Abstract

The Paper proposes Long Term Evolution (LTE) network design using of which is Node B data existing in the city of Pekanbaru. The design was involved several stages, those were collectingNode B data existing, the network planning based on the capacity, the network planning base on the coverage and the last did a final simulation planning using Atoll Software to get the configurationdesign based on coverage in the value calculation of link budget and cell radius required capital propagation channels. In this planning propagation models used Okumura-Hatta because thefrequency used is 700 MHz. Based on the obtained capacity planning cell maximum capacity is 150,84 Mbps, with the number of LTE subcribers as much as 1,979,972 users. The number ofeNode B needs to give on optimal service through the Pekanbaru city as many as 101 eNode B, with each cell radius to 10 km2 of Urban area, 13 km2 to Suburban area and 19 km2 to Rural area.Keywords : Planning by Capacity, Planning by Coverage, Okumura-Hatta, Software Atoll

Abstract

Distribution Network is one of the parts in a power system that has an important role because it deals directly with users, especially the users of medium and low voltage level. Therefore it needs a protection system against abnormal condition to maintain the reliability of the system. The protective equipment analyzed in this article is the overcurrent relay (OCR) and ground fault relay (GFR). The aim of the article is to determine the settings of OCR and GFR protection devices. By calculating the short circuit, the current and time settings of OCR and GFR can be determined. The short circuit current was simulated by using DigSILENT PowerFactory. It has been found from the results that time setting is influenced by value of short circuit current. The higher the fault current the the faster the trip time of the protection devices. Abstract

Currently the amount of fuel in Indonesia is increasingly depleted especially gasoline fuel, so it is feared in the future the amount of gasoline will be depleted out and exhausted. To overcome these problems, it needs an alternative fuel, one of which is bioethanol. Bioethanol can be mixed with gasoline so it can save the use of gasoline. Most of the vehicles owned by middle to lower class society are motorcycles, which use carburetors as their fuel distribution, where the efficiency is smaller than the FI technology. The first objective of this study was to determine the maximum effective braking power, Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC) and thermal braking efficiency of each variable. The second objection is to find out the optimal angle at the concentration of bioethanol and premium gasoline mixture on the machine. The research method used is experimental method with variable of ignition angle and concentration of bioethanol and gasoline mixture. With the result, the maximum effective braking power on E20 fuel, 20o angle before TMA with 4000 rpm shaft speed of is 191.792 Watt, minimum SFC on E10 fuel, 15o ignition angle before TMA with 2000 rpm shaft rotation of 4.93 x 10-7 kg / J and the maximum thermal braking efficiency on E10 fuel, the ignition angle of 15o rotation shaft of 2000 rpm is 4.8%.Keywords: fuel distribution system, bioethanol, ignition angle

Abstract

Hydroxyapatite Ca10(PO 4)6(OH)2 is a compound of calcium phosphate which is a bioactive ceramic material with high bioafinity and anorganic components main constituent of bones and teeth. Hydroxyapatite (HAp) can be used as a bone implant, adsorbents and catalysts. Hydroxyapatite synthesis can be performed by using raw materials which is rich in calcium such as egg shell. Calcium in the form of Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3) on the chicken egg shell in this study changed to be precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) through the process of carbonation. PCC from chicken egg shells used as a source of calcium in the synthesis of HAp with a sol gel method. In the synthesis of HAp, Ca and P ratio varied from reactant (Ca/P: 1.57; 1.67; and 1.77) and the concentration of HNO 3 (0.3M; 0.4M; 0.5M) at the stage of PCC dissolution. The analysis result of HAp synthesis with Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) showed that the apatite compound has been formed with the absorption of PO4 3- and OH - ion at the wave number 1,025 and 3,625 cm -1. The highest transmittance obtained on the sample at the concentration of 0.4M HNO3 with the ratio Ca/P 1.77; a concentration of 0.5M HNO3 with the ratio of Ca/P 1.67 and a concentration of 0.3M HNO3 with the ratio Ca/P 1.57. Based on X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis, the best HAp obtained in ratio of Ca/P 1.77 and concentration of HNO 3 0.4M with hexagonal crystal structure, with particle size was 46.06 nm. SEM-EDX photograph showed the morphological form of agglomerates. The mole ratio of Ca and P hydroxyapatite from PCC of egg shell was 1.55 and 8.968 m 2/g surface area.Keywords: Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC), Chicken Egg Shell, Hydroxyapatite, Sol gel Method

