Abstract

The development of information technology has ampact on changes in human life. One of them is Cloud Computing technology. Cloud Computing is computing model that it giveaway saat toaccess services by offering resources suci as hardware, software, and data storage as user guidance services. SMPN 1 Karimun is one of the Junior High Schools in Karimun Regency,still uses conventional storage namely computer storage or tiger storages. So, the ampun of data cause a lack of effeciency and effectiveness in accessing data. As a technology like cloudcomputing. Cloud computing has function as a server for digital-based storage, renew using cloud computing can storage performance in SMPN 1 Karimun to knot it any attack of DoS ( Denial of Service ). The research methodology is to design a cloud computing system by testings function in the application with the quality of existing network. The average value of throughput without DoS attack is 21,21 Mbit/s, the average throughtput value two PCs using DoS attack is18,76 Mbit/s while four PCs is 17,21 Mbit/s. Avarage result of packet loss without DoS attack is 0,046 %, the average of packet loss value using two PCs DoS attack is 0,082 % while using fourPCs is 0,104 %. Average result of delay value without DoS attack is 0,000354 ms, the average delay value using two PCs is 0,000475 ms while using while four PCs is 0,000517 ms.Keywords: Cloud Computing, DoS (Denial of Service), QoS (Quality of Service), SMPN 1 Karimun

Abstract

PT. Duta Palma Nusantara is a Palm Oil Plantation Company in Kuantan Singingi Regency, has an office to handle information activities ranging from receiving and sending data on palm production using the internet network. The background of this research is uneven Bandwidth allocation on each computer and results in one user can access the internet faster while other users are slower than other users. Therefore, the Peer Connection Queue (PCQ) Method is used using the Queue Tree feature, so that users get evenly distributed Nandwidth. Testing using Microtic Devices, Winbox Software as a configuration. The test results showed that the quality of network bandwidth management using the Peer Connection Queue (PCQ) method on the Queue Tree feature gave better results than without using the PCQ Method because bandwidth was divided according to the rules applied and no Client gets Over Bandwidth as specified. Abstract

Thermoacoustic is a system that converets energy from high amplitude sound waves into heat energy which produces temperature differences or vice versa, each of which can be used for heat engines and heat pump. This combination of pressure and temperature oscillastion will cause a thermoacoustic phenomenon, acoustic power input provided by a loudspeaker (driver) in the form of high amplitude soundwaves. In this study using λ/2 and λ/4 resonator tubes with a length of 80 cm and 60 cm. For the position of the stack in this study that is at the position of the tip farthest end of the sound source or loudspeaker box (stack position 2), and the position of the stack at the closest end of the sound source or loudspeaker box (stack position 1). From the analysis results obtained temperature differences on both sides of the stack that is on stack position 1 resonator tube λ / 2 2.69 C, on stack position 2 resonator tubes λ / 2 2.81 C, while on stack position 1 tube λ / 4 4.14 C and stack position 2 resonator tubes λ / 4 5.15 C. stack position influences the occurrence of thermoacoustic phenomena, the better position is stack position 2 because the greatest amplitude occurs in the position farthest from the sound source. Abstract

Microstrip antenna as a communcation device has small dimension with good receiving signal ability, this microstrip antenna is a technology that can be used on a wireless network application with high rate data speeds. This microstrip antennas are small, designed in such a way that can be used daily without causing bad image effects for user apperance. antenna yagi microstrip device can be implemented in various fields such as industry, science and medical. The result of the antenna design is carried out by simulation process using applications. Abstract

Sand of Pulau Island Bungin is a natural sand that comes from Batang Kuantan River, Koto Taluk Kuantan Village, District Kuantan Tengah, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. The availability of natural sand makes progress of Kuantan Singingi regency because it is easily obtained and more economical do not need to bring sand material from other area and do not have to go through stone breaking process by stone crusher. Based on the a general Specification Bina Marga 2010 Revision 3, the use of natural sand for asphalt concrete mixture (AC) should not exceed 15% of the total aggregate mixture weight. Therefore, we need to know the efficiency of natural sand usage in asphalt concrete mix (AC) for optimal utilization. This study aims to find out how optimum asphalt (KAO) and to know Marshall characteristics whether to meet the General Specification of Bina Marga 2010 Revision 3. The fine aggregate variation of natural sand used in this research is 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20 % Of the total weight of the aggregate mixture. The addition of natural sand in the asphalt concrete wearing course (AC-WC) causes the value of optimum asphalt (KAO) to decrease. In the mixed asphalt concrete wearing course (AC-WC), the addition of 10% saturated sand obtained an optimum asphalt (KAO) value of 6,10% and the largest stability value of 1.343 kg. If without considering the limits of natural sand usage as set out in Specification of Bina Marga 2010 Revision 3 then the natural addition of sand may still be used in asphalt concrete wearing course (AC-WC) until 20%.Keywords: Natural sand, mixed asphalt concrete wearing course (AC-WC), characteristics of Marshall and a general Specification Bina Marga 2010 Revision 3.

