Abstract

ABSTRACT      This study was purposed to determine the consumer acceptance of small shrimp meat ball using dried and fresh raw material of smallshrimp (Acetes erythtraeus).The research method used was a comparative-experimental method and analyzed by using T test to compare the using of dried shrimp meatballs and the fresh one. The parameters used were organoleptic evaluation (color, texture, flavor and taste) and chemical analysis (the content of water, protein and fat). The results showed that the meat ball using the dried shrimp as the raw material was indicating more accepted by the consumers,at the rate of 62.19%, rather than using the fresh one.The product was characterized to yellowish gray color, typical aroma of shrimp, coarse fiber texture and contained water 41.16%, protein 23.36%, and fat 8.67%.            Key words:Acetes erythraeus, Consumer, Small shrimp

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to obtain the selected percentage of tapioca flour substitution with durian seeds flour in the manufacture of snakehead fish ball various color. The method used in this study was the experimental method that was processing the snakehead fish ball of various color substituted tapioca flour with durian seed flour, the design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) non factorial by comparing consumer acceptance from preliminary research result that was six levels of treatment substituted tapioca flour with durian seeds flour B0 100% : 0%, B1 80% : 20%, B2 60% : 40%, B3 40% : 60%, B4 20% : 80%, B5 0% : 100%. The most preferred panelists were on B2 treatment 60% : 40%. And then the B2 treatment of preliminary used as the main research, which was given three natural dyes in the form of red yeast rice (Monascus purpureus), carrot (Daucus carrota), and sweet leaf (Sauropus androgynus) with 10% concentrations of each. Based on the results of research that the treatment of 60% trapioca flour and 40% durian seeds flour with 10% dyes of red yeast rice (Monascus purpureus) was the best quality with the proximate value of water content 65.37%, protein content 14.28%, and fiber content 9.75%. Keywords: durian seeds flour, fishball various colour,snakehead, substitution

Abstract

AbstractNerita lineata is one type of mollusc from the family Neritidae which has economic value. This research was conducted in Maret 2018 located at the mangrove forest of Sungai Cingam Village, Rupat Sub District, Bengkalis Regency. This research was aimed to determine the population structure N. lineata which cover density, distribution patterns and size distribution. This research used survey method and sampling location determined by purposive sampling. Measurement of water quality was done by in situ and ex situ which consist of physics and chemical parameters. Condition of N. lineata habitat was muddy sand, sandy mud and sandy. Sediment organic matter was medium and very high 2.97-30.58 %. The water quality parameters are still support for the life of the gastropods. The average density was 3.45 ind/m2. The highest density was in station II and the lowest in station I. The distribution pattern was grouping. The size of the gastropods found has a length 10-26 mm.Keyword: Population Structure, Density, Distribution Patterns, Nerita lineata.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted on November 2017 at Nusantara Port of Sibolga, North Sumatera Province. The purpose of this study is to study the timing of the catching season to catch tuna (Euthynnus Affinis) and to obtain fluctuation of catch fish in Sibolga waters. This study uses survey method, monthly production data and data effort obtained from VAT Sibolga, North Sumatra Province and analyzed with the average percentage based on time series. Based on the calculation of the average percentage method so as to get the Season of the Catching Index (IMP) for five years, fish Tongkol in Sibolga waters can be caught throughout the year. The catching season is in March, April, May and November with the peak of the arresting season in November that is in the West season. Key word : The pattern of tuna fishing season

Abstract

AbtracOne of the public service in Cilacap Fishing Port is the issuance of port clearance. Port clearance must be owned by  fishing vessels as the requirement for fishing activites. The public service must be implemented with a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) based on Indonesia’s Ministry of Marine and Fisheries. This study aims to determine wheter the port clearance’s service has implemented according to the SOP or not and to find out the level of service quality of the port clearance’s service by using Servqual’s concept. This research was conducted at Cilacap Fishing Port using purposive sampling method by spreading questionnaire for 43 respondents. Descriptive’s Analysis based on the respondent's answers obtained through questionnaires distributed by researcher. The result of this research shows that the port clearance’s service has implemented  SOP about 98,62% and service quality is 99,46% or very good.Key word : Port Clearance, Standard Operating Procedure, Service Quality, Fishing Port,  and Fishing Vessel.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was conducted for 56 days from August to October 2017. The aim of this research was to know percentage of fermented leucaena leaf meal in the diets to substitute soybean meal and its effect on growth and feed efficiency of Tambaqui fingerling. Completely randomized design (CRD) was used in this experiment, with one factor, five level treatments and three replications. The fish used in this research with size 3-5 cm in 0,6-0,8 g of weight. Fish were reared in 1 m3 cages with stocking density 25 fish/cages. Feeding trial were replacing soybean meal with fermented leucaena leaf meal applied to P1 (0%), P2 (10%), P3 (20%), P4 (30%), and P5 (40%)for 35% of protein content. The result showed that fermented leucaena leaf meal gave significant effect (P>0,05) on growth, feed efficiency and feed digestibility of Tambaqui fingerling. Replacement 30% fermented leucaena leaf meal produce the highest specific growth rate 4,9%, feed efficiency 47,1% and feed digestibility 71,26%.Key word :Colossoma macropomum,Fermentation, Growth, Leucaena Leaf Meal, Soybean Meal.

