Abstract

This research aimed to assessing whether epistemological beliefs as measured by belief about knowledge and belief about learning predicted of the constructivist conception of teaching and learning, assessing whether epistemological beliefs as measured by belief about knowledge and belief about learning predicted of the traditional conception of teaching and learning. The population in this research consists of students of Tarbiyah Department of STAIN Kudus, Central Java. The sample was as many as study 242 students, taken through simple random sampling method. The data collection techniques used in this research was questionnaire in the form of scales and checklists. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Models (SEM). The research resulted that epistemological beliefs as measured by belief about learning was negatively related on the constructivist conception of teaching and learning and) epistemological beliefs as measured by belief about knowledge was positively related on the traditional conception of teaching and learning.

Abstract

This research used ethnographic method on sea tribe, a sub-culture of Indonesian society commonly known by anthropologists with the term of the Bajo Tribe. The educational phenomenon of Bajo society has uniqueness, besides acknowledging that they only know, believe, and guided by the Islamic system, but in carrying out the main rituals of Islamic teachings are not visible, so is their awareness to go to higher education is very difficult to realize in the understanding of society. For the People of Orang Bajo, education should not be lost from a value taught from generation to generation, and should not be lost from the life of their grandchildren. While formal education can be done enough for primary school (SD) only. Even if they can continue their education to a higher level, they are simply maintaining their values or education based on their local cultural wisdom. There are various findings of local wisdom that became the education identity of Bajo are Kampoh or togetherness in village, Lukka maintain the tradition of marriage, and Alla Tala have confidence in the power of God.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to to understand the relevance of Sufism with Islamic education and its application as a method and approach of moral-spiritual education Islamic college through Heart Enlightenment Program in Islamic Boarding of UMI Makassar Labbakkang. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive with phenomenological approach, the methods of collecting the data were observation, interview and study documents. Research findings showed that Islamic education emphasizes on attainment of esoteric quality as a part of human dimension. So that, one of effective methods wich is expected to support the achievement of this aim is sufistic approach. In this case, Sufistic education conducts pedagogical construction through method of takhalli, tahalli and tajalli.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the response of Rimbo people and the surrounding community about the establishment of Bukit Duabelas National Park. The study also estimates the value of tourism and culture among domestic tourists to the object using the Travel Cost Method (TCM). The results obtained by consumer surplus (CS) as much as US $ 2.45 per visitor per visit. The result of CS value of each visitor shows the tourism services in the region does not provide high benefits to tourists. Bukit Duabelas National Park can be a domestic and international eco-cultural tourism destination and welfare improvement. It takes education awareness of tourism and  traditional culture of Rimbo people and the surrounding community to achieve it.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the values developed in the development of the child’s personality character, describe the implementation of the development of children’s personality traits, the strategy of developing the personality character of children, the constraints in the implementation of the development of child personality character in the Integrated Islamic School of Magelang District 2015. With a qualitative approach using purposive sampling technique. The results pointed. PAUD Integrated Aisyiyah Insan Robbani Muntilan and Islamic Early Childhood Ibnu Hadjar refers to the provisions of the implementation of Character Education established by the Ministry of National Education, early childhood education developed values of personality traits based on the value determined by the school. Implementation of character formation is done as an effort to form the character of child’s personality. Character development strategy is done by the method of playing while singing, exemplary methods, methods of advice, methods of supervision and method of habituation. Constraints, especially parents support factors related to school policy in the development of children’s personality traits.

Abstract

This study aims to know about muthmainnah teachers according to the thought of kyai in Islamic Boarding School Wali Songo, Ngabar, Ponorogo East Java. This research used qualitative method with three sample of kyai Pondok Pesantren Wali Songo Ngabar Ponorogo. The results of this study showed that Guru muthmainnah is a noble position to be had when teachers apply the aspects of takhalli, tahalli, which will ultimately gain enlightenment of soul, thought and behavior, can be achieved by walking the spiritual-divine paths such as; al-musyarathah, almuraqabah, al-muhasabah, and al-mujahadah.

Abstract

This study aimed to get an overview of strategies to develop women’s participation in non-formal education through the Community Learning Center (Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat-PKBM) and the effectiveness of their participation in family and community life. Explorative study used a qualitative approach to obtain field data as well as the clarity of the object that is the focus of the study. The results showed that the effectiveness of women’s participation in non-formal education in the PKBM is done through group learning with participatory approaches. The result gives a positive change towards the formation of attitudes and behaviors such as the ability to manage time for activities, foster self-confidence and can provide income.

Abstract

This research was to describe the level of islamic work ethos, the level of the qualityservice culture of Islamic education, and the transformation of the lecturers’ islamic work ethos towards the quality-service culture of Islamic education for the students inUHAMKA. The method used was qualitative with correlation and regression approaches. There were 205 people who became the population and 77 lecturers of FKIP (Faculty of Teaching and Education) UHAMKA who became the samples of the reseach. The Likert-scale questionnaire with five options was used for the instrument of the data collection. The results of the research showed: (1) the lecturers’ islamic work ethos belonged to high and satisfying category, (2) the quality-service culture was high and satisfying, and (3) there was a 12.48% positive and significant transformation of the lecturers’ Islamic work ethos towards the quality-service culture of islamic education for the students. The higher Islamic work ethos will lead to the higher transformation of the quality-service culture. The quality-service culture of Islamic education can be improved through Islamic work ethos. A high-quality service of the lecturers gives satisfaction to the students more than they expect.

Abstract

This study aims to describe in general the realization of family functions, and the realization of family functions in perspective Q.S. Luqman: 13 s.d. 19 in children’s education. The data were collected using questionnaires and interviews to a number of IAIN Salatiga students, and library techniques, data retrieval techniques from various written sources in the context of child education that support data analysis. The results of this study showed that realization of family function in general and in perspective Q.S. Luqman: 13 s.d. 19 in childhood education has been going pretty well, as far as the internal affairs of the student families who are responding in this study. But, when it comes to surrounding communities outside the student family, not all families are fully functioning properly.

Abstract

Theoretically, multicultural education is a concept of education that provides equal opportunity regardless of gender, class, ethnic, racial, religious, and cultural background of learners. The learning model is carried out by stages: self-exploration studies, exploratory presentation, peer group analysis, expert opinion, and reflection. This study aims to improve the competence of mastery of IPS educational materials through multicultural learning model. The research findings show that the implementation of multicultural learning model can improve the competence of mastery of IPS Education materials for PGMI students at IAIN Salatiga. This is evidenced in the average class pre cycle activity of 60.25; Cycle I of 77.87 and in the second cycle of 82.22. Based on the analysis it is concluded that the implication of multicultural learning model can significantly improve student competence.
