Abstract

Siak Sri Indrapura has tourism potencial as nature tourism, cultural tourism, religious tourism and history tourism. Therefore, this research was conducted to find out the implementation of promotion trough media brochure by Dinas Pariwisata Kabupaten Siak to attract tourists coming to Balai Kerapatan Tinggi of Siak Sri Indrapura.The reseacrh aims to find out how responses the implementation of promotion through media brochure in Balai Kerapatan tinggi, Kabupaten Siak. This research used a descriptive quantitative method to examine problems in the lift. The samples in this study were 75 respondents, who were taken by using simpel random sampling. While data collection techniques in this study using observation, interview, questioner, and document. By using a Likert scale as a measure to determine the length of the short interval. From the results of research that’s been done, the result is the implementation of promotion through media brochure in Balai Kerapatan Tinggi less satisfying.Keywords: Promotion Mix, The Promotion of Media Brochure

Abstract

IMAMI UR is one of the Association minang active student at the University of Riau. Imami UR in running the organization formed a group communication. communications groups in the IMAMI UR formed with the goal of one of them is to build solidarity members. For that reason, this study aims to determine the IMAMI UR group communication views of the role of communicators group, the messages that are exchanged, patterns of interaction and communication networks as well as members solidarity.This study uses qualitative methods. As for the subject of the Informants were selected using a purposive technique. Informan of this reasearch consisted of three board consisting of a chairman, secretary and public relations and the two members of the IMAMI UR. Data collection techniques used observation, interview, and documentation.The results of this research show that members of IMAMI UR have roles according to the group structure. As a well-structured group, messages delivered in the interaction is about the performance of the group members. Interaction patterns that formed on IMAMI UR progresses through inter-personal communication. Communication network that also formed, from this interactuin is all channels network communication. IMAMI UR members uphold the norms of decency. And solidarity group formed is organic and mechanical solidarityKeywords : Communication, Group Communication, Solidarity

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of the Satuan Tugas Sweep Pengap Liung (Satgas Saber Pungli) in the Riau Forestry Service. And to analyze the factors that inhibit the supervision of the Clean Sweep Task Unit (Satgas Saber Pungli) in the Riau Province Forestry Office. The type of research used is qualitative research, informant using snowball sampling technique and as informant in this research is Member of Satuan Tugas Sapu Bersih Pungutan Liar (Satgas Saber Pungli) Riau Province, Riau Forestry Office and Regional Office of Law and Human Rights Riau (Posko Saber Pungli ). The data type of this research is primary and secondary data with source of data from informant and documentation. While for data collection in research through interviews and documentation. Based on the result of the research, it can be seen that the form of supervision of Satuan Tugas Sapu Bersih Pungutan Liar (Satgas Saber Pungli) of Riau Province against illegal acts committed by the state apparatus in Riau Province outline through the community in the form of reports or public complaints in the implementation of public services. Supervision by the Clean Sweep Task Unit (Satgas Saber Pungli) Riau Province in accordance with the laws and regulations. One of the obstacles that hindered the illegal levy action because there has been no strict sanction in the form of direct dismissal without going through the judicial process for government officials who are proven to be caught red-handed. For that it is suggested in this study the officers (state apparatus) to carry out their duties in accordance with the authority and not abuse his power to seek profit from the community. To the government to presumably pay more attention to the criminal acts of illegal levies on the community because in this case the role of government is needed to eradicate the practice of illegal levies to roots. Abstract

