Abstract

Frame is the very important of vehicle. Design of the right frame will provide optimal results between the level of security and the size of the construction. To get an energy-efficient car, it is necessary to design a car frame that fits your needs. From the design carried out based on the body shape of the vehicle, a construction structure of the Asykar Hybrid is Monocoque type frame by using a profile of rectangular hollow section by 30 mm x 50 mm x 2 mm and angel L section 50 mm x 50 mm x 3 mm and dimensions overall frame with a length of 2456 mm x width 932 x height 920 mm. Static analysis calculate by Autodesk Inventor 2018 Student Version software which produces a Principle Stress on the main stem of 46.99 MPa and displacement of 6.005 mm. The results of the manual calculation of the main Principle Stress are 56.94 MPa with a Shear of 28.47 MPa. Safety factor of 4.39 by using Carbon steel ST 37 material. So it was concluded that the framework of energy-efficient cars is safe to use.Keywords: Frame, Principle Stress, Deformation, Energy Saving

Abstract

Motor vehicles are often used for everyday transportation as well as business tools. The large number of motor vehicles in Indonesia causes excessive air pollution. Air pollution from motor vehicles can cause a greenhouse effect on the world. The price of fuel (Fuel Oil) is also a constraint when prices are soaring, even when the availability of fuel is limited. Based on the problems and needs that have been exposed, Shell Eco Marathon makes the race to create energy-efficient vehicles, whose goal is to reduce the excessive use of fuel. Therefore Urban City Car Vehicles were created for the Shell Eco Marathon aimed at supporting the reduction of excessive fuel use. In making Urban Car For Shell Eco Marathon required a reliable power transmission and steering system, easy in maintenance and easy to find spare part. Therefore in the research discussed the planning and manufacturing power transmission of steering for a car of the Shell Eco Marathon concept. It discussed especially the material, connection, and spare part that would be used. Furthermore, it would be expected to produce a good vehicle.Keyword: City car, material selection and components

Abstract

In design a comfortable and safe car while driving, there are some things to watch out for, that isthe steering system, brake, and suspension. In this research, the author will analyze about the transmission system on the car Bono Kampar. Research on the transmission system begins with the search for data specification car Bono Kampar, after the vehicle specification data obtained, the next step is to find the center of car Bono Kampar, then calculate the speed of the vehicle on each gear ratio, from tooth 1, tooth 2, tooth 3 and tooth 4, calculate the net traction force on each gear ratio of 1 to 4, measure the fuel consumption, and measure the mileage at each gear ratio, and the analysis. Abstract

A CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machine is a machine tool that can work automatically. The CNC machine sends operational instructions that are inputted via a computer that is directly connected to the machine. This CNC machine uses PC (Personal Computer) as main control with windows platform for Operation System (OS). The CNC programming becomes an important element of the machine in work. The numerical signals are inputted into the Mach3 software as the main controls for the movement of axis (axes) x, y, and z as well as spindles. EIA-RS 274D programming format or G & M codes are used in this study for further adjustment of characters per character so that bug error does not occured on Mach3. Therefore, a CNC machine programming plan is created to adjust the machine, which can work according to the design of the Mastercam software. Mastercam software is selected because it has the completeness to design and obtain program instructions with simulation. Mastercam is a full-featured modeling software that combines 2D and 3D frame and surface geometry with editing and transformation capabilities. The G & M codes were generated by Mastercam that would be adjusted by removing G2 and G3 commands, which circular or unidirectional motion commands. In conclusion, this research revealed the program adjustment and program execution of a CNC program creating with CAD CAM system into the interface, therefore the CNC machine can be controlled by the PC device.Key words : CNC, Mastercam, G & M Codes, Mach3

Abstract

In designing a car that is comfortable and safe when driving, there are some things to watch out for, namely the steering system, brakes, and suspension. In this study, the authors will analyze about the braking system on the car Bono Kampar. The research of the braking system begins by searching for the specification data from Bono Kampar's car. After the data of Bono Kampar's car specification was obtained, then calculations were done to find the car's center of gravity, measure the dimensions of the braking system, calculate the braking distance, calculate the braking torque force, calculate the actual or theoretical braking proportions, calculate the vertical force, and analyze the theoretical stability or actual.From this study it can be concluded that the direction of behavior on Bono Kampar car is understeer according to the method theoretical and actual.Keyword :car, brake system, proportion of braking, stability of car direction.

