Abstract

This study was conducted in December 2014 which was held at the Laboratory of Materials Capture Device and experimental ponds Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. This study aims to determine the variation in diameter gravel caught as well as to determine the degree of selectivity of the catch using dredge net with mouth and slit (separator) different. The method used in this study is an experimental method of fishing is catching shellfish test, using four types of scrapers with the same two mouths, two different gap. The results of this study indicate that a more selective dredge net is the type of fingers (scratch) with a gap width of 2.5 cm and rake-type lip mussels (plate) with a slit width of 2.5 cm compared with clam rake type of fingers and lip-type (plate) with a slit width of 3.5 cm, because the type of clam rake fingers with a slit width of 2.5 cm and a clam rake lip type (plate) with a slit width of 2.5 cm has the smallest range value and the value of the variance smallest.Keywords : Dredge net, selectivity, separator, plate

Abstract

This research was conducted on 3 to 10 December 2014 at Fishing Gear Laboratory Department of utilization aquatic resources. The purpose of the study was to utilize the coconut coir as raw material in the manufacture of insolators with a predetermined ratio to be obtained best composition. By using experimental method carried out. Tests on three cool box, coconut coir mixed with tapioca and data where analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the utilization of coconut coir as an insulating material can be used with improvements and modification in order to complete with factory made. Abstract

This research was aimed to study about the potential of bundung grass as natural fibre for fishing gear materials. This research used the experimental method with used to test the breaking strength and elongation of the objects.Based on the histology, tissue of compiler at stems of bundung grass is a protective tissue (epidermis), the basic tissue (parenchyma), amplifier tissue (collenchyma and sclerenchyma) and carrier tissue (xylem and phloem). At the grass which has a length of 14 to 157 cm and a width ranging from 0.8 to 1.2 cm, where as for fine fibers produce reach 147 pieces with a diameter of 0,01 cm. Length of average of fine fibers produced at the grass was 58.39% length of grass. Bundung of fibres has the ability breaking load of 58,4 g, yarn 109 g and strand 853 g. Rope of fibres bundung grass has an average value of breaking strength and elongation of 1.8 kgf and 12.8 mm, while the rope from bundung grass stem with has an average value of breaking strength and elongation of 3.9 kgf and 20.1 mm. Bundung grass has potential used fishing gear material, but potential under of average other natural fibre after test.Keywords: Bundung grass, fishing gear material, histology, the breaking strength and elongation.

Abstract

This research was conducted in October 2014 held at The Teluk Village District of Kuala Kampar Pelalawan Riau Province, the method used in this study is a survey method. The data collected is secondary data. Respondents in this study is fisherman in Teluk Village District of Kuala Kampar. Intake of informants is done by random sampling stratifid take informant randomly from each population, then the respondents is to support and strengthen the secondary data drawn from relevant agencies. This study aims to determine the total investment, revenue, business feasibility and the factors that affect fishing in the Teluk Villge District of Kuala Kampar Pelalawan Riau Province. Based on the results, the average fish catch every respondents is different that respondent 1 as much as 9132 kg every year, respondent 2 as much as 2,748 kg every year, respondent 3 as much as 2,376 kg every year and respondent 4 as much as 1,932 kg every year. The total investment in each of the respondents, total investment respondent 1 amounted to Rp.48.400.000, respondent 2 Rp. 22,000,000, respondent 3 Rp.19.800.000, respondent 4 Rp. 17,600,000. Net income respondent 1 Rp. 48.400.000 every year, respondent 2 Rp. 10.560.000 every year, respondent 3 Rp. 8.648.000 every year and respondent 4 Rp.6.796.000 every year. Revenue Analysis based on various criteria, RCR and PPC can be said to be worth fishing effort developed.Keywords: Income Analysis, RCR, PPC

