Abstract

Obesity is one of the taxing healthy problems, therefore prevention and treatment become priority in health field. Thetreatment intervention is referred to weight decreasing. The most nutrient problem for adult above 18 years old is overweightand obese. Obesity prevalency is dominated by woman as big as 26,9%. At Wawonasa Public Healthy Centre study2013, showed that 41,6% respondents are included in obese nutrient status.The research aims to analyze the weight decreasingeffort for productive women in Wawonasa, Singkil Manado, Public Health Centre. This research uses QualitativeMethod and it is hold in Wawonasa Singkil Manado Public Health Centre on November 2013 up to January 2014. The informantaking uses Purposive Sampling and it is obtained 10 informans who give a deep interview. The data analysis usescontent analysis and triangulation technique (source and method) to make analysis be valid. The productive women inWawonasa Singkil Manado public healthy Centre realize the effect of obesity and do some efforts of weight decreation bydoing exercise or sport, decreasing of food portion and its frequency, consuming diet product, fasting and smoking. However,in doing the efforts, there are some barriers faced, such as: wrong diet program, unable to hold food appetite andthere is no support from husband.Keywords: Obesity, Productive Women, Effort of Weight Decreation

Abstract

Obesity is an overweight condition caused by the accumulation of fat, in both men and women, which has to be more than20-25% of their bodyweight. According to a national baseline health research (Riset Kesehatan Dasar [Riskesdas]) in2007, prevalent rate on the population above age of 15 has reached 10,3% (males 13,9%, females 23,8%). The purpose ofthis research is to analyze the efforts to decrease body weight in the female students of the Medical Faculty of Sam RatulangiUniversity Manado. The qualitative method was used in this research and this was held at Medical Faculty of SamRatulangi University Manado on November 2013 to January 2014. The informants were chosen by using purposive samplingmethod and it had been decided that 10 informants would be interviewed. The collected data would be analyzedthen validated using triangulation sources and method. The female medical school students of Sam Ratulangi UniversityManado in year 2010 realized the risk of obesity and took precautions to decrease their weight by done physical training,consumed lower calorie foods, and held their hunger. There were some obstacles, such as lack of time to do physical activities,laziness and wrong diet program.Keywords: Obesity, College Student, effort to decrease body weight

Abstract

Diarrhea is the main reason of malnutrition, and furthemore inhibits infant growth. Malnutrition causes antibody declining on infant. In many cases, non-lactose formula and low lactose formula could accelerate diarrhea recovery, beside soy based formula and hydrolized protein. The objetives of this research were to compare the increasing weight then to determine and compare nutritional status on child by Z-score index based on age (Weight/Age) between non lactose formula group and low lactose formula group on diarrhea child at the age of 6-24 months. This research was using Quasi Eksperiment method, Pre and prost-test Control group desing.The results showed that after received non lactose formula, the average of patient weight became 9.30 ± 2.0 kg. While in control group, the average of patient weight was 7.60 ± 0.99 kg after treatment. The number of malnutrition patient on treatment group were 7 persons from 15 persons became no malnutrition patient, and on control group were 3 persons from 15 persons became 2 patients. It can be concluded that the increasing of child weight and nutritional status on non lactose formula group was better compared to low lactose formula group. Based on the results on the results of this research it can be recommended that diarrhrea child should be given non lactose formula beside breastmilk.

