Abstract

This research aims to determine the highest number of fish catches based on the size of the hook in the operation of hand-line fishing gear and to determine the effect of differences in the size of the hook on the catch of hand-line fishermen in Molamahu Village, Paguat District, Pohuwato Regency. This research was carried out from June 2019 to January 2020. The method used in this research was experimental fishing. Observations were carried out 15 times, each trip was divided into 3 boats, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), data analysis using the data normality test (Liliefors test), homogeneity test using the barlet test, hypothesis testing (one way anova) and the BNT follow-up test ( Smallest Real Difference). The results of the research show that all types of fishermen's catches amounted to 9 families of coral fish, where fishing hook No. 17 obtained more catches (as many as 432 heads) compared to hook No. 10, No. 14 and No. 20. The results of the BNT test analysis show that, the comparison of the number of catches between hook No. 17 and No. 20; between no. 17 and no 14; between No. 17 and No. 10; between No. 20 and No. 14; between No. 20 and No. 10; and between no.14 and No. 10 are all at obvious different.

Abstract

This research aims to determine water quality analysis in different cultivation systems for tilapia (Orecromis niloticus) cultivation. This research was carried out in May 2024 at the Andalas Fish Seed Center, Gorontalo City. Method: This data was obtained from the results of measurements in the Bioflok pond, which is a holding pond for Tilapia fish (Oreocromis niloticus) and the Beton pond, which is a pond for rearing Tilapia fish seeds (Oreocromis niloticus), where measurements of pH, DO and temperature are carried out every 6 hours and on measurements. Table media is used in data processing to differentiate between one result and another. Based on the research results, it shows that the cultivation system using biofloc ponds is more effective in converting ammonia compounds into nitrate compounds and maintaining the water quality of the tilapia cultivation media. Water quality greatly influences the growth and survival of farmed fish, where biofloc ponds with more controlled water quality can increase the growth and survival of farmed fish.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate and analyze the organoleptic and chemical characteristics of curuti cake fortified with sand sea cucumber flour. The treatment is the addition of 15 g, 20 g, and 25 g of sand sea cucumber flour to the curuti cake. The parameter tested is organoleptic characteristic including appearance, aroma, color, texture, and taste which is analyzed by using Kruskal-Wallis. The treatment with a significant effect is continued with Duncam advanced tes to see the difference in treatmen. chemical characteristic (moisture content, fat content, ash conten, protein content, carbohydrate content, and fiber content) is determined by using completely Randomized Design (CRD) and is analyzed by using ANOVA. The Duncam advanced test shows that the treatment of curuti cake formulation with different fortification of sand sea cucumber flour result in significantly different organoleptic characteristics, such as appearance, aroma, color, texture, and taste. The result of ANOVA test shows that the sand sea cucumber flour fortification treatment has an effect on the chemical characteristics of curuti cake ith the range of water content from 2.25 to 4.32%, ash content from 5.22 to 5.72%, fat content from 16.15 to 19.7%, protein content 15.51 to 22.72%, carabohydrate content from 49.34 to 58.49%, and fiber content from 0.14 to 0.30%. The best treatment, according to the panelists assessment, is the fortification of P2 sand sea cucumber flour for 20 grams which results in water content of 2.32%, protein content of 20.99%, ash content of 5.27%, fat content of 17.81%, carbohydrate content of 54.48%, and fiber content 0.16%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val) solution on the pH and ALT of beloso fish (Glossogobius sp.). The treatment factor is a turmeric solution consisting of 10% (A), 20% (B) and 30% (C) for soaking times of 12 hours, 24 hours, 36 hours and 48 hours. The data analysis used was a Completely Randomized Factorial Design and the data results were significantly different followed by the Least Significant Difference (BNT) test. The results of the research showed that the use of turmeric solution and different soaking times had an effect on the pH and ALT of beloso fish. Beloso fish soaked in 30% turmeric solution for 24 hours had a pH value of 5.72% and an ALT value of 3.2x105 colonies/g. These results are in accordance with SNI 01-2729.1.2006 concerning fresh fish.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pemberian pakan yang bersumber protein limbah ampas tahu dan kepala udang terhadap pertumbuhan, hubungan panjang berat dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan patin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu tingkat pemberian pakan A (3%) pakan komersil PF-1000 sebagai kontrol, B (5%), C (10%) dan D (15%) dari bobot biomassa ikan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi pertumbuhan mutlak, pertumbuhan harian, hubungan panjang berat dan kelangsungan hidup, sedangkan parameter pendukung yaitu kualitas air meliputi suhu, pH dan kandungan oksigen terlarut. Analisis terhadap data pertumbuhan, hubungan panjang berat dan kelangsungan hidup menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan regresi linear. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan linear positif rendah terhadap pertumbuhan panjang, dengan panjang tertinggi dihasilkan pada perlakuan D (15%) sebesar 1,35 cm, hubungan linear negatif terhadap pertumbuhan berat dan pertumbuhan berat tertinggi dihasilkan pada perlakuan A (3%) sebesar 1,30 gram, kelangsungan hidup tertinggi dihasilkan pada perlakuan B (5%) sebesar 8,67% dan kelangsungan hidup terendah dihasilkan pada perlakuan A (3%) dan D (15%) sebesar 73,33%. Hubungan panjang berat benih ikan patin menghasilkan hubungan linear positif rendah dan pola pertumbuhan ikan bersifat allometrik negatif (pertumbuhan panjang lebih cepat daripada pertumbuhan berat).

