Abstract

This study aims to determine the relation of length-weight and growth of mangrove crabs (Scylla serrata) in the Mootilango Village, Duhiadaa Sub-district, Pohuwato Regency. This research was conducted by observation for ± 6 months starting from September 2015 until February 2016. The sampling area covers all of Duhiadaa Sub-district mangrove forest with random sampling method. The result of the research shows that the relationship between carapace length and weight of mangrove crab (Scylla serrata) has the equation W = 6,026L2,444 with correlation (R2) = 0,850. Crab population consist of three age group (L1 = 61,66666667cm, L2 = 17,81981982, and L3 = 0,176691729 cm). While the maximum carapace length (L∞) reach 17.204 cm with a growth rate coefficient of 0.2133 per year. Keywords: length; weight; growth; mangrove crab; Scylla serrata

Abstract

Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui identifikasi potensi sumberdaya alam dan sumberdaya manusia dengan strategi pengelolaan pengembangan kawasan wisata pesisir pantai Bintalahe. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan, yaitu Bulan Mei – Juli 2017 Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah metode observasi dan metode wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan analisi SWOT. Potensi sumberdaya alam yang dimiliki oleh pesisir Pantai Bintalahe terdiri dari sumberdaya pantai dan sumberdaya perikanan. Hasil analisis SWOT menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang penting dalam pengembangan kawasan wisata pesisir Bintalahe adalah partisispasi masyarakat dan pengunjung dalam aktivitas ekowisata pantai dan pengelolaan lingkungan pesisir. This research aims to find out the identification of the potential of natural resources and human resources with the management strategy of developing the Bintalahe coastal tourism area. This research was conducted for 3 months, namely May - July 2017 The method used in data collection is the method of observation and interview methods. Data analysis using SWOT analysis. The potential of natural resources owned by the coast of Bintalahe consists of coastal resources and fisheries resources. The results of the SWOT analysis show that an important strategy in developing the Bintalahe coastal tourism area is the participation of the community and visitors in coastal ecotourism activities and the management of the coastal environment. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis kegiatan, persepsi dan partisipasi masyarakat sekitar terhadap kegiatan wisata pantai Botutonuo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November sampai April 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dengan analisis bersifat deskriptif korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa jenis kegiatan wisata di kawasan pantai Botutonuo adalah kegiatan berenang, bersantai, berperahu, memancing, dan menyaksikan matahari terbenam. Persepsi masyarakat terhadap kegiatan wisata pantai di desa Botutonuo cukup baik, ini dikarenakan masyarakat telah memilih pemahaman yang cukup tentang arti tujuan dan manfaat dari kegiatan wisata pantai itu sendiri. Dan tingkat partisipasi masyarakat cukup baik dalam menunjang kegiatan wisata pantai, baik dari sarana prasarana wisata, kualitas lingkungan wisata, ekologi perairan wisata, dan peran pemerintah di kawasan wisata pantai. This study aims to determine the types of activities, perceptions and participation of surrounding communities towards Botutonuo Beach tourism activities. This research was conducted in November to April 2016. This study used a survey method with descriptive correlation analysis. The results showed that the types of tourist activities in the Botutonuo Beach area were swimming, relaxing, boating, fishing and watching the sunset. The public perception of beach tourism activities in the village of Botutonuo is quite good, this is because the community has chosen an adequate understanding of the meaning of the purpose and benefits of the beach tourism activity itself. And the level of community participation is quite good in supporting coastal tourism activities, both from tourism infrastructure, the quality of the tourist environment, ecological tourism waters, and the role of the government in the coastal tourism area. Abstract

