Abstract

This study is motivated by the lack of the results of class tenth students studying biology at SMAN I Batang Kapas. The low of result student learning is caused less active of student in the learning process, the teachers do not use variations of strategies in learning and learning is centered on the teacher. One way that teachers can apply to solve the problem is the type of active learning strategy everyone is a teacher here that accompanied by a crossword puzzle. This study is aims to determine the effect of the application of the type of active learning strategies everyone is a teacher here that accompanied by crossword puzzles on result of learning biology class tenth at SMAN I Batang Kapas Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. This research is an experimental studies which using Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design. The population is all of class tenth at SMAN I Batang Kapas that enrolled in the school year 2013/2014. The results of data analysis is obtained that the result of experiment class are 77.08, the result of control class are 67.48 while tcount is 3.79 and ttable is 1.67. This means that t count> ttable so the hypothesis is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the type of active learning strategies everyone is a teacher here that accompanied by crossword puzzles can improve the result of learning students of class tenth at SMAN I Batang Kapas Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan.

Abstract

Some teachers of subjects not use various learning models, on the other hand the teacher has not been using a variety of learning media in schools. Students tend to be a lot of silence and fear of being wrong in an opinion or give an answer to the material being taught. Then the teacher does not know the level of student understanding. One alternative to overcome the problems that happen is to implement cooperative learning model number that accompanied the Head Together media power point. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of cooperative learning model NHT with power point slides on learning outcomes of students of class XI MAN Salido South Coastal District of the school year 2014/2015. The research was conducted in the first three feet of the school year 2014/2015. This study is a design experiment with randomized control group posttest-only design. The study population was all students enrolled in the class XI first semester of 2014/2015 academic year spread over 3 classes. With purposive sampling, then the sample were students of class XI IPA2 as a class experiment using learning models NHT type of media with power point and class XI IPA3 as the control class using lecture and question and answer. From the results of experimental studies have shown that the class average (76.70) is higher when compared to the control class (70.10). From the analysis of the data obtained t is 1.89 and price TTable is 1.67. Thus t count> t table which means the research hypothesis H1 is accepted at 95% confidence level (α = 0.05) that there is a positive effect of the application of cooperative learning model number head together with media power point.

Abstract

Learning biology at SMAN 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam is monotonous. This condition resulted to the students’ science learning outcomes are low. One of the reason is the teacher only uses the lecture method during the learning process, so that the students often feel bored because just listening to the explanation from the teacher. To overcome this problem, it is necessary better to apply one way to keep students active and motivated in learning from an active learning strategy into group to group. This research is aimed to determine the effect of the application of active learning strategies with group to group towards learning biology outcomes at XI class of SMAN 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam. This research is an experimental research by using a randomized study design with Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this research is all students at XI class of SMAN 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam In academic year 2013/2014. The sampling used is purposive sampling technique, so that XI class IPA4 becomes experimental class and XI class IPA2 as control class. The data in this research is the result of student learning outcomes which includes cognitive, and affective. Data on cognitive obtained by performing final tests while the affective domain is done by non test is fill out the observation. The data is analyzed by using t-test. Based on the results of the final test, the average value obtained cognitive experimental class is 76.11 higher than the control class is 66.44. By t test, t = 4.15 is obtained and table = 1.67. Thus t count> t table, so the hypothesis is accepted. The average value of the affective domain experimental class that 76.47 is higher than the control class is 58.89. By t test, t = 4.15 is obtained and table = 1.67. Thus t count> t table, so the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

Jasmine is regarded as an ornamental plant that is widely used in industry, especially in the manufacture of jasmine oil, and its worth is about US$ 5000/liter. However, it takes such a long time for Jasmine to produce flowers. In order to accelerate the Jasmine efflorescence process, paclobutrazol was given. This research was about the Response of White Jasmine (Jasminum sambac L. W. Ait.) on Paclobutrazol. This research was conducted from May to June 2014 in plantation house of STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat and in the Physiology of Plants Laboratory of Biology Department of FMIPA UNP Padang. This research was intended to see the responses given by white jasmine (Jasminum sambac L. W. Ait.) on Paclobutrazol. This research was conducted by using complete random design consisting of 6 treatments and 4 repetitions. The result of the research indicated that paclobutrazol had high impact on the size of plant, number of leaves, chlorofile contained and accelerate the growth of the shoots. Paclobutrazol, however, could not elongate the phase of life of white jasmine (Jasminum sambac L. W. Ait.).