Abstract

Fish resource management is closely related to the management of fishing operations and the fishing targets carried out. The development of fishing activities in the world continues to increase and has shown symptoms of overfishing, one of which is in TPI Inego waters. The fishing gear available at the Inego Fish Auction Place (TPI) is gillnet, trap and mini purse seine fishing gear. The aim of this research is to analyze fishing units that comply with the Code of Conduct Responsible for Fisheries (CCRF) at TPI Inego, Bonebolango Regency. The research method used was a descriptive survey method with a quota purposive random sampling technique, from April to June 2021. The results obtained from this research were that the Gill net and Trap (trap) fishing gear were environmentally friendly fishing gear with each score being valuable. 33.20 and 35.70; and the mini purse saine fishing gear with a score of 17.5 is a fishing gear that is not environmentally friendly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji manajemen usaha perikanan tangkap ikan Cakalang dengan metode pole and line di Pelabuhan Belang, Kabupaten Minahasa Tenggara. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Borgo Satu, Kecamatan Belang, Kabupaten Minahasa Tenggara, Provinsi Sulawesi Utara, pada bulan Oktober hingga Desember 2023. Metode wawancara dan observasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan informasi terkait manajemen usaha perikanan pole and line dan dianlisis menggunakan microsoft excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga saluran pemasaran di PPI Belang. Biaya variabel dan biaya tetap pada setiap unit usaha pole and line bervariasi. Rata-rata biaya variabel untuk lima unit usaha pole and line di Pelabuhan Belang adalah Rp 346.470.000, sedangkan rata-rata biaya tetapnya adalah Rp 48.315.000. Penerimaan rata-rata usaha pole and line di Pelabuhan Belang selama tiga bulan mencapai Rp 703.500.000, sedangkan pendapatan rata-rata adalah Rp 307.815.000. Sistem bagi hasil yang diterapkan di setiap unit usaha di Pelabuhan Belang sesuai dengan kesepakatan bersama. Penerimaan hasil penjualan dikurangi dengan biaya total, kemudian dibagi menjadi 50% untuk pemilik dan 50% untuk ABK. Bagian ABK sebesar 50% tersebut akan dibagi kembali sesuai dengan peran/posisi mereka di atas kapal. Nahkoda menerima 30%, KKM menerima 20%, boy-boy menerima 20%, dan pemancing menerima 30%.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui laju pertumbuhan lamun jenis Cymodocea rotundata pada substrat yang berbeda dan organisme yang berasosiasi di Perairan Teluk Tomini Desa Olimoo'o Kecamatan Batudaa Pantai Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai bulan November 2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penandaan (marking method) yang dimodifikasi dengan memberikan tanda menggunakan nilon kabel tie bernomor pada setiap daun lamun yang akan di amati. Pengambilan data dilakukan selama 14 hari. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh untuk laju pertumbuhan lamun jenis Cymodocea rotundata pada substrat yang berbeda yaitu pada substrat pasir yang bercampur patahan karang mati sebesar 0.05 cm/hari sedangkan pada substrat berpasir sebesar 0.16 cm/hari, kemudian organisme yang ditemukan pada saat penelitian yaitu bulu babi (Echinometra mathaei), bintang laut (Archaster typicus), kerang bulu (Anadara gubernaculum), bintang mengular (Macrophiotix belii), Teripang jenis Holothuria atra dan Actinopyga mauritiana. Kata kunci : Pertumbuhan, lamun, Cymodocea rotundata, Organisme asosiasi.
