Abstract

The most recently problem that used to happened at PT XYZ is about production planning (Master Production Scheduling). Production planning in this company always takes so many times. To solve the problem, this research was trying to develop a disaggregate production planning. The steps were, demand forecasting, production capacity planning, and disaggregate planning. Double moving average, double exponential smoothing, and decomposition method were used to forecast demand. Least cost and stepping stone were the two methods from transportation model that were used to solve the production capacity planning. Hax and Meal method were used to solve a disaggregate planning.

Abstract

Industrial company, especially automotive companies posses unique characteristics compared with other companies. One of these unique characteristics are that they must own a production system which is able to meet customer requests, who recently becomes more and more interested in paint quality. Companies compete to find defect as early as possible in their production area. Painting quality parameter can be measured in number of defects found by Quality Inspection in the Vehicle Inspection line. These defects can be monitored by applying Quality Information System. This system enables faster exchange of defect information to each production operator who made mistakes thereby not reaching quality standards. Company has to invest for this system, and the investment value can be evaluated in efficiency which can also be used to raise company efficiency.

Abstract

Maintenance system, surely takes important role for daily operational lift. A lift which frequently broken could delay the activities. The right maintenance system should be the one that is planned well. If we could identify or estimate an elevator reliability level, then we could determine when should the maintenance, in form of part replacement, best to perform. The data shown that lift NPX-36000 is the critical lift and its critical part is PCB, because of PCB failure percentage is more than 50% from all failure.

Abstract

The inventory system is one of the most important managerial functions, since vast majority of companies has large investment involved in this aspect. This also applies to PT. Palko Sari Eka that is big in the field of inventory planning and production control. PT. Palko Sari Eka, as one company in the oil refinery industry, strives to optimize the inventory of raw materials Crude Coconut Oil by trying to compare different methods of inventory control methods such as the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity, method of EOI (Economic Order Interval), Min-Max method. Crude Coconut Oil is one of the major raw material products, which require a good inventory system. From the results of research conducted, it turns out the character of stochastic demand data, it is also necessary to conduct simulations to obtain results closer to the actual conditions. The inventory criteria can be said to be optimal if the total annual cost is minimum. It is concluded that the best method is the Fixed Size Order Systems (EOQ) with an order of 2770 mT per order.

Abstract

Production machines can be a barrier for the on time product availability. If there is no time consideration of the usage of production machines or less in maintenance, the machines will not be used in product processing. In the case of tool punch Heading machine in which the machine need to maintain in the right period of time using Age Replacement method. This method can help management to determine the period in inspection and preventive maintenance. Based on time period, preventive maintenance that was done can be decrease downtime, increase machines availability and reliability.

Abstract

The bridge construction industry has a unique characteristics compared to other industrial companies, namely its production system should be able to meet increasing demands and very high fluctuations. Limited space in the production line and increasing operational costs have made the management of PT BMI obtaining a more appropriate management strategy for its production system. In this research, the author attempts to implement the 5S principle in production management. This study aims to implement and reveal the effectiveness of production time from the implementation of 5S principle in the Fabrication 1 division. The study is also conducted by formulating the actual problem, followed by literature review and direct observation in the field for calculation of requirements to achieve full implementation of the 5S principle. This study recommends the company to implement the 5S principle to other divisions, due to proven increase in efficiency.

Abstract

Trasportation problem, elaburates the amount of sources which is able to supply resources in relation to the capacity limit. In the other side, there are amount of destinations that need resources supply based on its needs. If the delivery cost for one unit of resource, from the source to the destination is known, the total delivery cost will be minimum. This article takes a transportation issue in undefinete delivery cost per unit, it means, it isn’t a single numeral, but takes value from an interval.

Abstract

Main problem in planning and controlling supply is to determine how many order of the main material or raw material is done and when the order should be done so the production can smoothly run and increase the efficientcy of the production process. The wrong supply control will make customer’s demand cannot be fulfilled on time. Besides that, the trust and customer opinion on company will decline. Therefore, a planning and control supply is needed to achieve a maximum result.

Abstract

This study discusses the Pioneer Flight Development Planning, within the scope of the case studies in 2013 at an airline in Indonesia. Economic growth that is followed by the growth of air traffic growth certainly helps to improve both foreign tourists and local tourists. However, there are still some areas in Indonesia that still has a low connectivity or it could be said that has no connectivity. To overcome this, the government is required to hold a pioneering air transport as set out in Article 104 of Law No. I, year of 2009. The theory used in this study related to the preparation of air velocity diagram, budget planning, project feasibility evaluation, and preparation of income statement. The analysis in this pioneering flight route includes route of the development of targeted pioneering flight, such as KPA-Ternate with the route of Ternate-Gebe, Ternate-Mangole, Ternate-Labuha, Ternate-Morotai, Ternate-Galela, Mangole-Sanana, and NAC Paludengan Buol, Palu -Tolitoli, Palu-Tarakan and Palu- Samarinda. The result is expected to be a reference and it was likely a reference to other studies and further, especially for the development and contribution to the Republic of Indonesia.