Remote sensing satellite imagery data can be used to monitor the condition of the lake, especially the lake area at certain times, especially the extent of Lake Limboto. The purpose of this research is to know the area of Limboto Lake using Landsat-OLI 2015 satellite image data. The research method used is image data processing which includes image cutting, image reinforcement, RGB color composite (R = NIR + SWIR, G = NIR, B = NIR-Red), and the image classification is done by digitizing directly on the screen (on screening digitizing) by considering the presence of water vegetation. Furthermore, data analysis is done by calculating the extent of Lake Limboto on the image of classification results. The results showed that the area of Lake Limboto in 2015 was 2,943 hectares. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of different substrates on egg hatchability and survival of carp (Cyprinus carpio) seeds. This research is an experiment with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment of addition of substrate is A (Fibers), B (Hydrilla), C (Raffia String), D (Control) Treatment. The design used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Furthermore, further tests are carried out using the Least Significant Difference Test (LSD). The results obtained indicate that each treatment has a very significant effect. The highest hatchability was found in the palm substrate treatment of 87.66%, followed by the treatment of the raffia substrate 78.42%, then the control treatment with the percentage of hatching power was 64.78% and the lowest was in the hydrilla substrate treatment with the hatchability percentage of 57.51%. While the highest survival rate of tilapia fish was found in the treatment of palm oil substrate by 73.67%, and the survival rate with the lowest percentage was in the treatment of hydrilla sp. Substrate.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the value of indirect benefits of mangrove forests as a barrier to coastal abrasion and identify losses after abrasion in Limbatihu Village, Paguyaman Pantai District. The research was conducted in February to July 2016. The research method was observation and interviews with the community as respondents regarding the costs of damage and the construction of wave barriers. Observations were also made on the impact of losses due to loss of residence, land damage and damage to housing. The results showed that the indirect benefit value of wave and current barrier was IDR. 255,414,000 / year. The types of ownership losses due to abrasion are loss of residence (averagely IDR. 28,928,000,-) the loss on damage to land is averagely IDR 3,396,250,- and the loss on damage to dwelling place averagely IDR. 2,939,833,-. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine Escherichia coli bacterial content in chunks of yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacores) sold in Central Market Gorontalo. This study uses descriptive analysis method which gives an idea as carefully as possible about an individual, state, symptom, or a particular group. Based on observations of the total MPN Coliform samples A, B and C have MPN coliform exceed ISO standards for quality and food safety requirements of fresh fish, ie 24.00 MPN / g. Test EMBA (Eosin Methylene Blue Agar (EMBA) indicates that the Tuna Yellowfin positive for the bacterium Escherichia coli with colors that are characterized by green metalic. Pieces of tuna sold in the central market town Gorontalo safe to eat at 08:00 am, while at 10:00 am and 12:00 am bacterial content becomes a lot more. The longer the fish are displayed at table without any effort to maintain the quality of the fish, the more the bacteria contained in the fish. Abstract

