Abstract

In this study, the authors implement an application Spectrum Analyzer used to examine the frequency response of the human voice. This application begins with making the function of the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), which calculates the value of the amplitude of a wave file. Then the manufacture equalizer and normalization adjusts the value of the highest amplitude of each spectrum to be more easily studied. Spectrum Analyzer application is built using MATLAB programming language. From the test results, the human voice is in the frequency range of 300 -3400 Hz and a human voice shrill has higher frequencies then bass, By using sound recorder application that already include in the operation of windows, the audio signal will be at the input. The audio signal that we will process here is the type of audio signal stereo. Stereo signals having a phase of R and L which produces the dominant voice on the left or right.  Keywords : Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), the audio signal, spectrum analyzer

Abstract

Along with the development of technology-based Broadband Wireless Access (BWA), it is not just a connection is needed, but also the speed of the internet access and large capacity. One of the technology in BWA currently used is IEEE 802.16d WiMAX standard. IEEE 802.16d WiMAX standard using a frequency of 3.5 GHz. Indonesian satellite using the same frequency with the frequency of WiMAX. In order to avoid any interference between WiMAX and satellite it is necessary to filter on the WiMAX receiver. Therefore bandstop filter is used to reject the frequency of satellite based WiMAX standard has been set. In this thesis report discusses the design of bandstop filter circuit consisting of components - namely passive components, inductors and capacitors. Responses were used in this design is the Chebyshev response for Chebyshev response can result in a high degree of steepness of the passband to stopband. Abstract

Chevron Pacific Indonesia ( CPI ) is one company that has a long establish the CATV network operation using coaxial cable system. CATV over time networks with this system experienced a slump of quality or reliability. This is certainly not desired by the CPI, due to the failure resulting in service less than the maximum. Therefore CPI change the system using fiber optic system that can boost reliability. Reliability is one of the important performance, because the results of the reliability prediction can be used to determine the option to use an instrumentation and implementation on a CATV network. Reliability parameters of a network include the availability (availability), system downtime and Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) or prediction of the lifetime of a network. By analyzing the above parameters obtained the level of system CATV network availability in the CPI, rumbai district greater than 99.99%. The level of availability (availability) is obtained in fiber optic systems have an average 99.9923655%, with the value system down time at 40.1266692 min / year, and Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) is 29.0259193 years. Abstract

Abstract

Communication is the most important part of everyday activities. In the current era, communication can be done in various ways. One of them is through electronic messages (E-mail). E-mail is a means of exchanging information through electronic communication by sending, receiving, changing and storing messages. Using e-mail is more practical than writing and sending letters manually. However, the use of email is also very vulnerable to crimes in electronic communication or the internet. Security and confidentiality issues are an important aspect of messages, data and information. This is related to the importance of messages and information sent and received by interested parties or people, whether the authenticity of the messages and information is still maintained or not. Therefore, security is needed to maintain the authenticity of messages or information from the contents of the e-mail using cryptography. Cryptography is the art and science of encryption that aims to maintain the security and confidentiality of data. In maintaining the confidentiality and security of electronic messages, the RSA (Revest Shamir Adleman) algorithm method is used, so that the confidentiality and security of the data or information can be maintained and RSA has security at the level of difficulty in factoring nonprime numbers. RSA has a key pair, namely a public key and a private key. This research produces an android application that aims to maintain the authenticity of message contents and information sent by means of messages that have been sent can only be read through the application. Messages sent through the application will also enter into Gmail's incoming contacts. But the user cannot read the message from Gmail because the contents of the message are encrypted and can only be read from the application. Abstract

