Abstract

Sumatran Tiger is the one and only tiger’s species which is still survive by Indonesia after Bali Harimau and Java Harimau which is have become extinct already.The conversion of Forest become other landsuch asHTI(Industrial Plantation Forest) andpalm oilplantationsattend effect ofconflictbetweenhumansandtigers. The dataof this studyis expected tobe areference forconflictmitigation. This observation used by using transectmethod in 5 m width. The observation observe toward the sign ofthe existence oftigersandtheir animalspeciesin form oftrail, dirt, scratches, the rest of theanimal. Every existence of the tiger there will be a vegetation analysis by making plot. The Result found that there is existence of tiger at 3 transect and 3 segment of secondary forest, 3 transect and 6 segment at HTI. Meanwhile, there is no founding of tiger existence at palm oil. The effect transforming of conversion becoming palm oil is there is no existence of the tiger itself, it because of the high of human’s activity. Abstract

Since 2008, tourism department Kuantan Singingi district has let to the local community to manage the Guruh Gemurai waterfall in Desa Kasang Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. As long as, the local community in managing of the Guruh Gemurai waterfall is not run well. Because of that, the purpose of this research is to find out participation level among people in the community in manage Guruh Gemurai waterfall and to find out the relationship between the condition of economic, social, and culture of the people and participation level. The method of this reseach is Random Sampling. To know the level of participation is used Likert Scale and to know the correlation between participation with social economic and culture is used Chi Square analysis. The result of this study showed the level of community participation in handling Guruh Gemurai waterfall is middle level it is 67,5 %. This case couse, local community just handling in planning and running out. there was a conflict between the local community with tourism department, the characteristic of local community is farmer. Economic, social, and culture factor which have effect to participation level are action in group work tourism, side job and side income in the waterfall area. Social economic factor which don't have effect are education level, duration of recidence around location, number of family member, distance between home and tourism area, knowledge about history of the waterfall, participation in county management, potency of art and culture, main job and main income. Abstract

ABSTRACT One example of common law in Indonesia is common law in Kenegerian Rumbio, Kampar District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. Kenegerian Rumbio has banned indigenous forest still maintained continuity. The forest area is listed on the Forest department is approximately 530 ha. This is research used a snowball sampling technique, subjects were selected based on recommendations person to person according to research to be interviewed. Data collection methods used in this study were in-depth interviews, observation, and study documents. The data analysis was conducted in three phases. The first phase, researchers conducted an analysis that linked the answers intrasubjek subjects with theory and concepts related to the research. The second phase, conducted antarsubjek analysis comparing data from each subject. At this stage, researchers performed the interpretation of the data so as to achieve the purpose of research. The third phase, the data collected were then analyzed using descriptive analysis. Kenegerian Rumbio customary law has two forms of customary rules in the forest preserve customary prohibition, namely: the rules of the ban and the rules of thing is allowed. The rules of prohibition are: cutting down trees without permission from the ninik mamak, burn the forest, enable divert forest land, wildlife hunting, arrogant when entering the forest, and speaking dirty in the woods. While the form of the permitted rules are: take firewood (wood that is already dead), took the fruit has matured, and conduct scientific research. If there is a breach in the case, the perpetrator will be prosecuted according to the customary laws in Kenegerian Rumbio. The perpetrator will be given sanction in accordance with the agreement of the ninik mamak in the deliberations conducted in the customary hall.   Key word: common law, banned indigenous forest, ban, allowed

Abstract

Mangrove forest in the TelukPambang Village, Sub District of Bantan, Bengkalis District is managed by KelompokPengelola Mangrove (KPM) Belukap. KPM Belukap is an organization which is formed through a Co- Fish project’s program (rural development programs in the field of fisheries ). KPM Belukap has the purpose of managing mangrove forests (mangroves) that utilization is done wisely to ensure the balance of supply by continuing to maintain and protect the mangrove forest areas, improving the welfare of mangrove wood utilization users, monitoring and oversight of utilization of mangrove forests, as a place of discussion about mangrove forests. This study aims to determine the form and level of community participation, in this case KPM Belukap, to determine the forms of participation and a qualitative descriptive analysis was used and to measure the level of participation Likert scale was used. Analysis of Likert scale is able to indicate clearly the level of participation of members KPM Belukap on each form of participation which are planning , implementation , and utilization . The level of participation was obtained from the factors that influence which are knowledge and expertise , occupation , education , and culture ( the belief in a particular culture).  The results showed that the forms of public participation in the preservation of mangrove forests which is managed by KPM Belukap are planning, implementation, and utilization. The level of community’s participation in the conservation of mangrove forests which is managed by KPM Belukap is in the middle participation category with 14 people out of  20 respondents. Abstract

This research to get formulation the best of sausage from benefit of sago essence and meat of eel.  This research was carried out experiments using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications in order to obtain 16 experimental units. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). If the calculated F is greater than or equal to F table then continued with DNMRT test at 5% level. Sensory evaluation data show that by using PCA and cluster analysis, evaluation organoleptic by analysis hedonic with spider web to see attribute that protrude from every treatment. According to proceeds of chemists analysis and organoleptic experiment the best sausage get from 5% tapioca essence and 10% sago essence so that  treatment of TSB3 by characteristic like: activity of water 71,25%, activity of ashes 1,8%, activity of protein 8,9 %, activity of fat, activity 4,80%, carbohydrate 13,12% and experiment of color hedonic 2,24 %. Organoleptic evaluation by hedonic toward color 2,24 (rather agree), taste 1,97 (rather agree),  2,74 (rather agree) form 2,28 (rather agree) and over all evaluation 2,22 (rather agree) then organolepic evaluation by descriptive to color 2,52 (white grey), taste 2,20 (rather taste of eel), 2,43(rather stink), form 2,35 (elastic).   Kata kunci: susu fermentasi, Lactobacillus plantarum 1 R.11.1.2, kacang hijau dan kacang kedelai. Abstract