Abstract

The experiment was done in Novembre 2014. Research purpose was to determine theeffect the ussing of rosella solution at seaweed syrup on consumer acceptance. Rosella solution concentration used 0, 20, 40 and 60 ml. Parameters measured were consumer acceptance score, analysis of crude fiber, analysis of reducing sugar and total plate count. Based on research results, thatseaweedsyrup with addition ofa solution 60 ml rosellas which is thebesttreatmentto the characteristic redness appearance, the distinctive smell of rosellas, flavor of rosella was strong, and value of crude fiber 34,04%, value of reducing sugar 56,47% and value of total plate count 2,3 x 102.Keywords : seaweed, syrup, rosella, consumer acceptance

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the consumer acceptance of chocolate biscuits choco chips with addition Leptobarbus hoevenii fish flour About 6 kg Leptobarbus hoevenii obtained from Kampar market was processed into fish flour and chocolate biscuits choco chips was made. Four types of chocolate biscuits choco chips were made from fish flour, mocaf flour, dark chocolate, sugar, butter, milk powder, choco chips and each of treatment was added with 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% of fish flour. Parameters was observed on consumers acceptance, proximat analysis and activity antiokxidant. The result showed that the chocolate biscuits choco chips added with 30% of Leptobarbus hoevenii fish flour was the best treatment and preferred by consumers with 3,14% of water, 0,42% of ash, 12,95% of protein, 21,56% of fat, 60,59% of carbohydrate and 11,43% of activity antiokxidant (IC50).Keywords: Leptobarbus hoevenii, chocolate biscuits, fish flour, consumers acceptance.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of fortification freshwater mussels.The method used in this study was experimental method, namely the production of bakpaowrap with fortification of different freshwater mussels flour 0; 5%; 10%; and 15%, 20%.Observations were organoleptic (appearance, taste, aroma, texture) and proximate analysis(moisture, protein, fat, ash, carbohydrates). The results showed that treatment B1 (5%addition of freshwater mussels flour) was the best treatment for organoleptic parameterswith consumer acceptance rate 93.8% with 4.75% criteria likes and dislikes. With a watercontent of 31.59 value, protein 21:21, ash 2:54, fat 5.89, carbohydrates 38.77.Keywords: freshwater mussels, freshwater mussels flour, bakpao wrap

Abstract

This research was conducted on January, 2 to 7, 2015 in the Village Tigaras Dolok Pardamean Subdistrict Simalungun Regency North Sumatera Province. The research objective was to determined the social and economic conditions of fishermen communities before and after the company PT. SURI TANI PEMUKA and the impact on the community and the area around the company establishment. Fisheries sector development PT. SURI TANI PEMUKA as part of process of local development in promoting economic growth has brought changes to the lives of the people. The changes include the impact of the company’s development of fisheries towards socio economic and environment in the area of companies especially on the fishermen.The impact of development of company PT. SURI TANI PEMUKA to the social and economic aspects, include livelihoods in fisheries and agriculture sector change to industry and trade. Abstract

This research aims to study and obtain a growth curve of lactic acid bacteria (LAB)which were isolate from kembung (Rastrelliger sp.) peda. The research method useddescriptive that was to do data analysis and presented in the form of bacterial growth curve.The analysis parameters were density, pH and total plate count (TPC). Isolate 15 was anisolate that have the biggest clear zone observed on the selection using GYP + CaCO3medium. The parameters used to determine the growth curve of BAL was Optical Densitytest, pH, Total Plate Count (TPC). Isolate 15 had 4 phases of growth. Adaptation phaseoccured at the time of 0-3 hours, logarithmic phase was a phase that was appropriate phase totook a culture of BAL as a starter occurred at a time 3 to 4 hours with a 0.867 A OD values,the number of cells 1,9x109 cfu / ml, and the pH value 5 , 1. Stationary phase occured in 4-5hours. Death phase occurred during the 5-8 hours it was intend for continuous decrease inthe number of bacterial cells with the smallest value that is 0,9x106 cfu/ml.Keywords: growth curve, Lactic Acid Bacteria, Kembung (Rastrelliger sp.) peda
