Abstract

This reaserch aimed to know level of importance of belief, evaluation,normative belief, motivation attitude and behavior of farmers for saving productsPT. Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, Unit Danamon Simpan Pinjam Pasar BaganBatu. Source of data was primary data from interview with respondents usingaccidental sampling. The data was analysis by fishbein model show consumer'sattitude to certain object and to know consumer's decision making process. Thisfishbein model explain of belief and evaluation of atribut PT. Bank DanamonIndonesia Tbk, Unit Danamon Simpan Pinjam Pasar Bagan Batu used includedinterest rates, promotion, gifts, location, friendliness of employees, savingadministration of processes, service employees and government guarantees.The dominant atribut was fill up by consumer's in belief is promotion andevaluation is interest rates. The result showed that absolute behaviour (AB) scored13.79, subjective normative (SN) scored 0.57 and behaviour intention (BI) scored532.62. The positive value of BI (>0) indicated that behaviour intention to savingproducts PT. Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, Unit Danamon Simpan Pinjam PasarBagan Batu is good. The most important variable of belief is promotion, andvariable of evaluation is interest rates. Abstract

The research purpose was to estimate the shelf life of noodle from sagostarch and catfish (Pangasius sp.). Shelf life is one of the requirements that mustbe met before marketing of food products. Shelf life estimation was using theaccelerated method of observation of instant noodles for 28 days at three differenttemperatures namely 35°C, 45°C and 55°C. Parameters observed during thestorage process were the assessment of sensory level of rancidity and TBA value.Results show that shelf life of sago instant noodle by organoleptic assessment was35,81 days and the shelf life of sago instant noodle by TBA value was 44,85 daysat a temperature of 27oC. For food quality and safety reason, the shorter shelf lifeperiod (35,81 days) was choosen as shelf life of sago instant noodle.Keyword : sago, catfish, noodle, shelf life, accelerated method

Abstract

The low of price Acacia log is caused by coorperative operation betweenplantation forest with forest product industry in implementation on PermenhutP.29/2012. The aims of the study were to know: determinant factors and costproduction of Acacia mangium and Acacia crassicarpa plantation forest, the priceof A. mangium and A. crassicarpa log based by cost production, and the financialanalysis of plantation forest used the price log based on production cost ofplantation forest and actual price of log Acacia. Reasearch is conducted in AraraAbadi Company in Distric of Rasau Kuning and Pusaka. Data analysis is usedproduction cost of plantation forest at 3th and 4th rotation are land clearing,seedling, planting, weeding, harvesting, tansporting and potential stands. This dataused to find the price of Acacia log in industry. The actual price of Acacia inmarket was got from interview. Data analysis used the financial analysis byparameters Net Present Value, Benefit Cost Ratio, and Internal Rate of Return.The assumtion of study used interest rate (15%) and plantation forest bussines (5years). The result of study showed that the determinant factors are purchasementof seed, land potential, salary of planting, salary of over cultivate take, salary ofwood cut and cost carry to pile place of log and salary of cultivate KCa. Theproduction cost and the log price of A. crassicarpa plantation forest is higher thanA. mangium. Abstract

The purpose of this researchare : (1) to determine the organizing of extension  oil  palm  plantation in Sari Galuh Village Tapung Sub-District of Kampar. (2) to determineThe Nucleus Estate Smallholder (NES) farmers perceptions about the importance the role of extension on oil palm plantations. Research method was survey, while 48 farmers were itnterviewed as respondent, in term of analysis, Scale Likert's Summated Rating (SLR) was used to answer the objective of this research. The  resultshowed that organizing  of  extension has been running well according the element of extension.The NES farmers perceive that the role of extension is quite important to be implemented, it can be seen from : (1)Facility  process  study  atquite important category; (2)Amenity access  atquite important category; (3)Ability of leadership atquite important category;(4)Developing organizational atquite important category;(5)Analysing and solving problem at important category;(6)  Developing  awareness  at  important category;(7)Institutionalizing cultural values atquite important category;(8)Supervision or construction at quite important category;(9)Evaluation atquite important category.   Keywords:Perception, The Nucleus Estate Smallholder (NES) farmers,  roleof extension, oil palm plantation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level participation of member as owner and determine the level participation of member as client or consumer. This research using survey method. The sample determineusing bysimple random sampling. Analysed data were descriptive with using Likert’s Summated Rating Scale.The results of research provided that participation level of members as owner reside in medium category, which mean the members ofcooperatives saving and loan Hati Nurani have enough participate in taking decision, in capital contribution and in cooperation observation. The participation of members as client or consumer reside in high category, because the members have actived participate in exploitingservices which provide bycooperation. The participation of members in decision making, shall attendance members in meeting of members annual and in given suggestion or criticism shall more improve in order to help the foster growth of cooperation. Participation in cooperation observation shall more improve through a members involvement although in cooperation had formed  supervisor team.   Keywords: participation,saving and loan cooperatives, scale likert’s

