Abstract

Emotion Sampling Device (ESD) is a method used to evaluate the effects of a digital product such as an existing system on a smartphone against the user's emotions. Sometimes when we use a system we unconsciously give an emotion to it. The emotions of each user are divided into some common emotions such as happy, sad, shocked, scared, angry and uninterested. Using this method, the researcher aims to analyze the user's emotion against prototype or KRS Mobile design with KRS case study that exist in University of Muhammadiyah Malang. With a new and different look from KRS that existed previously at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang allows its users to give their own emotions to the prototype. In analyzing emotions, researchers adapted a toeri from the psychological side of Appraisal Theory to obtain data from questionnaires on respondents. The result of this research is the percentage of emotion from each respondent that will be made proving that the prototype is feasible or not to be applied. Keywords: Emotion Sampling Device, KRS Mobile, Prototype, Appraisal Theory

Abstract

Admission website or well-known as PMB in University of Muhammadiyah Malang is used by millions of people every year. The accessibility of the website for mobile platform should be elevated to meet the standard of modern website by taking note of User Experience (UX) aspect. This study aims to evaluate the prototype of admission website for mobile platform using Expressing, Emotions and Experiences (3E) method. 3E is a self-report method allowing both pictorial and verbal reporting. A set of questionnaires in a form of a paper with human body sketch and a box dialog are compiled and distributed to respondents. The result shows that the prototype has 60% positive responds.

Abstract

This research discussed about ERP system success in its post-implementation, therefore, it can only be applied to organisations that have implemented an ERP system. To achieve the research objective, a rigorous strategy for searching the literature was developed. The current study selected supporting ERP references, including theories, research, frameworks, and other verified information resources. The target of population is the ERP end user, specifically, a user who works in a company that has implemented an ERP system.  The sample was composed of various industry types that have implemented ERP systems, and the count of respondents is 60. The result of this research shows the measurement of system quality, service quality, information quality, perceived usefulness, user satisfaction and benefit of ERP system.

Abstract

This paper deals with integer programming for computing alternative scheduling problems of multi-parallel machine operation. The purpose function used is weighted total tardiness. The model formulation comprises the formulation of the objective function and the formulation of the 16 limiting functions. The model was tested using a numerical example consisting of four multi-operation jobs and several machine alternatives in mathematical software Lingo 9. The programming results show that a feasible solution with a weighted total tardiness measure size of eight.

Abstract

The use of the internet for shopping has been developing increasingly rapid. In 2014 the number of internet users shows numbers 88.1 millions of users. Along with the presence of mobile devices that provide convenience for consumers to access the online sales sites, users who access either using cellular phones to dominate with a percentage of the amount of 85%. M-Commerce provides products and services through mobile devices in the enterprise and improvement of influencing signifkan more specific help companies and also customers, in terms of buying and selling activity. The rate of adoption of M-Commerce has been in developing countries are already good enough. This study focuses on the theoretical grounding against the factors that influence the adoption of M-Commerce. The study used a literature review for identify the various factors that affect the utilization of M-Commerce by consumers. This research takes the case studies in Indonesia as one of the developing countries. The results of this research will provide feedback to companies that adopt M-Commerce to formulate a marketing strategy and developing the appropriate application

Abstract

In this research rotary encoder sensor and gyroscope sensor are used as main sensor for moving wheeled soccer robot. Rotary encoder is used to measure the speed and distance of each robot wheel and the gyroscope is used to measure the orientation of the robot, then both of them expressed in cartesian diagrams (x, y, θ). A rotary encoder type magnetic incremental encoder is used in this research and it mounted on each wheel. Inverse kinematic and forward kinematic are used to control the movement of the robot when positioning in the field or making decision when kicking the ball towards the opponent’s side and the other decision. From the test results, robot can move to any direction from the starting position to the end position with a different robot orientation and robot can measure the coordinates of the robot with average error of x = 5.37%, y = 5.2%, and Theta = 0.26%. The robot is also able to move in the direction of the coordinates given with a traveling time of 3-4 seconds.

Abstract

In this paper Descending Viewer Method (DVM) projected for finding and fault tolerant control of stator inter-turn short circuit faults in doubly-fed induction generators based in wind turbine. A process has been developed that allows the way from ostensible controllers designed for strong condition, to vigorous controllers designed for defective condition. Finally value of the rotor resistance estimated & is based on the use of the error between real and probable value of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) in faulty condition, this will perk up the performance of this viewer. Simulation results show the reliability of the proposed Descending Viewer Method (DVM) approach.

Abstract

Beef quality can be examined visually by observing the beef color or texture using human eyes.  This manual method is very simple yet very subjective because of differences in knowledge about fresh or defective beef characteristics and differences in accuracy. Therefore, a system that can automatically classify beef quality whether it is still fresh or already defective is needed. In this research, we developed a system that can classify beef quality based on its color and texture features using Support Vector Machines classifier. Statistical approach and Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) methods were used for the feature extraction process. The total of data used in this research was 480 images, divided into training and testing datasets. The highest accuracy was 97% for cold beef when the system was tested using color features of HSI color space.

Abstract

University of Gadjah Mada (UGM) is the oldest university in Indonesia located in Yogyakarta city, precisely in Bulaksumur region. In the framework of educopolis area, a conducive environment for learning process and responsive to ecology issues, the provision of campus bicycle service as one of the manifestation of the vision is required. In the process of borrowing bicycles in the preceding system exist some problems with the manual paper recording system used by some campus bicycle lending stations. As a response to the ineffectiveness of the previous campus bike lending service process, an Android – based lending application which facilitates services is necessary, concerning the mobility and touchy traits of communication among academic community that is more fluent in using the smartphone nowadays. This application is made by waterfall method using Android Studio software. Users of this application are Students, campus bike administrator, Lecturer and the internal employees of UGM (Civitas academica UGM). This research produced an UGM campus bicycle lending application called GamaRC. This application can facilitate users to make the process of borrowing and refunding the campus bike with barcode scanning facility. GamaRC application is expected to be implemented in the internal environment of UGM campus so that the concept of educopolis and green campus UGM can be fulfilled.

Abstract

The number of visitors the immigration office who made passport or passport renewal every month is very volatile, this problems make the Immigration Office maintain quality of service, thus requiring prediction methods when there will be a surge of visitors so that the quality of service is maintained. The immigration office should have some information to make predictions. Perfect information will make it easier , good predictions and accurate predictions. The exact method is one of the method predict accurately. Its called artificial neural network that a computational method mimics system of neural network biology. Artificial neural networks are formed to solve a particular problem such as pattern recognition or classification because of the learning process. This study uses Heuristic Backpropagation to increase the speed of the training process of neurons in making predictions.
