Abstract

This research used ethnographic method on sea tribe, a sub-culture of Indonesian society commonly known by anthropologists with the term of the Bajo Tribe. The educational phenomenon of Bajo society has uniqueness, besides acknowledging that they only know, believe, and guided by the Islamic system, but in carrying out the main rituals of Islamic teachings are not visible, so is their awareness to go to higher education is very difficult to realize in the understanding of society. For the People of Orang Bajo, education should not be lost from a value taught from generation to generation, and should not be lost from the life of their grandchildren. While formal education can be done enough for primary school (SD) only. Even if they can continue their education to a higher level, they are simply maintaining their values or education based on their local cultural wisdom. There are various findings of local wisdom that became the education identity of Bajo are Kampoh or togetherness in village, Lukka maintain the tradition of marriage, and Alla Tala have confidence in the power of God.

Abstract

Pasar global menjadikan bisnis Stasiun Pengisian Bahan Bakar Umum (SPBU) semakin marak dan bersaing karena semakin banyak perusahaan pengisian bahan bakar dari luar negeri yang masuk dan beroperasi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh iklan, kualitas pelayanan dan fasilitas terhadap keputusan pembelian BBM DI SPBU COCO 51.601.108 Mastrip Surabaya. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 60 responden dengan metode accidental sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel iklan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian dengan nilai sebesar 0,550. Kualitas pelayanan dan fasilitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian dengan nilai masing-masing sebesar 0,027 dan 0,002. Dan secara simultan ketiga variabel bebasnya berpengaruh positif dan signifikan dengan nilai 0,0005 terhadap keputusan pembelian yang artinya bahwa semakin baik iklan, kualitas pelayanan dan fasilitas maka keputusan pembelian akan semakin meningkat. Abstract

Covid-19, a global pandemic, demands active roles from everyone, including from educational institution. Department of Urban dan Regional Planning of University of Hasanuddin supports the Government and the society by organizing two community service activities as part of three pillars of higher education. The first activity is to advocate and raise public awareness on Covid-19 through educative, persuasive and animative approaches in the form of writings, photos, posters and videos posted via youtube and Instagram on April and May 2020 targeting minimal 1,000 viewers. The second activity is to disseminate concept of smart, healthy and resilient city as a planning effort anticipating for future pandemics through scientific, systemic, and collaborative approaches in the form of a virtual national seminar held on 24 September 2020 targeting minimal 300 participants. This paper aimed to describe the objectives, processes and results of these two activities as well as to enlighten the main ideas of the concept presented in second activity. Up to 10 October 2020, it was noted that a total of 4,037 reviewers have visited the social medias used in the first activity. A total of 1,008 requests entered the registration email of the organizer during 7 days prior to the second activity. A total of 584 participants from various universities, government agencies and planning/architectural consultants attended the second activity. The numbers of viewers and participations in both activities that exceeded the initial targets shows an optimum active role of the department in supporting the Government and the society based on to its field and capacity.

Abstract

Perumnas Manggala or known as Perumnas Antang Block 10 is one of the housing and settlement areas that are prone to flooding. The purpose of this community service activity is to socialize flood disaster management by first identifying the characteristics of the causes of flooding and developing a concept with the community regarding flood management in residential areas. Methods of implementing community service. The data collection techniques are observation, documentation, and interviews, while the data analysis techniques are descriptive qualitative, and spatial analysis. The data collected is used in drafting the concept of flood management in the form of socialization and discussions with the community, community leaders, and the academic community. The results of service activities are in the form of the concept of flood management through preventive efforts to minimize flood disasters at Perumnas Antang Block 10, namely making infiltration wells, planting vegetation, managing drainage and waste systems. Adaptive and curative efforts are in the form of developing disaster response groups as preparation management in dealing with disasters that routinely occur every year. The results of the socialization show a significant level of change by the community where the level of interest in community participation and understanding of the concept of flood management increases. The community actively participates in discussions and expresses its willingness to participate in disaster mitigation activities. The discussion also showed that the community had high hopes for government assistance, both morally and materially, as well as disaster response training.

Abstract

Street vendors are one type of informal sector work that is very vulnerable to being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. It also felt by street vendors in the Makassar Losari Beach Pavilion area. The condition of street vendors on the one hand is in contact with the lower middle class and has a relatively small business scale. Besides, organized and planned PKL activities will be able to adapt to pandemic conditions and have a positive impact on the city's local economy and support the government in providing employment. This service activity aims to present ideas for the concept of structuring street vendors that are resilient to pandemics and educating traders about the application of health protocols in the work environment of street vendors. Data collection techniques are observation, documentation, interviews, through a stakeholder approach. The data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative analysis. The data collected is used in arrange the concept of structuring street vendors that are resilient to pandemics, sharing, and transferring knowledge to street vendors in the form of Focus Group Discussions (FGD) accompanied by video playback of planning concept arrangements and education on the application of health protocols. The results of service activities in the form of the concept of structuring street vendors include the arrangement of stalls, tables and chairs, repair of clean water networks, provision of hand washing facilities, trash cans, garbage containers, and waste disposal schemes, as well as socializing the importance of implementing health protocols for traders and visitors.

