Abstract

This research focuses on social and educational issues has always been the subject of debate that became a phenomenon in Indonesia. Social movement become an alternative to change the people it self. Social movement in Pekanbarucan be interesting research. Kelas Inspirasi community as a social movement in Pekanbaru be a forum for the members to inspire the next generation to improve the quality of human resources. This research intend to find out how the motives of members, how they interpret the social movement, and communication experience in running social movement in pekanbaru.This research uses qualitative method with phenomenology approach. The subjects consist of ten volunteer informants and community committee of Kelas Inspirasi, selected by using purposive technique. The data for this research collected through by interview, observation and documentation. To test the validity of the data used the method of extension of participation and triangulation.The result of this research is to find out motives of Kelas Inspirasi members, an the result is consist of because motives include, human factors, trial, passion in education. And in order to motives, adding friends and relationships, helping others, introducing the profession and providing insight into the future purpose, adding experiences and developing ideas. Members of Kelas Inspirasi Community mean social movement as ways to be happy, ways to share, and positive activities.The communication experience by members of Kelas Inspirasi Pekanbaru community consists of pleasant communication experience in the welcome speeches of principals and teachers, the enthusiasm of children, adding friendships and relationships and adding new experiences. Second, unpleasant communication experiences include access to location difficulties, rejection from several schools, and licensing issues.Key Word: Social Movement, Community, Kelas Inspirasi Pekanbaru

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) To know the workload room attendant at KTM Resort Batam. (2) To know Work productivity room attendant at KTM Resort Batam. (3) To know the effect of workload on work productivity of room attendant at KTM Resort Batam. In this research the research method that I use is quantitative method with descriptive approach to examine the issues raised. The sample in this study as many as 8 people using the census method. While data collection techniques in this study using questionnaires, interviews and observation. By using Likert scale as a measuring tool to determine the short length of interval, multiple linear regression, validity test, reliability test and hypothesis test to determine the effect of variable x to y. Based on the results of research that has been done, there is a significant correlation or relationship between the workload with work productivity. The higher the workload the worse the productivity of work, this is due to lack of employees room attendant working at KTM Resort Batam. This research concludes that the workload received by KTM Resort Batam room attendant is very much, after the calculation of work load, the management must add 2 persons room attendant to reduce the workload of room attendant in KTM Resort Batam in order to achieve the Work Productivity good.Keywords: Workload, Work Productivit

Abstract

The diffusion of Korean Pop Culture that offers various forms of entertainment such as film, drama, variety show, and Korean Music Pop (K-Pop) capture the public’s attention. One of that proofs is the spread of the Korean Wave phenomenon internationally. In the early 2000s, the influences of Korean Pop Culture in Indonesia came through the broadcast from local televisions, which led some of the young generations to make some Korean fan communities in Indonesia, included Pekanbaru city in Riau Province. There many Korean fan communities in Pekanbaru, one of them called by Art of Dance Community. Aside from the performances of AOD’s members, they often mix the language (Indonesian language with Korean language) in daily conversation. Not only in verbal, but also in non verbal, like the way they dress look like Korean. This research was aimed to describe Art of Dance’s member’s reception analysis of Korean Pop Culture toward their cultural identity which can be seen from their lifestyles.This research is descriptive research by using a qualitative approach. This research is using reception analysis which wants to figure out the reception of Korean Pop Culture by Art of Dance’s members in their daily life. The informant of this research are 6 people which are the leader and members of that community. The data in this research were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation.The result of this study shows that the six informants received the Korean Pop Culture differently, and it can be classified into two meaning positions these are dominant and negotiated. In the outfit styles and non-verbal communication styles, all of 6 members of that community received dominant results, and three of them applied it into their daily life because they want to show their identity as K-Pop fans. In verbal communication, all of informants created a new communication styles, such as mixing the language (Indonesian language with Korean language). In consumption, all of informants received dominant results in consumption of Korean TV Show and things that related to Korea, whereas for consumption of food, informants chose Korean Halal Food. Keywords: Reception Analysis, Korean Pop Culture, Lifestyle

