Abstract

This study research conducted in April 2016 in District Batang Tuaka Indragiri Hilir. This study aims to determine: 1) the effect of household income toward fishermen wife fertility in District Batang Tuaka Indragiri Hilir, 2) the influence of husband and wife education toward the fishermen wife fertility in District Batang Tuaka Indragiri Hilir, 3) the influence of working time toward the fishermen wife fertility in District Batang Tuaka Indragiri Hilir, 4) the effect of the first marriage age of fertility wife fishermen in District Batang Tuaka Indragiri Hilir, 5) the effect of contraceptives using toward the fishermen wife fertility in District Batang Tuaka Indragiri Hilir. The method used in this reseacrh was survey method, with 76 respondents. Consisting of two villages namely Sungai Luar were 42 couples and 34 married couples Sungai Piring. Based on the research results of this study concluded that: Family income variable (X1) significantly affects the fisherman's wife Fertility in District Batang Tuaka Indragiri Hilir, Respondents' education level variable (X3) significantly affects the fisherman's wife Fertility in District Batang Tuaka Indragiri Hilir, Variable working time hours (X4) significantly affects the fisherman's wife Fertility in District Batang Tuaka Indragiri Hilir, The variable age at first marriage (X5) did not significantly influence the Fisherman's wife Fertility in District Batang Tuaka Indragiri Hilir, Variable duration of use of contraceptives (X6) significantly affects the fisherman's wife Fertility in District Batang Tuaka Indragiri Hilir Keyword : Factors, Fertility, Firsheman Wife, Batang Tuaka

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis aim of this research is to understand consumer acceptance on the nori seaweed (Gracilaria sp.) with different cayenne pepper concentrations and to find resulting product.The method usedexperimental method, with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) non factorial with 4 levels treatmentP0 (control),P1 (2%), P2 (4%) and P3 (6%). The result of this research showed the most like organoleptic by consumer that P2 treatment(4%) was the best treatment with characteristics: the flavors were a bit salty and quite spicy, brownish green color, crunchy texture,the distinct aroma of chili with moisture value (9,17), ash  (22,15%), protein (12,59%), and fat content (0,23%).Keywords: Gracilaria sp.,Cayenne Pepper, Organoleptic, Proximate.

Abstract

The area around Air Hitam river has been used for settlements. Remains of domestic activities may enter and pollute the water. The pollutant may disturb the life of aquatic organism, especially gastropod. This research aims to identify gastropod that lives in the Air Hitam River. This research was conducted at the Air Hitam River Pekanbaru in April-June 2016. There were three sampling stations namely Stasion I (in the up-stream), Stasion II (middle), and Stasions III (downstream). Samplings were conducted 3 times, once/week. Results shown that there are six species of gastropod lived in the Air Hitam River, namely Bellamya sp., Pila globosa., Melanoides prashadi, Gyraulus sp., Thiara riqueti and Lymnaea persica. The water quality parameters are as follows: temperature 290C, turbidity 7.54-15.83 NTU, depth 17-24.5 cm, current speed 12.5-25 cm/s, pH 6, dissolved oxygen 2.02-5.05 mg/L, and free carbon dioxide 9.9-11.9 mg/L.Keywords : Gastropod, Air Hitam River, Melanoides sp., Thiara sp., Lymnaea sp

Abstract

The study wasconducted from 3stof May to 10th June 2017.The research to do cultivation technology faculty of fisheries and marine University of Riau.The research was conducted to determine the dose of recombinant growth hormone (rGH) of Ephinepelus lanceolatus supplemented in the commercial diet that generates the best performance on body weight, body length, specific growth rate, survival rate, feed efficiency, and feed convertion rate of river Bawal Air Tawar (Colossoma macroponum)in resirculation system.The dose of rElGH administrated was 1, 2, 3 and 4 mg/kg of commercial feed and no rGHsupplementation as control. Each treatment was design in triplicates. Pomfret fish at average 3-4 cm were reared in aaquarium in a density 10 fish/aquarium for 30 days. The fish were fed with the rElGH suplplemented diet once a three days at satiation. The results showed that growth body weight of 2 mg/kg feed was (8,25g), Specific growth rate 9,21 %, feed efficiency (107,7%), Feed convertion rate (0,96%),(P<0.05) than other treatment.Length of 2 mg/kg feed was 4,02 cm higher than other treatment, Survival rate of 3 mg/kg feed was 100 %.(P>0.05) than other treatment. Thus, supplementation rGH 2 mg/kg feed of Pomfret fish once in three days can be applied in enhance the growth Pomfret fish with a best performance of growth.Keyword: Pomfret fish, recombinant growth hormone, resirculation system

Abstract

 ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in June 2017 in Tapian Nauli I Village, Tapian Nauli Subdistrict, Tapanuli Tengah Regency, North Sumatera Province. The purpose of this study to determine the social and economic characteristics of fisherman households, and the level of welfare of household fisherman owners and fisherman laborers  in the Village Tapian Nauli I. The method used in this research is a survey method. Retrieval of respondents using proportionate stratified random sampling. The technical analysis used are descriptiveanalysis and bogardus analysis. The result showed that social and economic characteristics of the fisherman is the age of fisherman as much as 72% classified as very productive.Educational level of the average fisherman still belongs to low. The number of dependent families of fishermen as much as 56% belongs to the medium. The fisherman’s family has two income there were fixed income from fishing, and income from several their wives. The income of fisherman is moderate. The level of fisherman ownerswelfare based on BKKBN (Badan Koordinasi Keluarga Berencana Nasional) is as much as 80% are on welfare level phase I, while 90% of fisherman laborers areat the level of  welfare phase I. Keywords: prosperity, fisherman, bkkbn, Tapian Nauli I Village.