Abstract

Budidaya udang vaname meskipun mempunyai nilai ekonomis yang tinggi namun tidak terlepasresiko dan ketidakpastian.Sumber resiko dan ketidak pastian dalam usaha perikanan diantaranya fluktuasi hasil produksi, fluktuasi harga jual, biaya produksi yang tinggi, produktifitas yang rendah, kondisi alam yang tidak dapat diprediksi dan lain sebagainya yang akan mempengaruhi hasil pendapatan. Tujuan penelitian yaitu menganalisis besarnya pendapatan dan risiko usaha budidaya udang vaname di Desa Glagah, Kecamatan Glagah, Kabupaten Lamongan. Metode analisis pertama yang digunakan adalah analisis pendapatan. Metode analisis yang kedua yaitu analisis resiko menggunakan ukuran ragam atau simpangan baku dan koefisien variasi (CV).Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata total biaya produksi usaha budidaya udang vaname dalam satu siklus produksi yaitu sebesar Rp14.696.687/Ha dan rata-rata penerimaan sebesar Rp 44.675.705/Ha sehingga keuntungan yang diperoleh pembudidaya sebesar Rp 29.979.018/Ha. Besarnya keuntungan tersebut diperoleh dari perkalian harga jual udang dan hasil produksi udang vaname, dimana hasil produksi udang vaname yaitu rata-rata 843,24 Kg/Ha dan harga jual Rp 52.500. Hasil analisis resiko produksi, resiko harga dan resiko pendapatan berturut- turut nilai koefisien variasinya yaitu 0,13 ; 0,02 ; dan 0,24. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa besarnya risiko yang dihadapai pembudidaya udang vaname di Desa Glagah rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran penalaran formal dan pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik serta hubungan antara keduanya. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasi tunggal. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 400 orang. Sampel berjumlah 210 orang yang dipilih dengan teknik purporsionate random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penalaran formal peserta didik berada pada level sedang dan pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik berada pada level sedang. Kedua variabel memiliki kekuatan hubungan yang berlevel sedang, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi r = 0,441. Hasil pengujian signifikansi menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung>ttabel, yaitu 7,086>1,971, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa penalaran formal memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan pemahaman konsep peserta didik.

Abstract

Udang vannamei merupakan salah satu komoditas utama dalam usaha budidaya tambak, namun masih banyak berbagai permasalahan yang dihadapi petambak dalam usaha pengembangan budidaya udang vannamei. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menegetahui upaya dan prioritas strategi yang dapat diterapkan dalam mengembangkan usaha udang vannamei di Desa Sidokumpul, Kecamatan Lamongan, Kabupaten Lamongan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peluang utama dalam  mengembangkan  usaha udang vanname adalah lingkungan yang aman dan  terkendali. Sedangkan  ancaman  yang  paling besar yaitu harga udang vanname dari daerah lain yang lebih murah. Prioritas strategi yang dapat diterapkan dalam upaya mengembangkan usaha budidaya udang vanname di Kabupaten Lamongan  yaitu  mempertahankan  kualitas, promosi  perikanan,  jaringan  distribusi udang vanname,  kemitraan,  dan penanaman  modal  swasta  untuk  menembus  pasar  ekspor;  optimalisasi pemberdayaan,  peningkatan  jumlah  unit-unit  pembenihan  (Unit pembenihan Rakyat) dan perbaikan sarana dan prasarana lokasi budidaya serta  meningkatkan  kualitas  sumber  daya  petani  secara  teknis,  moral  dan spiritual melalui kegiatan pembinaan untuk memaksimalkan produksi dan daya saing udang vanname.

Abstract

One of the problems that often occurs in densely populated settlements is fire disasters which can cause material losses and also cause casualties. Dense settlements in Pannampu Village areas that have a high frequency of fire occurrences. The purpose of this community service activity is to disseminate community preparedness and direct fire prevention in dense residential areas. The partner areas in RW 04 Pannampu Village, Tallo District, Makassar City. Data collection techniques are observation, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis techniques are descriptive qualitative analysis, quantitative and spatial analysis. The data collected is used in the preparation of directives in the form of socialization and discussions with the community, community leaders and the academic community. The results of service activities produce 5 factors that affect the level of fire vulnerability in a settlement, namely building density, building materials, road width, affordability of water sources and fire stations. There are also 6 scenarios of evacuation routes from 4 points of vulnerable locations to Temporary Evacuation Places (TES), and 4 fire extinguishers that can be used as a basis for consideration in choosing the right evacuation route. Adaptive and curative efforts are in the form of developing disaster response groups as preparation management in dealing with fire disasters. The socialization results showed a significant level of change by the community where the level of interest in community participation and understanding of the concept of handling fire hazards increased. Before the activity was carried out, the level of understanding of the concept of fire disaster management/mitigation was 35.5%, but after the socialization activity was carried out it increased to 75.8%. Thus there is an increase in public understanding of 40.3%. This shows that the output of the socialization of community preparedness for fire disasters was successful.

Abstract

This paper is part of a Community Service Program aimed to propose a comcept of design of TPS 3R (a Temporary Disposal Facility based on Reduce-Reuse-Recycle concept) that is smart, compact and environmentally friendly for the local people and the waste management/authority of Barrang Lompo Island, Makassar City. The program took about 6 months period, from March to August 2022. The design concept was presented descriptively accompanied with map and layout illustration and has been submitted to the local management/authority on 31 August 2022. The pre- and post-test based on the perspective of 30 spatial planners showed the majority of respondents (87.4%) considered the existing TPS is far from the ideal 5 criteria considered in program. In contrary, the proposed design was highly respected especially the 5th aspect, i.e., how the design encourages the local to creatively produce reused goods e.g., souvenirs. Included in this program was a waste sorting campaign infront of 100 local people invited on 30 July 2022 at 13.00-15.00 PM local time that took place in the front yard of Marine Station of of Unhas.