Penelitian secara khusus bertujuan mengidentifikasi proses akresi dan abrasi sepanjang kawasan pesisir Selatan Provinsi Gorontalo melalui pemetaan dan analisis laju perubahan garis pantai rentang 14 tahun menggunakan teknik sistim informasi geografis pada hasil ekstraksi fitur garis pantai kawasan pesisir Selatan Gorontalo secara spasial temporal menggunakan teknik penginderaan jauh pada dataset citra Landsat tahun 2001 dan tahun 2015. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa panjang garis pantai Selatan Gorontalo tanpa mengikut-sertakan panjang garis pantai pulau-pulau yang terpisah dari daratan berturut-turut adalah sepanjang 444.28 km tahun 2001 dan 435.25 km tahun 2015 sehingga terdapat fenomena pengurangan garis pantai sepanjang 9.03 km dalam rentang 14 tahun. Intensitas proses akresi dan abrasi berjalan secara bersamaan sepanjang rentang 14 tahun di mana pertumbuhan delta muara sungai di Desa Manawa Kecamatan Patilanggio Kabupaten Pohuwato sangat signifikan menyumbang 58.04% secara keseluruhan luas akresi di pesisir selatan Gorontalo yang berlangsung selama 14 tahun. Baik proses akresi maupun abrasi intensitas lokasinya berkorelasi dengan jenis-jenis tutupan/penggunaan lahan. Korelasi positif mutlak (r=1) pada kedua proses terdapat pada jenis tutupan rawa. Proses akresi yang menjadi proses mendominasi kestabilan sepanjang kawasan pesisir Selatan Gorontalo berkorelasi positif berturut-turut dengan jenis tutupan hutan bakau (r=0.94) dan hutan rawa (r=0.91). Adapun proses abrasi berkorelasi positif signifikan dengan jenis tutupan lahan tambak (r=0.90). Informasi yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini mengindikasikan pentingnya monitoring dan penelitian lanjut yang focus dan detil baik dalam hal dinamika spasial-temporal secara lokal kaitannya dengan jenis dan pola perubahan tutupan lahan, maupun terkait kombinasi penggunaan dataset beresolusi lebih tinggi dalam kajian-kajian ke depan yang relevan dalam rangka pengelolaan kawasan pesisir selatan Gorontalo. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui formula cookies terpilih yang disubstitusi dengan tepung udang rebon (Mysis sp.). Penelitian ini terdiri atas 2 tahap yaitu pembuatan tepung udang rebon dan formulasi cookies udang rebon. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini adalah konsentrasi tepung udang rebon 10%, 15% dan 20%. Analisis data yang digunakan untuk pengujian organoleptik yaitu Kruskal Wallis yang dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut Duncan, dan untuk penentuan produk terpilih dilakukan dengan uji Bayes. Hasil uji organoleptik menunjukkan bahwa tepung udang rebon memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap rasa, aroma, tekstur, kenampakan dan warna. Cookies yang disubstitusi tepung udang rebon dengan konsentrasi 10% adalah produk terpilih. This study aims to determine the selected cookie formula substituted with rebon shrimp flour (Mysis sp.). This research consists of 2 stages, namely making shrimp meal flour and formulation of shrimp cookies. The treatment in this study was the concentration of rebon shrimp flour 10%, 15% and 20%. Analysis for organoleptic testing is Kruskal Wallis followed by Duncan's follow-up test, and for the determination of the selected products carried out by the Bayes test. Organoleptic test results showed that rebon shrimp flour had a significant effect on taste, aroma, texture, appearance and color. Cookies substituted with rebon shrimp flour with a concentration of 10% are selected products. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui masa simpan produk stik rumput laut Kappaphaycus alvarezii difortifikasi dengan tepung udang rebon (Mysis sp.) dalam kemasan polipropilen. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2015 sampai dengan Januari 2016. Metode yang digunakan adalah Accelerated Shelf Life Testing (ASLT) melalui model Arrhenius produk disimpan pada suhu (30ºC, 40ºC dan 50ºC). Analisis yang digunakan adalah pengukuran nilai Thiobarbituric Acid (TBA). Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa umur simpan stik udang rebon pada tiga suhu penyimpanan sesuai batas kritis nilai TBA produk pangan oleh FDA (Food Drug Administration) United States berdasarkan reaksi ordo nol, jika disimpan pada suhu 30ºC umur simpannya adalah 138,88 hari, pada suhu 40ºC umur simpannya adalah 133,96 hari, dan pada suhu 50ºC umur simpannya adalah 129,49 hari. This study aims to determine the shelf life of Kappaphaycus alvarezii seaweed stick fortified by rebon shrimp flour (Mysis sp.) in polypropylene packaging. The study was conducted from December 2015 to January 2016. The method used was Accelerated Shelf Life Testing (ASLT) through the Arrhenius model the products were stored at temperatures (30ºC, 40ºC and 50ºC). The analysis used is the measurement of Thiobarbituric Acid (TBA) values. The results of the study concluded that the shelf life of rebon shrimp sticks at three storage temperatures is in accordance with the critical limit of TBA values of food products by the United States FDA (Food Drug Administration) based on zero order reaction, if stored at 30ºC the shelf life is 138.88 days, at 40ºC the shelf life is 133.96 days, and at 50ºC the shelf life is 129.49 days.
