Jurnal Siasat Bisnis (JSB) is a peer review journal published twice a year (January and July) by Management Development Centre (MDC)-Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Islam Indonesia. JSB) addresses the broad area of management science and its applications in industry and business. It is particularly receptive to research relevant to the practice of management within the emerging regions and its effects beyond. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh internasionalisasi, jumlah afiliasi bisnis, keberadaan afiliasi bisnis di luar negeri, dan intensitas riset dan pengembangan terhadap kinerja perusahaan-perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada periode 2011-2015. Penelitian ini mengukur internasionalitas perusahaan dengan menggunakan rasio penjualan perusahaan di luar negeri terhadap total penjualan perusahaan. Jumlah afiliasi bisnis yang dimiliki perusahaan dihitung berdasarkan data yang terdapat pada laporan keuangan perusahaan. Keberadaan afiliasi bisnis perusahaan di luar negeri digambarkan dengan variabel dummy. Intensitas riset dan pengembangan perusahaan diukur menggunakan rasio biaya riset dan pengembangan terhadap total penjualan perusahaan. Sementara, kinerja perusahaan diukur dengan menggunakan dua proksi, yaitu Return on Assets (ROA) dan Tobin’s Q. Dengan menggunakan analisis data panel, hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa internasionalisasi berpengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja perusahaan, jumlah afiliasi bisnis berpengaruh positif terhadap ROA namun berpengaruh negatif terhadap Tobin’s Q, dan keberadaan afiliasi di luar negeri serta intensitas riset dan pengembangan berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja perusahaan.

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to study the determinants of finance companies takeover in Indonesia. The finance company industry is one of the fastest growing industries during the last fifteen years with compounded annual growth rate of 122%. The banking industry which provides majority of the funding, has made finance companies as takeover targets. The automotive manufacturers and dealers which provide the products of financing, have the similar strategy. We analyzed seven micro key financial ratios (profitability, efficiency, growth, firm size, risk, liquidity and solvency) and business portfolio determinants of finance companies take over by examining the relationship between backward integration with banks and forward integration with automotive manufacturers and dealers. We use the binary Logit regression technique. The empirical results show that the determinants of finance companies that were targeted for all types of takeover are the size of the assets and return on equity ratio. The probability of being targeted as a takeover candidate by banking industry (backward integration), is larger for finance companies with higher asset size and diversified portfolio. On the contrary, the probability of being targeted as a takeover candidate by automotive manufacturers and dealers (forward integration), is larger for finance companies with higher profitability, provisioning, leverage, asset size and earning ratios.

Abstract

Internet users in Indonesia have reached 88.1 million and around 79 million are active social media users. The high phenomenon of using social media which is considered quite effective for promotion and sales is used by marketers in developing their business through online marketing on social media, one of which is Instagram. Instagram becomes one of the favorite social media that can help companies simplify their business products and services. Through Instagram, entrepreneurs can interact with consumers by sharing photos and videos. For some people, online purchases made through Instagram are considered more effective and efficient in creating online purchase intentions. The purpose of this research is to find out whether Instagram's social media marketing can influence interest in buying online through mediating variables of brand awareness, value awareness, and price awareness. The research method used is quantitative research with partial least square analysis. This study used a questionnaire and was measured with a Likert scale on 240 respondents of SME's customers. The results of this study indicate that Instagram social media marketing can make online purchase intentions without additional assistance by mediating variables brand awareness, value awareness, and price awareness.

Abstract

Keadilan merupakan “jantung”-nya sistem kompensasi. Keadilan dalam kompensasi dapat dibedakan 3 (tiga) yaitu: keadilan individual, keadilan internal dan keadilan eksternal. Apabila terjadi ketidakadilan maka akan berdampak pada menurunnya daya tarik pekerjaan, yang pada akhirnya akan mengakibatkan meningkatnya perputaran karyawan, ketidakpuasan terhadap pekerjaan maupun absensi.Kata kunci: kompensasi, keadilan.

Abstract

AbstractThis research analyzes the influence of profitability, liquidity, and debt to dividend payout ratio in manufacturing companies in Indonesia. The samples consist of 102 companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange during the period of 2008-2010. This research tests three hypotheses related to the influence of profitability, liquidity, and debt toward the dividend payout ratio (DPR). Data obtained were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis. The results of this research indicate that: (1) profitability ratio (ROI) has positively significant influence to dividend payout ratio. (2) Liquidity ratio (QR) does not significantly influence to dividend payout ratio. Abstract

The Passivity of the operations function, when compared to the finance and marketing functions, has long been noted as one of the elements which can explain poor bussiness performance. The subordinate strate¬gic role often assigned to operations leads to a reactive posture. The proactive stance for manufacturing is likely to enhance overall business performance. The riset examined empirically the relationships between manufactur¬ing proactiveness and businees performance based on data collected from a sample of firms in the manufacturing industry. Based on the manufacturing strategy literature, we identify two mayor dimensions of manufacturing proactiveness:(1) the degree of manufacturing`s involvement in the strategic processes of the business unit, and (2) the degree of commitment to long-term program of investments in manufacturing structure and infrastructure aimed at building capabilities in anticipation of their need. The results of the study suggest that dimensions of manu¬facturing proactiveness are show distinguish between high and low performance firms. The firms that score highly on long-term investmens in structural programs coupled high levels of manufacturing invol¬vement in strategic processes and planned investments in infrastructural programs correlate with higher than average performance.Keywords: Manufacturing Involvement, Infrastructural Programs, structural Programs, Business Performance

