Abstract

This study discusses ASEAN's efforts to overcome cybercrime cases in Indonesia. The issue of this crime resulted in losses for various parties including the state. Low security, low education, and low law enforcement are among the factors that encourage the issue of this crime to move freely. Efforts are being made to cooperate with ASEAN through ASEAN documents on transnational crime, as well as implementing cyber security, cyber resilience, and cyber diplomacy. This research uses qualitative methods, using case study research techniques through indirect sources such as notes, reports, articles or journals. This research uses the perspective of Neorealism, Cyber Security theory. The result of this paper is that ASEAN's efforts are still ongoing but Indonesia's support is also needed so that the implementation of security, resilience and diplomacy can be carried out properly. Abstract

Food security is the physical, social, and economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food. Indonesia faced challenges in achieving food security, although there had been progress. Collaborative programs with the World Food Programme (WFP), such as Indonesia Country Programme 1 (2012-2015) and Indonesia Country Programme II (2016-2020), aimed to improve nutrition, disaster preparedness, and food security analysis, in line with the RPJMN. In this study, the author employed an approach the Theory of International Organization and the group-level analysis to analyze and understand events based on existing data. The author utilized qualitative research methods, secondary data collection techniques obtained through a literature review sourced from various publications. WFP had a significant role in achieving food security through the Indonesia Country Programme. As an international organization, WFP successfully fulfilled three roles according to Clive Archer. This fulfillment was observed based on the achievements of the WFP program, namely the Indonesia Country Programme 2016-2020, with the analysis of the four pillars of FAO food security. Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the work environment and motivation on job satisfaction of employees at the Tampan Mental Hospital, Pekanbaru City, partially and simultaneously. This research used a questionnaire as a data collection tool which was distributed to 117 respondents. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing, and determination efficiency using SPSS 16. Based on research results, the work environment partially influences the job satisfaction of employees at the Tampan Mental Hospital, Pekanbaru City. Abstract

The importance of the role of legislators for the sustainability of democracy in Indonesia makes the recruitment process of these legislators also important because the good or bad of the legislature members who sit in parliament will be determined by the recruitment process. The Pekanbaru City DPRD legislative elections for the 2019-2024 period showed that the Democratic Party's seat acquisition increased, from 6 seats to 7 seats and was the second most seats acquired after the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS). This study aims to describe the Recruitment Pattern of Candidates for Legislative Members of the Pekanbaru City DPRD for the 2019-2024 Period (Case Study of the Pekanbaru City Democratic Party DPC), in achieving the objectives of this study the authors used the theory of open and closed political recruitment mechanisms and the theory of the nature of Sahid Gatara's political recruitment process i.e. top-down, bottom-up and mixed. The research method used is a qualitative method by explaining descriptively. The type of research data used is primary data in the form of data obtained from research informants and secondary data obtained from related documents that can support data for research. The research location is in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This research suggests that the Recruitment Pattern for Candidates for Legislative Members of the Pekanbaru City DPRD for the 2019-2024 period (Case Study of the Pekanbaru City Democratic DPC) uses an open political recruitment mechanism. The Democratic Party opens opportunities for anyone who wants to register both internally and externally. As well as the political recruitment process used is mixed by combining top-down and bottom-up systems. To find the best candidate for society, the Democratic Party has 5 (five) stages in the mechanism for recruiting candidates for its legislative members. Among them are registration, psychological tests, first and second interviews, then finally determining the results. In the placement of elective areas (dapils) it is left to the candidates themselves but still under the supervision of the party. Serial numbers are determined in two ways. The first is the prerogative of the chairman of the DPC accompanied by advice and input from party officials. Second, based on the score obtained by the candidates during the selection period. Abstract

Currently, the café business in the city of Pekanbaru is increasingly enjoyed by all layers of society, one of which is Leton Coffee. Behind the establishment of a café, excellent service is necessary to attract customers, with one form of excellent service being handling Customer complaints. This study aims to determine the factors that cause customers to complain to baristas, the efforts of baristas in handling Customer complaints, and the management efforts at Leton Coffee Pekanbaru in preparing professional baristas to deal with complaints. This research is a descriptive qualitative study with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results obtained indicate that the main factor behind complaints at Leton Coffee Pekanbaru is dissatisfaction and discomfort felt by customers. The efforts of cashiers and baristas in handling complaints involve using the HEAT method, and the Coffee shop management's efforts in complaint handling include conducting Training for Leton Coffee Pekanbaru employees every month. Abstract