Abstract

A generator is the main component in a power generation system. The generator needs a protection system to avoid internal or external faults. The protection relay on a 20 MW capacity generator in PLTG PT Riau Power was used in this case study. Furthermore, a Reverse Power Relay (RPR) model was designed and simulated using software Matlab/Simulink. In this simulation, setting the RPR results in several outputs, such as active power, voltage, current, and the delay time of the relay. The simulation results show that the reverse power obtained is -612 kW or 3% and the time delay of the relay is 0,2 second. Meanwhile, the standard of the maximum reverse power is -12.66 MW or 50% and the time delay is 30 second. Thus, there are some differences, i.e., the setting is 6% for the reverse power and 0,6% for the time delay. However, these differences show that setting the RPR still meet standard IEEE C37.102-2006. In this study, re-setting the RPR is proposed by speeding up the time delay between 50% and 95%.Keywords : generator, protection, reverse power relay, delay time

Abstract

This research is aimed to analyze and identify the minimum cost of heavy equipment usage on the reconstruction Pariaman-Manggopoh border area Padang Pariaman Regency West Sumatera Province and to give the alternative manufacture and the effective enforcement method in the use of excavator. The calculation is analyzed using Bina Marga method. Based on the result, it is found that building the Aggregate Foundation Layer class A needs minimum cost Rp. 1.587.698.428,60 and building the Asphalt Pavement Layer needs minimum cost Rp. 4.954.643.081,75. Abstract

Riau University has many student organizations. But there is no adequate facility and place to do some student activities. Therefore, it is required a place to do those activities which is called Student Center. Student Center can be a place to develop their interest, aspiration and creativity. Besides, it can facilitate them in doing some student activities. This building applies tropical architecture approach by Georg Lippsmeier. The principles of this approach are in the form of the building orientation, the ventilation, the use of sun protection, the vegetation and the roof shape. It also applies the concept of dynamic activity. It takes the students’ character who always active, enthusiasm and energetic in the organizational activity. This concept is applied to the architectural aspect by applying dynamic principles, namely: transformation, starting and ending point, direction and flow.Keywords: Student Center, Tropical Architecture, Dynamic Activity

Abstract

Abstract—Epoxy resins are the solid insulation that are widely used to increase the high voltage insulators. In order to increase the dielectric and mechanical strength of epoxy resins can be mixed by using materials such as alumina, palm kernel shells and cnt (carbon nano tubes). From this research of epoxy resin mixed with palm kernel shells with a diameter of 1 mm looks the electrical breakdown characteristics uniquely. With the addition of palm kernel shells can raise breakdown voltage of epoxy resin, compared to pure epoxy resin. The increasing of breakdown voltage is affected by the dielectric strength of palm kernel shells were higher rather than epoxy resin. Discharge currents were recorded from the measurements at laboratory on samples showed different results. At the time of the solidinsulator is approached the electrical breakdown, discharge currents can have a lot of pulses. From these results, a mixture of epoxy resin and palm kernel shells can be used as a new insulator. The properties ofdielectric strength and discharge currents that occur at the time of measurement in the lab shows the different and unique.Keywords ; epoxy resin, palm kernel shell, breakdown voltage, discharge current

Abstract

West Sumatra is one of the provinces in Indonesia with a lot of natural potential that can be used as a natural and cultural tourism. Padang as the capital is the economic center also known as the city of art and culture. To improve and develop cultural tourism, needed a tourist spot that showing, conserve and kept Minangkabau culture. This cultural tourism will added value for tourists to knowing and understand about Minangkabau culture. MinangkabauTheme Park as a theme park to be a place of entertainment or recreation that presents attractions and other events for visitors. Approximatin methode of Minangkabau theme can make visitors knowing and understand about Minangkabau culture. The design of Theme Park will apply the Minangkabau House approach in order to create an old Minangkabau atmosphere and apply characteristics of Minangkabau house that can be showed. Based on function and theme of design produce the concept of "ALam takambang jadi guru". This concept is applied in the design of the zone, the pattern and the mass order, the mass formation, the circulation and landscape getting a place that furnishes the cultural tourism in Padang. The design of Minangkabau Theme Park is divided into several areas: reception area, show area, traditional game area, minangkabau art learning area, culinary area, inn area, mosque area, ATM center area, service area and parking area. Abstract

Improved quality of Long Term Evolution (LTE) network can be do it by analyze the performance and coverage each of operator in Indonesia. Signal strength among of telecomunication operator was not in the same performance and individual location. Parameter that determining signal strenght and quality of each service provider is known by RSRP (Reference Signal Receives Power), RSRQ (Reference Signal Receives Quality), SNR (Signal Noice Ratio), and QoS (Quality of Service). A method to gather series of radio network frequency information in the field is used for analyze and measurement of data signal strength is drive test using G-Net TrackPro software. Location of the measurement are located across panam main street, such as HR.Soebrantas, Soekarno-Hatta, Tuanku Tambusai, SM.Amin, and Air hitam - Kubang Raya. The result shows that XL-AXIATA have the strongest signal on panam with -56dbm, followed by telkosel with -62 dbm. The best 4G LTE strenght is on SM Amin street and the worst is on Air Hitam street.Key words: LTE, drive test, RSRP, RSRQ, SNR, QoS, G-Net Track Pro