Kuda lumping is one of local cultural assets that owned by the Indonesian people and must preserved. In this art sesajen is one of the elements that can not be separated. In the sesajen in kuda lumping by Karya Budaya group, there are some symbolic aspects that have certain meaning is represented from the attributes and sesajen activities performed by the handler and kuda lumping toward sesajen. The purpose of this study is to know the meaning of physical symbols, social situation and social interaction of sesajen in the traditional art kuda lumping by Karya Budaya group at Kemuning Muda Village. This research uses qualitative research method with Symbolic Interaction approach. The informants in this research are the kuda lumping masterpiece of Karya Budaya, the trainer of kuda lumping of Karya Budaya, the senior and junior players of kuda lumping of Karya Budaya also the kuda lumping audiences which are selected purposively. Data collection techniques are conduted through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the symbolic meaning of sesajen in the kuda lumping art of Karya Budaya at Kemuning Muda Village Bunga Raya Subdistrict Siak Regency consists of physical symbols that include people offer in the sesajen it self such as incense, chicken ingkung, pisang raja, snacks, rice pulut, egg, cassava flower, drink, rice, crackers, peyek, lalaban, tubers, pencok bakal, white rice and tempe bacem, comb, powder, mirror and lipstick, yellow rice, ketupat, dadap leaf, mermaid and young coconut with certain meanings every part. The social situation of the offerings in the art of the kuda lumping of Culture consists of the chants of prayer (mantra) read by the handler, incense burning by the handler, sow yellow rice by the handler and eat the offerings by the kuda lumping players of Karya Budaya which also have a certain meaning. The meaning of social interaction products include the meaning of sesajen from the handler's, from the coach, from the side of the kuda lumping by Karya Budaya group and from the viewer art of kuda lumping art show.

Abstract

Supervision of heavy-duty truck controls aimed at maintaining road hygiene, as well as public road safety and security. Supervision is conducted on the compliance of the obligations of licensees / users of heavy truck vehicles in accordance with the provisions of local regulations related to the use of public roads. However, in the implementation of surveillance is still the discovery of trucks in violation of the obligation to use road or overcrowded trucks or heavy truckloads that violate the provisions of the time lap.In this research, the theoretical concept used is the theory of supervision proposed by Brantas (2009) as a research instrument, in which to measure the monitoring of heavy truck loaded vehicles there must be a standard of supervisory work, further action assessment on the results achieved and improvement actions if deviate from the standard (defined conditions). This research uses qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including interview, observation and documentation study.The result of the research shows that the monitoring of heavy truck vehicles has not been optimally implemented. Where the assessment measures have not achieved results in accordance with the objective of the captive and the regulation of the liability of road use, such as the presence of heavy truck vehicles that violate the road routes, the vehicles that do not use tarpaulins, and the liability of road users for heavy truck vehicles, improvements by applying sanctions for heavy truck vehicles users have not been firmly implemented, sanctions given warnings and fines, while against unloading of overload has not been carried out. Low control factors for heavy truckloaded vehicles include the ability of supervisory officers, who are in the surveillance post, lack of monitoring posts and supporting infrastructure, and coordination between the Transportation Agency and the Pekanbaru Traffic Police Unit not yet scheduled / synergic, the coordination tends to be kesadarn officer in the field.Key Words: Supervision, Road Usage Arrangement, Road Trip, Heavy Bertonase Trucking Vehicle

Abstract

The development of technology has affected the service business to be able to compete in improving the quality service to the guest. The computerized system has been proven to help companies to launch operational work of its employees. This study aims to determine the significant effect of computerized system on the performance of front office department employees at Planet Holiday Hotel & Residence Batam, and to know the responses of front office department employees who use computerized system. The research method used in this research is quantitative descriptive approach. The data obtained from the results of questionnaires given to respondents and interview as many as 17 people with a census sampling technique which is front office department employees. The hotel uses a computerized system to help running smooth the operational work of its employees in serving guests due to the development and use of technology that is evenly to increase the competition with other hotels as well. From the results of the processed questionnaires, observations, and interviews it can be seen that there is a significant influence between computerized system on the performance of front office department employees at Planet Holiday Hotel & Residence Batam, with the influence of variables of 69.3%. As well as employee responses using computerized systems, prove that the system used is very helpful in completing the work so as to produce good performance.Keywords : Computerized System, Performance, Operational Work, Front Office, Hotel

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Work Environment and Organizational Commitment on Employee Satisfaction (Case Study at Hotel Ratu Mayang Garden Pekanbaru). Work Environment as a variable (X1) Organizational Commitment as a variable (X2) and Job Satisfaction as (Y).The method in this research is descriptive and quantitative by using SPSS 20 program. The sample used is 92 employees consisting of 10 departments. To determine the sample using census research method. Technique of collecting data through questionnaire.The results of analysis using multiple linear regression, t test, and test f. It can be seen that the Work Environment has significant effect on Employee Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment has a significant effect on Employee Job Satisfaction, and Work Environment and Organizational Commitment have a significant effect on Employee Satisfaction.Keywords: Work Environment, Organizational Commitment, Job Satisfaction

