Abstract

ABSTRACT                This research was conducted in August 2020 in Pambang Pesisir Village, Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The method used is an experimental method by making specimens from wood specimens without lamination and with Pioneer Non-SAG Epoxy and Fiberglass laminates. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of using Pioneer Non-SAG Epoxy as a substitute for CSM and Wovin Roving on the ship's hull through destructive testing (DT/Destructive Test).            From the test results, the highest wood moisture content was 18.18% and the lowest value was 13. 15%, the highest density value was 1.15 g/cm3 and the lowest value was 1.02 g/cm3. Comparison of the results of the mechanical test against the bending/compression test on specimens that were coated with Pioneer, Fiber and uncoated wood from the results of the fiber coating research will increase the thickness of the wood by 4 mm (from 6 mm to 10 mm), while the pioneer coating only adds 1 mm ( from 6mm to 7mm). For this reason, if you increase the thickness of the pioneer coated wood, it is necessary to use a pioneer layer of more than 8 layers. With a thickness ratio for fiber 0.5mm and pioneer 0.125mm.            Tensile tests on fiber-coated wood are longer than pioneer-coated wood. The tensile strength of wood coated with fiber reaches 306.99 MPa while pioneer coated wood is only 230.22 MPa. The difference in the increase in the length of the wood when it is pulled is due to the difference in the thickness of the elasticity and the thickness of the wood.            Based on the impact results, it can be seen that the best value is the lowest wood with fiber coated wood with a value of 0.000054 J/mm2 and uncoated wood with a value of 0.00083 J/mm2 and the highest value is found in wood coated with Pioner with a value of 0.00083 J/mm2. 0.000094 J/mm2. Thus it can be concluded that the use of various types of layers on wood will affect the impact value. Keywords: Piooner, Physical test, Statistical test, Mechanical test

Abstract

ABSTRACT A bycatch is another catch that is accidentally caught by the net. where the catch is unwanted or not the main target. Bycatch is usually dumped into the sea or used for human consumption or for livestock. This study aims to identify the composition and proportion of the main catch (main catch), bycatch and discarded catch in the stonet. The method used in this research is a survey method, namely by making direct observations in the field to see the catch of the grinding tool, then each catch is identified including the type of fish, the number of individual fish and the weight of the fish (primary data). Keywords:By-catch and discarded, stinging gear

Abstract

ABSTRACT            Bivalve Anadara antiquatameat has a potential use as a raw material for producing protein hydrolyzate because it contains quite high protein. However, it has not been utilized optimally in its processing, so that it is necessary to do research on producing protein hydrolyzate fromthe bivalve with the addition of bromelin enzymes. It is hoped that it will provide the opportunity as an alternative source of animale protein and will increase the added value of the bivalve. The purpose of this study was to produce protein hydrolyzate from the bivalve using the bromelin enzyme. The method use was experimental composed as a non-factorial completely randomized design. It was contained 4 treatment levels of different enzyme concentrations(0%, 3%, 6%, and 9%). Parameters observed were the yield and the degree of hydrolysis. The addition of Bromelin enzyme at different concentrations has a very significant effect on the yield value and the hydrolysis degree. The addition of 9% enzyme was the best treatment. The best yield value on the hydrolyzate protein of bivalve after freeze drying15.62% and the value of the degree of hydrolysis was 14.68% and was the optimum condition for hydrolyzing bivalve meat. Keywords: Bivalve, Bromelin Enzyme, HydrolyzateProtein

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study was aimed to determine the effect of fortification of  mussel meat flour on cone wafers towards consumer acceptance. The treatment was the addition of mussel meat flour with different concentration which consisted of 0% mussel flour (W0),2,5% 0f mussel flour (W1),5% of mussel flour (W2),and 7,5% of mussel flour (W3).Analysis parameters include organoleptic test (appearance, taste, aroma, texture), and proximate analysis. Based on the result that the addition of 5% of mussel meat flour on cone wafers was the best treatment with the characteristics yellowish color, the aroma a little show rancid from mussel meat flour, sweetness, solid texture, meanwhile for ash, moisture, protein, and fat content was 1,63%, 3,11%, 13,39% 17,59%. Keywords: mussel meat flour, cone wafer, consumer acceptance

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to determine the effect of sago sugar substitution on the organoleptic quality of seaweed (Eucheuma cottonii) jam. The research method used was experimental with non-factorial completely randomized design (CRD) using the addition of sago sugar with different amounts consisting of G0 (0 g), G1 (100 g), G2 (200 g), G3 (300 g). Parameter analysis was an organoleptic test (taste, texture, color, aroma). The results of the organoleptic analysis showed that the seaweed jam with the addition of 300 g sago sugar had the highest value (taste, texture, color, and aroma) than the addition of 100 g sago sugar and 200 g sago sugar. The addition of sago sugar affected the quality of seaweed jam. Seaweed jam with the addition of 300 g sago sugar produced a jam with the characteristics of a sweet taste, thick texture, clean and shiny color, and a specific aroma of seaweed jam. Keywords: characteristics, organoletics, sagu sugar, seaweed jam

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of adding different concentrations of chitosan solutions on the quality of facial moisturizing creams and to find out how much chitosan concentration is appropriate to add to the quality of facial moisturizing creams. The treatments given were different concentrations of chitosan, namely 1% (K1), 2% (K2), 3% (K3). The parameters used in this study were yield test, water content, ash, nitrogen and degree of deacetylation in determining the quality of chitosan and pH test, emulsion stability test, humectant test and viscosity test to determine the quality of facial moisturizing cream. The results of this study showed that the chitosan obtained from the crab shells waste had the form of powder particles, with 12 % of yield, 9.6% of moisture content, 6.7% of ash, 4.54% of nitrogen; and 73.74% of the degree of deacetylation. The best treatment was the addition of 3% (K3) chitosan concentration with a 5.20 pH value; 99.54% of emulsion stability, 65.32% of humectant, and 38.045cPs Viscosity. Keyword:Chitosan, facial moisturizing cream, small shell crab

Abstract

ABCTRACTThis research was carried out in December 2020 in Lalang Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. This study aims to determine the composition of the type and weight of the catch and the strength of the current relationship with the catch operated in Lalang Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. The research method used is the survey method. The data that has been obtained after being tabulated is then analyzed descriptively. The catch obtained by the pengerih fishing gear consisted of 8 species, namely lomek fish (Harpodon nehereus), pomfret (Colossoma macropum), thorn fish (Arius thalasius), gulamo fish (Bahaba poly kladieous), exorbitant fish (Nematalosa come), turtle fish (Eleutheronema tetradactylum), ringworm (Llisha elongata) and shrimp (Metapenaeus monocerous). While the analysis of the strength of the relationship between catches and current velocity in Lalang Village, current velocity has a strong relationship with the number of catches produced by the fishing gear as seen from the coefficient of determination of the fishing gear, which is 0.99 (0.80-1.00) . It can be concluded that the current is very influential on the catch obtained by fishing gear in Lalang Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. Keywords: Fishing gear, simple linear, Lalang Village
