Abstract

The Growth of motorcycles in Indonesia creates high proportion of motorcycles on traffic flow. This high proportion, which is very dominant, creates some traffic problems, including traffic jam dan traffic accidents. There are several methods available to solve the problems; for example providing motorcycle lane and slow lane for the movement of motorcycles. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of motorcycle lane and slow lane using microsimulation model. The results show that the microsimulation model can only be used for road sections with the average motor cycle speed less than 40 km per hour.Keywords: high proportion of motorcycle, microsimulation, motorcycle lane, slow lane

Abstract

Abstrak Kota Makassar, sebagai pintu gerbang kawasan Indonesia Timur, perlu menyediakan segala sarana dan prasarana kota, termasuk jalan akses menuju ke pusat kota. Salah satu jalan alternatif yang akan dibangun di Makassar adalah Jl. Abd. Dg. Sirua, yang dapat menghubungkan pusat kota dengan daerah di bagian selatan. Dalam membangun jalan alternatif tersebut perlu diindentifikasi pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja sistem lalu lintas. Studi ini bertujuan memprakirakan dampak pembangunanan jalan alternatif terhadap kinerja sistem lalu lintas. Pengambilan data meliputi data primer, yang diperoleh melalui survey lapangan, dan data sekunder, yang diperoleh melalui survey institusional. Analisis dilakukan dengan membandingkan karakteristik lalu lintas sebelum dan sesuadah jalan alternatid beroperasi. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perubahan karakteristik lalu lintas setelah jalan alternatif beroperasi., yaitu derajat kejenuhan berubah dari 0,67 menjadi 0,33, tingkat pelayanan dari C menjadi A, dan kecepatan lalu lintas dari 29 km/jam menjadi 48 km/jam. Kata-kata kunci: dampak pembangunan jalan, Makassar, kapasitas jalan, derajat kejenuhan, tingkat pelayanan

Abstract

Trip Generation Models in Palembang applying Radial Basis Function Neural Networks (RBFNN) is discussed in this paper. In this study, the data of trip production and land use are derived from the origin destination survey in Palembang in 2009, where the city of Palembang divided into 16 zones. To test the reliability of the model, the results of the RBFNN models are compared with the results of the regression analysis model. The results indicate that RBFNN model can give satisfactory prediction ability and it is better compare with the results of regression analysis where it can be seen from the coefficient of determination (R2) of the two models.Keywords: radial basis function neural networks, trip generation, land use, analisis regresi

Abstract

The waste of sawdust ash available in Ternate, North Maluku Province, has the potential to be used as material for making asphalt concrete mixtures. In this study, the waste of sawdust ash was used to make a mixture of type B Hot Rolled Sheet Asphalt Concrete (HRS). The results showed that sawdust ash has the potential to be used as the filler material in the mixture of type B HRS. It was shown also that the voids in mixture of the type B HRS in this study were very high, which could reduce the durability of the mixture. The use of sawdust ash has also the potential to produce cheaper mixtures.Key words: sawdust ash, hot rolled sheet, voids in the mix, durability.

Abstract

Abstract As one of the TDM alternative for improving bus public transport services, park-and-ride (P&R) could support a larger mode shift from private car users. Experience from other developed countries proves that P&R could bring more passenger uses mass transit system. Two important parameter for the successful of P&R services are location and tarif.  In Jakarta, the successful implementation of Blok M-Kota first busway corridor could not be followed by others, due to low quality of transfer facilities. Abstract

Abstract In a complex system, such as in the field of transportation safety, the problem is actually present in the basic structure of the system. Therefore, an analysis of the system is needed to solve the problems in a comprehensive manner. For this reason, a systems approach is highly demanded. The systems approach is not just a matter of theory but also the practical way of thinking and philosophy in solving a problem. System dynamics model presents a set of cohesive steps to be followed systematically by understanding the root or basic cause of any problems under consideration. By providing insight into the feedback process, system dynamics models provide a better understanding of the users of the system to understand the dynamic behavior of a system. Keywords: system dynamics, systems approach, model, transport safety  Abstrak Dalam suatu sistem yang kompleks, seperti dalam bidang keselamatan transportasi, permasalahan sebenarnya terdapat pada struktur dasar sistem tersebut. Oleh karena itu, analisis terhadap sistem dibutuhkan untuk dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan secara komprehensif atau diperlukan suatu bentuk penyelesaian yang menggunakan pendekatan sistem. Pendekatan sistem bukan hanya menyangkut masalah teori tetapi juga mengenai cara berpikir dan filsafat praktis dalam memecahkan suatu masalah. Model dinamika sistem menyajikan seperangkat langkah-langkah penyelesaian kohesif yang harus diikuti secara sistematis dengan memahami akar atau penyebab dasar setiap permasalahan yang dipertimbangkan. Dengan memberikan wawasan dalam proses umpan balik, model dinamika sistem memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik kepada pengguna sistem untuk memahami perilaku dinamis suatu sistem. Kata-kata kunci: dinamika sistem, pendekatan sistem, model, keselamatan transportasi

