Abstract

Implementing pattern recognition techniques into quality of design/manufacturing processes will be guidelines to cover the Management Support System (MSS). All situations normally occurs either in the design phase or proccess analysis such as, engineering and manufacturing reviews. A summary of an engineer’s and team’s thoughts (including an analysis of items that could go wrong based on experience and past concerns) as a component, subsystem or system is designed to create MSS. This approach will consider the Clustering techniques in the Decision Support Principle Components Analysis (PCA) that parallels the systematic formalizes the management disciplines that an engineer normally goes in any activities or process.

Abstract

Location based service using positioning system technology, known as Location Based Service (LBS), is the newest cellular technology that is commonly used service based on SMS. The purpose of this research is to make a software in form of LBS application service provider simulator that can help to develop the LBS application, especially in Location Platform system. The result is a software application that can be used in LBS application development without disturbing the running system application performance, support the productivity, and can be used as simulation to see the LBS application result.

Abstract

Generally on BUMN sugar factory the rendement is lower than private sugar factory. The audit purpose is to know processing system description and hopefully will be able to deliver suggestion and recommendation to management to improve the processing system. Auditee is one of BUMN sugar factory in East Java with 3000 TCD (ton cane per day) milling capacity, Auditee produce sugar with 6, 20% average rendement and side product such as, bagasse, molasses, and blotong. According to the audit we can conclude the low rendement is caused by low quality of sugar cane plant and processing system on the factory.

Abstract

If an  industry  wants to get product out put with competitive high quality, price, and time precise, it must be able to efficient the production process. One of way to reach it is by improving the utilize of tools and engine. That will come true if it supported by a good nursery management so it can produce a supportive decision of production activity and minimize the down time.

Abstract

Brand function as company’s strengh in the global competition needs a different approach by reffering to the three lenses: strategic design lens, political design lens, and cultural design lens. The three lenses have component that become a key of a brand. The lader role as interest builder, supporter, and pioneer of brand component is very important thing to be notice.

Abstract

The achievement of trainees in transferring the knowledge and skill developed during training in their job is an important factor to measure the success of training. The objective of research was to examine how the training input, trainee characteristics, training design, and work environment were important factors in determining the success of trainee learning process. Furthermore, the result shows that the trainee’s characteristics, training design, and work environment are the significant factor in influencing trainee in applying their knowledge and skill gained at training to their job.

Abstract

This study aims to test the hypothetical model that describes the correlation between motorcycling behavior and four latent variables assumed to make up bikers in action. A survey of 350 motorcyclists through purposive sampling was done by employing a research instrument. Validity and reliability test of research instrument were conducted by calculating the Cronbachs Alpha. Whereas, the hypothesis model test was conducted using statistical technique of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through Lisrel 8.72 software. CFI, Chi-square, and RMSEA are fit indexes used to test the suitability of the hypothesis model with field data (model fit). Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were used to evaluate the reliability and structural validity of the instrument used. Besides, they were used to test the hypothesis that a positive relationship between the observed variables and the four latent variables, as well as a positive relationship between the four latent variables and motorcycling behavior construct.

Abstract

This Article explains the outputs of the chair prototype research and do not explains the process of the chair design. Based on the obtained data, further is performed design of a chair and make its prototype. The result of the examination to some respondents during 60 minutes shows that sewing in the old chair average 116 pulses/minute, while using the new one is 104 pulses/minute. The frequency of sitting position change decreases from 13 times in the old chair to be 5 times in the new one. The questionnaire shows that using the new design gives better conformity than the old one. In this case, it can be concluded that sewing in the new design chair gives better conformity and increases the production comparing with using the old one.

Abstract

Time process to make molding is highly influenced by machining process. So to increase productivity, it must be avoided the machining lost time from production process. Therefore, it needs control to the usage of machine. As a control that had been done is to find main cause factor why cnc machine runs unproperly, by sampling method to measure lost time happened in order to get optimum condition. The result of the activity shows how long lost time can be tolerated.