The purposes of this study were to analyze the level of acceptance by the panelists and to analyze the business feasibility of instant noodles made from Pelalawan local corn flour and tapioca. The research was conducted experimentally by making instant noodles from local corn flour and tapioca and then tested for panelists acceptance and business analysis. Data of panelists acceptance were analysis by Cochran’s Q test at the level of 5%. Test results show that Cochran's Q indicates the number of 5.455 which means H0 accepted with the understanding that the instant noodles made from local corn flour and tapioca were accepted by the panelists. Business analysis of instant noodles made from Pelalawan local corn flour and tapioca show that HPP values ​​obtained by the total cost were Rp. 1,268.05 and HPP from main total variable cost were Rp. 1,206.69. Profit obtained was Rp 221,048.37/20 kg of main raw materials. Business efficiency with RCR of 1.58. BEP based on the amount of production value were 191.48 and the BEP based on  production price were Rp. 1,268.05 with economic value were Rp. 239,580. Abstract

The objective of this research was to get the best combination flour formula in making  banana’s heart and fish meatball,  while in terms of the benefits of this research are expected to improve the utilization of sago palm as a source of local food. The method used in the research was Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with four replications of five treatments and treatment consists of TS1 (cassava flour 100 : sago starch 0), TS2 (cassava flour 75 : sago starch 25), TS3 (cassava flour 50 : sago starch 50), TS4 (cassava flour 25 : sago starch 75), TS5 (cassava flour 0 : sago starch 100).The result of the research shows that the combination cassava flour with sago starch significantly effect to the moisture content, ash content,   starch content,  taste, texture  and non significantly effect to the aroma, color, and overall. Based on the evaluation of organoleptic  hedonic test of color, aroma, taste, texture and overall, the panelist gives the evaluation from like to between quite like and quite dislike to the banana’s heart and fish sausage meatball. Abstract

Most of probiotic isolate is from overseas therefore it needs effort to obtain probiote acid lactid bacteria indigenus.Thepurposeof the research was to obtain viability of Lactobacillus plantarum 1 that isolated from spontaneous fermented soymilk on acid chloride and oxgall. This research used isolate of Lactobacillus plantarum 1 R.11.1.2, Lactobacillus plantarum 1 R.1.3.2,Lactobacillus acidophilus FNCC 0051 and Streptococcus thermophilus FNCC 0040 on medium addition with chloride acid at  pH 4, 3, and 2 and addition with oxgall 0.5%.The result showed thatL. plantarum1 R.11.1.2and L.plantarum 1 R.1.3.2 was survive and able to grow on pH 4 during 5 hours incubation.Lactobacillus plantarum1 R.11.1.2andL. plantarum 1 R.1.3.2was survive at pH 3 during 5 hours incubation. Lactobacillus plantarum1 R.11.1.2andL. plantarum 1 R.1.3.2 was unable to survive on pH 2 during neither 2.5 hours nor 5 hours incubation. Lactobacillusplantarum1 R.11.1.2and L.plantarum 1 R.1.3.2 was able to survive on medium with oxgall 0.5%. Keywords: Viability, Lactobacillus plantarum 1, ChlorideAcid, Oxgall

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to acquire best cookies which has high nutrition content from purple sweet potato flour and combination of tempe flour with small shrimp flour and agree with quality standard of cookies (SNI 01-2973-1992) that is maximum 5% of moisture content, maximum 2% of ash content and minimum 6% of protein content. This research used Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications. The treatments were K1 (tempe flour 95,24%, small shrimp flour 4,76%), K2 (tempe flour 71,43%, small shrimp flour 28,57%), K3 (tempe flour 47,62%, small shrimp flour 52,38%) and K4 (tempe flour 23,81%, small shrimp flour 76,19). Data were analized using ANOVA and DNMRT the level 5%. The result show that the using of tempe flour and small shrimp flour different in each treatments gave the significant effect to the moisture content, ash content, protein content and calcium content. Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine about information the choice ofselection criteria on chile varieties assembly in peatland. The research usedRandomized Block Design (RBD) consisted of 20 treatments with threereplications. The treatment consisted of 20 genotypes of chili that is genotype C2,C120, C51, C111, C105, C117, C118, C157, C159, F5110005-91-13-5,F5110005-91-13-12, F8002005-2-9-12-1, C140, C5, C18, C19, C143, F512005-5-11-1, C145 and C160. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance, furthertest DNMRT at 5% level and Pearson’s correlation. Parameters observed were:the age of flower appearance, height dichotomous, plant height, stem diameter,canopy width, leaf length, leaf width, age of harvest, fruit length, fruit stalklength, fruit diameter, weight per fruit and weight of fruit per plant. The resultsshowed that there is a positive correlation between the parameters of weight perfruit, fruit length, fruit stalk length, leaf width and leaf length to weight of fruit perplant.C143 is a genotype that has the highest value of weight per fruit. GenotypeC111 has the highest value of fruit lenght and fruit stalk length. Genotype C51has the highest value of leaf width and genotype F5110005-91-13-12 has thehighest value of leaf length.Keyword : Chili, Selection, Correlation, Peatland