Abstract

Abstract: Cardiovascular disease, especially coronary heart disease (CHD), is the leading cause of death annually. Low HDL and high LDL levels are related to the increased risk of CHD. Polyphenol such as anthocyanin in black rice could reduce the cardiovascular risks due to its antioxidant that has anti-platelet and anti-inflammatory activities. This study was aimed to determine the changes in LDL and HDL levels in rabbits fed with black rice extract (Oryza sativa L.). This was a true experimental study with a pretest posttest control group design. Samples were male New Zealand White rabbits, weighing 0.8-2.5 kg divided into four groups. Group A was fed with standard diet; group B was fed with high-fat diet; group C was fed with high-fat diet and black rice extract; and group D was fed with high-fat diet and atorvastatin. Data were presented descriptively. The results showed that the mean LDL level of group C increased by 6.5 mg/dl but one sample showed a decrease of 2 mg/dl. The mean level of HDL of group C decreased 0.50 mg/dl. This reduction was not as many as the other groups but one sample showed an increase of 5 mg/dl. Conclusion: Not all rabbits fed with black rice extract showed decreased LDL level and increased HDL level.Keywords: LDL, HDL, black rice extract Abstrak: Penyakit kardiovaskuler terutama penyakit jantung koroner (PJK) merupakan penyebab kematian tertinggi pertahunnya. Kadar HDL rendah serta kadar LDL tinggi berkaitan dengan meningkatnya risiko PJK. Polifenol seperti antosianin yang terdapat dalam beras hitam dapat menurunkan risiko penyakit kardiovaskular karena antioksidannya dengan aktivitas anti-platelet dan anti-inflamasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan kadar LDL dan HDL pada kelinci yang diberi ekstrak beras hitam (Oryza sativa L.). Jenis penelitian ialah true experimental dengan desain pre test post test control grup. Sampel ialah kelinci New Zealand White jantan, berat badan 0,8- 2,5 kg. Kelompok A diberi pakan standar; kelompok B diberi diet tinggi lemak; kelompok C diberi diet tinggi lemak dan ekstrak beras hitam; dan kelompok D diberi diet tinggi lemak dan atorvastatin. Data disajikan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan pada kelompok C, rerata kadar LDL meningkat 6,5 mg/dl tetapi satu sampel mengalami penurunan sebesar 2 mg/dl. Rerata kadar HDL pada kelompok C menurun 0,50 mg/dl; penurunan ini tidak sebesar pada kelompok lainnya tetapi satu sampel mengalami peningkatan sebesar 5 mg/dl. Simpulan: Kelinci yang diberi ekstrak beras hitam tidak semua mengalami penurunan kadar LDL dan peningkatan kadar HDL. Kata kunci: LDL, HDL, Ekstrak beras hitam

Abstract

Abstract: Nutritional adequacy or sufficiency of energy in infants is still a public health problem, especially in developing countries and poor countries. As a developing country, Indonesia still has macronutrient deficiencies such as stunting, wasting, and underweight. Maternal level of knowledge about nutrition influences the attitude and behavior in chosing the appropriate and qualified food. This study was aimed to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and the adequacy of energy intake of toddlers at Mopusi village. This was a correlation study with a cross sectional design. Respondents of this study were mothers who had toddlers aged 1-3 years and lived at Mopusi vollage in September 2014 - December 2014. Data were analyzed by using SPSS. The results showed that there were 90 mothers as respondents. Based on maternal knowledge about nutrition, there were 41 respondents (45.6%) with poor knowledge. Based on adequate intake of energy toddlers, there were 75 toddlers (83%) with less energy intake. The relationship between maternal knowledge about nutrition and the adequacy of energy intake among toddlers showed the correlation coefficient r = 0.06 and p = 0.97. Conclusion: There was no significant correlation between maternal knowledge about nutrition and the adequacy of energy intake among toddlers at Mopusi village. Keywords: mother’s knowledge about nutritions, energy intake, toddlers Abstrak: Kecukupan gizi atau kecukupan energi pada balita masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat terutama dinegara-negara berkembang dan negara miskin. Sebagai negara berkembang, Indonesia mempunyai masalah defisiensi makronutrien antara lain stunting, wasting dan underweight. Tingkat pengetahuan gizi seseorang ibu berpengaruh terhadap sikap dan perilaku dalam pemilihan makanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu dengan kecukupan asupan energi batita di Desa Mopusi Kecamatan Lolayan Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Induk. Jenis penelitian ialah korelasi dengan desain potong lintang. Responden penelitian ialah ibu yang memiliki batita usia 1-3 tahun dan berdomisili di Desa Mopusi pada bulan September 2014 – Desember 2014. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan sebanyak 41 responden (45,6%) berpengetahuan gizi kurang. Mengenai kecukupan asupan energi dari 90 sampel penelitian terdapat 75 batita (83%) dengan asupan energi kurang. Hubungan pengetahuan gizi ibu dengan kecukupan asupan energi batita mendapatkan koefisien korelasi r= 0,06 dan p= 0,97. Simpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan bermakna antara pengetahuan gizi ibu dengan kecukupan asupan energi batita di Desa Mopusi.Kata kunci: pengetahuan gizi ibu, asupan energi, batita.