This study delves into the pivotal role undertaken by UNEP in tackling environmental crises, with a specific focus on the preservation of peatlands. Peatlands stand as critical ecosystems, playing a dual role in climate crisis mitigation and, conversely, significantly exacerbating global warming if subjected to degradation. UNEP's endeavors in peatland conservation extend to nations harboring extensive peatlands, as exemplified by Indonesia, particularly spotlighting the Tapanuli Selatan region through the implementation of the Ecosystem-based Disaster Risk Reduction (Eco-DRR) project. Within this locale, peatlands are prone to recurrent and protracted flooding, peat fires, and land subsidence attributed to peat desiccation and heightened susceptibility to conflagrations. In dissecting this case study, the research applies Harold K. Jacobson's theoretical framework concerning the functions of international organizations, affording a deeper grasp of UNEP's role within this realm. Employing an explanatory qualitative methodology, the data compilation process yields comprehensive insights and comprehension. A substantial portion of the dataset stems from UNEP's publications elucidating the Eco-DRR project in Indonesia, coupled with annual reports pertaining to peatlands, scholarly volumes, and pertinent articles. The study's findings elucidate UNEP's pronounced impact through the Eco-DRR initiative, effectively realizing the five fundamental roles as delineated by Harold K. Jacobson regarding international organizations. UNEP adeptly establishes a harmonious distribution of benefits by actively engaging local communities in peatland conservation endeavors. Collaborative ventures between UNEP, local communities, regional authorities, and pertinent institutions foster innovative strategies such as Bio-Rights, instrumental in achieving multifaceted goals encompassing fire prevention, ecosystem rejuvenation, and the fortification of community resilience. Abstract

Nongsa Point Marina (NPM) is a four star resort in the Riau Island and is part of the Nongsa Resort group. Nongsa Resort itself consists of 3 resorts, namely Turi Beach, Nongsa Point Marina, and Taman Nongsa Indah Village (TNIV). There are around 20 choices of appetizer menus consisting of indonesia food, western food, snacks, sweets offered by the cold kitchen section of Nongsa Point Marina & Resort Batam. One of them is Pandan Sago With Ice Cream. Pandan Sago With Ice Cream has a very creamy texture, using the raw material of sagp pearls combined with the savory original kara coconut milk and the sweetness of palm sugar, as well as the aroma of Pandan which really sttracts attention and appetite, then a very special combination when Vanilla Ice Cream is in between the circles Pandan Sago. Feedback is one way to get guest’s opinions about the products offered at hotels or resort. This research was conducted to find out how guest respon regarding the influence of the quality of Pandan Sago With Ice Cream products on guest satisfaction at Nongsa Point Marina & Resort Batam. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with a sample size of 100 respondents based on the last year’s population. The data collection tchniques used by the author are observation, questionnaires, documentation and using a likert scala as a measuring tool. Based on research result, the influence of Pandan Sago With Ice Cream product quality on guest satisfaction at Nongsa Point Marina & Resort Batam in the category is good. Abstract

Mapala Sakai itself is the first mapala caving pioneer in Riau. The science of caving is currently very common among nature-loving students in Pekanbaru, as a result nature-loving students are less concerned with the condition of existing karst areas. So the lack of availability of complete data and information regarding existing karst areas, results in management and policy making regarding karst and its contents being undirected and tending to ignore the important function and potential of karst as a never-ending water provider as well as being a repository of knowledge from various fields such as, biology, geology, hydrology, archeology, and also speleology. To maintain and preserve the karst areas in Indonesia, there is a need for cavers (cave exploration activists) who will study the science of caving and speleology. This research explains how Mapala Sakai's communication strategy increases interest in caving for mapala in Pekanbaru, and finds out what are the supporting and inhibiting factors of Mapala Sakai's communication strategy. This research method is descriptive qualitative, using a strategic communication model, in this research involving four informants in order to obtain relevant data, in accordance with the objectives and needs of the research using purposive sampling techniques. Based on research with informants, the results of this research show that Mapala Sakai's communication strategy in increasing interest in caving for Mapala in Pekanbaru is based on communication elements, namely communicator selection, message selection, media selection, audience selection, and response. These results were obtained from data processing using qualitative data analysis techniques. This research shows that Mapala Sakai, through a communicator selection strategy, targets audiences including active members of Mapala in Pekanbaru. The media used are social media such as YouTube and Instagram and direct face-to-face meetings, and the response is an increasing number of mapala members in caving activitie

Abstract

The focus of this research is how to apply standard operating procedures in improving employee work in the banquet section of The Zuri Hotel Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to improve the standard operating procedures of existing work so that employees in the banquet section. This is done to improve its quality and be able to provide effective services and be able to carry out work activities according to the steps that have been determined by management. The approach used in research is a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are (1) observation (2) interviews (3) documentation. Based on the results of the study, it shows: (1) employees do not fully understand the contents of the soup that must be carried out so that it is not optimal in its implementation, (2) there is still a lack of evaluation from management on the performance of banquet section employees for implementing SOP. Abstract

This research was conducted based on the rampant manga and anime piracy experienced by the Japanese as creators, which caused the Japanese government to experience enormous losses. so that the pirated site is not hit by a takedown, whether it’s by using a new web, a new domain or other sneaky ways to make the site safe from the security carried out by the Japanese. Not only that, the Japanese have also taken many preventive measures, but there are still gaps that can be passed for pirates to carry out their actions. action on the distribution of pirated manga, by making laws and regulations and punishments for the perpetrators of piracy, the Japanese have been able to reduce the number of existing piracy, but cannot prohibit it, with piracy still existing, the Japanese are still very dangerous about this version. This research uses qualitative methods, where this research uses books, e-books, journals, e-journals, websites, and also other literature studies. This study uses the perspective of Pluralism as well as role theory and the theory of protection of intellectual property rights. The results of this study are, with Japan’s losses which are estimated to reach trillions of yen in 2020-2022, Japan has succeeded in suppressing existing piracy rates, as well as making regulations and also being a pioneer in the creation of a new organization under the auspices of CODA, namely the International Anti-Piracy Organization (IAPO).
