ABSTRACT               This research was conducted in January 2018 at Fishery Port of Pekalongan, Department of Fishery Resource Utilization, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. The purpose of this study is to calculate the productivity of purse seine and fishing vessels. Productivity in the fishing unit has increased and decreased in each year. The productivity of the highest catching unit in purse seine was 119,617,069 kg/unit/year, while the lowest was 9,809,098 kg /unit/year. For purse seine capture productivity, the highest catching unit productivity is 47,212,20 kg unit/year. The total productivity of the highest purse seine fishermen is 3,604,044 kg/person/year, while the lowest productivity is 2,002,862 kg/person/year. Factors that influence the productivity of mini purse seine catch is the size of the ship (X2). Abstract

Abstract This research was conducted in April 2018 at Fishery Port Of Palabuhanratu sukabumi, west java. The purpose of this study is to find out the condition of the catches production that landed on Fishery Port Of Palabuhanratu in 2013-2017. to obtain the projected amount of catches production of skipjack tuna which is landed on Fishery Port Of Palabuhanratu in 2019-2023. The method used in this research is survey method. the highest catches production occurred in 2014 was 10,357,023 Kg and the lowest catches production occurred in 2017 was 3,471,290 Kg. the result of regression analysis the effect of independent variables (ships, fishing gear, and fishermen) to dependent variable (catches production) obtained linier equation Y’ = 4840312+2189,355X1-15738,6X2+2277,168X3.The projection/availability catches  production of skipjack tuna shows that the catches production of skipjack tuna in 2019-2023 tends to decrease every year. Decreasing the amount of catches production of skipjack tuna on the projection results is influenced by the trend of the actual data in 2013-2017. the trend obtained for the production per month of skipjack tuna is decreasing during 2013-2017 with the equation y = 33996e-0,013x dan R2 = 0,0777 Keywords : Cathes Production, Skipjack Tuna, Fishery Port Of Palabuhanratu

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted in April 2019 in Sungai Raya waters, Meral District, Karimun Regency Riau Island Province. The purpose of this research is to find out the types and the number of target fish catches and bycatch on the bottom gillnet. The method used is a survey method which is then analyzed descriptively and using a shortening calculation. The catch during the study was 390,4 kg or 93 tails. The total catch of the bottom gillnet during the study that the target fish, namely the kurau fish, were obtained as the main catch based on the weight of 79,8% and the remainder as a bycatch of 20,2%. While based on the individual obtained as the main catch of 60,2% and remainder as a bycatch of 39,8%. In this study the shortening value of the fishing gear operated was 40%, then the fish is caught gilled. During the study the temperature ranges between 30-310C, the current velocity ranged from 1,3-1,7 mil/jam, and water depths range between 9,1-36 meter. Keywords: Bottom Gillnet, Composition Catch Fish, Sungai Raya Waters

This study aims to determine the distribution of how the distribution of fishermen's catches landed at PPN Palabuhanratu. One of the functions of the fishing port is as a center for marketing and distributing catches. Palabuhanratu is a fairly large port in West Java and has the potential in the distribution of catches. Palabuhanratu Fishery Port is the center of fisheries activities, especially in the aspects of production, processing, distribution and fostering fishing communities. The distribution of catches at the Port of Palabuhanratu Fisheries has several important aspects including catching landing, managing and marketing the catch. Marketing of fishery products from the Port of Palabuhanratu Fisheries in the form of fresh fish and processed fish products (salted and pindang fish). Distribution destinations include Palabuhanratu (local) and inter-city distribution including Sukabumi, Jakarta, Bandung, Bogor, Cicurug and Cianjur. The destination areas for distribution between provinces include Banten and Surabaya. The distribution of catches is carried out to give value to the catches. The value of the catch that is distributed is very dependent on the quality of the catch.Palabuhanratu has two forms of marketing activities namely through TPI and not through TPI. The fish which are marketed through TPI are not auctioned properly because the fish auction in Palabuhanratu has not gone well. Keywords : Fishing Port, Distribution of catches, marketing the catch

Abstract

In order to increase the fishing production, several efforts have been conductedand one of them is using the chemically attracted bait. To understand theeffectiveness of bait odor in attracting the fish, a study on the response ofPangusius sutchi and (lands hatracus Linn toward various bait odors has beenconducted in Pekanbaru, from 12 to 19 July 2005. This study aims to understandthe ability of fishes in detecting the odors. Three treatments were applied. The fishwere feed on chicken intestine with 3 decayed levels, namely fresh intestine, intestine that was kept for I day period and intestine that was kept for 2 daysperiod. Position/distance between the fish and the bait were noted. Result shownthat fresh chicken (U1) intestine was the most preferred by cat fish (P. sulchi),while intestine that was kept for I day period (U2) was the most preferred by catfish (C. hatracus). Chicken intestine that was kept for 2 days period (U3),however, was not preferred by both type of fishes. Based on the data obtained, itcan be concluded that cat fish (P. suichi), and cat fish (C. Indiums) are able todetect bait with different odors.
