Abstract

Bangkalan’s jasmine is popular  as ‘Ratoh Ebuh  jasmine had been promoted as prime commodity and most produced in Burneh district with 50 acres harvest area and the productivity is 0,34 kg/m2. The increasing of population in Indonesia, become a great market of jasmine commodity, beside that, an export opportunity is also opened for this flower. But the farmer of jasmine cannot supply the market need. The aim of this study is to show the cash flow analysis and financial feasibility study of ‘Ratoh Ebuh’ jasmine’s farm enterprises to influence the farmer to invest in this farming enterprises, that able to rise the benefit of the jasmine farmers. Based on research, the total cost of jasmine farm enterprise is Rp.173.705.525 per acre for 4 years . The total net benefit that able to reach by the farmer is Rp. 241.207.140. This farm enterprise need 1 year, 2 months and 2 weeks to returns the total of capitals. Based on the evaluation of the feasibility level, the project is feasible to operated. The NPV value is Rp. 155.075.617 with the value of OCC is 12%. The IRR value is 77% and the ratio of net B/C is 4,4.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the characteristics of consumers who buy imported apples and analyze the attributes of consumer preferences in buying imported apples.  The study was conducted at the Hokky fruit shop  and the Ampel traditional market  in Surabaya. Data analysis was done with descriptive  and conjoint methods. The analysis showed that the attributes that a consumer preference in buying apple imports in order are  the price, color, texture, size and packaging.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi, tingkat adopsi dan kecenderungan adopsi PTT padi sawah di tingkat petani. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Agustus 2010 sampai Januari 2011 di Desa Labu, Kecamatan Puding Besar, Kabupaten Bangka. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan panduan pertanyaan terstruktur (kuesioner). Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa petani memiliki persepsi positif terhadap inovasi teknologi PTT padi sawah. Petani menganggap bahwa PTT padi sawah menguntungkan, tidak rumit, mudah dicoba, mudah dilihat hasilnya, tidak bertentangkan dengan nilai-nilai tradisi setempat dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Tingkat adopsi inovasi teknologi PTT padi sawah mencapai 48%. Adapun komponen  PTT padi sawah yang telah diadopsi oleh petani; antara lain benih bermutu, pemberian pupuk organik, panen tepat waktu, tanam benih muda, tanam 1-3 bibit per lubang. Kecenderung adopsi menunjukkan bahwa beberapa komponen akan diadopsi pada musim tanam mendatang. Kata Kunci: Persepsi, tingkat adopsi, pengelolaan tanaman terpadu padi sawah.ABSTRAKThe purposes of this study are to determine the perceptions of rice farmers, adoption level and adoption tendency towards integrated crops management (ICM). This research was conducted at Labu, Bangka Regency on August 2010 until January 2011. Data was collected by questionnaires. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that farmers have positive perceptions towards ICM. Farmers believe that ICM is profitable, easily tested, and easy to see the suitable with their needs, low complexity. The adoption level of ICM is 48%. Some components of ICM have been adopted by farmers, such as quality seeds, organic fertilizer, harvest time, planting young seedlings, planting 1- 3 seeds per hole. Adoption tendency indicate that there are posibility an increasing of adoption of  ICM in upcoming planting season.Keywords: Perception, rate of adoption, integrated crops management of paddy

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui posisi bersaing jahe instan produk CV.Intrafood dan strategi bersaing yang dapat direkomendasikan untuk meraihkeberasilannya. Metode dasar yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif.Penentuan lokasi penelitian ditentukan dengan metode purposive, yaitu CV.Intrafood Surakarta. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dataprimer dan data sekunder. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisisPerceptual Mapping. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh informasi bahwa jahe instanproduk CV Intrafood berada pada peringkat ke-dua dari produk empat jahe instanyang diperbandingkan. Atribut yang dapat dijadikan kekuatan utama dalammeningkatkan pemasaran jahe instan produk CV. Intrafood adalah manfaatproduk. Sisi yang paling lemah adalah atribut desain kemasan dan kinerja produkdalam kemasan.Kata Kunci : Jahe Instan, Strategi, Perceptual MappingCOMPETITIVE STRATEGY FORMULATION FOR INSTANT GINGERPRODUCT OF CV. Data used in this study is primary data and secondary data. Methodanalyzed using Perceptual Mapping. From the results of the study concluded thatinstant ginger of CV Intrafood product ranks second of four instant gingerproducts are compared. Attributes that can be used as a major force in improvingproduct marketing instant ginger CV. Intrafood is the benefits of the product. Abstract

