Abstract

This research was done in December 2013 in the waters of Sumber Jaya village Kampung Melayu subdistrict Bengkulu Bengkulu province. The method used was a survey method. Data taken consisted of 1) the location of the operation of gill net fishing gear, 2) the location of the catch in gill net fishing gear pengoperaisan, 3) water temperature, 4) salinity, 5) flow velocity, 6) brightness and 7) depth. The highest fish production in the 10 operating locations gill net fishing gear different, for gill net boats GT ≤ 5 highest and lowest 110 kg 45 kg. While gill net vessel GT ≥ 5 highest and lowest reaches 750 kg 350 kg. Physical parameters obtained for salinity in the range of 24-26 ‰, flow velocity in the range of 0.200 to 0.250 m / sec, the depth was 58-62 m range, water transparency in the range of 6.0-8.0 m, water temperature in the range of 27 -30 0C. Multiple linear regression analysis showed Total catches (Dependent Variable) with physical parameters (Predictors) obtained the effect of x on y by 54.0%, while the remaining 46% are caused by other factors. The need for further research by grouping objects larger research and predictive variables that have continuous time series in order to obtain a clearer influence between variables and objects. Keywords: water village Sumber Jaya, gill net, physical parameters, multiple linear regression

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to determine the relationship of sea surface temperatureand chlorophyll-a by catch yellowfin fishing in the Coast of Western NorthSumatera. This study conducted in the Archipelago Fishing Port Sibolga andcontinued with image interpretation in Regional Fisheries Laboratory Faculty ofFisheries and Marine Sciences University of Riau, Pekanbaru. This research usesAqua MODIS satellite imagery level 1b data with a spatial resolution 1km. Thisstudy was conducted using a survey to get the catch and fishing Yellowfinposition data from the Fishing Port Of Sibolga Archipelago. Spatial analysismethods are used to see the distribution of sea surface temperature andchlorophyll-a. In this study sea surface temperature more dominant fish catchyellowfin than chlorophyll-a. At sea surface temperature range of 27-290C andchlorophyll-a concentration range of 1,03-1,09 mg/m3 dominant in January, yellowfin caught more fish with 221,773 tons while the dominant sea surfacetemperature 30-320C and chlorophyll-a concentrations 1,25-1.41 mg/m3 inDecember yellowfin caught fish less of 2,892 tons.Key Words : Sea Surface Temperature, Chlorophyll-A, Satelite Imagery, AquaMODIS, Thunnus albacares.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine which catches most of the second form of splint. Consists of two forms of martial arts that is a rectangular shape and form of U. The results showed that the fishing gear rectangular shape overall number of catches is 57.10 kg consisted of 13 541 fish, while the U-shaped gear was brought 44.70 kg sand 9313 fishes. Results of t-test at 95% confidence level showed no difference in the two formations of the catch nets splint. Waters environmental conditions as long as the study were measured namely the highest tides reach 300-400 cm while the lowest ebbcurrent velocity reaches 30-40 cm, flow velocityis in the range of 10-15 cm/sec, temperatures ranging from 25-29 0C, salinity ranges from 35-40 0/00 and brightness ranges from 20-25 cm.Keywords: Tidal trap net, form of splint

Abstract

Fisheries production in Kota Dumai began to decline over time, and the prohibition on sondong provide opportunities for Longline as alternative fishing gear. The research was conducted on January 25 to February 5, 2016 at Pelabuhan Perikanan Kota Dumai with the aim of the research is to know feasibility of longline business as alternative fishing gear by using survey methods. Longline business as a feasible alternative fishing gear in terms of availability of raw materials, labor availability, market opportunities and business interests with an average value of 3. Financially feasible to be developed at an investment cost incurred on average Rp 16.730.752. BCR value of 2.16 to the value of FRR is 83.1% higher than the bank rate of 7.25% applies. PPC value (payback period of capital) is 1.73 year. In its development longline can be used as the primary fishing gear and alternative. after a review of the feasibility aspects of business development and financial analysis. Keywords : Mini longline, Feasibility, Financial Analysis, Development Direction, PPI Dumai.

Abstract

ABSTRAC            One of the static fishing gear used by fishermen in Belitung Bay is a fishing gear. The purpose of this study is to know the composition of the catches in Teluk Belitung urban village. This research was conducted in October 2017 at Teluk Belitung Village, Merbau Sub-district, Meranti Islands Regency. The method used is the participatory method and the analysis used is t-test hypothesis analysis and chi-square test. From the results of this study obtained the total number of catches during the research is 78140 gr and 5538 tail. The dominant catch species during the study was red shrimp (Panaeus monodon) which was the main catch with weight 9660 gr and 1147 tails at the time of pairs, 10490 gr and 1242 tails at low tide. The t-test indicated that there was a difference in the number of catches at the time of tide and low tide and the chi-square test showed no difference in the composition of the catches at the time of tide and low tide. Keywords: Belitung Bay Sub-District, Pengerih, Composition Catch Result, Tides

Abstract

Remote sensing method was used to analyze the state of the aquatic environment which aims to see the characteristics of the spatial and temporal distribution of concentrations of net primary productivity (NPP) in the western Indian Ocean Sumatra with spatial and temporal analysis. Image data NPP obtained fromsatellite image processing Aqua MODIS Level 4 in 2013. This study uses QGIS 2.18. Net primary productivity (NPP) representatives phytoplankton biomass as the basis for the food chain of aquatic organisms in the ocean. The results of this study showed that the concentration of NPP in the western Indian Ocean Sumatra in 2013 are statistically the highest in February is 739,4 gCm2/day, while the lowest in January is 554,0 gCm2/day. Spatially the concentration of NPP highest tends to be found in the coastal waters because it is influenced by the nutrients, ocean mass, chlorophyll-a and the concentration of NPP the lowest visualization tends to be at off the coast. Need to do further research on concentration NPP insitu. Keywords: Aqua MODIS Level 4, net primary productivity (NPP), the western Indian Ocean Sumatra, spatial and temporal.

Abstract

Chlorophyll-a is one of indicator’s level in fertility waters that be found in phytoplankton. The distributed of Chlorophyll-a concentration can be indication that so many fish in the waters. One of potential fishing in Hindia’s ocean, west Sumatera section is Thunnus obesus and Thunnus albacares to identifed the content of Chlorophyll-a can be used aqua MODIS satelite. The goals of this research is to know the distribution of Chlorophyll-a concentration and the effort arrest in spasial and temporal (montly, seasonal, yearly) and then to knew the correlation between effort arrested with Chlorophyll-a data. This research used density’s analysis by used QGIS. The correlation between Chlorophyll-a with effort arrested (CPUE) that can be found from analysis of coefficient correlation for montly periods by the highestvalue r: 0,72 in May with the results both of variabel had powerful correlation and the lowest value r: 0,02 in December with the results both of variabel had weak correlation. The highest of coefficient correlation in seasonal period with r: 0,47 in trantition seasonal as the results both of variabel had medium correlation and the lowest value r: 0,04 in west season as the results both of variabel had weak correlation. Keywords: Hindia’s Ocean, bigeye tuna (Thunnus obesus), yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares), chlorophyll-a, Aqua MODIS
