Abstract

Jake Village road is a road that located in Kuantan Sengingi Regency, Riau Province. This road categorized as primary collector roads one of alternative road connected from Pekanbaru to Jambi via Lubuk Ambacang. The existing traffic from Jake Village road is dominated by truck vehicle as the road passes through the rubber and oil palm plantation area. The condition of road equipment facilities on Jake village road is still minimal, so an analysis of the placement of road equipment facilities are needed based on the Department of Transportation regulations 2006 and the geometric regulations of the Bina Marga Road in 1997. The results of the analysis on the Jake Village Road required 75% of warning signs and 99% of solid markers, because there are many sharp bends, climbs and derivatives along this road.Keywords : Jake Village, road geometric, Signs and Mark

Abstract

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is the most widely used material in the photocatalysis process, one of which is to degrade phenol waste. The photocatalysis process can degrading waste compounds become more environmentally friendly compounds, namely CO2 and H2O. To increase the adsorption ability and photocatalysis process efficiency, titanium dioxide was added with carbon-based materials namely graphene. The addition of magnetic materials such as Fe3O4 is expected to facilitate the process of separating photocatalyst with magnetic fields. This research was aims to get graphene/TiO2/Fe3O4 composites for separation of phenol photodegradation results and characterizing graphene/TiO2/Fe3O4 composite. Procedure of this research started with the modification of graphene with cocoPAS surfactant, synthesis of Fe3O4, and synthesis of graphene/TiO2/Fe3O4 composite, performance test of composite using phenol and then magnetic separation test. Morphology of composite graphene/TiO2/Fe3O4 were characterized using SEM analysis. Concentration of phenol photodegradation results were analized using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The synthesized graphene/TiO2/Fe3O4 composite is successfully in degrading phenol by 57,45 % with the magnetic separation test is 60 minutes.Keywords: photodegradation, magnetic composite, titanium dioxide, graphene, magnetite

Abstract

An experimental review of the H-type Darrieus water turbine has been carried out using a standard NACA 2415 hydrofoil blade to determine the static and dynamic torque values produced by the 3-blade and 6 blade Darrieus hydro-turbine turbines. mx 0.6 m x 1 m. This test uses a variation of three blades and six blades, with turbine diameter 0.44 m x 0.15 m on the outer turbine and 0.18 x 0.14 m on the inner turbine and 0.10 m chord length with variations of the angle of attack from 0º to 360º, using variations in the speed of the first water flow 0.3 m / s and the variation of the second water flow velocity is 0.65 m / s. At a water speed of 0.3 m / s six blades, the static torque value generated is 0.3 Nm, the dynamic torque value is 0.384 Nm, at a water speed of 0.65 m / s the dynamic torque value is 0.432 Nm and the static torque value is 0.384 Nm, for Darrieus turbine testing three blades with a water flow velocity of 0.3 m / s dynamic torque value is 0.336 and with the same speed its static torque is 0.264 Nm. At the water velocity of 0.65 m / s, the dynamic torque value is 0.384 Nm, and the static torque value is 0.336 Nm. From the measurement data it can be concluded that the variation of the six blade turbine has a value of static torque and dynamic torque higher than the three blade turbine, the number of blades greatly influences the kinetic energy absorption of water to be converted into static and dynamic torque.Keywords: Turbine Darrieus, static torque, dynamic torque

Abstract

Peat is organic soil, but that does not mean organic soil is peat soil. Peatlands in Indonesia are 14.9 million hectares, covering around 50% of the world's tropical peat. Riau Province which has the largest area of peatlands in Indonesia is 55.3%. Unproductive peatlands in Indonesia are reported to be 4.2 million hectares. Under natural conditions, peat is a type of water-saturated soil that can store water up to 5 to 15 times its weight. This research was conducted in the village of Tanjung Leban using peat soil water content of each layer. Results Peat soil moisture content is used to determine the parameters of the Fire Danger Rating System (FDRS) water content. The analysis was conducted using primary data in the form of soil sampling and laboratory testing of soil mechanics. The results of this analysis obtained the value of the average water content of each layer. The average value of layer moisture content is different from the first layer of litter moisture content of 65.39%, the value of moisture content of the second layer of organic soil is 71.22% and the value of moisture content of the third layer of solid soil is 71.04%.Keywords: peat land, Fire Danger Rating System, water content

