For optical lens manufacturing the development of product and service quality is a key thing in answering challenges in the business competition it is developing. To achieve this determine the Key Performance Indicator (KPI), the Rejected Rate and On-Time Delivery (OTD) to measure the extent of the performance that has been achieved and how to develop it, shape the work culture of Kaizen which commits to continuous improvement and value chain analysis largely determine the process of developing production and service quality. The Kaizen culture and value chain applied in achieving the KPI target in this study succeeded in reducing the KPI Rejected Rate by 0. 46% and raise OTD by 2. 22%. The method used in this study uses a review of literature studies, observations, and direct interviews of the plant manager of one of the largest optical lenses manufacturers in Indonesia using data comparisons in 2018 and 2020

Coffee is one of the leading commodities in the plantation sub-sector in Indonesia because it has good market opportunities both locally and globally. The purpose of this research was to find out how the effect of perceived product similarity, product choices overload in the market toward decisions making difficulty, and knowledge of product classes as moderating variable. Data were collected using Google Forms and a self-administered questionnaire. Respondents in this study were 300 coffee consumers which were drawn using the purposive sampling method. Moderated regression was used to analyze this study. The results showed that perceived product similarity influences product choices overload positively and decision-making difficulties negatively. Choice overload had an insignificant effect on decision-making difficulties, and product class knowledge moderates the effect of perceived product similarity on decision-making difficulty. These findings provide insight into the importance of the brand as a distinguishing identity from other products.

This research was conducted to determine the impact of Covid-19 on the Company’s stock returns and trading volume activity. The covid-19 pandemic event is important for research because it includes investor’s assessment of the information generated in the capital market. This study was conducted to test the following hypotheses: before and after the Covid-19 pandemic was declared a national non-natural disaster, (1) there was a significant average change in the average abnormal return; (2) it is a significant average change in average trading volume activity. This research was conducted using event research methods. The sample for this study comes from 45 companies in the JII index. The analysis tool used is a regression with the SPSS. The descriptive statistic can be confirmed by calculating the standard deviation value. The result shows that the standard deviation range is 0.0002 to 0.03, so the research tool could be described as data obtained is suitable to the measurement variable. The conclusions explain that the events before and after the declaration of the Covid-19 outbreak as a national non-natural disaster have positive and a significant impact on the average abnormal return rate of stock activity and changes in trading volume activity.

The inconsistent distribution of dividends is a unique phenomenon and it needs to be examined. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine ten predictors affecting dividend policy of the inconsistent distribution of dividends. This study used the purposive sampling method to analyze the data that were obtained from a total sample of 133 observation objects collected in the 19 real estates, property, and building construction companies listed on the IDX Between 2013 - 2019. Furthermore, the method used is hypotheses testing and statistical analysis tool used is the hierarchical multiple panel data regression with the Least Squares Dummy Variables. The results obtained from panel A are firm risk, financial leverage, and investment opportunity that affect the dividend policy. Meanwhile, the panel B results are company risk, financial leverage, investment opportunity, and previous dividend, although the previous dividend had no effect due to the different direction of influence. This study proves the determinants and relevance of the parametric statistical analysis in the inconsistent distribution of dividends. Moreover, it is useful for managerial practitioners to pay attention to predictors for increasing company performances and to ensure investors obtain optimal return of their dividend.

This study aims to investigate the effects of corporate governance on company performance and dividends paid by the company. In developing countries where the protection system against public investors is still weak, corporate governance becomes important. This study uses a sample of manufacturing companies in three developing countries. i.e., Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The variables that represent corporate governance are board characteristics and ownership structure. Board characteristics comprise board size, independent board, and board gender, while the ownership structure uses managerial ownership and institutional ownership. The results show that in Indonesia, corporate governance has no significant effect on company performance and dividends. In comparison, in Malaysia, the female board has a positive effect on both performance and dividends paid. Whereas in Thailand, institutional ownership has a negative effect both on performance and dividends paid. The results also consistently show that debt and company size have an effect on performance and dividends in the three countries.

Respondents were collected using an online survey using a simple random sampling technique. The number of respondents used in this study was 102 respondents. Based on the results of data processing, financial literacy on financial resilience is not supported. Meanwhile, the effect of financial literacy on financial resilience by mediating household behavior is accepted. The hypothesis of financial planning on financial resilience is not supported. However, the effect of financial planning on financial resilience with household behavior as mediation is supported. This research provides theoretical and practical contributions which will also be discussed further in this paper.

The purpose of this study is to identify the level of empowerment of dry-land farmers and develop a model of strategy for empowering them. This study was done in  Wonogiri Regency, Central Java Province, Indonesia. The level of empowerment is approached descriptively, while the development of an empowerment strategy uses the Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The results shows the level of empowerment of dry-land farmers in those area is still low indicated by the power of access to economic (credit, market information, and technology) and non-economic (lobbying and stakeholders) where each value is less than 50% based on the results of the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and in-depth interviews with keypersons.  The empowerment strategy can be carried out by developing production, capital procurement, production technology assistance, and improvement of dry land agroecosystems.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the causality between economic variables, i.e. economic growth, economic openness, and energy consumption to carbon dioxide emissions, and analyze short-run and long-run connections between research variables in Indonesia during the period 1971 to 2018. This research is using VECM analysis and Granger Causality. The results of the VECM analysis in this research show that in the short-run the variable carbon dioxide emissions in the previous period, economic openness, and energy consumption have a significant effect on carbon dioxide emissions in Indonesia, and in the long run, the variables of economic growth, economic openness, and energy consumption have a significant effect on carbon dioxide emissions in Indonesia. The Granger Causality analysis found a bidirectional causality between energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. It also found unidirectional causality between economic growth and carbon dioxide emissions. The recommendations that can be shared are that The Government of Indonesia should be more worried about the degradation in environmental quality in Indonesia as a result of economic development. On the other hand, in achieving sustainable economic development, the Indonesian Government must immediately use energy resources more efficiently and environmentally friendly
