunger. There were some obstacles, such as lack of time to do physical activities,laziness and wrong diet program.Keywords: Obesity, College Student, effort to decrease body weight

Abstract

Abstract:  Quality of life is an individual the opportunity to be able to live comfortably, maintain a healthy physiological state that is consistent with a healthy psychological and social balance in everyday life. The existence of physical health problems, mental and social quality of life will decrease the value. Malocclusion as one of the oral health problems can affect the aesthetics thus causing a lack of confidence and lack of satisfaction with facial appearance and may interfere with social life. These conditions can decrease the quality of life of patients.  This study is a descriptive study with a student population of SMA VI Manado malocclusion. Sample size of 50 samples and from using purposive sampling method. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Scores of research re- sults at 107,21 , indicating that the quality of life of adolescents entering high school N 6 Manado high category. Adanya gangguan kesehatan secara fisik, mental maupun sosial akan menurunkan nilai kualitas hidup. Maloklusi sebagai salah satu permasalahan kesehatan gigi dan mulut dapat berpengaruh pada estetika sehingga menyebabkan kurangnya kepercayaan diri serta kurangnya kepuasan terhadap penampilan wajah dan dapat menganggu kehidupan sosial.  Kondisi ini dapat berdampak pada menurunnya kualitas hidup penderita.   Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif  dengan populasi siswa SMA Negeri VI Manado yang mengalami maloklusi. Besar sampel sebanyak 50 sampel dan  pengambilannya menggunakan  metode purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa kuesioner. Skor hasil  penelitian sebesar 107,21, menunjukkan bahwa kualitas hidup remaja SMA N 6 Manado masuk kategori  tinggi.Kata Kunci: Kualitas Hidup, Maloklusi, Remaja

Abstract

Deciduous teeth as the permanent teeth have several functions, among others, as a means of mastication, speech synthesizers,aesthetic. In addition, primary teeth have a special function that is not owned by the permanent teeth. Deciduoustooth can serve as a guide for future permanent teeth to erupt into place so as to maintain the growth of the arch. Loss ofprimary teeth is a normal or physiological processes, but can also be caused by disease and trauma. Caries is a diseasethat most contribute to the deciduous tooth. The research was conducted on the students of Madrasah Darul IbtidayahIstiqamah Bailang students with a background of lower economic level. This study is a descriptive cross sectional method.This study population is all students aged 5-13 years with a total of 90 students. Sampling using total sampling methodthe number of samples that met the inclusion criteria as much as 64 samples. Research instrument used in the examinationform and interview. The results showed that many types of deciduous teeth suffered the loss of two deciduous molarsof the lower jaw (43%); loss of primary teeth is most prevalent at the time before the age of eruption of permanentteeth replacement (90%) for the upper jaw and (66%) for the lower jaw; region of the lower jaw the most (77.4%) whoexperienced a loss of primary teeth; and caries is a cause of loss of primary teeth the most common (86.6%) for the upperjaw and (91.2%) for the lower jaw.Keywords: Loss of primary teeth, Madrasah Students, Age eruption of the permanent teeth.Keywords: Loss of primary teeth, Madrasah Students, Age eruption of the permanent teeth