Beans (Phaseolus  vulgaris .L.) have been known as an important vegetable for a long time. Although the use of green beans as daily consumption tends to decline, the demand as raw material in agribusiness industry and others tends to increase. This situation open the opportunity for PT. Benih Citra Asia (BCA), a horticulture breeding company, to collaborate with farmers producing  seeds including green beans seed  through contract farming arrangement. This research aims to identify opportunities and benefits of involving in a contract farming arrangement for farmers, factors affecting income, income’s value and farm management cost efficiency. This research was conducted in Wuluhan Sub District, Jember Regency. The data was analyzed by using SWOT analysis, the multiplier linear regression model, income analysis and R/C ratio. Results showed that: (1) contract-farming arrangement located in SWOT white area (ideal). It also indicated that there was strong opportunity and benefit for both parties involved. (2) Seed cost (X2), fertilizer costs (X3), labor costs (X5) and total production (X6) were found as factors influencing farmers’ income with significant level of 95%. (3) The average income per hectare of beans farming in Wuluhan Sub District Jember Regency was Rp. 5.248.213,10. (4) R/C ratio of this farm management was more than one (1,43),  it indicated that the using of cost in green beans farm management was efficient.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the village of West Kwanyar, Kwanyar District, Bangkalan. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance and financial feasibility of agro-industries of prawn cracker. The sampling method in this study use a purposive technique that is implemented in the West Kwanyar Village, Kwanyar District. The analysis used was a qualitative descriptive analysis to determine the performance profile agro prawn crackers, while the agro-industry analysis of the financial feasibility of prawn crackers use quantitative descriptive analysis is the calculation of BEP, R/C ratio and ROI. The technique of data collected by through observation, questionnaires, interviews, literature study and documentation. Based on research result shows that the performance profile of agro-industrial scale prawn crackers is a household that is using the loan capital as initial capital to start a business, yet have a business license so that the market is still in the vicinity of Sub Kwanyar by using two channels, the first manufacturer to distributor and then to the consumer and finally manufacturer to market directly to consumers. Is financially feasible to develop agro-industry that is obtained from the calculation of cost and revenue analysis, analysis of BEP (Break Even Point), R/C Ratio (Revenue Cost Ratio) and ROI (Return on Investment).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini  adalah mengidentifikasi proses keputusan pembelian  dan menganalisis atribut yang dipertimbangkan oleh konsumen dalam pembelian mi instan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Bangkalan. Sampel diambil  dengan metode Cluster Sampling. Data dianalisis dengan metode diskriptif kualitatif dan konjoin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses keputusan pembelian mi terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu pengenalan kebutuhan, pencarian informasi, evaluasi alternatif, proses pembelian, dan perilaku pasca pembelian. Sedangkan kombinasi atribut yang diinginkan oleh konsumen dalam pembelian mi instan secara berurutan adalah kemasan plastik, harga Rp. 1.750, bentuk  bulat, bentuk kemasan kotak, rasa gurih, berukuran  100 gr, dan berwarna kuning.Kata Kunci : Preferensi Konsumen, Mi Instan, KonjoinABSTRAKThe Goals of this research are to identify the process of purchasing decision and analyze the attribute which is considered by consumer in purchasing instant noodle. The Samples are taken with cluster sampling method. The data are analyzed with the qualitative descriptive and conjoint methods. The result shows that the process of noodle purchasing decision consists  several stage. They are the need introduction, the information seach,  the purchasing process, and the behavior after purchasing. While the attribute combination which is wanted by consumer in instant noodle purchasing are the plastic packaging, the price approximately Rp. 1,750, the rounded shape, the square packaging shape, the savory flavor, the size approximately 100 gram, and the yellow color. Abstract

