Abstract

The development of Badminton in Riau Province is developed compared to other islands. This is indicated by the achievements of Badminton athletes in Riau which are relatively minimal and rarely heard of achievement outside the region. So we need a Badminton training center that can accommodate all the activities of potential Badminton athletes in Riau. The design method that have been used was the results of the field survey, documentation, analysis of qualitative data and quantitative data. The design was designed according to the needs of badminton training that follows the standards. So it was expected to support athlete achievement. The Badminton training center in Riau will be planned in Sei. Pinang, Tambang Districts, Kampar Regency. Sei. Pinang selection because near to the capital of Riau Province, so it will be easily accessed because it is close to Bangkinang – Pekanbaru Street and also the availability of vast land to develop. The design of theme was used a Contemporary Architecture which applied the Thimoty principle, and is in accordance with comparative studies of contemporary buildings in the last 10 years. The concept in this design was used Blow In Badminton, which included 5 types of punches into the design of buildings and areas. The results of the design of the Badminton Training Center were divided into zones consisting of training zones, dormitory zones, parking zones, and recreation zones.Keywords: Sei. Abstract

This research studied the mechanical properties of concrete are compressive strength, split tensile strength, flexural strength concrete that uses shredded plastic bottles as fiber. The use of this as a fiber chopped aims to reduce plastic bottle waste and improve the mechanical properties of normal concrete. The test object is cylindrical and beams, used variation is the addition of as much as 0.0%, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8% and 1.0%. The results showed the highest compressive strength of concrete on the variation of 0.6% IE 9.47% of the sum of normal concrete. For a split tensile strength experienced the highest increase at 0.6% variation in the amount of 39.53% And Strong Bending experienced highest increase in the variation of 0.8% IE 19.44% of the sum of normal concrete. The results showed the addition of Shredded 1-3 mm with a length of 5 cm Plastic Bottles as fibers in concrete mixtures can improve the mechanical properties of concrete, in particular concrete compressive strength, tensile strength of concrete sides, and flexural strength. Abstract

Electronic devices efficiency is highly considered nowadays. One of the reasons caused low efficiency is power dissipation. Conventional Boost Converter has low efficiency, but there are some potentional area need to be improved. Synchronous Boost Converter is the improved method of Boost Converter to improve the Conventional Boost Converter efficiency. Design and simulation is supplied by 12VDC. 21W LED light as output consist of 21 strands of 1W LED. 21W LED light is supplied by 21VDC. Synchronous Boost Converter works in Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) to generate 12VDC input to 21VDC output. Synchronous Boost Converter simulation shows 21W LED light power produces 82,22% efficiency which better 2,4207% than Conventional Boost Converter. Synchronous Boost Converter with lower frequency gives better efficiency, previous research with 30MHz produces 70-80% efficiency.Keywords: Synchronous Boost Converter, MOSFET, efficiency

Abstract

Vehicle license plate recognition application has been found in shopping centers, university, and other agency buildings with various methods of recognition. Some examples of methods used such as digital image processing techniques, neural networks and so forth. This study makes an application for the introduction of license plates, especially for student vehicle license plates in the university area. This application is developed with Digital Image Processing Methods and Artificial Neural Networks.In this study, 900 training data are used, taken from 200 photo vehicle number plates, to train 36 characters that contain 26 alphabets and 10 decimal numbers. The training data is used to test 30 photos of vehicle license plates. Plate photos used as training and testing data are the Indonesian standard with black and white plates. Artificial Neural Network used to recognize vehicle license plate by using the BPNN method with parameters Epoch 1000, Hidden layer1 with node 60, Hidden layer2 with node 55, Goal 0.001.The final conclusion of this Study shows that the use of Artificial Neural Network BPNN method is very good, with the best testing accuracy obtained, namely 98% and 1.25 error.Keywords: Digital Image Processing, Artificial Neural Networks,BPNN, Vehicle License Plate

Abstract

The Imbalance loads of distribution channel in a power system always happened, and the imbalance caused by the presence of conductive permanent resistance. Good conductor should not have resistance, but in reality every object has a resistance to electricity. Therefore it is necessary for the calculation of the power losses generated by the conductor. In this research power loss calculations made on the primary distribution system, namely when the system load. Total power loss that has generated in this study are at 791,995.227 Watt and the percentage of power loss to the average load is equal to 10.345%.Keywords : Loss of power, The Imbalance Load, the primary distribution system

