Abstract

ABSRACT This research was conducted in March 2017 located in Sipungguk Village, Salo Sub-district, Kampar District, Riau Province. The objectives to be achieved in this study is to determine the feasibility of fish farming Patin and to determine the level of sensitivity Patin fish farming in ponds. Location determination is done intentionally (purposive). Determination of respondents in this study is fish farmers Patin in Sipungguk Village Salo Sub District Kampar Regency Riau Province amounted to 7 people. Determination technique of respondents in this study using census method, where all members of fish farmers Patin be 7 respondents. This is in accordance with the opinion of Arikunto (2010), if the number of small respondents from 100 people data collection methods used by census. The result of feasibility analysis showthat (1) fish farming business of Desa Sipungguk is financially feasible with positive NPV investment criteria of IDR 711,668,578, BCR 1.37, IRR 65,13% and Payback Period 4 years (2) sensitivity analysis conducted on fish farming business Patin Sipungguk Village is not sensitive to changes in cost increment by 10%, decrease of benefits by 10%, and cost increase and decrease of benefit by 10%.Keywords: Patin Fish, business feasibility, cultivation, financial, sensitivity

Abstract

This research was conducted in Apri 2016 – May 2016 for 28 days at the Hall Brackish Water Fisheries Ujung Bate, Aceh Province. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of calcium oxide (CaO) on moulting exceerate and survival rate windu shrimp (Penaeus monodon). Windu shrimp size PL25 were used in the research. The container used stoples with capacity 25 liters and the volume of water used is 20 liters. The treatment is giving of calcium oxide 45 mg/L, 60 mg/L, 75 mg/L, 90 mg/L and added the control treatment. This research uses a completely randomized design (CRD), 5 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the best treatment contained in P3 (75 mg/L) with the addition of calcium oxide as much the amount of shrimp molting 57 times. the absolute length of 2.82 cm, the absolute weight of 0.300 grams, daily growth rate of 6.78% and 85 % survival rate.Keywords: Calcium oxide, Penaeus monodon, moulting, survival rate

Abstract

Social capital is the ability of a fisherman or fishermen group who work together to build a network to achieve the common goals in improving the quality of life that includes trust, institutions and social networks. This research is about social capital that is formed on fishermen group in Bagan Deli Village, Medan Belawan Sub-district, Medan city, North Sumatera Province. The method used in this research is case study by in-depth interview, observation and documentation study which is analyzed qualitative descriptive.The results showed that the existence of social capital in the group of fishermen Berkah Bahari can be seen through the dimensions of bonding, bridging and linking. Berkah Bahari fishermen groups have forms of social capital such as trust/trusting relationships, institutions, and good social networks in the level of individuals / members within the group or outside the group. The most dominant form of social capital in the Berkah Bahari fishermen group and fellow fishermen other than the Berkah Bahari fishermen group is the relation of mutual trust and social network compared by the relatively low institutions.Keywords: social capital, fisher group,Berkah Bahari, Bagan Deli

Abstract

This research aimed to observe the different of vacum package system and nonvacum on the smoke eel (Monopterus albus) quality added with lemongrass stored at room temperature. The research method used was comparative experiment between vacum package and nonvacum package and the data collected were analyzed by using T test. Smoke eel evaluated with organoleptic, water content analysis, TBA and staphylococcus aurerus bacteria. The result showed that best organoleptic score appearance (2,33), aroma (2,25), texture (2,19) and taste (2,14) on vacum smoke eel which had lowest water content value ( 24,92%) and best TBA value (1,47%). Staphylococcus aurerus bacteria was not found on smoke eel.Keywords: Monopterus albus, nonvacum, smoke eel, vacum

Abstract

The research was to evaluate the effect of boiling with different water volume fish ratio on salt contention and proximate composition of salted trash fish. Salted trash fish obtained from salted fish collectors were grouped into different species of fish.The trash fish was boiled for 15 minutes with ratio of water volume to fish ratio of 3: 1, 4: 1, 5: 1, and 6: 1. Fish then was made for fish meal and the trash fish was analyzed for salt, protein, fat, and NPN . The results showed the salt content of fish meal decreased with the greater volume of boiling water. Salt consentrat of fishmeal processed by boiling in the water and fish 3:1, 4:1, 5:1, and 6:1 reduced from 13,62% to 2,61%, 2,40%, 2,22%, 1,70% respectively. Protein,fat, NPN also decreased from 29,96%, 3,97%, 1,69% respectively before boiling to 19,81%, 2,20%, 0,53% respectively after boiling.Keywords: trash fish salted, boiled