Abstract

This study was conducted from May 16 until July 4 2016 in the fish hatchery and breeding laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Sciences Faculty of Riau University. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of light (dark, light, sunlight) and the type of feed (Tubifex sp and pellet) on colour quality, growth and survival rate Platy fish (Xiphophorus helleri). Experimental method used in this study was completely randomized design with factorial 3 x 2 x 3. The first factor was light consist of dark light, bulb light and sun, while the second factor was type food (Tubifex sp. feed and TAKARI pellet) with three replications. The fish was reared in 3 L aquarium those reared with dark and bulb light were dow inside and that with sun light was dow outside.The result showed that the best treatment from that all is to giving sunlight and feed the platy with Tubifex sp and the sunlight given TAKARI Pellet feed can improve the colour quality till level 30 of sunlight level. Treatment with feed Tubifex sp provide the absolute best length of 2.40 cm and the fish weights from the absolute best in sun light treatments with feed Tubifex sp can increase to 0.34 g. The Best survival rate in treatment without light / dark, sunlight, lamplight with feed Tubifex sp and sunlight, lamplight with Pellet feed TAKARI of 94.44%. and for the Results of water quality measurements: temperature ranging from 26.1 to 31.3 ° C, pH range between 6.6 to 7.3 and DO ranged from 4.2 to 6.3 ppm.Key word: the colour quality of fish, Xiphophorus helleri, Growth, Survival Rate

Abstract

Ecotourism is a tourist trip to a natural region in order to conserve or save the environment and provide welfare to the local population. This research was conducted in February-March 2017 at Tureloto beach, North Nias, North Sumatera Province. The study aims to determine the potential of marine ecotourism and aspects of the strength of Tureloto beach to be developed as a marine ecotourism area. The method used in this research is survey method and station point determination by purposive sampling. Mainland coastal Tureloto is the result of removal of the seabed one to three meters above sea level due to the earthquake that occurred in 2005. Value of Travel Assessment Index that is on Station I, II, III and IV is 79.5%, 89.1%, 76.3% and 64.1% respectively. Assessment of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, the development of Tureloto's coastal potential is assessed from observations at research sites, interviews and questionnaires. Tureloto Beach has the potential as a marine ecotourism area such as pristine, natural and exotic natural beauty, marine biota and various coral reefs, history of coastal geology, waters conservation zonation system as well as research resources. Aspects of Tureloto's coastal strengths are, empowerment of local communities and on the coastal can be added a place to relax.Keyword: Potential, Marine Ecotourism, Tureloto Beach

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was supposed to find out how was the increation of Pantai Carocok Turism’ Contributies that affected by tourist attraction, amenities, facilities and infrastructure and also acommodation development which led to increasing visitor amount significantly every years. Tourism revenue is the largest source of regional income in Pesisir Selatan Regency, one of the tourism objects that provide the greatest contribution to the Original Revenue is a Pantai Carocok Tourism. Analysing data by using descriptive analysis, research method using survey method, the data needed is secondary data with data source is the Department of Tourism and the Office of Revenue and Management of Finance and Regional Assets (DPPKAD). Judging from Pantai Carocok Painan tourism revenue data, tourism contribution consisting of contribution of hotel, restaurant, tourist attraction, ticket sales and parking area of Pantai Carocok area can contribute on average from 2012-2016 as much as 5,51% from Local Own Revenue Pesisir Selatan Regency where the highest contribution of the object occurred in the year 2016 that is as much as 8,02% and the tourism sector contributes the most is the entrance fee of Pantai Carocok area is 2.4%. Abstract

The research was conducted during of April 2016 in the village of kwalagebang Village gebang District of North Sumatra. The purpose of this study was to determine the composition of the catches of anchovy purse seine net which operated at the time before and after midnight. The method used a survey method. Results from the study showed that the after midnight operation period ( 00:00 till 04:00 ) broughthigher catches as much as 375 kg than before midnight.Keywords : composition of the catch, anchovy purse seine, before midnight, after midnight

Abstract

This research was conducted in April 2016 located in Pondok BatuVillage, Sarudik Subdistrict, Tapanuli Tengah Regency, North SumateraProvince. The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics offishermen's wive, to analyze the time division of the fisherman wife between therole of housewife and the additional income earner and to describe the role of thefisherman wife in increasing the household income. The method used in thisresearch is survey method. Respondents in this research is the wife of fishermanwho work outside the house amounted to 25 peopleBased on the research result that the role of fisherman wife in increasingthe household income of fisherman have characteristic that generally aged (16-45years old) is classified as very productive age with number 22 soul. Educationlevel of fisherman wife is elementary school graduate amounted to 14 soul, themost dominant family count is 6-7 with 13 souls. Experience of wife of fishermanwork that is> 8 year with amount of 17 soul. Curious working hours given by thefisherman's wife are as daily necessity traders around 84 hours / week, asprocessing of fishery products about 28 hours / week, as factory workers about 56hours / week and as animal raising around 28 hours / week. The average incomeearned by fishermen's wife every month from the profession as the processing offishery products as much as Rp.625.900, as a day-to-day trader of Rp. 350.000, asfactory worker of Rp. 500.000 and animal raising Rp.430.000Key words: Role, Fisherman’s wife, Pondok Batu
