Abstract

This research was conducted to investigate the characteristics of silica extracted from Palm Oil Fly Ash.. The obtained silica involves the extraction process using an alkaline solution and an acid solution. It was found that the highest yield was obtained from extraction using a solid/liquid ratio of 1:12 with extraction time of 120 minutes. Abstract

Tamarind seeds are biocoagulants which contain active substances and are polyelectrolytes. This study aims to determine the slow stirring speed and stirring time in the removal of phosphate and TSS parameters in laundry wastewater and to compare the analysis results with the PERMENLH / 5/2014 quality standard. The removal was carried out by coagulation flocculation and sedimentation using tamarind seed flour by varying the slow stirring speed of 40 rpm, 45 rpm, 50 rpm and slow stirring time of 20 minutes, 25 minutes, 30 minutes and fast stirring 120 rpm for 3 minutes, with a biocoagulant dose 3.5 gr/l. The results showed that the optimum stirring speed was 45 rpm with a stirring time of 25 minutes with the removal efficiency of 60.59% and 78.50% TSS, respectively. The analysis results for phosphate and TSS still do not meet the quality standards for laundry wastewater. Abstract

Lake Diatas is a lake that has a beautiful natural scenery, even some newspapers preach that the beauty of the lake Diatas is not less beautiful with foreign countries, so there are enough tourists who visit this lake. With a very beautiful natural beauty, this place does not have adequate facilities to pamper and make visitors more comfortable to visit enjoy the beauty of the lake. One of the facilities that is necessary to support the lake area above is a decent residential facility. As with the construction of Villa Resort occupancy, the view directly to the lake. Villa Resort is an area of accommodation with a villa unit with a main function in the form of lodging equipped with supporting facilities in the form of entertainment, recreation, relaxation and sports activities. The design principles of Frank Lloyd Wright are as follows: The simplicity and serenity, the expression of personality, the correlation with nature, natural colors, the nature of materials and spiritual integrity. Abstract

Geopolymers are an alternative cement replacement, made from industrial waste that is rich in silica and alumina, such as fly ash bottom ash. The geopolymerisation bond can beactivated by the activator solution and the curing system at high temperatures. This study utilizes fly ash bottom ash as a geopolymer material and uses an innovative ambient curingease application in the field with additional PCC. This study aims to study the compressive strength and flexural strength of hybrid geopolymer concrete after 28 days of curing with variations of extra water/FABA 0.20 and 0.23. The test results show that the compressivestrength of the extra water/FABA variation of 0.23 has the highest strength value of 15,56 MPa. While the compressive strength of the extra wate /FABA variation of 0.20 has acompressive strength value of 14,62 MPa. The flexural strength value of the extra water/FABA variation of 0,23 has the highest value of 3,08 MPa. While the flexural strength value of the hybrid geopolymer concrete variation of extra water/FABA 0,20 is 2,81 MPa.Keywords : hybrid geopolymer concrete, fly ash bottom ash, PCC, extra water/FABA.

Abstract

The Empty Fruits Bunches (EFB) is quite good mechanical properties, which it is waste that has not been utilized  and easily broken down. The problem in previous studies was of voids on the surface and in the composite due to the lack of a percentage of the matrix, resulting in a weak interface bond resulting in low mechanical properties. This research uses banana leaf fiber in hybrid with EFB fiber and epoxy matrix then produced by vacuum bagging method. The banana fiber was extracted with a length of 25 cm and EFB fibers a length of 1, 2, and 3 cm and alkaline treatment using 5% NaOH with a soaking time of 2 hours. For The experimental design and variables that have a significant effect on flexural strength, impact resistance, and water absorption, the statistical method Response Surface Methodology (RSM) is used. The results showed that the maximum flexural strength was at running 6 with a value of 209.11 MPa, with a percentage of banana fiber/EFB (50%: 50%) with a percentage of hybrid/matrix fibers (30%: 70%) and 30 mm EFB fiber length. The maximum impact strength is at running 9 with a value of 2.736 Joules, percentage of banana fiber/EFB (60%: 40%) percentage of hybrid/matrix fibers (35%: 65%), and a fiber length of 3 cm EFB. The minimum water absorption is at running 14 with a value of 0.22%, percentage of banana fiber/EFB (60%:40%) with a percentage of hybrid/matrix fibers (25%: 75%), and a length of 1 cm EFB fiber Keywords: Banana Fiber, EFB, Hybrid composites, Vacuum Bagging, Response Surface Methodology (RSM)