Abstract

Rabies disease is a contagious and zoonotic disease, it can infect humans through the bite of an animal infected with rabies. Rabies disease is caused by a zoonotic virus meaning rabies disease can be transmitted from animal to human, through the bite of Rabies (HPR). Kuantan Singingi Regency has a high population of rabid animals and wild animal rabies and many cases of bites caused by HPR. If not handled optimally the level of bite cases will increase. Therefore it is necessary to see the implementation of Regional Regulation number 10 of 2009 on Animal Health Maintenance. The theory used in this research is Policy Implementation. Especially the theory of Jan Merse to see the implementation of Regional Regulation number 10 of 2009 on Animal Health Maintenance related to government efforts in the prevention of rabies transmitting animals. This research uses qualitative descriptive method with triangulation technique, data collection with observation, interview and documentation. The result of the research is the implementation of the regulation of Kuantan Singingi Regency Number 10 Year 2009 on Animal Health Maintenance related to the efforts of the government in controlling rabies transmitters have been done but there are some that have not been done, among others: facilities, public participation is still lacking, and information obtained from it the factors that influence the implementation of the implementation of the Regulation of Kuantan Singingi Regency Number 10 Year 2009 on Animal Health Maintenance related to the government's efforts to control rabies transmitted animals include: limited funds, facilities, and low public and cultural awareness.Keywords: Rabies Disease, Animal Transmitting Rabies, Policy Implementation

Abstract

Bank Mandiri (Marpoyan Assistant Branch Office) on 2013 launched micro credit loan that is capital loan to help personal enterprises. The implementation of this capital loan isn’t run correcrly at all, it means there’s a problem. The problem is there is debitor who can’t pay their loan on the payday. So to solve the problem Bank Mandiri (Marpoyan Assistant Branch Office) Pekanbaru hired Debt Collector who particularly has aassignment to make sure debitor pay their loan on the payday. This research aims to find out about direct communication, verbal and non verbal communication, and also the form of debt collector’s communication patterns on the micro credit collection process to debitor of Bank Mandiri (Marpoyan Assistant Branch Office) Pekanbaru.This research using qualitative research method with descriptive approach and supported with Symbolic Interaction theory. The subject of this research was choosing by purposive sampling technique who consists of three debt collectors and two debitors. Data was collected through observation, interview and documentation, Data was analyst using Interactive model of Miles & Huberman. Meanwhile to achieve the validity of the data, researcher used the extension of participation, triangulation, and adequacy of reference.The results showed first, direct communication is debt collector on the interaction of micro credit collection process make a contact first with debitor directly by phone, and debt collector do the collection directly and has a face to face interaction. Second, verbal and non verbal communication is symbol that exchanged when debt collector and debitor have interact each other. The form of verbal communication is vocabulary, racing, intonation, timing, and the form of non verbal communication is fasial massages, gestural massages, and postural massages. Third, the form of communication pattern is one way interaction and direct interaction between debt collector and debitor on the process of micro credit collection to debitor appropriate to SOP that had assigned from the bank.Key Words: Communication Pattern, Debt Collector, Symbolic Interaction

Abstract

This study aimed at knowing the correlation of the work ethos on vegetable farmers economic status in Damai Marpoyan Sub-District Pekanbaru. The research design of this study was quantitative study using correlation formula of Pearson Product Moment and using probability approach with simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique used was quantitative analysis, provided with form of table with attached explanations. The result of the research was there was a significant correlation between the work ethos on vegetable farmers economic status in Damai Marpoyan Sub-District Pekanbaru. Based on the result of this study, work ethos influences the economic status of vegetable farmers in Marpoyan Damai Sub-District.Keywords : work ethos, economic status, farmer

Abstract

Government of Pekanbaru city through the Government Secretariat division of Public Relations and Information manage the government's official website as a public information media. Pekanbaru City Government utilize IT facilities for the benefit of the public administration. In managing the website, PR and information seeks to make changes and improvements through public relations management. This study aims to determine the management process of public relations in managing the website as a public information media covering identifikasian problem, Planning, Action and Communication and Evaluation.This study used qualitative research methods. The informant of this study is the head of the sub-sections and 3 staff manager of information and complaints from the public, while the object of this study is the management of the website as a public information media. The data collection technique used was observation, interviews and documentation. In reaching the validity of the data in this study, the authors used the extension of participation and triangulation. The results showed that the management of the website as a public information media in the public relations and information using public relations management process. First identifying the problem is the public relations and information has made observations related to management of the website as a public information media. PR seeing community needs to be able to communicate with the mayor and officials. Furthermore, PR and information to make planning in the management of the website by creating IT-based public complaints program and coordinate with officials managing information and documentation, as well as forming a team to answer all the aspirations and the incoming news in the websites. Next in action and communication, PR run the activities of cyber PR in managing websites, public relations staff to answer incoming aspirations, manage the news, as well as the input of data in the Website content www.Pekanbaru.go.id. Recently, PR evaluate at the end of the year, publicist made recap complaints and conduct meetings related devices, human resources and the performance of the PR staff at the sub-section manager of information and complaints from the public in the management of the website as a public information media. Abstract