ABSTRAKTerdapat beberapa upaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kedelai, salah upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan pengembangan benih dengan penggunaan varietas unggul. Adopsi varietas-varietas unggul oleh petani adalah salah satu dalah salah satu ukuran keberhasilan program penilaian teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui factor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kecepatan adopsi varietas unggul kedelai serta kelayakannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kabupaten Musi Rawas, Musi Banyuasin dan Lahat pada 2010. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara secara individual kepada petani. Strata petani dikelompokkan kecepatan adopsi varietas unggul 1-2 musim tanam setelah direkomendasikan, 3-4 dan 5-6 musim tanam setelah direkomendasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur petani, pendidikan petani, area tanam kedelai, pengalaman usahatani kedelai, kompatibilitas, triabilitas, observabilitas, cosmopolitan, saluran komunikasi, media komunikasi, intensitas konseling, profitabilitas relative usahatani dan jumlah anggota keluarga yang ikut serta dalam usahatani kedelai memiliki perbedaan signifikan diantara tiga strata. Pengalaman berusahatani kedelai memiliki korelasi signifikan dengan kecepatan petani dalam mengadopsi varietas yang dikembangkan, sementara faktor lainya memiliki korelasi dengan signifikansi yang tinggi. Petani yang mengadopsi varietas-varietas 1-2 musim tanam setelah direkomendasikan, 3-4 dan 5-6 musim tanam  setelah direkomendasikan memperoleh pendapatan usahatani kedelai sebesar Rp 3.742.255/ha; Rp 3.554.105/ha dan Rp 2,240,925/ha dengan nilai R/C 1.58; 1.53 dan 1.39.Kata Kunci: Adopsi, kedelai, kelayakan usahatani ADOPTION ACCELERATION OF ADVANCE VARIETY AND FEASIBILIY FARMING OF SOYBEAN IN SOUTH SUMATERA ABSTRACTTo increase the productivity of soybeans, one of the efforts that can be done is by improving the seeds that using high yielding varieties. Adoption of high yielding varieties by farmers is one measure for success of technology assessment program. This research have aims to find out the factors that influenced to the adoption acceleration of advance variety of soybean and its feasibility. This research was conducted in Musi Rawas, Musi Banyuasin and Lahat Regencies in 2010. Data collected through interviews of individual farmers. Strata farmers are grouped into the speed of adopting high yielding varieties 1-2 planting season after the recommended, 3-4 and 5-6 planting season after the recommended. The results showed that the age of farmers, farmer education, area of soybean planting, soybean farming experience, compatibility, triability, observability, cosmopolitan, complexity, communication channels, communication media, counseling intensity, the relative profitability of farming and family members that joint in soybean farming has a significant difference between the three strata. Soybean farming experience was significantly correlated with the speed of farmers to adopt improved varieties, while other factors were highly significant correlated. Farmers who adopt improved varieties 1-2 planting season after the recommended, 3-4 and 5-6 planting season after the recommended get soybean farm incomes as follow Rp 3.742.255/ha; Rp 3.554.105/ha and Rp 2,240,925/ha with R/C 1.58; 1.53 and 1.39.Key words: Adoption, soybean, farming feasibility

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat sejauhmana efek usahatani lahan surutan terhadap kesejahteraan petani dan keluarganya. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 63 responden yakni petani penyewa lahan surutan Bendungan Serbaguna Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri dengan metode wawancara dengan menggunakan questioner dan diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD) serta wawancara dengan pejabat Divisi IV PT Jasa Tirta.Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa (a) usahatani lahan surutan memberikan kontribusi terhadap pendapatan keluarga petani  sebesar 25,54% dari total pendapatan selama satu tahun. Dimana prosentase ini menunjukkan bahwa usahatani lahan surutan memberikan  kontribusi lebih besar dibandingkan pendapatan petani dari usahatani lahan non surutan. Sebagian besar pendapatan yang diperoleh dari usahatani lahan surutan berasal dari tanaman jagung karena sebagian besar petani penyewa menanam lahan surutan dengan tanaman jagung disamping tanaman lain seperti padi atau kedelai; (b) usahatani lahan surutan mampu memberi kontribusi terhadap pengeluaran pangan keluarga petani sebesar 28,11% dari keseluruhan pengeluaran pangan keluarga selama satu musim tanam. Kontribusi usahatani di lahan surutan ini lebih besar dibandingkan pemenuhan pangan yang bersumber pada usahatani non surutan yang hanya sebesar 26,09%.

Abstract

The women role in farm activity of agroindustry development is very close with their perception and correlating with motivation of them to create attitude such as cognitive, affective, and conative.  Aims of this research were to observe the perception, motivation, and attitude of the women who work in food agroindustry in Bantul Regency.  The method of this research was descriptive analytical by applying survey. Sample of area was taken with different level including 4 subdistricts  and  4 villages as the main centre of food agroindustry  and that was taken 60 households using random, while the analysis method were used in this research were scoring and table analysis. The results showed  that perception of women farmers to process of food agroindustry is positive especially  on increasing of  family income  by 61 %, so  that result gave them motivation to increase income, basic need, safety by 80,84 %. The conclusion of this results was attitude of the women farmers based on cognitive, affective, and conative categories as high more than 90%, this means a good performasnce . It is suggested that government should support them with stimulants and training for improving farmers welfare.