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh dukungan rekan kerja pada kreativitas karyawan, pengaruh pemoderasian otonomi kerja dan efikasi diri kreatif pada pengaruh dukungan rekan kerja terhadap kreativitas karyawan. Obyek penelitian ini adalah karyawan yang bekerja di perusahaan pertelevisian di Yogyakarta dan Bandung. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner, didistribusikan ke karyawan yang bekerja pada divisi produksi di perusahaan pertelevisian. 131 kuesioner berhasil dikumpulkan dan dianalisis menggunakan Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) untuk menguji hipotesis dengan aplikasi SPSS versi 16. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dukungan rekan kerja berpengaruh positif pada kreativitas karyawan, sedangkan otonomi kerja tidak terbukti memoderasi pengaruh positif dukungan rekan kerja pada kreativitas karyawan dan efikasi diri kreatif pun tidak memoderasi pengaruh positif dukungan rekan kerja pada kreativitas karyawan.Kata Kunci: dukungan rekan kerja, otonomi kerja, efikasi diri kreatif, kreativitas karyawan

Abstract

Struktur kepemilikan perusahaan publik di Indonesia adalah terkonsentrasi dan pemilik utamanya adalah keluarga. Di sini, masalah agensi yang muncul adalah antara pemilik non-keluarga dengan pemilik keluarga bersama manajemen. Karena pola hubungan keagenan antara keduanya bersifat berulang-berurutan maka strategi yang efektif untuk mengatasi masalah agensinya adalah strategi ‘tit for tat’Strategi ‘tit for tat’ ternyata dominan di Bursa Efek Jakarta pada tahun 1996 maupun pada tahun 2000. Dominasi strategi ini lebih menonjol pada perusahaan yang porsi kepemilikan keluarganya tinggi, namun menjadi tidak dominan ketika kepemilikan keluarga relatif kecil. Hasil uji empiris menunjukkan bahwa strategi ‘tit for tat’ hanya efektif untuk mengurangi masalah agensi ketika berbentuk reward dan tidak efektif ketika berbentuk punishment.Kata Kunci: Strategi ‘tit for tat’, masalah agensi, dominasi kepemilikan keluarga

Abstract

Perusahaan Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) Indonesia mempunyai peran sangat penting dalam perekonomian nasional.  Pemerintah telah menetapkan Rencana Pengembangan Jangka Panjang (2005-2025) dengan salah satu program stratejiknya berupa penguatan posisi UKM dengan memperperbaiki akses terhadap jasa keuangan, produksi, pemasaran dan manajemen. Selain hal tersebut, penelitian yang ada menunjukkan bahwa permasalahan sustainability UKM merupakan masalah serius, yang diyakini karena faktor ekonomi. Salah satu faktor ekonomi adalah persoalan kritis yakni lemahnya mekanisme tata kelola (governance) perusahaan. Permasalahan governance umumnya ada pada manajemen/pengelola organisasi UKM. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan investigasi dalam mengidentifikasi sebuah dasar pengetahuan (knowledge base) atas implementasi good corporate governance pada sektor UKM, serta mengidentifikasi aspek pengaturan yang perlu dimodifikasi atas implementasi good corporate governance pada sektor UKM. Kuisioner penelitian dikirimkan kepada 150 calon responden (pemilik dan atau manajer) dan dianalisis dari 49 responden yang berpartisipasi. Survei pada penelitian ini menemukan bahwa implementasi mekanisme good corporate governance pada UKM di wilayah Malang Raya masih sangat terbatas. Implikasi dari penelitiaan ini adalah perlunya melakukan eksplorasi lebih lanjut terhadap dimensi governance yang lebih cocok untuk mendukung terciptanya mekanisme good corporate governance pada UKM.

Abstract

The service quality is always the main factor for organization which focuses on the customer satisfaction to enhance their business and their performance. In order to have the great quality, they depend on their human resources. They need human resources who perform well. The employee who shows strong Organizational Citizenship Behavior believed can be performs better. That is why it is important for the organization to create employee with the strong OCB. OCB influenced by various factors. Job satisfaction and organization commitment are two important factors among them, which can predict the OCB. Organization should maintain the level of their employee’s satisfaction and commitment in order to develop the strong OCB. The research analyzed the effect of the job satisfaction and organization commitment on OCB at the PLN Distribution Office for Wet Java and Banten. Research conducted towards 100 participants using the multiple regression and descriptive analysis method. Through the analysis we found that job satisfaction and organization commitment has significance relation toward OCB (0.516). This finding is in line with previous research which promotes positive relation between these variables, eventhough only a mild percentage (0.266).The organization should place detail attention when applying the treatment. We suggest that the both job satisfaction and organization commitment should apply simultaneously in order to get better result. Further research needed to identify others factor which might be important to enhance the OCB.
