Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine and describe the influence model of experiential learning to creative poetry writing ability based on personal experience of the class student student of Pembina Palembang. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. Samples are 39 students of VII.1 class as an experimental class  and VII. 4 class which consist of 34 students as the control class. Technique for collecting used in this study was the written test. The results of  study was there is significant influence of experiential learning method toward students ability in writing creative poetry based on personal experience of seventh grade students of SMP Pembina Palembang", The result of t-tests showed that the value of t-obtained was higher than t-table (2.95 higher than 1.66) Keywords: Learning, model of experiential learning, writing poetry, personal experience

Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to find the increasing of the process and the result student’s short story writing through metacognitive strategy in language and Indonesia Literature Study Programme FKIP-PGRI University of Palembang. This research uses action research method which is done through planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted through three cycles, from the result of learning process is found that students have been able to make a planning, monitoring, evaluation and revising according to metacognitive strategy cycle, during their time in writing short story task. This research find out that there had been an increased from the short story writing result in every of its cycle. On the first cycle, there are 8 (eight) students who accomplished the task, with average score is in 64,16. On the second cycle, it showed a significant increased, there were 29 (twenty nine) students who accomplished and 9 (nine) students have not accomplished the task, with average score is ini 72, 18. And the third cycle, there were 38 (thirty eight) students who accomplished the task in the short story writing learning process with average score was in 77,05. Keywords: Writing Ability; Short Story; Metocignitive Strategy.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam novel Pak Guru Karya Awang Surya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan psikologis dan sosiologis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis konten. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dalam novel Pak Guru Karya Awang Surya terdapat 210ocial agama dan 210ocial moral yang mencangkup hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan dan hubungan manusia dengan 210ocial manusia serta 210ocial 210ocial yang mencangkup masalah kriminilitas, masalah lingkup hidup dan masalah kemiskinan yang berimplikasi terhadap nilai-nilai pendidikan. Kata Kunci : Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan , Psikologis, dan Sosiologis.

Abstract

AbstrakMelakukan komunikasi matematika (mathematical communication), baik secara lisan maupun tulisan, merupakan salah satu pencapaian kompetensi yang harus dicapai dalam pembelajaran matematika.  Pada makalah ini akan dibahas bagaimanakah sesungguhnya bentuk hubungan antara komunikasi dan matematika. Hasil studi literatur menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi menunjang proses pemahaman matematika, sebaliknya matematika juga dapat menjadi alat komunikasi yang efektif.  Selain itu perlu diciptakan suatu kondisi atau strategi agar komunikasi matematika dapat dicapai sehingga mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran matematika.Kata-kata kunci: komunikasi, matematika, pembelajaran matematika

Abstract

AbstrakSelama ini muncul anggapan bahwa guru hanya sekadar pelaksanakurikulum, maka tingkat kreatifitas dan inovasi guru dalam merekayasapembelajaran sangat lemah. Guru tidak terpacu untuk melakukan berbagai pembaruan. Mengajar dianggapnya bukan sebagai pekerjaan profesional, tetapi sebagai tugas rutin atau tugas keseharian. Pada makalah ini akan dikaji kembali bagaimanakah peran guru dalam rangka implementasi kurikulum 2013. Melalui kajian pustaka akan ditinjau karakteristik dari kurikulum 2013 dan juga tugas pokok dan fungsi guru yang professional. Selanjutnya juga akan diperlihatkan contoh peran guru dalam pembelajaran yang mengimplementasikan kurikulum 2013, khususnya untuk tingkat Sekolah Mengeah pertama (SMP), dimana student centered bukan berarti guru tidak punya peran sama sekali dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Dengan demikian diharapkan artikel ini akan memberikan masukan bagi guru dan juga tenaga kependidikan dalam rangka mempersiapkan implementasikurikulum 2013 pada Tahun Ajaran baru yang akan datang.Kata kunci: Peran guru, Kurikulum 2013

Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper aims to provide a description representations the aspects of language and culture in education by examining several theories and expert opinions. The method used in this paper is a qualitative descriptive method, which means to understand a phenomenon in the social context naturally with the advanced process of interaction between researchers indepth communication with the phenomenon to be studied through the surgical literature. From the discussion, it can be synthesized that language is a vehicle and a cultural product. Language reflects the culture of the doers or users. Because it is a language in addition to functioning as a means of communication, language is also an implementation of culture in education Cultural formed values and norms indirectly in form of language that be realized in the educational process. When it is related with education in Indonesia, the language has a central role in the development of intellectual, social, and emotional learners and it works as supporting of success instudying a field of science. Key Words: Language, Culture, and Education