This script is titled " Society Response to The Presence of Immigrants at Pekanbaru Immigration Detention House". The research for this paper was conducted at Simpang Tiga,  Bukit Raya Subdistrict, Pekanbaru. The research itself focuses on the level of knowledge of the community about immigrants and the response of the community to the presence of immigrants around the Simpang Tiga area where the Immigration Detention Center is located on St. O.K.M Jamil precisely behind the Purna MTQ field, Pekanbaru. The researcher himself uses a sampling technique that is Simple Random Sampling because there are so many populations. The number of respondents in this study were 100 people taken from the Simpang Tiga community. The method used in this study is to use quantitative descriptive research methods because this method can calculate and describe the results of detailed responses through calculation of the score obtained in the study with the description. The instruments used in collecting data are observation, questionnaires, and documents. The theory used is response theory which describes the depiction of human stimulus in the face of stimulation. The results of the study itself illustrate that the Simpang Tiga community has a high knowledge base so that they can understand well about the definition of immigrants, the problems posed, the basis of immigration law, and also the institutions that handle it. But in terms of the level of response that is describing that the community there still treats the presence of immigrants there does not cause negative effects and affects lives, people still consider and behave naturally. However, the people remain vigilant and guard themselves against the possibility of immigrants who commit criminal and dangerous acts, especially terror threats. The level of security of the Pekanbaru Immigration Detention House which is still under control makes the community not too afraid of immigrants. Keywords: Society, Response, Immigrants

Abstract

This research is an international relations in diplomacy studies which describes about the efforts and impacts of Ship for South East Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) toward Indonesia cultural diplomacy. SSEAYP was launched based on the respective Joint Statements issued in 1974 between Japan and five countries of ASEAN region. And now this program followed by ten ASEAN countries. The aims of the program are to promote friendship and mutual understanding among youths of Japan and ASEAN countries, broaden their perspective on the world and introducing their culture to one another.This is qualitative research which used descriptive explanative methods. This paper used the neo-realist perspective and cultural diplomacy theory proposed by Joseph Nye and Alexander Vuving. The object of this research is Ship for South East Asian Youth Program.The result of this research explained Indonesian efforts with cultural diplomacy to take advantage of this program to promote our culture by shown it during the program. This program gives some positives impacts to Indonesian diplomacy especially in youth development and culture aspect, because after this program ASEAN countries and Japan will know about Indonesian culture, and alumnus of SSEAYP Indonesia can be the next future leader. Abstract

The Vlive application is an application with the main features of live broadcast from South Korean idols. This application brings idols and fans together virtually all over the world. In the Vlive application there are several channels that can be seen from South Korean idols and followed by K-Pop fans. The current most followed channel on the Vlive application is a channel from the boyband BTS. In the show on Vlive application, fans can see how the daily avtivities of BTS members, ranging from behavior, appearance to goods or products used by BTS members who usually always become a conversation among fans and often they also imitate it in daily activities. The purpose of this study was to analyze how much influence of boyband BTS shows on the Vlive application on imitation behavior on fans.In this study, researchers used Stimulus- Response Theory (SR) and Social Learning Theory. The method used in this study is quantitative explanatory with random sampling techniques. The population in this study was 217 people with a samples of 141 respondents. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire, to find out the effect between two variables, the writer uses simple linear regression analysis. Furthermore, data testing was performed using the SPSS program for windows version 21.Based on the results of simple linear regression, the regression coefficient values obtained in this study were Y = 23,041 + 2,015 X with a significance level of 0,000. The significance level is smaller than α = 0.05, which means Ho rejected and Ha accepted, with the statement that there are significant shows boyband BTS on the Vlive app on imitation behavior on Riau Army line social media. The coefficient of determination (R2) in the study of 41.7% which means these figures show that the effect ofimpressions boyband base stations in the VLive application against imitation behavior on social media line Army Lists included in the medium category. While the remaining 58.3% is influenced by other variables not included in this study.