Internet is a necessity for the current era. The number of requests for internet access cause long response time and overload. Especially in offices that provide public services such as the Department of Library and Archives in Riau Province. To keep service work at the Soeman HS Regional Library not interrupted, so it will give comfortable for visitors, network optimization will be carried out with Load Balancing Technique. Load Balancing will balance load traffic on two or more connection lines, so that traffic can run optimally. The method used is Peer Connection Classifier, whereas this method will divide load based on sources, destination addresses and port addresses. All internet requests from users will go to Router that has been configured with PCC method, so on the Router will set up the exit request from user through ISP 1 line or ISP 2 line to be able to go to internet connections. The test results show that the equal distribution of outgoing access to ISP 1 and ISP 2 lines in a balanced manner, so there is no overload in any of ISP lines. Abstract

The Information and Communication Technology Integrated Services Unit (UPT TIK) is an unit in the University of Riau which is engaged in the service and management of everything related to information technology. UPT TIK manages network devices such as routers and switches that are scattered in every faculty/ institution building in the University of Riau. Network administrator who monitors the network equipment. Currently, the monitoring process uses the Cisco switches at UPT TIK by checking the devices one by one. This monitoring process is deemed ineffective because there are many devices unmanagable scattered in every faculty/institution building at the University of Riau so that administrator have difficulty checking the state of the devices whether they are connected or not. In this study, the design and implementation of the SNMP protocol for network management was carried out directly at the UPT TIK University of Riau. A monitoring system can also be called a Network Management System, which is a system that functions to assist network administrator in monitoring and controlling network devices. SNMP is anapplication protocol on a TCP / IP network that can be used as a protocol in Network Management System. The development of this system uses the PHP Programming Language and the MySQL database management system. From the results of system testing and analysis, it is found that the monitoring and network management systems that have been designed can run well in monitoring network devices. Abstract

Microstrip antenna as a communcation device has small dimension with good receiving signal ability, this microstrip antenna is a technology that can be used on a wireless network application with high rate data speeds. This microstrip antennas are small, designed in such a way that can be used daily without causing bad image effects for user apperance. antenna yagi microstrip device can be implemented in various fields such as industry, science and medical. The result of the antenna design is carried out by simulation process using applications. Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept for exchanging data through the internet with objects that can be controlled remotely. Aglaonema plant is one of the ornamental plants that is much in demand by many as aplant for indoor decoration and terrace houses. It's just that the aglaonema plant to grow nice and beautiful requires a lot of attention. This research designed a system to monitor soil moisture and automatic roof on aglaonema plant through web server and android notifications. The device consists of Arduino Uno, soil moisture sensor, RTC, servo, and limit switch. Checking the soil moisture and opening the roof is done 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. The roof is opened with a servo, and the limit switch is used to notify if the roof cannot open in time. Monitoring via the web is done using thingspeak and android notifications using IFTTT.Keywords: Monitoring, soil moisture sensor, IoT, Notificaton

Abstract

Currently, technological advances are in line with advances in science, so there are many variations that are created for the benefit of human life. Therefore, many problems can be solved by utilizing modern technology, one of which is in agriculture. Watering plants is still mostly done manually and people have difficulty maintaining these plants. Due to the busyness of people's work, it’s difficult to divide the time which makes the plants uncontrollable, so that the plants aren’t well maintained. Utilization of IoT makes daily work easier, especially technology that is practical and efficient. IoT makes devices able to communicate such as sending and receiving data. For this reason, the design and manufacture of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automatic plant watering control device is carried out. This study designed an automatic watering device consisting of ESP8266, soil moisture sensor and DHT11, where the working system of this tool includes automatic watering of plants based on the water content in the soil, and notifications will be sent to the telegram application. The design of this system will be divided into into three stages, namely, hardware design, software, and use case diagrams. Based on the design results, this automatic plant watering device works successfully by detecting room temperature and reading soil moisture levels. With this tool, it’s hoped that plant owners will get data and values for controlling soil temperature and humidity in accordance with leek plants and become an alternative solution for plant owners in maintaining their plants. The system designed has been able to monitor plant watering, as well as send notifications to users in the form of information about the state of room temperature and soil moisture in plants through the telegram application.Keywords : Internet of Things, Soil Moisture Sensor, DHT11.
