Abstract

This research tries to give an example for teaching HOTS in accordance with the goverment’s demands on the 2013 curriculum in remediating misconceptions “canoot distinguish between Newton’s First Law and Newton’s Third Laws”. The purpose of this research is to know students’ understanding after learning about misconception remediation. This research used classroom action research methods which will be analyzed qualitatively. Assessment instruments used lesson plans, observation sheets, questionnaire sheets, and evaluation tests. Based on the observation sheet as many as 83,65% students can answer correctly the herding questions submitted by the teacher. This is supported based on the questionnaire sheet as much as 95,18% of students stated that they could understand the herding questions and felt helped by the accompanying questions to distinguish Newton’s First Law and Newton’s Third Laws. From the results of the evaluation test questions, 83,33% of students received grades ≥70. The results of observation sheets, questionnaires, and evaluation questions have met the criteria of success, it can be concluded that herding questions made so that students can learn to think HOTS can be used to remedy “cannot distinguish between Newton’s First Law and Newton’s Third Laws”.

Abstract

This research aims to know (1) the influence of SETS Learning model integrated natural disaster mitigation for the analytical ability and scientific communication ability of students, (2) Student activities when applied SETS learning models. This research uses the Quasi-experiment method. Research conducted at SMK Computer Karanganyar with the subject of research is 18 students class X Akutansi and 30 X Multimedia classes. The instruments used in this research are the analytical skills sheet, analysis of scientific communicational ability sheet, and earthquake mitigation poll in this study, including validation test, reusability test, normality test, homogeneity test, N-Gain test, hypothesis test. Based on test data analysis results, there is a result that there is an influence of the model learning SETS integrated mitigate natural disasters on the analytical skills and scientific communication skills of learners. This is based on the results of the N-gain test with increased analytic ability in the experimental class of 0.31 with a medium category, and the control class with a gain value of 0.25 with a low category. While the enhancement of experimental class scientific communication capabilities was 0.36, and the control class was 0.24. Based on the hypothesis test results using the test paired Sample T-Test There is a comparison of learning skills analysis and the ability of scientific communication in experimental classes and the control class is good. In addition, learning physics using SETS learning models also provide increased student activity in experimental classes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in student physics learning outcomes using comic learning media with learning module media on the recitation method. This research was conducted at Gunung Putri 2 High School in the second semester of the 2017-2018 school year. The population of this study was taken as many as 60 students from a population of 65 students. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling technique. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The results showed that in the experimental group I obtained normality test Lhitung = 6.062 <7.81 = Ltabel and experimental group II obtained Lhitung = 0.70 <7.81 = Ltable at the significance level α = 0.05 and n = 30, then it can be concluded that the two groups are normally distributed. For the homogeneity test, it was found that Fcount = 1.211 <1.87 Ftable, it can be concluded that the variance between the two groups is the same, meaning that the sample comes from a homogeneous population. Hypothesis testing using t-test obtained by t count = 5.01> t table (α = 0.05; db = 58) = 1.643 and t count = 5.01> t table (α = 0.01; db = 58) = 2.66 , then H0 is rejected. Thus, H0 is rejected which states that there is a difference between student physics learning outcomes using comic learning media with learning module media on the recitation method.

Abstract

Research on the development of mobile-based learning media has been conducted to determine its feasibility, the affect on the improvement of students' critical thinking skill, and effectiveness of the media used in leraning. The type of this research is the development that refers to the ADDIE development model, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 5 Purworejo with the subjects of the trial amounting to 29 students. The instruments used in this study are: validation sheets, learners' responses, learning outcome tests, and learning implementation sheets. Based on the research data obtained from the validation of mobile-based media for learning from four validators namely: three expert lecturers and physics teachers had an overall score 3.56, included in the good category and feasible to use in learning. The improvement of critical thinking skills in the implementation phase obtained N-gain 0.61 and included the medium increase category. The effectiveness of the media used in the assessment learning with learners’ responses received an overall contribution of 84% and included good categories, and was shown by the learning implementation sheet with an overall contribution of 95.8% and included in the excellent category. Thus the development of mobile-based learning media in this study is categorized as good and suitable to use as learning media, and also could help to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to find the Effect of Discovery Learning with Problem Based Learning to Result of Study in terms of Student Activity. The method used in this study is the True Experimental Design method. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using Two Path ANAVA, the first hypothesis obtained a value of Fhitung= 12.56 > Ft(α=0.05)= 4.06 ; Ft(α=0.01)= 7.24, while for the second hypothesis Fhitung=26.40 > Ft(α=0.05) = 4.06 ; Ft(α=0.01) = 7.24. Then for the third and fourth hypotheses can be calculated using the t-Dunnet test, the value thitung= 9.05 > tt(α=0.05)= 1.678 ; tt(α=0.01)= 2.411 and thitung= 5.64 > tt(α=0.05)= 1.678 ; tt(α=0.01)= 2.411. So from the results of this study it can be concluded that there is an Effect of Discovery Learning with Problem Based Learning to Result of Study in terms of Student Activity.
