Abstract

ABSTRACT. The application of processing technology on duck eggs by application of liquid smoke on duck salting and technology of egg shredded to woman duck farmer community is aimed to improve shelf life and quality of duck eggs by egg salting and egg shredded. This application technology was applied on duck farmer community with hoping to improve knowledge and know-how and also by indirect to improve the revenue of farmers community. This activity consist of training in theory and practical, making product post training, examination of product quality and monitoring and evaluation. The activity took place since August until December 2012. The results of activity showed that all participants were very enthusiast to receive the offering technology, and then they were making duck egg salting with liquid smoke product and egg shredded. The quality and quantity of duck egg salting with liquid smoke were better than egg salting without liquid smoke. The quality of egg shredded was very good with protein and fat content was 16.57% and 32.11% respectively. The result of evaluation showed that there are 2 business units which to be active in technology application concern of course materials during training.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This study aims to determine how the role of social capital at marketing agencies of beef cattle in the District Bantimurung Maros. This type of research is quantitative descriptive by using quantitative and qualitative data, which was held from March to April 2015 on beef cattle marketing agencies in the District Bantimurung Maros. Analysis of the data used in this study descriptive statistics, while to determine the role of social capital on marketing agencies using Likert scale. Results of this study indicate that the role of social capital on beef cattle marketing agencies in the District Bantimurung Maros at the high category (1206.4 to 1551) with a total overall weight is 1233. if you see the  magnitude of the score or the weight obtained based marketing agency response cow cut to social capital, it can be said that are in the High category. On Social Capital variables have weights 318 norm with medium category, the network has a weight of 240 with the medium category, the trust has a weight of 352 with a high category, has a weight of 323 reciprosity the medium category.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Paramphistomiasis is a disease caused by infection of Paramphistomum sp. The disease can be affecting productivity of Bali cattle. A description study was conducted to determine the prevalence of paramphistomiasis in Bali cattle of Libureng sub-district, Bone regency. Faecal samples were collected from 100 cattle and were selected with proporsional random sampling in each village. Research was done at June 29 until July 16th 2014. Faecal samples were collected from the rectal of Bali cattle in Libureng subdistrict, Bone regency. Faecal were examined by sedimentation method to detect eggs of Paramphistomum sp. on the basis of their morphology. Prevalance was calculated by dividing positive of sample with the total sample of examined then multiplied 100%. The result showed that prevalence paramphistomiasis in bali cattle of Libureng sub-district, Bone regency were 57%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This study aims to determine the effect and level section of banana and interaction both on the physical quality of beef sausage. Research using a completely randomized design factorial pattern 3 x 3 each with three replications. Factor is 3 parts of banana (Interior, Exterior and Mixed), Factor B is the level of use (0%, 15 and 30%). Parameters measured were cooking shrinkage, breaking power, power iris and pH. The study concluded that: 1) Addition of banana intact produce sausages that have tenderness (power break) and iris power higher than the sausage with the addition of banana inside and the outside, but did not make a difference in the shrinkage cookware and pH sausage. 2) The higher levels of addition of the higher shrinkage cookware, tenderness and a social and iris power, no difference in the effect of banana on the pH level of the sausage. 3) The interaction factor and level section of banana showed no difference in response to shrinkage cookware, powerbreaking, power and pH sausage slices.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This study was conducted in the Basic Laboratory of Animal Science, Faculty of Science and Technology of the State Islamic University of Makassar, and the Laboratory of Food Chemistry, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Hasanuddin University, Makassar. This study aimed to determine the effect of EM-4 levels and the influence of long fermentation time (Crude Fiber, Dried Materials and Water) Eichhornia crassipes. The method is based on research conducted in (completely randomized design factorial) with 3x3 factorial with four replications, treatment composition as follows: The first factor ; EM- 4 level P0 (0 % EM-4), P1 (1 % EM4), and P2 (1.5 % EM4) and the second factor: the time of T0 fermentation (7 days), T1 (14 days), and T2 (21 days). Based on the results of various analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the level of provision of 1.5 % EM-4 influences on crude fiber content of dry materials and water, while long fermentation time significantly affects on the water content and lower fiber content .

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This study aims to know the effect of concentrate and UMB woof giving on cow body weight increase. the research method is based 2 treatments, first treatment is UMB woof giving and second treatment is concentrate woof giving. Each treatments are based of 5 cows. Data were analyzed by T test (t- Test Independent Sample). Based on the results of analysis showed that effect of UMB and concentrate woof giving does not affect to body weight increase of cows.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This study aims to determine the effect on the performance of individual competence agricultural extension (farms) in the district of Mamuju Mamuju. This is the kind of research that aims explanatory Quantitative explain the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable, in this case Pengauruh Individual Competence for Performance Agricultural Extension (Ranch) in the district of Mamuju Mamuju. This study was conducted in May 2014 in the district of Mamuju Mamuju. The location was chosen because of the growing information that the dynamic performance of agricultural extension/farms in conducting the intensity of assistance and dissemination to the farmer group was minimal. The analysis tool used is infrensial statistical data analysis tools (parametric) to see the effect of several variables indpenden (X) to the dependent variable (Y) by t test (partial) and F test (simultaneous). Based on the research showed that the variable skills (X1) had no significant effect on the performance of an extension, while the work ethic variable (X2) and motivation (X3) significantly affects the performance of a counselor in the district of Mamuju Mamuju. The biggest variable contribution to the performance extension that work motivation of 0.426 or 42.6%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This research aims to know the revenue earned broiler chicken breeder in Partnership Pattern in Bontomatene village, District Marusu Maros. This research was conducted in March and April 2015 in Bontomatene village, District Marusu Maros. This type of research is quantitative descriptive, which is a type of research that describes the revenue earned broiler chicken breeder in Partnership Pattern in Bontomatene village, District Marusu Maros. The population in this research is the breeders who participated in Partnership Pattern in Bontomatene village, District Marusu Maros as much as 23 breeders, because the population is not too large, then the entire population of the research sample. Analysis of the data used is descriptive statistics. The results obtained by the research that has been done is the revenue earned broiler chicken breeder in partnership pattern Bontomatene village a low of Rp. 1039.67 per head while the highest revenue earned by breeder is Rp. 1423.18 per head.
