Abstract

PDAM Tirta Musi Palembang is one of firms own by local state entrusted to manage water supply in the surrounding area. This firm used work culture environment to do their activities, heightening their sense of productivity aligns with firm’s goal: to ensure society’s development regarding social aspect, economy, health, and civil service. This research is entitled to understand effects of those work culture environment with worker’s productivity in PDAM Tirta Musi Palembang Unit Rambutan. In this research, researcher used library research, questioner, and observation as instrument to collect data. After all those primary data collected, then researcher calculated data using Statistical program SPSS Version 16.0. Testing used in this research is data validation testing; reliability validation; and normality validation. This research yielding results that work culture environment have significant effect in worker’s productivity. On the other hand, productivity not only effected by work culture, but also by motivations; compensations; leadership; and other factors. In this opportunity, researcher would also suggest to firm and related to do further research to understand other factors that can also effect worker’s productivity.Keywords: Work Culture and Worker’s Productivity

Abstract

This research is aimed to determine the influence of shopping lifestyle, fashion involvement, pre-decision stage, and post-decision stage toward impulse buying simultantly or partially. The target population in this research is the customer of Butik 79 in Palembang Trade Center Mall Palembang. There are 100 respondents of the sample in this research. Sampling technique used was non probability sampling. The analysis technique for this research was multiple regression analysis. The result of the simultaneous analysis indicates that shopping lifestyle, fashion involvement, pre-decision stage, and post-decision stage variables have significant influence toward impulse buying. Partially, shopping lifestyle and fashion involvement have positive influence, but not too significant toward impulse buying, while pre-decision stage and post-decision stage have positive and significant effect toward impulse buying.Keywords : Shopping lifestyle, fashion involvement, pre-decision stage, post-decision stage, and impulse buying.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study about the effect of motivation on job satisfaction of outsourcing employee in Palembang Square. Motivation is proxied by physiological necessity, safety necessity, social necessity, admition necessity, and actualization necessity. Meanwhile, job satisfaction is proxied by mental challenging work, proper salary and wages, supporting work condition, supporting work partner, suitability of personality with the work. Research object is outsourcing employees in Palembang Square that is divided into six work unit which obtained 196 outsourcing employee as a sample. Method for collecting data used are questionnaire and interview. The collected data are tested by validity test, realibility test, normality test, partial test, simple regression analysis, and cross tabulation. This research results shows that motivation variable affected positively and significantly on job satisfaction of outsourcing employee in Palembang Square. According to analysis result, offered some suggestions such as Management of Palembang Square should give training and development effectively, give appreciation to employee who have good performance and maintain the existing work condition.Keywords : Motivation and Job Satisfaction

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of price, advertise, and personal selling of Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) BRI bank branch Lemabang on loan decision making of traditional market seller (a study case at Lemabang market, Palembang). The target population in this research is the traditional market seller at Lemabang market. Data collected from the questionnaires which distributed to 100 respondents. Sampling technique used was non probability sampling with accidental sampling method. The analysis technique used was multiple regression analyis. Based of reliability and validity testing, variable of advertise is not fulfill the requirement of reliability and validity, so this variable excluded to the next research. The result of this study indicates that price and personal selling have a positive influence and signficant on loan decision making.Keywords : Price, advertise, personal selling, KUR, loan decision making, seller.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how big the influence of Packaging (X1), Halal Label (X2), and Product Knowledge (X3) On The Purchasing Desicion (Y) and who is a variable that has a dominant influence on purchasing decisions between Packaging, Halal Label, And Product Knowledge (study at consumer of Wardah cosmetic in Palembang city). This research use primary data retreived directly from the respondent through the questionnaire. The number of samples as much as a hundred respondents, sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Analysis technique used in this research is multiple regression analysis, F test and t test. The result obtained show that the magnitude of the influence of variable Packaging (X1), Halal Label (X2), And Product Knowledge (X3) as simultan On The Purchasing Decision (Y) is 58,4 %. The variable that has a dominant influence of the Purchasing Decision is Product Knowledge variable with the value of coefficient of 0,781.Keywords : Packaging, Halal Label, Product Knowledge, Purchasing Decision.