Abstract

One of biological method for hydroxyapatite test is in vitro test, which is testing the material outside the system or not directly on living things. Some ways include using cell culture media, test tubes or SBF (Simulated Body Fluid) solutions. This research aims to determine the effect of variations of chitosan on the results of in vitro test of porous HA coated with chitosan. This research was carried out by synthesis CaO from cockle shells followed by synthesis HA from a mixture of CaO and NH4H2PO4 using low-temperature hydrothermal method. Porous HA is made by mixing HA, potato starch and distilled water using the starch consolidation method. A coating solution is prepared by mixing 0.75%w/v and 1.50%w/v into 2%v/v 100 ml acetic acid. The porous HA is then dipped into the solution for 60 minutes then dried at room temperature for 24 hours. The sample was then immersed in a SBF (Simulated Body Fluid) solution for 28 days. Samples were then analyzed using XRD and SEM analyzes. Apatite layers were formed on the entire surface of the samples based on SEM analysis. Samples have degree of crystallinity of 86.581%-88.067% with crystal diameter of 41.220-42.340 nm. The use of more chitosan as coating reduced degree of crystallinity and crystal diameter. Abstract

Currently, the amount of fosil fuel in Indonesia is forecast limited, so that in the future will be likely fuel oil depletion that lead to increase the its price. Therefore, it is urgently to look for other alternative of fuel oil sources. Indonesia has a renewable alternative of fuel source that is bioethanol. The bioethanol can be blended with gasoline to improve the performance on gasoline. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimum angle for different concentrations of a mixture of ethanol and gasoline to produce optimal engine work. In this study, the effects of using unleaded gasoline (E0) and unleaded gasoline–ethanol blends (E10, E20,E30, E40 and E50) on engine performance. The investigation was conducted on a Suzuki Shogun 125 R single-cylinder, four-stroke, spark ignition engine. The experiments were performed by varying the ignition angle (150, 200 and 250) and speed of the crankshaft (2000 rpm, 3000 rpm and 4000 rpm). A result for the maximum effective braking power was on E20, the ignition angle of 20 degrees before TDC (Top Dead Center) at the crankshaft speed of 2000 rpm that was 156.284635 Watt, minimum SFC (Specific Fuel Consumption) was on E10, the ignition angle of 15 degrees before TDC, at the crankshaft speed of 2000 rpm that was 5.63 x 10 -7 kg / J. The thermal of maximum braking efficiency was on the E10, the ignition angle of 15 degrees before TDC at the crankshaft speed of 2000 rpm was 4.2%.Keywords: Internal Combustion Engine, Bioethanol, Ignition Angle

Abstract

The large consumption of electrical energy is usually influenced by the type of load used. Electrical loads have properties such as, resistive properties, inductive properties and capasitive properties. These properties have an impact on the electrical system that is the power factor. If the power factor is greater (active power) then the electrical system will be better result, otherwise. If the electrical system has low power factor or reactive power which will greatly affect the fuel consumption, so it is needed power factor improvement using capacitor. Electrical System of Passenger Motor Vessel Swarna Putri having a low factor that is equal to 0.619 and this research uses capacitors for power factor improvement. The result shows that the installation of capacitor causes the improvement of power factor to 0,8. The result of the calculation shows that the saving cost for energy per day decreases from Rp10,197,000 to Rp6,104,000Keywords: passenger motor vessel electricity, Power Factors, Electric Energy Consumption

Abstract

The intensity of illumination in a room should be in accordance with the need of that room, like the set standards of the Indonesia National Number 6197 in 2011. The study is intended to evaluate the system of lighting in the rooms and take into account the aspect of saving energy of the Yayasan Putri Tujuh Ujung Batu. From the result of the measurement directly by using Light Meter measurement tool obtained that strong lighting in the room do not meet the Indonesia National Standard. This research is carried out the intensity measurement of strong lighting in the Putri Tujuh Ujung Batu Foundation.. Cause of that, lamps evaluation of intensity by using of zonal cavity methods. Type of lamps suggested are five Philips LED with 33 Watts. The results of the calculation method are simulated using the DIALux Evo V.8.2 software which display on dimensional three image and intensity of illumination in the room. From simulation, the colour of wall with pure white increases the illumination intensity from 400 Luxes to be 556 Luxes. Saving Energy for SD Islam Inayah is 31,25 by using Philips LED compared to Hannochs lamps.Keywords: Zonal Cavity Method , Software DIALux Evo , Saving Energy.

Abstract

The utilization of enzymes in bioprocess industry increases annually. Enzyme ability to accelerate the reaction and its biodegradability make it preferable to be utilized as catalyst. Cellulase and xylanase are ones of common enzymes that used in industries, such as pulp and paper, detergent, syrup and more. Pineapple peel waste has potential lignocellulose content to substitute pure substrate such as cellulose and xylan which is not efficient in cost. Solid-state fermentation allows the microorganism to live in condition that suits its habitat. This research aims to investigate temperature of fermentation’s (25, 30 and 35 oC) effect on cellulase and xylanase enzyme production in solid-state and comparing the enzyme activities resulted with submerged fermentation method ones. Fermentation for enzyme production was done for 96 h and the pH of medium was adjusted at 4. Enzyme activity was obtained with DNS method using spectrophotometry visible at 540 nm. The highest enzyme activities were obtained at temperature 30 oC which resulted 0,054 U/mL for cellulase and 0,077 U/mL for xylanase.Keywords : cellulase, enzyme, solid-state fermentation, submerged fermentation, xylanase
