Abstract

Datuk Rubiah Market, located in Jl. Sumatra is a place that plays an important role in collecting the needs of the people of Bagansiapiapi. Problems that occur in Datuk Rubiah are many shortages of facilities such as trash bins, management offices, unloading areas, kiosks and booths that are lacking for sellers. The market arrangement also looks poor, that is, the circulation in and out of the market is not appropriate so that buyers are piling up, lack of parking lots and drainage facilities is also a problem caused in this market. therefore the need for a new Design Datuk Rubiah Market both in terms of buildings and land area. The design method used in the design of the Datuk Rubiah Market is with the principles of Chinese and Malay Architecture. Abstract

Narcotics misuse and circulation is one of the biggest problems in the country, especially in Riau province. However, the high number of narcotic violations is not balanced with the means and rehabilitation facilities that meet the standards. The available rehabilitation containers are still limited in terms and facilities. Therefore, this study aims to design a rehabilitation center for the most complete drug sufferers of NAPZA, so that it is the main reference for the rehabilitation service in Riau province and is a sample material for the place Existing rehabilitation. The method used in design is the Healing Environment approach by applying principles related to nature as the basis of healing. This is because nature can calm the mind and can affect the psychological and physical condition of rehabilitation patients so that it can help accelerate the healing process. The concept used is the concept of rehabilitation transformation, expected by this concept can unite between architecture and human health. Abstract

Jatropha curcas is used as a raw material for making biodiesel because the oil content of jatropha seeds is quite high around 30-50%. In this study, the transeterification of Jatropha oil into biodiesel has been conducted using La/Clay catalyst. This catalyst is made by clay activated using a NaOH base solution with concentrations 1N, 2N, and 3N and impregnated using metal La 1%, 3%, and 5% w/w. La/Clay catalysts were characterized using SEM-EDX and BET. The catalyst obtained proved has a surface area of 6.37 m2/g. La/Clay catalyst is used as a catalyst in the transesterification reaction with a variation of reaction time (120 minutes, 150 minutes and 180 minutes). Effect of catalyst activation, metal La impregnation, and time of transeterification reaction on biodiesel yield has studied. From the results obtained, the best condition was the activation of clay catalyst activation using NaOH 3N, 5% lanthanum metal impregnation, and 180 minutes of transesterification reaction time, obtained 84,64% biodiesel yield. The produced biodiesel fulfilled SNI 7182:2015 having characteristics: density 884 kg/m3, viscosity 4.08 cSt, acid number 0.46 mg-KOH/g, and flash point 136 °C.Keywords: biodiesel, jatropha curcas oil, la/clay, transesterification, yield

Abstract

The increasing amount of transportation has a negative impact in the form of air pollution. One of the mass transportation that is often used in Pekanbaru City is the Trans Metro Bus. The purpose of this study was to analyze the passengers who switched or shifted from private vehicles to the Trans Metro Pekanbaru. Lemeshow method to determine the number of research samples with a questionnaire to passengers who switch or shift to Trans Metro Pekanbaru. The results of this study are the characteristics of respondents based on the highest age Pekanbaru, namely age 21-30 years as much as 36.67%, the characteristics of respondents based on the highest sex male sex as much as 52.5%, the characteristics of respondents based on the highest occupation, namely private employees and civil servants as much as 30.83%, the characteristics of respondents based on the highest travel destination, namely schools as much as 35.83%, and the characteristics of respondents based on the transition of private vehicles to Trans Metro Pekanbaru the highest, namely motorbikes as many as 88 vehicles with a percentage of 73 , 33%.Keywords: Mass transportation, Trans Metro Pekanbaru

Abstract

Bending Roll is a tool used to make curves, which are widely used in the field of construction work. The Bending Rolltool made by Tongam and Aweng (2018) has not been tested. To analyze the performance of the Bending Roll tool using thefinite element method then compared with direct testing. Testing through finite element method Finite element methodsoftware is used, namely Abaqus. That testing directly specimens used there are two types, plate and Hollow. For platespecimens, the rolling process is tested by adding a load using a hydraulic jack and the compressive force measured by thepressure gauge. Whilst Hollow specimens a strain gauge is also used to measure the strain that occurs during rolling. Thegoal is to be able to see the phenomena that occur in the specimen during rolling. The results of the most ideal specimen tobe carried out on a tool is a specimen with a thickness of 3 mm. On the 3 mm plate the stresses are large and can formyoung specimens with a small force. When the force used is small, it will extend the life of the bending roll tool. If calculatedthe level of difference in measurements that occur is not so big between experimental measurements and simulationmeasurements.Key words: Bending Roll, finite element, pressure gauge, strain gauge.