Abstract

ABSTRACT            The aim of research was to assess the added effect of recombinantEpinepheluslanceolatus GrowthHormone (rElGH) on feed toward the growth performance and survival rate of fish seed slice (Ompokhypopthalmus). Culture vessel in the form of net bags of 1 x 1 x 1 meters of 20 bags with stocking density of 30 fish/m3.This research was using experimental method by completely random design (RAL) one factor with five treatments and four replications. The treatments were :P0= rElGH 0 mg/kg of feed, P1= rElGH 6 mg/kg of feed, P2= rElGH 12 mg/kg of feed, P3= rElGH 18 mg/kg of feedand P4= rElGH 24 mg/kg of feed. The results showed that the combination of rElGH in feed, showed highly significant effect (P<0.05) of the total weight, total length, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio, and no significant effect (p>0.05) to survival rate. value growth and the level of the best survival was found in treatment P2 with a value weight total: 3,85±0,46 gram, length total: 3,60±0,15 cm, specific growth rate: 5,56±0,32%  per day, feed conversion ratio: 1,10±0,12 and survival rate: 100 ± 0.00%. Keywords: Fish Slice, recombinantEpinepheluslanceolatus Growth Hormone,  Growth

Abstract

Abstract Pristolepis grootii is a type of freshwater fish that commonly inhabit the Pekak Lake, but information on biological aspects of this fish, including morphometric, meristic, and growth patterns is rare. To understand those characteristics, a research had been conducted from November 2017 to January 2018. There were 100 fishes (54-125 mm SL and 7.87-89.04 gr BW) were captured from the lake. There were 26 morphological characteristics measured and 10 meristical characteristics counted. Results hown that the meristical characteristics were as follows: D.XII-XIV.13-16, P.26, V.II-VIII.8-10, A.III.6-8, C.12-14, the number of scales in the pre-dorsal fin was 10-12, around the body was 18-32, in the caudal peduncle was 6-14, and in the lateral line was 38-48. The only morphometrical characteristic that shown difference in male and female was the distance between mouth and eye, it was shorter in male.  The length-weight relationship shown that the growth pattern in male and female was similar, it was negative allometric (b= 2.57). The water quality parameters shown that temperature 30.5°C, transparency 76.25 cm, pH 6, DO 6.44 mg/L, CO29.74 mg/L and depth 5 m, Nitrate 0.2521 mg/L and Phosphate 0.1504 mg/L. Key words: freshwater fish, oxbow lake, negative allometric, length-weight

Abstract

ABSTRACT Gastropods and Bivalves are two important classes of molluscs living on the Terkul coastal area. Species of these class are often used by local people for livestock feed, handicraft materials and was consumed. This study aimed to determine the structure of community Gastropods and Bivalves in coastal areas of Terkul Rupat Bengkalis Regency. This research was conducted in February - May 2018. Sample collection of Gastropods and Bivalves taken from on 4 certain stations using quantitative and qualitative methods.From this research were found 17 species, consisting of 13 species of Gastropods and 4 species of Bivalves. The highest density of Gastropods is in Station III of 10.67 ind / m2 with characteristics ie near the Terkul port and mangrove grow rarely. The value of Diversity (H ') is high, ranging from 2.26 to 3.13, the uniformity value (E) is in the range of 0.43 to 0.59, the dominance value (C) ranges from 0.13 to 0.43. The distribution pattern of 12 species is clumped and 1 species is uniform. The highest bivalves density is at station III of 0.56 ind / m2 with characteristics ie near the Terkul port and mangrove grow rarely. The value of diversity (H ') is, ranging from 0 to 1.52, uniformity value (E) is ranging from 0 to 0.75, the dominance value (C) ranges from 0 to 0.37. The pattern of distribution of 3 species are uniform and 1 species clumped. Keywords: Community structure, Pulau Rupat, Gastropod, Bivalve.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was condureted from February 5th,2018 –March 7th,2018 inAquaculture Technology Laboratory, Fisheries and MarineFaculty, University of Riau. This study aims to determine the optimum doses of probiotics boster multi cells to decrease the concentration of ammonia, growth and survival of green catfish (Mystus nemorus). The method used in this research was Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with the one factor, five treatments levels and 3 replications. The results showed the best probiotic treatment was P2 (5 ml / m3), with ammonia decrease of 0.0020-0,0025 mg / L, absolute weight growth of 17,17 g, daily growth rate of 3,67, and survival rate of 85%. Keywords :Ammoniac,Boster multi cells, Green Catfish (Mystus nemurus), Growth, Probiotic.