Abstract

ABSTRACT            This research was conducted on March 21st until 25th 2017 in Buluh China Village, SiakHulu Sub District, Kampar District, Riau Province. This study aims to determine the amount of investment costs, income, profits and to determine the feasibility of fish farming business Tapah in the Village Buluh China SiakHuluSubdistrict Kampar Riau Province. The method used in this research is survey method.The average investment incurred by the Tapah fish farmers in Buluh China is Rp.28.634.071, - with the income earned is an average of Rp.35.000.000,- with an average profit of Rp.12.402.143,- per harvest. Feasibility analysis obtained is the average value of Revenue Cost of Ratio (RCR) 1,55 then the fish farming business Tapah in the village of Buluh China is worth to continue. With the averageFinancial Rate of Return (FRR) value is 39,74 and the average Payback Period of Capital(PPC) value of  3,21 is the repayment period of Tapah fish farming business in Buluh China Village is 3 years 3 months.Keywords :Business Analysis, Tapah Fish, Chinese Buluh Village, Feasible

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of feeding fermented with probiotic on, absolute body weight, absolute body length, specific growth rate, survival, feed efficiency and feed conversion rate of African catfish preserved biofloc techniques. The treatment in this study was the dose used for the fermentation of feed are 2 ml / kg (P1), 4 ml / kg (P2), 6 ml / kg (P3), and control (feed without fermented). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. 4-5 cm catfish were kept in the plastic tank with stocking density of 500 fish/m3 for 56 days. The fish are fed three times a day at satiation. The results showed fermented feed with probiotic on biofloc system affect absolute body weight, absolute length, specific growth rate, feed efficiency, and feed conversion rate of african catfish significantly, but did not affect survival rate. The best treatment was obtained from P3 which gives absolute body weight of 110.09 grams, absolute body length of 15.51 cm, specific growth rate of 8.03%, 92.62% survival rate, feed efficiency 117.22%, as well as feed conversion of 0.85.Keyword: Probiotic, catfish, biofloc technology

Abstract

Trichogaster pectoralis is a root grazer fish and it may be used to control the population of aquatic weeds such as Eichhornia crassipes. To understand the ability of the fish in controlling the weed, a laboratory scaled research has been conducted from April-May 2016. There were 5 treatments applied, namely ±25 grams fish (Bm25), ±50 grams fish (Bm50), ±75 grams fish (Bm75) that were reared in 25 liter tank completed with ±150 grams E. crassipes. As controls, ±150 grams weed was reared in tank without any fish (Ke150) and ±50 grams fish (Ki50) was reared in tank without weed. Results shown that T. pectoralis was able to control E. crassipes population. Each treatment speed up the decrement of E. crassipes population, but the best result was shown by Bm75. In this treatment, the population of E. crassipes reduced into 95.33 grams by the 28th day.Keywords: Trichogaster pectoralis, Eichhornia crassipes, root grazer, weed control

Abstract

 ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2017 yang berlokasi di Desa Lirik Area Kecamatan Lirik Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu Provinsi Riau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan dan keberhasilan program CSR PT Pertamina dalam bidang budidaya perikanan, Serta untuk mengetahui tingkat pengaruh dan kepentingan lembaga/stakeholder terhadap program budidaya perikanan pada kelompok Tumbuh Bersama. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 18 orang, dimana penentuan responden dilakukan secara sensus.Program CSR yang dilakukan PT Pertamina merupakan budidaya perikanan. Pelaksanaan program budidaya kelompok Tumbuh Bersama mengalami perubahan dan perkembangan seperti: pengurangan dan penambahan jumlah anggota dan perkembangan pengetahuan para anggota. Keberhasilan yang telah dicapai kelompok ialah mampu membudidayakan ikan yg sesuai dengan prosedur CBI, membuat pakan secara mandiri yang berstandar SNI dan mendirikan sebuah koperasi bagi para anggota kelompok. Adapun stakeholder yang terkait dengan program seperti : Dinas Perikanan Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu, Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu, BP3KKP, Desa Lirik Area, Investor/Pengusaha, Masyarakat Lokal, dan Pembudidaya ikan. Para stakeholder memiliki kepentingan masing-masing yang terlibat dalam penerimaan informasi, pemberi pertimbangan dan pengambil kebijakan.Kata Kunci : Program CSR, Evaluasi, Budidaya Perikanan, Lirik Area.

Abstract

This research was aimed to obtain the best amount of seaweed (Eucheuma cottonii) flour in processing of catfish (Pangasius hypophthalmus) empek-empek from organoleptic quality and chemical analysis aspects. The seaweed (Eucheuma cottonii) was obtained directly from seaweed cultivation in Tanjung Medang water of north Rupat, Bengkalis regency, Riau. This research used completely randomized design, one factor with four levels of treatment 0%, 10%, 15% and 20%. The results of the study was very significant effect on organoleptic value includes the appearance, taste, aroma, texture and chemical values which include water content, fat content, ash content, whereas the levels of protein and calcium were significantly different. Based on parameters tested, the best treatment was the catfish empek-empek with addition 10% of seaweed flour, with appearance (7.99) of light brown colour, fish flavor more pronounced (7.61), fish aroma (7.61), solid, compact and chewy texture (7.26), and 65.97% of water content, 14.10% of protein content, 7.65% of fat content, 4.86% of ash content and 17.18 mg / 100 g of calcium content.Keywords: Empek-empek, Pangasius hypopththalmus, Quality, characteristics, Eucheuma cottonii