Abstract

Abstract The rapid development along Sudirman Road, in the City of Balikpapan, causes congestion. Due to limited land, the government attempts to develop a reclamation area through Coastal Road Project which one of its objectives is to overcome congestion. The road performance analysis on the integration of existing road network system with the coastal road was carried out using traffic counting methods in 2017 for predicting traffic volume caused by the coastal road and traffic volume in 2024. The analysis was performed with 3 scenarios, namely Scenario 1 (traffic in 2017), Scenario 2 (traffic in 2024 without coastal road), and Scenario 3 (traffic in 2024 with coastal road). The result shows that the traffic conditions in some segments of Jalan Sudirman are in smooth condition, dense, and congestion. The road segments that require handling are Parking Building, Bekapai Park, and Terminal Damai segments. Keywords: road performance, road network, traffic volume, traffic congestion  Abstrak Pesatnya pembangunan di sepanjang Jalan Sudirman, Kota Balikpapan, menimbulkan kemacetan. Karena keterbatasan lahan, Pemerintah Kota Balikpapan berupaya mengembangkan kawasan dengan reklamasi pantai melalui Proyek Coastal Road yang salah satu tujuannya adalah mengatasi kemacetan di Jalan Sudirman. Analisis kinerja ruas jalan pada integrasi sistem jaringan jalan eksisting dengan coastal road dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei lalu lintas 2017 untuk memprediksi volume lalu lintas akibat coastal area dan volume lalu lintas tahun 2024. Analisis dilakukan dengan 3 skenario, yaitu  Skenario 1 (lalu lintas tahun 2017), Skenario 2 (lalu lintas 2024 tanpa coastal road), dan Skenario 3 (lalu lintas 2024 dengan coastal road). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa lalu lintas di beberapa segmen Jalan Sudirman dalam kondisi lancar, padat, dan macet. Segmen jalan yang memerlukan penanganan adalah Segmen Gedung Parkir, Segmen Taman Bekapai, dan Segmen Terminal Damai. Kata-kata kunci: kinerja jalan, jaringan jalan, volume lalu lintas, kemacetan lalu lintas

Abstract

Buton Asphalt is a natural asphalt which has advantages because it contains minerals and asphalt, even though its asphalt content does not completely meet the specification as a binder of asphalt concrete. Various studies of the Buton Asphalt usage have been carried out. This paper presented the results of a study on asphalt concrete mixtures using materials of Buton Granular Aggregate (BGA), treating the BGA as aggregates, with the BGA content of 5% and 7%. Mixtures and specimens were analyzed to investigate the effects of BGA on the performance of asphalt concrete. The results showed that the indirect tensile strength for the mixture with BGA of 5% is higher than that obtained in the those with BGA content of 7%.Keywords: natural asphalt, asphalt concrete, Buton Granular Asphalt, indirect tensile strength.

Abstract

Abstract Public transportation is very important to support community activities in a city. The Lapindo mud disaster in Sidoarjo has impacts on community activities and public transportation travel patterns in the area. The performance of public transportation services in Sidoarjo is currently quite poor, with an average frequency of less than 6 vehicles/hour, an average headway of greater than 10 minutes, a load factor of less than 70 %, an average speed less than 30 km/hour, and an average travel time of less than 60 minutes. The low load factors could result in decreasing the revenue of public transportation operators which implies a decrease in welfare. In the field, around 20 % of public transportation vehicles are not operating in accordance with the route. In addition, some fleets are not in operation, especially on the route that led to the Porong area, because of the declining number of passengers as a result of the Lapindo mud disaster. For that reason, it is necessary for public transportation route network to adapt to impact map of the Lapindo mudflow and the development of the road network in Sidoarjo. Key words: public transportation, performance evaluation, load factor, headway, route  Abstrak Angkutan umum sangat penting untuk mendukung aktivitas masyarakat di suatu kota. Bencana lumpur Lapindo di Sidoarjo berdampak pada aktivitas masyarakat dan pola perjalanan angkutan umum di daerah tersebut. Kinerja layanan angkutan umum di Kabupaten Sidoarjo saat ini kurang baik, dengan frekuensi rata-rata kurang dari 6 kendaraan/jam, waktu antara rata-rata lebih besar dari 10 menit, faktor muat kurang dari 70 %, kecepatan rata-rata kurang dari 30 km/jam, serta waktu tempuh perjalanan rata-rata kurang dari 60 menit. Faktor muat yang rendah berakibat menurunnya penghasilan operator angkutan umum yang berimplikasi pada penurunan kesejahteraan. Hal yang terjadi di lapangan adalah bahwa sekitar 20 % angkutan umum beroperasi tidak sesuai dengan ijin trayeknya. Selain itu beberapa armada tidak beroperasi, khususnya pada trayek yang menuju ke daerah Porong, karena menurunnya jumlah penumpang akibat bencana lumpur Lapindo. Untuk itu, diperlukan jaringan trayek angkutan umum yang disesuaikan dengan peta dampak lumpur Lapindo dan pengembangan jaringan jalan di Sidoarjo. Kata-kata kunci: angkutan umum, evaluasi kinerja, faktor muat, waktu antara, trayek