Abstract

Abstract: Nowadays, incident of obesity also can be found in poverty population with low educational level. This condition affect on the rising consumption of high-fat food and energy-dense sugar in this population. The purpose of this research is to know the correlation of macro nutrients intake and obesity at the women of childbearing age as Jamkesmas member in Wawonasa, Singkil, Manado. This research is using cross–sectional design and has taking sample in Wawonasa clinic, Singkil, Manado for a month, that is from November till December 2012. Sampling method is purposive sampling with 77 subject who had been measured for body height and body weight and also had been interviewed using recall method 24th hours to take the data for macro nutrients intake those are carbohydrate, protein, and fat that had been consumed one day before. The data from the research was being analyzed with chi–square analysis test with α = 0,05. The result of analysis show there is no relation of carbohydrate intake and obesity (p=0,980), no  relation of protein intake and obesity (p=0,602), and there is no-significant relation of fat intake and obesity (p=0,265). The conclusion from this research is no relation of macro nutrients intake  and obesity at women of childbearing age as Jamkesmas member in Wawonasa clinic, Singkil, Manado. Keyword: jamkesmas, macro nutrient, obesity, women of childbearing age.   Abstrak: Tingkat kejadian obesitas yang tinggi juga terjadi pada kelompok populasi yang miskin dan berpendidikan rendah,, serta pada kelompok wanita dewasa. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh meningkatnya konsumsi makanan tinggi lemak dan gula yang padat energi pada kelompok populasi ini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara asupan zat gizi makro dengan obesitas pada Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) peserta Jamkesmas di puskesmas Wawonasa, Singkil, Manado. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional dan dilaksanakan di puskesmas Wawonasa,Singkil, Manado pada bulan November–Desember  2012. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh 77 subjek penelitian yang diukur tinggi badan dan berat badannya serta dilakukan pendataan dengan metode recall 24 jam untuk mengetahui asupan zat gizi makro yaitu karbohidrat, protein dan lemak yang dikonsumsi subjek penelitian selama 1 hari sebelum penelitian. Data ini kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji analisis chi-square dengan nilai α = 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara asupan karbohidrat dengan obesitas (p = 0,980), antara asupan protein dengan obesitas (p = 0,602), dan antara asupan zat lemak dengan obesitas (p = 0,265). Berdasarkan hasil analisis maka disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara asupan zat gizi makro dengan obesitas pada WUS peserta Jamkesmas di puskesmas Wawonasa, Singkil, Manado. Abstract

Abstract: Rice is the main type of food that is very essential to the people of Asia, especially in Indonesia. Color pigments, which are located on the outer layer of black rice paddy, have been reported to contain a mixture of anthocyanin compounds. Anthocyanin compounds act as antioxidants and free radical catchers, which serve to prevent some degenerative diseases. Black rice contains a nutritional value that is superior to other types of rice. It includes high content of protein, vitamins and minerals although there are distinct varieties depending on the location of production. This research has intended to determine the description of the activity and stability of the antioxidant from black rice extract (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars in Enrekang, South Sulawesi at 100 degrees Celsius heating with the periods of 0, 10, 20 and 30 minutes, and the antioxidant activity has been tested using DPPH and FRAP methods. Based on the results of the research using DPPH method, it was discovered that the activity of radical scavengers increased by the effect of the temperature from extracts of the black rice cultivar in Enrekang heated for 0, 10, 20, and 30 minutes at a temperature of 100 ° C and the antioxidant activity of the extracts of the black rice was relatively stable against heating that was tested using FRAP.Keywords: black rice, antioxidants, DPPH, FRAPAbstrak: Beras merupakan jenis pangan utama yang penting bagi masyarakat di Asia, terutama di Indonesia. Pigmen warna yang terletak pada lapisan luar padi dari beras hitam telah dilaporkan mengandung campuran senyawa antosianin, senyawa antosianin berfungsi sebagai antioksidan dan penangkap radikal bebas, sehingga berperan untuk mencegah terjadinya beberapa penyakit degeneratif. Beras hitam memiliki kandungan nilai gizi yang lebih unggul dari beras jenis lainya. Seperti kandungan protein yang tinggi, vitamin dan mineral. Meskipun terdapat perbedaan varietas tergantung pada lokasi produksinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran aktivitas dan stabilitas antioksidan dari ekstrak beras hitam (Oryza sativa L.) kultivar Enrekang, Sulawesi Selatan pada pemanasan 100oc dengan lama pemanasan 0, 10, 20, dan 30 menit dan diuji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode DPPH dan FRAP. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menggunakan metode DPPH, didapatkan bahwa aktivitas penangkal radikal bebas meningkat dengan efek pemanasan pada ekstrak beras hitam (Oryza sativa L.) kultivar Enrekang Sulawesi Selatan dengan pemanasan 0, 10, 20, dan 30 menit pada suhu 100oC. Dan aktivitas antioksidan pada ekstrak beras hitam relative stabil terhadap pemanasan yang diuji menggunakan metode FRAP.Kata kunci: beras hitam, antioksidan, DPPH, FRAP