Abstract

Aphis Gossypii is bad animals that eat some plants. Aphis Gossypiitakes and eats leaf and epidermis structure. Brown leaf and curly is cause by Aphis Gossypii and plant can dead. Take care of plant uses sintetic pepticida that give negative effect toward field. To least using sintetic pepticida need to do improving good field such as, using nabati pepticida and serai wangi oil. Serai wangi oil has citronella unsure that is dangerous contact causing Aphis Gossypii lost energy until dead. The purpose of research is to determine effective serai wangi oil concentration to handle Aphis Gossypii. This research is done from February-March 2014 at Laboratory Zoology College of Teacher Trainning Biology Education STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat using RAL with 6 treatment and 5 test. As A treatment (bad animals), B (0.1% serai wangi oil), C (0.2% serai wangi oil), D (0.3% serai wangi oil), E (0.4%serai wangi oil), F (0.5% serai wangi oil). Parameter that is researched first dead and mortalitas nimfa Aphis Gossypii.The result of research is analyzed with many diagnoses and BNT test in 5% level. The result of research show that using serai wangi oil giving effect toward first dead mortalitas nimfa Aphis Gossypii. The test result of BNT can be that svery treatment giving value that give different toward first dead mortalitas nimfa Aphis Gossypii. Effective concentration to develop and take care Aphis Gossypii that has 0.4% concentration.

Abstract

Coal mining activity in Kamang Baru has been carried out. Coal mining activity has positive and negative impact. One of negative impact is causing the annoyance of vegetations and conditions circles changes in around of mining. New plants can grow in coal mined land, the plants is like cover growns. The cover growns fungtions are the withstand blows rain and runoff thus minimize erotion. The purpose of the research are to know of the vegetations compositions and circles conditions in coal mined land. The cover growns sampling conducted use the purposive sampling. The result of the research is 18 species founds in to 14 families from 893 individuals. Highest KR is Pennisetum polystachyon (L.) Schult (48,264%), lowest KR is Muntingia calabura L. and Mimosa pigra L. (0,112 % ), highest FR is Pennisetum polystachyon (L.) Schult (15,873 %), lowest FR is Blechnum sp., Muntingia calabura L., Merremia umbellata (L.) Hallier f., Mimosa pigra L., Chromolaena odorata (L.) R.M.King. & H.Rob. (1,587%), H’ is 0,775. Circles factors measuring is air temperature (220 - 390 C), air humidity (31 – 78 %) soil temperature (290 – 390 C), soil humidity (1 - 2%), pH (6,3-7,5), soil water content (3,3-9,4 %).

Abstract

The basic of this research by the result of biology learning in second grade students at SMAN I Talamau west Pasaman is low. This caused by some factors, that is the students do not active in learning and less sources of book at school. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of application the active learning strategy type everyone is a teacher here by using handout toward the result of biology learning in second grade student at SMAN I Talamau west Pasama. This research uses experiment method with randomized control group only design. The result of this research from affective, kognitif, psikomotor that exist to the students percentase experiment class that complete 90,48% and in class control 88%. The result of data analysis showed that t arithmetic 3,04 > t table 1,67 with the hyphotesis was accepted. It means that the aktive laerning strategy type everyone is a teacher here by using handout can improve the result of biology learning and second grade students at SMAN I Talamau west Pasaman.

Abstract

Fungi is life organism that have not chlorophyll, same with plant because have wall cell and non – motile. This research is to know macroscopic fungi species where is founded at Buffer Zone Plantation Garden Kiliran Jao Kecamatan Kamang Baru Kabupaten Sijunjung. Physic and chemical factors: air temperature, air dampness, ground pH in Buffer Zone. The research is about Inventarization of Macroscopic Fungi in Buffer Zone Plantation Garden Kiliran Jao Kecamatan Kamang Baru Kabupaten Sijunjung have done in June – August 2014. Method that is used in this research which is observation and direct collection toward macroscopic fungi. Identification is done in Botanical Laboratory (Biology) STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat which can be got 25 species from macroscopic fungi where is invite to 3 Classis, 5 Ordo, 8 Familia, 14 Genus. In addition, physic and chemical factor: air temperature of 26.4 - 29,70C, air dampness of 71 - 84%, ground pH 6.6 - 6.8.

Abstract

One of alternative method that improve students’ learning outcome is by implementingactive learning method on type team quiz with handout. This research aims to know about theeffect of implementing active learning team quiz type with handout toward students’ learningoutcome on material system reproduction at SMAN 1 Talamau. Type of this research wasexperimental research and research design was Randomized Control Group Posttest OnlyDesign,technique of data collection was purposive sampling. Research’s result can be seen thatexperimental class had average score more higher than control class which is amount tcount=4,1 andamount ofttable=1,67 so that tcount>ttable therefore hypotheses accepted. So, it can be conclude thatimplementing of Active Learning Method team quiz type with handout able to improve student’learning X1 grade science at SMAN 1 Talamau.

Abstract

This research is motivated by low yields studying biology class XI student of SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu in Riau on Human Reproductive System materials in the school year 2012/2013. One way that teachers can be applied to solve the problem is to implement innovative learning model examples non examples are not expected to improve student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the type of innovative learning model examples non examples of learning outcomes biology class XI SMA 1 Tembilahan Hulu in Riau. This study is an experimental research and the study design was a Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design, sampling technique was purposive sampling. The results of the study can be seen that the experimental class had an average higher than the control class where t_hitung > t_tabel which H₁ research hypothesis is accepted, it can be concluded that the application of innovative learning model of type examples non examples to improve learning outcomes biology class XI SMA 1 Hulu Tembilahan Riau.
