Abstract

PT. PLN (Perseo) P3BS is part of PT PLN (Perseo) which specializes in high voltage and extra high voltage Overhead Line Transmission in Sumatera Island. Overally PT PLN P3BS has several assets of transmission i.e transmission tower with total of 20.110 units. Most of towers high between 30-46 meters. However, many line outage because frome lightening strike to Overhead Line Transmission. The Sumatra island position in the tropical zona which is prone to suffer from lightning strike.The installation or modification of lightning protection need to improve the reliability of transmission from lightning strike. PT PLN (Persero) P3BS has been done several ways to minimize the disturbance caused by lightning strike, such as by modifying GSW in order to have self grounding and insulated to the tower.Study has been done to knowing information about advantages or disadvantages in the utilizing of insulators on GSW simulated using ATP-Draw, normal simulation and modified GSW simulation. Then, both models are exposing to the lightening impulse voltage with the amplitude of 10 kA to 200 kA respectively.The modified GSW earth grounding system with the addition of insulators provides more resistance to the back flashover on the insulators lines and the reliability is increased. In the end, this modified GSW will get the effective value when it is attached to the tower coordinates which have high lightening potensial.Keywords : high voltage and extra high voltage Overhead Line Transmission, lightning density, lightning impulse voltage, GSW, ATP Draw.

Abstract

Ground high plasticity have the properties is bad so do not meet the technical requirements desired. The properties owned land in the form of low bearing capacity, compression (compressibility) high, sweilling large, and difficult to carry out the work of compaction, it is necessary for the stabilization of the soil. One of the ways used to solve problems among other things stabilized with cement. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of OPC cement type or PCC at high plasticity ground against the carrying capacity of land, CBR and UCS. Testing was conducted on the physical and mechanical properties of soil, compaction parameters, CBR and UCS. The standard test used is ASTM. Variations cement used is the addition of 6%, 8%, 10% for each OPC cement and PCC. Curing is done before the test CBR and UCS, the curing time for 28 days on the condition of optimum water content. Results from the study showed that the increase in the maximum CBR value occurs in a mixture of 10% which is 139.70% to 116.43% OPC and for PCC. The maximum value of UCS also occur on the addition of cement by 10%. In the cement mixture with OPC, qu max by 1.44 MPa and 2.43 MPa with a mixture of cement PCC.Keywords: curing, high plasticity, stabilization, cement

Abstract

Conventional plastics are still often used today derived from synthetic polymer materials that are difficult to be recycled and degraded by microorganisms. Bioplastic is one of solution to this problem. One of the materials that have the potential to be used as raw material is cassava because it has a high starch content. However, starch has a weakness that is still low mechanical properties. The general purpose of this research is to study the effect of adding graphene oxide and stirring time to mechanical properties, and biodegradation of cassava starch based bioplastic. Bioplastic was synthesized by intercalation method with variation of graphene oxide concentration (5% v / v and 15% v / v) and stirring time variation (30 minute and 60 minute). The results of the analysis showed that the treatment with the addition of filler graphene oxide and the variation of stirring time contributed to the resulting bioplastic mechanical properties. Bioplastic with the best characteristic was obtained by adding 15% graphene oxide and 60 minutes stirring time with tensile strength 3,92 Mpa, elongation 13,216%, modulus young 29,66 Mpa with water resistance 27,42% and within 1 week degraded 50 , 83%.Keywords: Bioplastic, glycerol, graphene oxide, Cassava Starch, plasticizer

Abstract

Synthetic Unit Hydrograph is a simple and practical method to analyze the design flood discharge of a watershed. This method can be used for watershed do not have the tools of Automatic Water Level Recorder (AWLR) and discharge recording.The method can analyze only the flood discharge based on the basin characteristics. Antokan, Andaman, Tiku, Gasang Gadang’s basin are some watershed flood discharge to be analyzed in this study. The characteristics of the sixth watershed obtained using Digital Elevaltion Digital Model (DEM) data and then be processed using Geographic Information System (GIS). GIS will produce the output of the watershed characteristic data needed to calculate the Syntethic Unit Hydrograph flood discharge, there were Snyder, SCS, Gamma I, and Nakayasu’s methodes. The method will be compared to get the most optimum method and can be applied in the watershed of reviews with HDRO close to 1 mm and a volume error of less than 5%. In the case study can be viewed unit hydrograph can be applied to the Antokan, Andaman, Tiku, Gasang Gadang’s watershed is SCS and Nakayasu’s method with HDRO obtained 1 mm and volum error less than 5%.Keywords: Basin characteristics, GIS, Synthetic Unit Hydrograph

Abstract

LTE is a cellular technology developed by 3GPP which has improved from the previous mobile technologies. The implementation of LTE in Indonesia is still not evenly distributed and only for big cities. Hence, it takes some planning and a deeper study for the area that will be implemented by LTE network. Planning and network optimization is necessary in order to meet consumer needs of the LTE network. There are different ways of optimization methods can be used, in previous studies used a joint base station technique, optimization in other research done by changing basic parameters such as replacing the feeder cable and the addition site. In this study optimization techniques used by changing the type of modulation thus affecting the utilization values of SNR. The simulation results based on two scenarios i.e the number of sites for scenario 1in the total of 479 sites, while for scenario 2 indicates number of sites . in the mean time for a signal level coverage for scenario 1 and scenario 2 show -90 dBm and -95 dBm, respectively.Keywords : LTE, Optimization, Modulation, SINR.