Abstract

This research analyzes the role of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to protect Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling wildlife reserve in Kampar Kiri, Riau during 2012 until 2015. Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling is well known with its biodiversity. It has been a destination of ecotourism for domestic and foreign tourist in the world. But, because of deforestation and illegal logging, so many plants and animals lost their environment there. It’s be serious problems that need to be solved as soon as possible.WWF is one of the non-governmental international organizations that focus to protect the environmental sustainibility. WWF has been doing positive roles in Indonesia since its formal formation in 1962. In realizing its goal to protect Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling, WWF do several activities there such as ecotourism development, environmental education study, planting development, bioprospection activity, animal inventaritation, and others. WWF is also supported by other international organizations, local organizations, and government in every level.The datas were collected from many sources like books, journals, and websites that can support this research. In this research, the reseacher uses constructivism perspective to describe the role of WWF in Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling. Abstract

The effort process of retransformation of Nias Islands Province is started from the political elite’s idea. In its development, the political elite with every attribute they have (especially the political elite in local/regional level) have an influence and strong role in the regional autonomy era nowadays. The purpose of this research is to know the dynamics of the effort process of retransformation of Nias Islands Province in its relation with the interest of political-government elite and non-government political elite in local level and the factors that influences the effort process of retransformation of Nias Islands Province. Research method that used is qualitative research method and the analysis descriptive approach and use interview and documentation to collect the data. The used theory in this research is regional autonomy, retransformational area conception, and elite theory.Based on the empirical research, it has been found the fact that the dynamics that take place from 2009 until 2014 look so difficult. Began with the declaration of establishment Nias Islands Province from 2009 until in 2014 as the year that signed with the postponement of legalization of the establishment the new autonomous area Nias Islands Province. Besides that, the existence of interrelation of interest interpolitical elite also describes the answers of political elites toward the effort process of retransformation of Nias Islands Province that consists of two points these are economical interest and political interest. The factors that influence the effort process of retransformation of Nias Islands Province consist of supporting factor that is the involvement of political elite and inhibiting factors these are the internal dynamics of political elite, the moratorium of establishment of DOB (new autonomous area), and the mechanism of law 23 year 2014 about regional governance. In this research, the author concludes that there is a difficult dynamics that take place chronologically from 2009 as the first year of declaration the establishment of Nias Islands Province until the difficult struggle until the process of plenary session in The House of People’s Representative of Indonesia at 2014 that postponed the legalization of the establishment of Nias Island Province considering the change of government regime and the change of Indonesian Parliamentary period from 2009-2014 to 2014-2019 period.Keywords: Political elite, interest, and the establishment of Nias Islands Province

Abstract

This study is based on the problem of the secretary of the village post as civil state apparatus (ASN) in the village administration, especially in the village secretary in the village koto sentajo sub district sentajo raya kuantan singingi district. Attempts to find out how the capability of the post-village secretary becomes the state civil apparatus (ASN) in the of village administration through the concept of the capability of the village secretary post to become the state civil apparatus (ASN) in the administration of the village administration.. This study aims to describe the real situation in the field systematically and accurately related facts and units of research analysis, as well ad field observation based on certain data (information). Methods of data collection is done by interview, documentation, and observation in the field.The results of the study explain teh capabilities of the village secretary based on the duties and function in the administration of the village administration. Based on the concept of capability, the capability of the village secretary can be been in institutions, human resources (HR), finance, and technical resources. Unrealized budgets for the processs of village development and administartion of village administrations. The appropriate solution to solve the problem in the capability the post- goverment secretary to be the state civil servant (ASN) in administering the village administartions is to make the guidance of village lawa number 6 of 2014 with law number 32 of 2006 in the village administration guidelines.Keyword : Capability, village Administration.