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed at identifying the strategic management of the principal in attracting prospective learners in Islamic Intergrity Secondary School Ar-Ridho Palembang, how the implementation in attracting prospective students in Islamic Intergrity Secondary School ArRidho Palembang, Evaluation and follow-up of principal strategy in attracting candidate students in Islamic Intergrity Secondary School Ar-Ridho Palembang, This research was qualitative. The subjects of this research were principal, committee of Students’ Admission and some parents. The instruments were interviews and observations. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman model. The result of the research was that during the two years of Students’ Admission implementation, the headmaster and Students’ Admission committee experienced difficulties in cooperation with the foundation, especially on Students’ Admission funds. Technically all the preparations include the formation of the committee, the determination of activity, budget, schedule, determining the location of the activity, the target of the activity, and the determination of the material in the activity already programmed. The media used to remember the minimal cost is limited based information from parents whose children are learning in Secondary School Ar-Ridho Palembang Ar-Ridho. Evaluation was done in the closing meeting of Students’ Admission, the things are evaluated include the match between the number of learners with the target capacity, the weaknesses was on the method or committee. Abstract

AbstractThis paper discusses our experience and challenges in teaching advanced undergraduate Real Analysis classes for Mathematics Education students at University of PGRI (Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia) Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. We observe that the syllabus contains topics with a high level of difficulty for the students who are specialized in education and intend to teach mathematics at the secondary level. The conventional lecturing method is mainly implemented during the class, with some possible variationsof the method, including the Texas method (also known as Moore’s method) and the small group guided discovery method. In particular, the latter method has been implemented successfully for a Real Analysis class at Darmouth College, New Hampshire by Dumitras¸cu in 2006. Although it is a real challenge to apply a specific teaching method that will be able to accommodate a large number of students, the existing teaching activities can still be improved and a more effective method could be implemented in the future. Furthermore, the curriculum contents should be adapted for an audience in mathematics education to equip them for their future career as mathematics teachers. Any constructive suggestions are welcome for the improvement of our mathematicseducation system at the university as well as in the national scale.

Abstract

AbstrakUntuk Membantu siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar tidak terlepas dari bahan ajar contonya : RPP, buku siswa, LKS, alat peraga dan lain-lain. Pada artikel ini bahan ajar yang akan digunakan adalah LKS (Lembar kerja siswa). Pada tujuan pembelajaran matematika yang tertuang dalam kurikulum tersebut disebutkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika salah satunya bertujuan agar siswa memiliki kemampuan penalaran pada pola dan sifat menggabungkan penalaran dan pembuktian matematika sebagai elemen terkait dalam berpikir kritis sehingga kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat diperlukan untuk siswa. Untuk membantu siswa dalam berpikir kritis maka akan dibuat bahan ajar yang berbasis inquiry. Inquiry merupakan metode pembelajaran yang terpusat pada siswa yang mana siswa melakukan penyelidikan dan penemuan dalam pembelajaran yang dapat membuat pola pikir kritis siswa berkembang dan siswa aktif.Kata kunci : Bahan ajar, Berpikir kritis, Inquiry, LKS.

Abstract

AbstrakMantra merupakan salah satu sastra lisan yang masih ada dan dipergunakan oleh masyarakat. Penulis merasa perlu mengangkat keberadaan mantra karena merupakan warisan leluhur yang bukan tidak mungkin akan punah bila tidak dilestarikan. Mantra adalah salah satu jenis puisi melayu lama yang dianggap mengandung kekuatan gaib, masalah dalam penelitian ini bagaimana  struktur dan makna mantra masyarakat Desa Petar Luar Kecamatan Sungai Rotan Kabupaten Muara Enim, tujuan dalam penelitiana ini bagaimana mengetahui dan mendeskrifsikan struktur dan makna mantra masyarakat Desa Petar Luar Kecamatan Sungai Rotan Kabupaten Muara Enim , manfaat dalam penelitian ini bagi peneliti lain, hasil penelitian ini diharapkan agar peneliti lanjutan dapat memanfaatkan penelitian ini, bagi pembaca, dapat memberikan tambahan pengetahuan atau informasi bagi para peminat sastra khususnya menganalisis struktur dan isi mantra, bagi pengajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia, diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan pembelajaran dan informasi, hasil penelitian struktur dan makna mantra yang ada di Desa Petar Luar Kecamatan Sungai Rotan Kabupaten Muara Enim berkaitan dengan gaya bahasa, dan bunyi bahasa,. Pembahasan berdasarkan  struktur dan makna mantra masyarakat  Desa Petar Luar Kecamatan Sungai Rotan Kabupaten Muara Enim struktur mantra meliputi gaya bahasa dan bunyi bahasa. Gaya bahasa yang digunakan dalam penelitian  ini adalah gaya bahasa repetisi, gaya bahasa personifikasi, gaya bahasa pararelisme. Bunyi bahasa meliputi bunyi bahasa asonansi, bunyi bahasa konsonan, bunyi bahasa ephoni, dan bunyi bahasa anomatope. Sedangkan isi berkaitan dengan teknik persuasi meliputi teknik persuasi sugesti, teknik persuasi perintah, teknik persuasi permintaan, teknik persuasi proyeksi, dan teknik persuasi identifikasi.  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, Metode deskriptif adalah metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data dengan cara mendeskrifsikan atau menggambarkan data yang telah terkumpul, teknik pengumpulan data teknik observasi, teknik wawancara, teknik pencatatan. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah anggota masyarakat Desa Petar Luar yang mewarisi sastra lisan dari orang tuanya. Kata Kunci : Mantra, sastra lisan.