Abstract

Laser Cutting machine is a machine that uses a laser beam to cut or carve a particular material. This machine is aimed at small and medium enterprises (UKM) to produce creative products such as decoration, handicrafts, accessories and more. Previously it has been produced some machines that use lasers as cutting tools, but some of the table is very difficult to by UKM, because the price is expensive. In order to fulfill the needs of UKM for cheapest Laser Cutting machines, this research can be obtained Laser Cutting machine with the same function but with an affordable price. In the design process used Autodesk Inventor 2015 software as well as analysis of structural strength in this design. In the analysis process was done with 2 ways, with manual calculations and simulation using Autodesk Inventor 2015. Then from the calculation were results obtained voltage that occurs on the y-axis = 0.21 MPa on the x-axis 1.05 MPa then deflection that occurs on the y-axis = 1.67.10-3 and on the x-axis = 5.9 .10-2. Therefore, in this research is revealed a safe category of machine Laser Cutting machine.Keywords : Laser Cutting machine, stress, deformation

Abstract

In order to realize the energy-efficient car, there are many factors to be considered. One of them is the design of the chassis structure, which serves as a place of support for all components of the vehicle and the driver. The chassis design process starts from the selection of order type, material selection, model design and continued with static analysis. Static analysis is done in a manual way by calculating and using autodesk inventor software. The process of static analysis is in the engine, driver and driver. After the static analysis process continued with the manufacture of components and assembly. Chassis made with length of chassis 2060 mm x width 600 mm. And its chassis structure uses hollow aluminum 40 mm x 40 mm x 2 mm and hollow aluminum 25 mm x 25 mm x 2 mm. Based on the results of static analysis with manual calculations, obtained the maximum stress on the main stem 18,3 MPa And deflection main stem 3.35 MPa. Analyzes by using the autodesk inventor software obtained maximum stress on the main stem 19.4 MPa And deflection on the main bar rod 3.54 mm. The result of the minimum security factor using the inventory autodesk software 10.5. It was concluded that the chassis was still within the limits allowed in load modeling as defined and the main frame proved safe to use.Key Word : Chassis, Autodesk Inventor, Stress, Deformation, Energy Saving

Abstract

Nowadays, development of shopping centres in Pekanbaru is rapidly growing. Cause of high capital cost, the investment in shopping centre is a risky business. Therefore, technical and financial analysis of construction compulsory. Technical aspect which is the parking space requirements and financial aspects which are calculations of Net Present Value (NPV), Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR), Internal Rate of Return, Payback Period (PBP) and Sensitivity have been carried out. The result shown that available parking space of 188 SRP is smaller than Dirjen Perhubungan Darat’s standard of parking space requirements that 279 SRP. In other words, it only can accommodate 67% of standard of parking space requirements. Total investment of Sadira Plaza is Rp 167,530,104,997.76 in which Rp 83,477,913,329.51 of NPV, 1.32 of BCR and eight years and eight months of PBP (50 years of estimated project lifetime). In conclusion, investment in Sadira Plaza construction project is eligible to be built with a minimum tenant of 42.95% while technically not. Abstract

One of parameters to determine the discharge is to know the pattern of rainfall distribution. To calculated the rainfall distribution is required hourly rainfall data of TRMM. Rainfall distribution patterns can be calculated using the empirical method of Alternating Block Method (ABM), Tadashi Tanimoto and Mononobe. The aim of this research to determine the pattern of rainfall distribution in the city of Pekanbaru from 2009 to 2016 based on the pattern and correlation. Based on shape, the most common TRMM distribution pattern is the bell shape that occurs from the duration of 3 to 9 hours and for the duration 2 hours has the form of a declining ladder. While based on correlation, pattern of rainfall distribution for duration of 3, 4, 6, and 7 hours tend to ABM Method, 5 hour duration tends to Mononobe Method and 8 hour duration tends to Tadashi Tanimoto Method. The results of this study have been compared with previous studies for Pekanbaru City, which of the two studies only rain with duration of 3 and 5 hours that have a match pattern.Keywords : The Pattern of rainfall distribution, Satellite rainfall data, Alternating Block Method (ABM), Modified Mononobe, Tadashi Tanimoto

Abstract

The utilization of coconut fiber waste at this time is very potential, because the coconut fiber waste a lot of selling value. The coconut processing itself produces 2 kinds of products that are coconut fiber and coconut coir. To increase the effectiveness and capacity of coconut fiber decomposers, it is necessary to perform several variables and in this research will use variation of rotation and shape of coconut fiber decomposition blade. which later expected to produce optimal decomposition. The data retrieval process in this research is by decomposing coconut husk where coconut husk is inserted into the machine weighing 500 gram continuously and observation of the decomposition results and calculate the decomposition time, so as to get the results of the machine capacity. Variations of parsing knife rotation and variation of blade shape of blade on coco fiber decomposition machine influence on the decomposition of coconut coir. In this study the optimal result is at 1420 rpm rotation, time of 47 seconds, for the coconut coir that has been done soaking for 2 hours. The optimal production capacity was at 1420 rpm of the knife rotation and capacity result was 0.0104 gram/ s.Keywords: Coconut fiber extraction machine, Coconut husk, Shape of knife blades.