Abstract

Chlorella sp. can be used as a solution to tofu liquid waste problems. Therefore, it is important to develop this microalgae cultivation technique. One of them is by using the Azospirillum sp. which can support growth and can increase the efficiency of removal from tofu liquid waste. In this research, the measurement of the growth rate of the microalgae Chlorella sp. and COD removal. The research conducted in batches with the addition of bacteria at 5 different levels, namely 0 (without the addition of Azospirillum sp.), the addition of Azospirillum sp. as many as 0.25; 0.50; 0.75; and 1 (% v / v). Processing is carried out for 13 days by irradiating sunlight in a photobioreactor. Based on the research results, the highest growth rate of Chlorella sp. and the best COD removal efficiency of 0.17/ day and 86.84% were obtained from the addition of Azospirillum sp. 1% v/v on the thirteenth day. Abstract

The use of bank capacitors in an effort to increase the power factor in power quality issues, has several problems to be aware of. Switching capacitor banks during energization can cause transient surges related to transient voltages and currents. This study discusses the simulation and analysis of more transient voltage due to the switching of bank capacitors that occur in riau transmission line 150 kV using MATLAB Simulink 8.7. The effect of transient state when switching capacitor banks can have a detrimental impact, both for equipment and the system as a whole. Use Synchronous Closing Breaker as one solution to solve this problem. By using Synchronous Closing Breaker can reduce the voltage more in the transient state and dampen the oscillations that occur. The result of simulating the transient voltage value produced on Garuda Sakti bus reaches 1.35 pu, and the use of synchronous closing breaker method can reduce the transient voltage up to 1.04 pu. To reduce transient oscillations, it can also reduce transient current from a value of 532.2 A can be reduced to 476.1 A. The percentage of transient voltage reduction of synchronous closing breaker usage is 22.96%.Keywords: Electric Power System, Transient, synchronous closing breaker, Matlab R2016a/Simulink.

Abstract

Wireless network is a wireless network that uses air as a transmission medium with the medium in the form of electromagnetic waves. Yapim Mandau-Duri Vocational School, is a private vocational school with its address at Jalan thorn kilometer 8. Yapim Mandau-Duri Vocational School currently uses an internet network in the form of a wireless network, where the wireless network at Yapim Mandau-Duri Vocational School uses two access points. at SMK Yapim Mandau-Duri, the distance and speed of signal coverage can be disrupted due to several factors, such as the transmission range that is not too far away and obstacles in the form of thick walls that hinder signal transmission at SMK Yapim Mandau-Duri. Duri High School. To determine the quality of the existing network at SMK Yapim Mandau-Duri, it is necessary to measure the quality of the network using the Quality Of Services (QoS) parameter, QoS is a method of measuring how good the service quality of the existing network is, the parameter used is Throughput. In this study the average throughput for 5 clients for 5 days starting from the first test to the fifth day. The highest average Throughput for 5 days occurred to the fifth user at 174 Kbps, and the lowest average Throughput value occurred to the second user at 149 Kbps. The average Throughput obtained was very good according to TIPHON standards. The quality of TIPHON serves to determine qualifications in measuring the quality of the internet network. Abstract

Rengat is the capital of Indragiri Hulu Regency which has several tourist attractions. One of the most frequently visited tourist objects is Raja Lake which is located on Jalan Sultan Rengat. The location of the lake is quite strategic because it is in the city of Rengat. The lake has enormous potential and has quite number of visitors. However, there are several things that have resulted in reduced visitors. Some of the factors causing the reduced number of visitors to Raja Lake Tourism Object are caused by unmet requests or needs of visitors. For this reason, the quality of the tourism area can be improved by providing those that can meet various recreational needs in a design. The resort design is an appropriate design to advance the Raja Lake tourism object and increase the economic income of Rengat City. In designing this resort on Raja Lake, it requires a design approach that prioritizes aesthetics and comfort for visitors while still paying attention to environmental balance. The right design is Eco-Tech Architecture, which is a design approach that links and harmonizes the environment and is based on concerns about global environmental conservation with an approach to land use energy management and effective waste management in architectural architecture. Abstract

Youtube is an application for sharing videos that users can access for free. In the results of a survey that has been carrying out for many users who use Youtube, they experience buffering due to the slow internet network. Therefore, bandwidth management is needed that aims to manage and control customer bandwidth so that bandwidth usage can be evenly distributed by using the Queue Tree Method on Mikrotik. The Queue Tree method is a method that can divide bandwidth by marking the service from the package used by the customer. This research was conducted for five days by comparing the existing conditions and conditions using the Queue Tree Method based on testing one of the Quality Of Service (QoS) parameters such as Delay. The results of the study concluded that the analysis carried out on the QoS Parameters for the Youtube in Existing Conditions obtained a considerable Delay value in the Afternoon time of 524,87 ms, including the Bad Category and the Delay value obtained in Queue Tree Conditions of 11,83 ms included in the Very Good Category. In this case, using the Queue Tree Method, the network quality is better than the existing network conditions because of the bandwidth usage that is distributed evenly to each customer.Keywords: Youtube, Bandwidth Management, Queue Tree, Quality of Service.