Abstract

Greases were used to reduce friction between two opposite moving metal surface. The utilized base oil could be vegetable oil and mineral oil, however mineral oil is not environmental friendly. This research objectives was to produce grease from rubber seed oiland to study LiOH-NaOH mole ratio effect and base oil mass ratio effect toward produced grease characteristic. This research pretreatment consisting few steps: raw material preparation involve rubber seed oil extraction by expression, degumming, centrifugation andthen oil characteristic test including density, viscosity and GC-MS. The process continued by LiOH-NaOH metal soap making utilizing rubber seed oil with mole variations (90:10), (80:20) and (70:20), stirring time 30 minutes, stirring speed 650 rpm and stirringtemperature is 70 oC. The last step was blending among base oil, thickening agent and additive with rasio (75:20:5)%w/w, (77,5:17,5:5)%w/w, (80:15:5)%w/w, (82,5:12,5:5)%w/w,(85:10:5)%w/w, stirring time 240 minutes, stirring speed 650 rpm and stirring temperature 120 oC. Rubber seed oil characterization results were density of 0,819 gr/ml and fatty acid content which dominated by unsaturated fatty acid namely linoleic acid 34,11% and linolenic acid 30%. The optimum ratio obtained were LiOH:NaOH ratio of 90%:10% (A1) and base oil:thickening agent:additive of (75:20:5)%w/w with penetration 228 (25 oC), dropping point 125 oC and NLGI number 3.Keywords: dropping point, grease, metal soap, penetration, rubber seed oil.

Abstract

Skateboarding, BMX, and Inline Skating are kind of extreme sports, these sports entered indonesia in the 70-80s. The rapid development of this extreme sport in Pekanbaru cannot be denied by emergence of the community of each of these extreme sports, but the rapid development of this sports is not accompanied by adequate facilities. These athletes of extreme sports players often practice in outdoor such as city park, Main Stadium Riau, Kaharudin Nasution Stadium, and in the Arena Loop. The lack of facilities is an obstacle for these athletes and extreme sports players for more develop talent and many times several International and National Event can not do in Pekanbaru, because of inadequate facilities. Therefore to solve this problem is needed Skate Arena located in Pekanbaru to facilitate all the needs of this extreme sport, and become a container for national and international events. Based on the extreme nature owned by this sport, and the similarity of how to play is to play by passing obstacle while showing tricks, then the concept of designing Skate Arena is to pass the obstacle. The concept will be applied through the principle of Architecture Expressionism. The extreme natura of the sport will be translated through the use of red materials, the nature of the obstacle will be translated trough the use of wood materials, and concrete which is a charateristic of obstacle material, and provides a ramp that penetrates.Keywords: Extreme sports, Skateboard, BMX, Inline Skate, Architecture Expressionism

Abstract

This paper describes a method of modular artificial neural network (ANN) for identifying and locating short circuit faults in underground power distribution line at PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai. The underground power distribution line is modeled using ATP-EMTP software. ANN-based fault classifier made from ANN-based fault detection in different phases and ground which work in parallel. ANN- based fault locator made form ANN which is estimated locations of fault occurs for each different types of fault. The ANN-based fault classifier of fault was performed variety of the given input and The ANN-based fault locator was performed variety of the activation function type which is deployed in different layer. The study result shows 4 different sampling of voltage value as ANN-based fault detection input in different phase fault. In the another result shows 4 different sampling of zero sequence current value as ANN-based fault detection input in ground fault. The last result shows the activation function of ANN-based fault locator is sigmoid bipolar – sigmoid biner – linear in the different ANN-based fault locator. All the previous result was aggregated to enhance the training phase in order to speed up in achieving MSE target of 1E-5.Keywords: modular artificial neural network (ANN), fault classifier, fault locator, short circuit faults , underground power distribution line

Abstract

PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V in its operational activities has the potential to generate noise coming from palm oil production machines. Workers who are constantly exposed to noise have the potential to affect workers' health and comfort. The purpose of this research is to know the intensity of noise generated by oil palm production machine, exposure time, map of noise distribution pattern, and noise control effort. The noise measurement method refers to the noise mapping method and the tool used is the Sound Level Meter (SLM). Measurement based on the noise mapping method is done for 1 day. The results showed that from 92 points of measurement, there were 71 points showing numbers that exceeded the quality standard. The highest noise level is 100.6 dB where it is very close to the noisy source, and the lowest noise level is 81.7 Db which is far enough from the noisy source. Based on the calculation using NIOSH formula from 92 point of noise mapping method, there are 61 dots showing exposure time above NIOSH recommended standard. The highest noise level was 100.6 dB with a duration of 13.1 minutes and the lowest noise level was 81.7 dB with a duration of 1028.9 minutes. Sound mapping using the Surfer 11 program to find out the pattern of noise distribution caused by the noise mapping method. Based on the results of Surfer 11 shown by different colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. The planned noise control measures are by engineering control, adminstrative control, and control on the recipient or worker.Keywords: Noise, NIOSH, Noise Mapping, Surfer 11, PKS Terantam

Abstract

Riau Province is one of the drought stricken provinces in Indonesia. Droughts can adverse impacts suchas land fires. Based on data from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in 2013, Riau Province hasthe most hotspot in Indonesia with the 5,128 hotspot. The meteorological drought index can be used asinformation for policymaking as an effort to prevent land fires. This research was conducted in Siakwatershed of Riau Province using KBDI method and length of data used last 10 years. The analysis wasused rain data recorded from four rain stations in the Siak watershed. The result of the analysis showsthat the highest drought index value of KBDI method occurred in Petapahan Baru Station, April 2015which was 1965,919 with the classification of Extreme. Based on the correlation of drought index of Siakwatershed with hotspot data, the highest value of correlation is 0,859 in 2009 with a very strong category.Keywords: Hotspot, meteorological drought index, KBDI.
