Jurnal Administrasi Bisnis (JAB) is the biannual scientific journal of Business Administration, published by the Center for Business Studies (CeBiS), Business Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Parahyangan Catholic University. Jurnal Administrasi Bisnis is issued two (2) times a year, every March and September, which contains essays or research results in Business Administration. Jurnal Administrasi Bisnis aims to disseminate the ideas and scientific analysis in the field of Business Administration.

Abstract

Politics and business may seem to exist separately. Businesses primarily focus onstrategies and policies to improve operations and increase the profitability of compa-nies. Politics, on the other hand, play in a different arena, delving into the creation ofpublic policies for the advancement of constituents and the country. However, uponclose examination of how politics and business truly work, a connection betweenboth becomes apparent. Abstract

Politik dan bisnis merupakan dua aktifitas yang tidak dapat dipisahkan, yangmembentuk satu lingkungan besar yaitu lingkungan sosial. Lingkungan sosialini dapat mencakup aspek yang luas, seperti etika, corporate governance,corporate social responsibility, perlindungan konsumen, kepuasan konsumen, persaingan,industrial relation, pasar saham, hubungan dengan lembaga pemerintah,dan aspek sosial politik lainnya. Beberapa aspek ini merupakan sajian utama padapenerbitan Jurnal Administrasi Bisnis (JAB) Volume 5 Nomor 2 Tahun 2009.Jojok Dwiridotjahjono menyajikan isu mengenai corporate governance (tatakelola perusahaan) yang merupakan salah satu bahasan penting dalam rangka mendukungpemulihan ekonomi dan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang stabil di masa yang akandatang, baik di Indonesia ataupun di berbagai negara Asia lainnya, yang mengalamikrisis ekonomi pada pertengahan tahun 1997. Sedangkan Haeryip Sihombing danMochamad Safarudin mengangkat tema mengenai corporate social responsibilitysebagai salah satu inovasi pelaku bisnis dalam menghadapi pasar, seiring denganperubahan iklim dan kemiskinan sebagai pembentuk pasar.James R. Situmorang membahas mengenai keterkaitan antara politikdan bisnis, baik sebagai ilmu ataupun berdasarkan pendekatan empiris darilingkungan bisnis yang mencakup internal ataupun eksternal. Abdul Rahmanmembahas mengenai pentingnya setiap organisasi, baik bisnis atapun publik, untukmemperhatikan kualitas produk yang di tawarkannya. Orientasi pada kepuasankonsumen (pelanggan) mendorong organisasi untuk merumuskan kualitas secaralengkap. Situasi persaingan yang demikian ketat ditambah dengan tuntutan publikyang meningkat telah memaksa setiap organisasi untuk terus meningkatkan kualitasproduknya. Setyabudi Indartono menyajikan sebuah kajian mengenai hubunganantara persepsi politik organisasi terhadap komitmen, dan bagaimana variabelkepercayaan (trust) dapat menjelaskan hubungan tersebut.Arie I. Chandra menguraikan mengenai pentingnya setiap organisasi bisnis untukmengelola hubungan baik dan fungsional dengan para pemangku kepentingan.Hubungan perusahaan dengan lingkungan luarnya tidak lagi dapat disederhanakansebagai perihal mengoptimalkan kepuasan pembeli dan keuntungan perusahaan semata.Dengan semakin kompleksnya kehidupan modern maka ini berimbas pulapada perusahaan. Dalam menghasilkan barang dan atau jasa, perusahaan wajib memperhatikanaspek kesehatan dan keselamatan bagi pembeli/pengguna. SedangkanElizabeth Tiur Manurung dan Sean Adi Mulyawan memberikan kajian empirismengenai pengaruh dari tingkat bunga dan indeks harga saham terhadap harga sahamPT Telkom. Pasar modal merupakan salah satu sarana bagi pemerintah untuk menjalankankebijakan dalam rangka menstabilkan perekonomian. Saham merupakansalah satu instrumen pasar modal. Pergerakan harga saham diindikasikan oleh indeksharga saham dan juga tingkat bunga.

Abstract

This paper is the extension study of the relationship between perception of organiza-tion politics (POP), and commitment. This study investigates how trust explained therelation between these relationships. Mediation effect of trust was used to explainhow this perception was related to commitment. Moderation effect was used forfurther explanation on investigation the complexities of these relationships.The result showed that the model was adequacy fit. PoP has negative correlationwith commitment. Trust has fully mediated the relationship between PoP and com-mitment. In order to the moderation, the result showed that employee who has higherof trust was seen stronger POP-Commitment relationship than those who has lowerones.Implication of the findings for organizations and suggestions for future researchare discussed.Keywords: perception of organizational politics, perception of equity, trust, Com-mitment

Abstract

Corporate governance is still at the top of the agenda for Indonesia and Asian corpo-rations. The issue of corporate governance arises since economic crisis in Indonesiaand Asian countries. Country factors can play a key role in setting the framework forcorporate governance practices at the individual company level. Given that corpo-rate governance matters regardless of the particular system - the legal and economicframework conditions - investors have shown growing interest in a global bench-mark of good behavior. There persists the belief that good corporate governance canhelp create shareholders value and ensuring that enterprizes only responsibility tosociety is to maximize profits without breaking the law, hence the role of corpo-rate governance is to provide appropriate corporate control. This article elaboratedabout implementation good corporate governance ; benefits, obstacles, challenge andopportunity for Indonesia corporations.Keywords: Good Corporate Governance

Abstract

The face of business in today’s society is ever changing, highly dynamic and extraor-dinarily diverse. Abstract

Mostly corporate social responsibility activities are programs generated that have nodirectly beneficial impacts to the business. In fact, those activities are merely thespace of philanthropy, so the business core existence as a profits seeker missed out totreat the market as a potential beneficial and advantage. The corporate social responsi-bility, however, which is mixed and derived by two-sided market, localization, buyingmode, and strategy value based, will drive the bottom of pyramid as a potential marketof the competitive advantage for company’s economic sustainable development andlong-term profits. In case of poverty (TKI), the companies can perform a strategybusiness for economic prospect and development through business innovation and/orinnovation of corporate social responsibility, and vice versa.Keywords: CSR, the bottom of pyramid, 2-sided market, localization, and compet-itive advantage

Capital market has important role in Indonesia’s economy as a tool for governmentto maintain economic stability. Stock is one of many capital market’s instruments.Stock price fluctiations can be seen from Composite Stock Price Index and SectoralStock Price Index. Stock price fluctuations is influenced by many factors. One ofthose factors is interest rate. Abstract

Increasing and maintaining a service quality are not an easy job, moreover if thereare involving some division in delivering the services. JPK programme, as one of thepublic service programme in health, which are organized by PT jamsostek (Persero),using the trhee party pattern which are involving three institution, such as BadanPenyelenggara (PT Jamsostek), Provider (Health Care Organizer) dan Recipient (cor-poration dan employee) as their customer. The three party pattern is a complex modelsince each involved institutions have their own potential. Interaction among the threeinstitution will come out a potential side effect problem, which in the end affectedthe quality of the delivered services.