Abstract

The success of a business can be measured by its financial performance. Information on financial performance is very important because it will be able to evaluate financial aspects that improve financial performance and avoid the business from the threat of bankruptcy. The objective of this study is to analyse financial performance of oil palm smallholders plantation in Pelalawan Regency. Then, a comparative study amongs different types of smallholders was also implemented. Three types of smallholder plantation are examined in this study, i.e., KKPA, PIR and Swadaya. Four financial performance indicators have been used in this analyses such as independent sample t test of profitability ratio, liquidity ratio, solvability ratio, and effectivity ratio. The results shows that the smallholders have relatively good financial performance. There is no significant difference in income between KKPA and PIR while the income is significantly different between scheme smallholders (KKPA and PIR) and Independent smallhorders.   Keyword : financial performance, profitability, liquidity, solvability, effectivity

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the income of Root Water trader at Tampan Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City. Root Water  is a traditional healthy drink from West Sumatera. This is the first research that talks about Root Water at Agribusiness Major, Agricultural Faculty, Riau University. Method which is used at this research is census method. The amount of respondent on this research are 21 traders. Business scale of this research is categorized as micro-scale business, as the number of employee that is participated on this business is only one or two participant per single operational day. None of the business owner at this research went bankrupt. According to the result of this research, the number of average net profit (advantage) from root water trader at Tampan Subdistrict Pekanbaru City is Rp.3.591.390,-. Abstract

Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis jacq) is one of profitable crops in Riau Province. Oil palm plantations have been cultivated by various type of business including large enterprises and smallholders. Oil palm has been grown by a large number of population in the Province of Riau.  In the village of Sei Lambu Makmur, District of Tapung, Regency of Kampar, the oil palm plantation are at the end of the economic life . To maintain sustainable production the oil palm trees should be replanted. There are three alternative replanting models i.e., conventional, underplanting, and conventional with intercropping. Conventional and underplanting are possible models for smallholders and mill. This aim of this research is to analyse the most suitable model for the condition of the smallholders. Primary data was collected by direct interview with oil palm smallholders while secondary data was obtained from relevant agencies. This study analysis the feasibility of the replanting models by using four investment criteria is NPV, IRR , Net B/C and sensitivity analysis. The results show that underplanting is the most suitable model for smallholder. However, the conventional model is the most efficient model from the mill’s point of view.   Keyword: oil palm, replanting model, NPV, IRR, sensitivity analysis

Abstract

Recently, the Economic Performance of Women Group Farmer through Rural Agribusiness Development (PUAP) become an important issue in Indonesia. The objective of this study is to observe economic performance of the Women Group Farmer in Pandan Wangi Village. The method of survey was used in this research. Data was collected using purposive sampling based on criteria such as, active members in PUAP, Age of 15 to 64 years, more than six year business experience in agriculture. The study use Likert’s Summated Rating Scale(LSRS) to analyse participation of respondents. The results show that category of economic performance of the women group farmer is moderate with score 3.07. The use of capital has improved significantly the business performance, farmers’ income and their wellfare. Keywords:Performance,Women Farmer, PUAP, Economic Factors

Abstract

The Reseacrh conducted in Microfinance Institution of UEK-SP Bulan Purnama Padang Bulan Village Senapelan Distric Pekanbaru City. The aim of research is to analysis a social performance and financial performance of Microfinance Institution. The social performance using the MIX Market analysis tool comprised of 16 indicators and measure financial performance analysis tools Pearlscon sistsof 17 ratios. Secondary data obtained by the method of documentation in the form of financial statements from 2009 to 2013 which comprises the balance sheet, loan statements, reports results of operations, the general state of the research and inany other information deemed necessary to supportand complement the data as well as data from related agencies among the research. Social performance of UEK-SP Bulan Purnama has achieved the social and social mission seen is out real and the dept of out reach of IMF, UEK-SP. The financial performance of UEK-SP Bulan Purnama showed that 17 rasio indicator PEARLS There are 8 indicators are in an ideal condition while the 9 indicators of the conditions are not ideal protection Ratios (Protection) (P1,P2), the ratio of out standing loans (E1), Delinquency ratio or Non Perfoaming Loan (A1), the ratio ofnetincome (R12), The ratio of current assets ungenerate (L3), Assets growth (S1) , Loangrowth (S2) and the growth of institutional capital (S6).   Keywords: UEK-SP, Social Performance, Financial Performance.