Abstract

Wire mesh machine is a machine used to produce wire mesh or plaid wire mesh with various size of width, length and diameter used in various places such as sports field and as a fence for the beauty of the plant. This machine is equipped with the movement of wire cutting mechanism and also wire mesh for wire removal is not necessary, this machine is also equipped with electrical circuit as control system with arduino based program with function to control electric motor so that after woven wire can directly cut wire has been in woven according to the size set in the arduino program. From the results of testing this tool, there are still some shortcomings that result in the cutting and cutting process that occurred is still not perfect. This is caused by several factors that cause the failure during the process of cutting. And the test result or simulation which have been done on arduino program designed can be simulated as expected and control system applied by arduino microcontroller on this mesh wire machine goes well.Keywords : wire mesh machine, cutting wire, and wire mesh automatic.

Abstract

The area located on the banks of the Sail River, especially the downstream part of the river is an area that hasthe potential to flood and puddle when the rainfall is high in the upper reaches and the influence of the high tideof the Siak river. Floods that occurred on the banks of the Sail River inundated several infrastructures such asroads and residential areas. Based on Antara (2017), in Bambu Kuning street, the village of Rajosari was hit bya puddle of Sail river as high as about 30-60 cm, while around the residential area the height of the water was20 cm. The stages of the research are analyzing the frequency of rainfall data first, then calculating the planneddischarge with Nakayasu HSS, then hydraulic modeling using the HEC-RAS Program, after the flood waterlevel is obtained, the embankment planning is carried out. Based on the results of the analysis of the Sail Riverflood height, it was found that the flood face elevation in the upstream river, cross section 61 (SC 61) is 7.91 mor 1.57 m from the left bank of the river and 1.51 m from the right bank of the river and elevation flood face inthe downstream, cross section 0 (SC 0) is 2.67 m or -2.85 m from the left bank and -1.77 m from the right bank(non-flood conditions). After normalization, the height of the embankment plan is an elevation of 5.5 m at sta 0+ 050, elevation of 7 m sta 0 + 150-sta 2 + 150 (2000 m), elevation of 7.5 m sta 2 + 200-sta 3 + 050 (850 m)thus the water level elevation in the Sail river has decreased ± 1 m.Keywords: flood, embankment, HEC – RAS

Abstract

Roller Grinding at Atox Coal Mill is equipment used to refine coal (raw coal). In the atox mill have three roller grinding. The movement of the roller grinding comes from the table's movement under the grinding roller. The lubrication system on the roller grinding is rated on the outside lubrication system.Roller grinding in atox vertical mill is a device that used a large bearing type of heavy duty. The method on spherical damage analysis used the data that exists in the field and data theoretically calculations so the purpose of this calculation is to find out the age bearing with the type of damage occurring on bearing, and to know the age of bearing SKF 23068 CAC on roller three grinding atox mill with a bearing speed on the bearing age, that the speed of bearing screening affects the thickness of a film layer. Abstract

Some consideration in generating electrical energy is to produce big enough energy, economical cost andnot have negative impact to environment. In this test has been made mechanical system that can move solarpanel to the sun and Know the comparison of solar panel power output between solar panels Dynamics andstatic solar panels. The dynamic solar panel output power and static solar panels are both increasing in timefollowing the position of the sun. Optimum power of solar panels occur at midmorning until the beginning of thesun slip.From the test results found that the highest level of voltage levels are at 11:30 to 12:30. Abstract

Meranti islands has a huge potential of sago. Sago becomes one of the alternative foods in Indonesia. Unfortunately, there is a limited space to do a further research on sago. To facilitate the research and development of sago in Meranti islands, it is necessary to do a better design towards the Puslitbang Sago in Selatpanjang. Puslitbang design applies the Coastal Architecture Design, which has a contextual theme that sees the local elements from the surroundings. The design parts are on the typology of the roof, walls, layout and orientation of coastal house. The concept used in this building design is tual sago. Tual is a piece of sago stalk brought from the sago plantation. Being carried on the river, sea or canal, this tual is tied one by one to make a sago bond. This concept is applied based on the function of Research and Development Center as in the management, laboratories and other supporting activities.Keywordrs : Coast Architecture, Development, Research.
