Abstract

This  research aims to investigate how foreign ownership influence on firm value of 2004-2008 at firm manufacturing sectors of the Indonesian stock exchange based on firms with 1% to less than 20% foreign ownership, 20% to less than 50% foreign ownership and up to 50% foreign ownership. Purposive sampling has been carried out in this research. Of 173, only 54 firms can be taken out. From 54 sample firms, 20 firms were taken as firms with 1% to less than 20% foreign ownernership, 17 firms with 20% to less than 50% foreign ownership and 17 firms up to 50% foreign ownership. Linier regression was implemented in this research to see the influence of foreign ownership to firm value. This research also includes firm size and firm growth as control variables. I was found that firm size, firm growth and foreign ownership were a positive and significant influence on firm value with 1% to less than 20% of foregn ownership. As the level of foreign ownership increased 20% to less than 50%, only firm size and firm growth were a positive and significant influence on firm value while foregn ownership was a negative influence. When the level of foreign ownership was up to 50%, firm size, firm growth and foreign ownership were a positive and significant influence on firm value. Since there is limitation on this research, further research is recommended to include other variables influencing firm value.Keywords: Foreign ownership, Firm Value, Firm Size, firm growth

Abstract

Penelitian ini mencoba untuk meneliti bagaimana hubungan antara factor penduduk setempat dengan kecenderungan preferensinya di kota Palembang. Dalam melakukan penelitian, peneliti menggunakan riset konklusif deskriptif dalam bentuk single cross sectional. Riset konklusif digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis spesifik dan menguji hubungannya. Sampel yang digunakan adalah masyarakat umum yang kebetulan berada dikota Palembang sebanyak 176 orang responden dengan menggunakan metode convenience sampling.Pada penelitian ini akan dilihat apakah ada hubungan antara faktor penduduk setempat dengan preferensi individu. Preferensi yang dimaksud disini adalah kecenderungan individu untuk menyukai sesuatu hal, misalnya rasa makanan.Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis crosstabulation (tabulasi silang). Dalam analisis tabulasi silang akan ditabulasi antara faktor penduduk setempat (atau tingkat keterkaitan sebagai penduduk asli Palembang) dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang berhubungan dengan preferensi individu. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa item pertanyaan yang memiliki hubungan secara signifikan (artinya ada perbedaan nyata antara baris dengan kolom) dengan tingkat keterkaitan sebagai penduduk kota Palembang, yaitu pertanyaan tempat belanja favorit, tempat makan favorit, dan kegiatan favorit diwaktu santai.Kata kunci : faktor penduduk setempat, preferensi individu

Abstract

This research aims to analyze direct and indirect effect about liquidity, financial leverage and activities on stock return and with the mediation of ROA as a proxy of profitability ratio. The population were all company in Sub Sector of Automotive and Components are 12 companies. Purposive sampling used as the sampling technique and acquired 11 firms. The period in 2000-2013, unit of analysis is panel data with 154 observations.  The data analysis method used is Path Analysis. The result shows that direct effect Current Ratio (CR) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) not have signed on Stock Return, while Total Asset Turnover (TAT) has a significant effect on Stock Return. The indirect effect the rule of ROA as full mediation in CR to stock return and as partial mediation in TAT to stock return. But not found the rule of ROA as mediation effect DER to stock return.

Abstract

There has been considerable concern about how ongoing consolidation in financial systems around the world will affect competition. Indeed, much of the recent public debate seems to assume that perfect competition in banking is ideal. Such a thing will force each bank to understand how to make their customers satisfied. This research was aimed to examine how trust and confidence benefit on customer commitment affect the customer’s satisfaction. To understand this isntance, questionnaires were distributed to the target respondents. Samples were taken using convenience sampling. Total respondents of 100 were obtained. Using both descriptive and statistical analysis, results were obtained. Regression analysis was implemented. Based on partial analysis, results showed that trust and confidence benefit have significant influence to the customer commitment, while satisfaction do not provide  a significant influence to the customer commitment . Finally on the basis of the finding, recomendations that is to improve and to maintain  the performance of  independent variables (trust and confidence benefits) and especially on the confidence benefit variable  have been made. Keywords : Satisfaction, Trust, Confidence Benefit , Customer Commitment

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kondisi dari suatu perusahaan pada suatu masa laporan. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh dari likuiditas, solvabilitas, dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap tingkat pengungkapan sukarela pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di BEI.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel likuiditas dan solvabilitas tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat pengungkapan sukarela. Namun pada variabel ukuran perusahaan, memberikan pengaruh secara nyata terhadap tingkat pengungkapan sukarela.Kata kunci : Likuiditas, Solvabilitas, ukuran perusahaan, tingkat pengungkapan suakrela