Abstract

This study purposed to analyze the effect of earning management on return of share in go public manufacturing companies in Indonesian Stock Exchange with the research period from 2008 until 2012. Sample of this study were 40 manufacturing companies from 137 population that listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange. Data was collected by using purposive sampling method with specified criteria. The analysis uses descriptive statistic and hypothesis test uses linier regression and T test with 5% level significance, and also uses test of determination correlation coefficient (r2). Earning management was measured by discretionary accruals. The result shows that earnings management has F count 3.087 with significance 0,080, so it is more than 0.05. Furthermore, coefficient of determination (R2) is 0,015 or 1,5%. This research conclusion is there is no significant influence between earning management on return of shares in the manufacturing companies. This indicates that the size of the earnings management conducted by the company's management does not have a significant effect to rising company return of share manufacturing companies in Indonesian Stock Exchange.Keyword : Earning Management, Return of Share, Indonesia Stock Exchange

Abstract

This research is to recognize the accuracy of CAPM models in predicting the stock return of rural stocks and conventional stock at Jakarta Islamic Index and Indonesian Stock Exchange. Variable of this research are JII and LQ45 stock return, Beta, Risk free, and Market return. The accuracy of CAPM models is measured by standart deviation and t test. The population of this research is all monthly stock return JII and LQ45 already go public at Indonesian Stock Exchange. Whereas the sample used is the monthly stock return of 11 JII companies and 13 LQ45 companies during 2007 – 2012. Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis kinerja keuangan dengan menggunakan rasio likuiditas, rasio solvabilitas, rasio aktifitas dan rasio profitabilitas pada PT. Holcim Indonesia, Tbk dan PT. Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa, Tbk pada PT. Holcim Indonesia, Tbk dan PT. Indocement Tunggal Prakasa,Tbk periode 2008-2012. Menurut Ross Stephen,(2000), kinerja keuangan suatu perusahaan dapat dinilai dengan menggunakan beberapa teknik analisis keuangan, diantaranya: analisis rasio keuangan, analisis common size, analisis horizontal/trend, analisis sumber dan penggunaan kas, dan analisis diskriminan/Z-Score. Teknik yang digunakan dalam menganalisis adalah teknik analisis rasio keuangan. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara keseluruhan rasio Likuiditas , Rasio Solvabilitas dan rasio Profitabilitas PT. Indocement Tbk lebih baik dari PT. Holcim Tbk. Pada rasio Aktivitas PT. Abstract

This research is conducted to analyze the influence of tree cash flows, investment opportunity sets, growth, and firm sizes on the cash dividends of the companies registered in Indonesia in the period of 2007-2010. The population of this research is 443 companies registered in Indonesia in the period of 2007-2010. The sample consistes of 37 companies and is selected using a purposive smpling technique with these two criteria: (1) the companies regulary paid dividends within the period of 2007-2010, and (2) the companies issued financial statement reports within the period. The data were analyzed by multiple linear regression computations, F testing, and t testing under the reliability coefficient of 5 %. The research results show that free cash flows, investment opportunity sets, growth, and firm sizes simultaneously influence the cash dividends given by of the companies. The investment opportunity sets and firm sizes show a positive and significant influence on the cash dividends while the free cash flows and growth do not.Keyword : Free Cash Flow, Investment Opportunity Set, Growth, Firm Size and cash Dividend.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to find out the influence of service quality which is consisting of proof dimension in physique, reability, responsiveness, guarantee, and empathy to consumer satisfaction in using Garuda Indonesia service flight in City of Palembang either partially or simultaneously. The amount of samples in this research are 105 Garuda Indonesia passangers flight from Palembang-Jakarta or vice-versa. The population in this research are society domicile in Palembang City. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the influence of service quality seen from tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and emptahy to the the Satisfaction of Consumers of Flight PT. Garuda Indonesia Airlines in Palembang city. The hypothes is of this research is service quality has significant influence to the satisfactionof airlines service consumers PT. Garuda Indonesia Airlines. The theory used in this research is Marketing Management Theory related to the service quality. It uses descriptive quantitative and case study using survey. This is also explanatory. Utilized Sampling Technique are non probability sampling. Utilized technique analysis are multiple regression analysis. The research result indicate that percentage of the reliability, responsiveness and guarantee dimension has positive and significant influence to consumer satisfaction are 44,4%.Key word: Tangibles, Reliability, responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy and Satisfaction of consumer