Abstract

The country of Indonesia is currently published as the second largest contributor of plastic waste in the world, amounting to 28.4 thousand tons of plastic waste / day. Plastic has caused problems in the environment and become waste that is difficult to be reprocessed. Ecobricks (environmentally friendly brick) are made from plastic waste so that it can reduce environmental pollution caused by garbage so as to minimize the generation of plastic waste and prevent air from arising from the process of making ecobricks without having to go through surgery. This study discusses polypropylene (PP) glass packaging and refined aggregate containing carbonate mixtures with a variation of 5%, 7% and on the compressive strength and movement of concrete water according to PUBI, 1982. From the results of the research, the highest compressive strength of the concrete block with PP plastic mixture and 5% carbonate mixture at 28 days is 93 kg / cm2 . Batako at the time of 28 days, the highest absorption of air (absorption) occurred in a normal brick that is 14 66%.Keywords: ecobricks, polypropylene (PP), calcium carbonate, compressive strength, absorbtion

Abstract

Pekanbaru is the capital of Riau Province which became the center of industry and trade activity in Riau Province. However, Pekanbaru City currently does not yet have an appropriate facility to accommodate and manage the ever-increasing trade activities. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to design Pekanbaru Trade Center needed by Pekanbaru City to accommodate trading activities with facilities such as convention, exibition and retail, to facilitate and develop trade activities in Pekanbaru city. Research methods used through field survey, literature review, and analysis of Trade Center building. Pekanbaru Trade Center is designed with futuristic architectural themes emphasized on mass form with futuristic architectural features that are future-oriented concept and deconstruction shape. The concept used is mobility with the notion of easy to move or move. The result of this research shows that the Trade Center design applies futuristic theme on the shape and facade of the building by taking the form that is not constant like the use of circle pattern and curve for dynamic and flexible impression.Keywords: Architecture, Trade Center, Pekanbaru, Futuristic

Abstract

Coffee Gallery is a place that provides educational, information, commercial, which aims to introduce local products of Sumatera, especially in Pekanbaru. The role of public facilities must necessarily have their own comfort and distinctive features. Therefore, the facilities provided are not only exhibition objects but visitors can see directly the process of processing coffee beans to become ready-to-prepare powder. In terms of gallery facilities also provide a place to relax while enjoying various types of processed coffee. Using the lighting approach, the view of the building can express the character of the coffee itself so that in any room can clearly difference and trademark. Through the basic concept of caffeine, the architectural model comes from the results of the transformation of the compound bonding model which becomes the basic form. Abstract

The promotion that is being done by the government of Indragiri Hilir District in various sectors is a way to improve the regional economy. Various exhibitions and meetings held annually become routine agenda and always be an attraction for local and foreign people. Toaccommodate the various exhibitions and meetings, it is necessary exhibition buildings and conventions with functional and large capacity room facilities. Design methods in designing apply an expressionist architectural approach in which the physical and characteristicbuildings and regions tend to blend the function and aesthetic aspects of both shape, space and structure. Abstract

One of the decreases in environmental quality is caused by pollution of carbon dioxide (CO2) from transportation activities. Pasir Pengaraian City is one of the cities that has potential as a producer of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from transportation activities in Riau Province. One effort to reduce the concentration of CO2 in urban air is by applying the concept of green area or better known as green open space (GOS). This study aims to determine the number of motorized vehicles from transportation activities in the city of Pasir Pengaraian. The method used, which is recording traffic activities to calculate the amount of CO2 emissions. the results showed that the number of densest vehicles for arterial and collector roads occurred on Sunday with a total of 16,886 vehicles / day for arterial roads and 10,883 vehicles / day for collector roads, whereas for local roads, the number of densest vehicles occurred on Monday, with the number of vehicles is 3,392 vehicles / day.Keywords: Motorized Vehicles, Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Pasir Pengaraian City

Abstract

Latasir or a thin layer of asphalt sand is a pavement surface covering consisting of fine aggregates or sand or a mixture of both hard and asphalt mixed, stretched and compacted under certain conditions. Itis often used on the streets as light as local roads or road environment, in order to restrain the rate of water so as not to enter into pores in it. One of the efforts made to improve the quality of asphalt pavementby modifying the mixture material with the addition of certain additives. Graphene is thought to be able to become another asphalt addictive. Several previous studies used Grpahene in various reinforcementstructures. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of Marshall characteristics in the mixtureof Latasir A using graphene addictive. Variation made in this study were 0% (without mixture), 2%, 2.5%, and 3% for the presentation value of asphalt density as a comparison of the value of stability, flow, VMA, VIM, VFA and MQ. The results of this study indicate that the addition of graphene as an addictive to the asphalt mixture tends to increase the value of stability, the value of melt (flow) so that it becomesmore elastic because it is above the specification limit, and not too much increase in the value of the VIM, VMA, VFA, and Marshall Quotient (MQ) value. For the best Marshall Characteristics, the addition ofgraphene is 3% and the optimum asphalt content (KAO) is 8,50% with a stability value of 580 kg, flow value of 4.10%, VIM 4.50%, VFA 79.00%, VMA 22.30% and MQ 140.00 Kg / mm.Keywords: graphene, additives, Latasir, Marshall Characteristics