Abstract

Asykar Urban Gasoline is a car made by students of Riau University within the standard of Kontes Mobil Hemat Energi (KMHE). The car consist of multiple system to run properly such as steering system, electrical system, engine system, transmission system and braking system. This research aim to analyze the braking system, due to its vital role and also effect the fuel consumption of the car. It is done on 2 types of roads: asphalt and concrete (dry and wet) with 3 speed variation of 25 km/h, 35 km/h, 45 km/h. The result show that the highest braking distance on wet asphalt within 45 km/h is 7.96 m theoretically and 7.5 m on field with 5.7% error. Next, braking distance with the biggest range among all data is on the wet asphalt within 35 km/h velocity and braking distance of 4.83 m theoretically and 4.3 m on field with 9.93% error. It means the amount of range in general is not really big which not exceeding 10%. Results also show the stabilization of the car tendto over steer regardless on theoretical calculation or in actual test. Keywords: Brake, Braking Distance, Car Direction Stability

Abstract

Roller Grinding at Atox Coal Mill is equipment used to refine coal (raw coal). In the atox mill have three roller grinding. The movement of the roller grinding comes from the table's movement under the grinding roller. The lubrication system on the roller grinding is rated on the outside lubrication system.Roller grinding in atox vertical mill is a device that used a large bearing type of heavy duty. The method on spherical damage analysis used the data that exists in the field and data theoretically calculations so the purpose of this calculation is to find out the age bearing with the type of damage occurring on bearing, and to know the age of bearing SKF 23068 CAC on roller three grinding atox mill with a bearing speed on the bearing age, that the speed of bearing screening affects the thickness of a film layer. Abstract

In order to identify the reliability level of the pipeline which is one of the company's assets stated by this critical equipment. Diversity in the gas production plant, an integrated methodology with economic operational conditions, equipment life and in accordance with the direction of achieving a reliable, safe goal for the entire life of the design. The solution to reduce the risk of decreasing production in the Oil and Gas industry sector is one of the risks caused by the low reliability of the pipeline, not even identified at all, the Pipeline Integrity Management System includes modeling or simulation carried out through a continuous assessment process of a system in terms of design, construction, operation, maintenance in accordance with natural gas pipelines. The action taken to implement this modeling is to find and integrate existing information, identify the causes of failure and carry out risk analysis, develop integrity management plans, implement integrity management programs namely inspection and surveiy, analyze the results to decide the right program (repair or replacement) of the pipeline network, evaluates the actions taken, then reports and makes continuous improvements.Keywords: Pipeline, inspection, maintenance, repair, Pipeline Integrity Management System, Risk assessment.

Abstract

The analysis of the bond price uses the cross sectional data of 2000 of corporate bonds listed in the Surabaya Stock Exchange. Based on the WLS method, theresult shows that the price of bonds is influenced by the risk of the bonds, which represented by the rating grade, type and common risk of the bonds variables. The rating grade and type of bonds have a positif influence on the price of bonds while the common risk of bonds has a negatif impact on price of bonds.

Abstract

The lathe is a machine tool used to cut cylindrical workpieces. On the lathe, the direction of tailstock movement follows the surface contour board machine guide ways. If there is uniformity flatness on the bottom of the machine, it will affect the precision of the lathe. The purpose of this study is to determine and evaluate the flatness deviation value in guide ways of lathes GDW LZ 350. The method used is to measure the guide ways on a lathe using a measuring instrument digi-pas DWL-200, to obtain a deviation value as a reference process leveling machine pedestal. Results obtained from this study is a guide ways flatness deviation average value of 0,1o, general flatness deviation occurs at both ends of the guide ways, the machine MB3 and MB4 flatness deviation occurs is not uniform between the guide way 1 and 2, it caused by the tilt position of guide ways. So loading guide ways only focused on one side only.Keywords : lathe, guide ways, flatness, pedestal