Abstract

Abstract: Rice is one of the main cereals in the worldwide economic commodity. For better public health is the most important priority to food and nutrition. Consumption of plant foods, including fruits, vegetables, grains, cereals and seafood a key role in disease prevention and health increased. Rice (Oryza sativa L.) a cereal crop is the major staple food sources for half of the world population. With an average annual population growth rate of ~1.5% and estimated per capita consumption of about 250 grams of rice per day, the demand for rice is expected to increase to 40% by 2025. This study aims to determine the content of nutrients in the Black Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Enrekang, macro nutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats), micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), and fiber nutrients, water, and ash. This research uses descriptive. Held on November 4th until December 1st, 2015 at the Laboratory of the University of Sam Ratulangi, and Balai Teknik Kesehatan Lingkungan Manado. This research was conducted in laboratory sampel Black Rice (Oryza sativa L) Enrekang. With Gunning and data processing method to calculated the formula. The results of macro-nutrients Carbohydrate content of 83.8%, 8.2% protein, 2.2% fat. The content of micronutrients Vitamin C 0.9 mg, 25.7 mg Vitamin E, the mineral content are Magnesium (Mg) 3.11 mg, Calcium (Ca) 0.257 mg, Iron (Fe) 0.335 mg, Potassium (K) 0.821 mg , Zinc (Zn) 0.042 mg.Keywords: Black Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Enrekang, macro and micro nutrientsAbstrak: Padi merupakan salah satu sereal utama dalam komoditas ekonomi di seluruh dunia. Untuk kesehatan masyarakat yang lebih baik yang terpenting adalah mengutamakan bahan pangan dan gizi. Mengkonsumsi makanan nabati, termasuk buah-buahan, sayuran, biji-bijian, sereal dan kacang-kacangan serta makanan laut memainkan peran kunci dalam pencegahan penyakit dan peningkatan kesehatan. Beras Hitam (Oryza sativa L.) adalah tanaman yang menjadi sumber makanan pokok utama untuk setengah dari populasi dunia. Dengan tingkat tahunan rata-rata pertumbuhan penduduk dari ~ 1,5% dan diperkirakan konsumsi per kapita dari sekitar 250 gram beras per hari, permintaan beras diperkirakan akan meningkat menjadi 40% pada tahun 2025. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan zat gizi pada Beras Hitam (Oryza Sativa L.) Enrekang, zat gizi makro (Karbohidrat, Protein, Lemak), zat gizi mikro (Vitamin dan Mineral), serta zat gizi Serat, Air, dan Abu. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Yan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 4 November sampai dengan 1 Desember 2015 di Laboratorium Universitas Sam Ratulangi Manado, dan Balai Teknik Kesehatan Lingkungan Manado. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara laboratorium dengan sampel Beras Hitam (Oryza Sativa L) Enrekang. Dengan metode Gunning dan pengolahan data yang dihitung dengan rumus. Hasil kandungan zat gizi makro Karbohidrat 83,8%, Protein 8,2%, Lemak 2,2%. Kandungan zat gizi mikro Vitamin C 0,9 mg, Vitamin E 25,7 mg, kandungan mineral yaitu Magnesium (Mg) 3,11 mg, Kalsium (Ca) 0,257 mg, Besi (Fe) 0,335 mg, Kalium (K) 0,821 mg, Zink (Zn) 0,042 mg.Kata kunci: Beras Hitam (Oryza Sativa L.) Abstract

