Abstract

This research aims to understand the addition effect of catfis surimi on donut towards consumen acceptance and to invent appropriate catfish surimi formula in donut processing. The method used was experimen method that was donut processing with addition catfish surimi with 0%, 5%, 10% and 15%. Based from consumen acceptance rate towards donut with catfish surimi addition showed that D0 treatment was favor with 97,19%, D1 was 97,50%, D2 was 98,12% and D3 was 98,44%. Best donut formulation was D3 with organoleptic value of appearance, taste, texture, and aroma was (3,26), (3,63), (3,65), and (3,68) respectively. Based on the parameters that can be concluded that the treatment is best viewed from the organoleptic contained in D3 treatment (addition of surimi 15%) with such value 3,26 (criteria golden yellow color), flavor 3,63 (criteria feels a bit sweet), texture 3,65 (criteria soft and slightly crunchy), and aroma 3,68 (criteria does not smell the stench of fish). And the value of water content and the proximate best fat content contained in D0 treatment (without surimi) (17,87% and 18,22%) and the best protein content contained in D3 treatment (addition of surimi 15%) (10,28%).keywords: catfish, surimi and donut.

Abstract

The research was conducted in February 2015 with the aim to analyze andcompare the contents of Pb, Cu and Zn in soft tissue and shells of the mangrovesnail (Nerita lineata) from three stations with different activities. The researchwas also objected to analyze the consumption feasibility of the snail as well as tounderstand the status of metal pollution by calculating the value of MPI (MetalPollution Index). The results showed that the average Pb content (8.197 and 8.538μg/g) of snails was greater than Zn (6.992 and 7.718 μg/g) and Cu (4.614 and4.468 μg/g) for soft tissue and shells respectively. Metal Pollution Index valuewas 6.552 indicated that the pollution status in the coastal waters of the west coastof Karimun Besar Island Riau Archipelago Province was still relatively low. Themangrove snail from this coastal waters were also considered safe forconsumption as long as not exceeding the limit of 0.836 kg/week based on Pb,208.68 kg/week based on Cu and 298.23 kg/week based on Zn concentrations.Key Words: Heavy metal, Mangrove snail, Nerita lineata, Karimun Islands.

Abstract

This study was conducted on 24 March to 9 April 2015 in the archipelago Fishing Port in Sibolga Central Tapanuli, North Sumatra Province. The method used is survey method, to determine the respondents conducted by purposive sampling that each one ship drift gill net GT size 20 and size 6 GT. Results from this study indicate that the investment amount of drift gill net vessels 20 GT is higher than the ship drift gill net 6 GT. While based on investment criteria using the feasibility analysis NPV, BCR and IRR, drift gill net vessels 20 GT and 6 GT is equally eligible to be forwardedFishing effort with drift gill nets were mooring the ship in the port of Sibolga Nusantara Fishery Central Tapanuli North Sumatra using several investment criteria still feasible to be developed. Fleet drift gill net with a size of 202GT NPV Rp. 1433472840, BCR of 1.91 and an IRR of 68.33%. Fleet drift gill net with size 6 GT NPV Rp. 759 909 400, BCR of 1.61 and an IRR of 67.4%.Keywords : NPV, BCR, IRR, Fleet, Drift Gill Net

Abstract

This research was conducted on April 2015 in Lampulo fisheries port, Gampong Lampulo district of Kuta Alam Banda Aceh Propince Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. The goal is to identify facilities type and its conditions as well as its level of utilization. This research use survey methods, facilities of lampulo port consists of primary facilities, functional facilities and supporting facilities, but some facilities in bad condition and not to be used and some is still in progress, some other facilities is used but not fort its function it is caused some activities is moved to new port them the facilities is no more utilized. Utilization level <25 % indicated for port basin (8,36 %), level of utilization for <50 % is for depth of port basin (45,20 %) facilities for level of utilization for >75 % is for fish auction place (79,58 %), meanwhile for level of utilization for 100 % is for unloading dock (145,36 %), loading dock (174,98 %), fuel oil tank (129,27 %), ice company, and a fresh water tank. The things must be done for over optimal utilization level is addition of area and capacity meanwhile for facilities under optimal must been increase its utilization level.Keyword: PP Lampulo , the facility needs analysis , utilization of facilities

Abstract

This study was conducted in April 2015. The study aim is to the determine the diversity of gastropods at intertidal zone of Desa Pengudang. Survey method was used to collect informations related to the purpose of the study. There were 3 stations chosen along the coast of Desa Pengudang and 15 sampling points each station. Sample of gastropods were transported to the laboratory for further analysis. The results show that there were 20 species of gastropods found through the research area which include 10 familisan, 5 orders. Diversity of gastropods (H’) was high and species dominance index was moderate, while equability index was relatively good. The dominance spesies of gastropods over the study location were Cerithium cingulata and Cerithium despectum. Keywords: Gastropods, Diversity, Intertidal Zone, Village Of Pengudang, BintanIsland

Abstract

The research was conducted in January-Februari 2015 in coastal waters of Jago-Jago, North Sumatera. The aims ofthis study were to determine the nutrient content of sediment in seagrass ecosystem and to determine the ratio of C:N:P in the sediments by different sediment characteristics and determine the relationship of nutrient with density and biomass of seagrass. The parameters measured were included physical and chemical parameters of marine waters. The density was computed using a quadratic transect, while seagrass biomass was calculated by measuring dry weight of shoot. The value ratio of C:N:P in the sediment was obtained through the determination of carbon (C) in total by the method of Walkley & Black, total of nitrogen by Kjehdahl method and phosphorus total with Double Acid method. The results showed the average carbon content was 1.32117 to 2.47813%, the average nitrogen content was 0.63114 to 1.5468% and the average phosphorus was from 0.00002 to 0.0004%. The density of seagrass in the village of Jago-Jago was between 29 to 56.3 shoots/m2 and biomass of seagrass was between 651.26 to 1261.34 g/m2. Station III had a ratio of C:N:P =12011:14062:1 and provided good leverage, this can be indicated also by the total biomass and density of seagrass at this station was the highest. The C-organic, Nitrogen and Phosphorus in the sediment with density and biomass of seagrass had a weak relationship, there are other factors that might affect the density and biomass of seagrass in which were not measured in this study.keyword : Density, Biomass, Seagrass Ecosystems, Ratio of C:N:P, Sediment, Jago-Jago Coast