Abstract

The unstable monetary situation as reflected in the interest rates and inflation resulting in chaos in the economy. This shows the close macroeconomics impact on stock price indices in the stock market. The purpose of this study is to assess and analyze the influence of the variables of macro-economic indicators of inflation and interest rates on stock price performance index over the period 2012 to 2014.Technique analysis in this study using multiple linear regression method using the independent variable inflation and interest rates on the Composite Index. Data obtained from the Monthly Statistic, Indonesia Stock Exchange, Economic Indicators of the Central Bureau of Statistic, Monthly Report of Bank Indonesia and the Indonesian Capital Market Directory. The result showed that the Composite Index in Indonesia Stock Exchange has a relationship but not too significant to inflationary and interest rate variables. While inflation and interest rates simultaneously affect the JCI. Simultaneously the macro variables affect inflation and interest rates of 88.4% against 11.6% JCI rest explained by other factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how the impact of exchange base money on money supply. The term of base money in this research is debt of monetary authority to citizen and financial institutional which influenced by net claims on government, net claims on private sector and net foreign assets. In this research, used data is secondary data which source from Bank Indonesia, Statistic Center Board, and others of journals and books. This research was done by using multi-regression linear method. The result showed that increased base money improved money supply significantly. The exchange of base money would influence positive effect on money supply.Keywords: Base money, money supply

Abstract

Designing the system of management performance evaluation is critical for organizations or enterprises to maximize organizational outcomes, and it can cause behavioral impact to the managers who are being evaluated. The conviction rate to the accounting information as performance evaluation criteria is called RAPM rate (reliance on accounting performance measure). On the certain conditions, using accounting information as performance evaluation criteria (high RAPM rate) could cause the rise of dysfunctional behavior on the managers who are being evaluated. The research aimed to know RAPM rate on the performance evaluation of the middle managers in PT. Bank “X”, and to know effect RAPM rate to behavior of middle managers evaluated. This research used survey method. Population being researched is middle managers in PT. Bank “X”. Data found by giving questionnaire to the respondent, interview, and some secondary data. The research result shows that; the system of management performance evaluation which is applied to evaluate the achievement of middle managers in PT. Bank “X” exploit accounting and non-accounting information as performance evaluation criteria.Key Words: Performance evaluation criteria, Dysfunctional behavior

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical evidence about the effect of market growth, market risk , earnings volatility, profitability, capital of the company and firm size of policy dividends and policy leverage, examines the relationship between dividend policy and the policy leverage of value firms and empirically test the effect of dividend policy and the policy leverage of the firm value.The population of research are companies included in the manufacturing sectors. Sampling method was done by purposive sampling technique based on certain criteria. Retrieved 10 issuers that were taken as samples. Observation  period  2006-2008. For the  purposes of analysis used panel data during the observation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and causality analysis of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) operated by the software AMOS 6.0. The findings of this study, first, variables influencing the dividend policy is the volatility, equity and size. While the variable growth, beta and ROA was not affected. Second, the growth variable and the beta has no effect on the policy leverage. While the volatility variable, ROA, equity and size have an influence on policy leverage. Third, dividend policy has a significant relationship to the value of the company while the policy leverage has no significant relationship. Fourth, there interpendensi between dividend policy and the policy leverage of the firm value.Key Words :   Dividend policy, Leverage and Value of the firm

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian– This research are to find out and to proof 1) The influence of Leadership, Organisation Culture & Competency simultaneously toward the employee performance of the ministry of agrarian affairs and spatial planning / BPN Land Agency Office Palembang. 2) The Influence of leadership toward the employee performance of the ministry of agrarian affairs and spatial planning / BPN Land Agency Office Palembang. 3) The influence of Organisation Culture toward the employee performance of the ministry of agrarian affairs and spatial planning / BPN Land Agency Office Palembang. 4) The influence of competency toward the employee performance of the ministry of agrarian affairs and spatial planning / BPN Land Agency Office Palembang.Desain/Metodologi/Pendekatan– To consider the total of the population is only 131 employees, the respondent took all the population but the head office and the researcher, therefore the writer used saturation sampling from 131 people in population, used as the instrument tester and used as a census to get the research data.Temuan– These three independent variables that are Leadership (X1), Organisation Culture (X2) and Competency (X3), partially has significant positive influence the employee performance of the ministry of agrarian affairs and spatial planning / BPN Land Agency Office Palembang (Y).Keterbatasan penelitian– The population of this research is the whole employee of the ministry of agrarian affairs and spatial planning /BPN Land Agency Office Palembang, 131 employee in total, consist of civilian state apparatus and non civilian state apparatus.Originality/value–Keywords: Leadership, Organisation Culture, Competency