Abstract: The first 1000 days of early life nutrition is the golden period of growth and development that does not occur in other age groups. During pregnancy, energy needs and nutrient intake have to be improved. Inadequate nutrition and some factors that influence hemoglobin level in this period may increase the risk for both mother and fetus. This study was aimed to determine the factors associated with hemoglobin levels among pregnant women at Lolak Primary Health Center. This was an analytical study with a cross-sectional design. Samples were obtained by using total sampling method and the target population was pregnant women in the area of Lolak Primary Health Center. The results showed that each variable had no significant relationship with hemoglobin level of pregnant women (P >0.05). Conclusion: There was no statistically significant relationship between hemoglobin level and the age of pregnant women, gestational age, inter-pregnancy interval, mid upper arm circumference (MUAC), occupational status, educational level, family income as well as consumption pattern.Keywords: pregnant women, hemoglobin level, consumption pattern Abstrak: Periode 1000 hari pertama nutrisi awal kehidupan merupakan periode emas terjadinya proses tumbuh kembang yang sangat cepat yang tidak terjadi pada kelompok usia lain. Pada masa kehamilan, kebutuhan energi dan asupan gizi pada diet perlu ditingkatkan. Tidak adekuatnya nutrisi serta beberapa faktor yang memengaruhi kadar hemoglobin pada periode ini dapat meningkatkan resiko terjadinya gangguan pada ibu hamil maupun janin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kadar hemoglobin ibu hamil di Puskesmas Lolak. Jenis penelitian ialah analitik dengan desain potong lintang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode total sampling dengan populasi target ibu hamil di wilayah Puskesmas Lolak. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai P >0,05 untuk masing-masing variabel. Simpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan bermakna antara kadar hemoglobin dengan usia ibu, usia kehamilan, jarak kehamilan, ukuran LILA, status pekerjaan, tingkat pendidikan, pendapatan keluarga, dan pola konsumsi.Kata kunci: ibu hamil, kadar hemoglobin, pola konsumsi

Abstract

Abstract: Random blood sugar levels (GDS) on pregnant women is the result of blood tests of pregnant women in circumstances immediately taken from the blood capillaries and measured with a digital measuring tools. GDS category based on consensus of Perkeni 2011: not DM: (<90 mg / dL); Not Sure DM: (90-199 mg / dL); DM: (≥200 mg / dL). GDS levels are influenced by several factors which is a history of diabetes in the family. Family history of diabetes may come from parents or grandparents. This research is an analytic cross sectional (cross-sectional). Which is implemented in September to November 2016 in Bahu, Paniki bawah, Ranotana- Weru, Kombos and Tuminting Public Health Centre. The Data were collected through questionnaires and examinations for GDS levels, then the data is processed with SPSS applications. Respondents who had a history of diabetes in the family at 13.5% and who had no history of diabetes in the family is 86.5%. Respondents were not DM is 51.9%, which is uncertain DM is 48.0% and there were no DM. Conclusion: The results of this study concluded that there was significant relationship between family history of diabetes with DM status on pregnant women in Manado with p = 0.046 (p <α = 0.05).Keywords: random blood sugar levels, history of diabetes, pregnant women. Abstrak: Kadar gula darah sewaktu (GDS) ibu hamil adalah hasil pemeriksaan darah ibu hamil dalam keadaan sesaat yang diambil dari darah kapiler dan diukur dengan alat ukur digital. Kategori GDS berdasarkan Konsensus Perkeni 2011 adalah: bukan DM : (<90 mg/dL); Belum pasti DM : (90-199 mg/dL); DM : ( . Kadar GDS dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya adalah riwayat DM dalam keluarga. Riwayat DM keluarga ini dapat berasal dari orang tua maupun kakek atau nenek. Penelitian ini bersifat analitik dengan pendekatan potong lintang (cross sectional). Yang dilaksanakan pada periode September sampai November 2016 di Puskesmas Bahu, Paniki bawah, Ranotana- Weru, Kombos dan Tuminting. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui kuisioner dan pemeriksaan kadar GDS, kemudian data diolah dengan aplikasi SPSS. Responden yang memiliki riwayat DM dalam keluarga 13,5% dan yang tidak memiliki riwayat DM dalam keluarga 86,5%. Responden yang bukan DM 51,9%, yang belum pasti DM 48,0% dan tidak terdapat yang DM. Simpulan: Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara riwayat DM keluarga dengan status DM pada ibu hamil di Kota Manado dengan p=0,046(p<α=0,05).
