Abstract

Uwai Pangoan irrigation area is located in Kampar district which one of the rice-producing district in Riau province. The potential area of Muara Jalai irrigation area is 800 Ha, but it is functional area is just 615 Ha. Processing of agricultural land of this irrigation area was done twice in a year with Padi-Bera-Bera cropping pattern. The functional area is still small and the cropping pattern in such a way, this suggests that the potential of water resources and land owned by the irrigation area is not utilized optimally. Based on the condition, optimization study carried out to maximize the profits of farming results, based on the optimal planting area using a linear program. The mainstay volume and crop water requirements of each alternative cropping pattern planned are used as restrictions/constrains as input for operation of linear program. The results of these calculations are expected to know the optimal planting area according to the cropping pattern and cropping season, also the greatest profits to be obtioned. The results of several planned alternative cropping pattern was obtained which get the greatest profits is Padi/Kacang Hijau – Padi/Kacang Hijau – Kacang Hijau cropping pattern. The cropping pattern is scheduled for early planting December period I with the profits is Rp 5.711.999.000 and 300% cropping intensity.Key words: mainstay volume, irrigation water requirements, cropping pattern, optimation, linear program

Abstract

Siak Sri Indrapura LASDAP port is the main gateway to the Siak city through water transport. However, the condition of the passenger terminal facilities at the Port of Siak Sri Indrapura LASDAP is still not sufficient, because the absence of the terminal arrivals and departures for domestic and international passenger ship that do not have a clear circulation between the arrival and departure of passengers aboard, the presence of the passenger terminal at the LASDAP Port of Siak Sri Indrapura is currently an area of 3,150 m² is no longer adequate to accommodate the activities of domestic and international visits coming to the Siak city. It is necessary to redesign and development. Development is done by adding land located next to the LASDAP Port of Siak Sri Indrapura, so that the total area of land to be designed is an area of 1.5 ha were adjusted by considering the capacity of the space required. The port is one of the nodes in the transport network. The passenger terminal is a meeting place of two transport systems are equipped with service facilities and processing of passengers and luggages, as well as the administration. Redesign & Development Port Passenger Terminal LASDAP Siak Sri Indrapura will apply the concept of "Kato Ship" will be transformed to the formation of the building of the metaphor method with the approach of tropical architecture. Metaphor method uses imagery words "such as" or "like" to reveal a relationship, using metaphors, the resulting formation of vessel-shaped building is not an actual Kato, but Kato analogize the shape of the vessel in accordance with the theme that is applied through a lot of openings and also maximize the use of natural air in the building.Keyword : Siak Sri Indrapura LASDAP port, ship Kato, tropical architecture, redesign, development

Therefore, in designing a suitable youth centre for them, use character and mosaic concept as a ethod to facilitate their activities.this concept represent their characters in finding their own talents and interest with changing rates and colors which shows their differences. By using this, find out some more activities needed in sports, arts and social which can affect the textures, colors, circulation and any other facilities. The aim of writing this thesis is to make young people feel comfortable doing any activities they want.Keyword: Youth Center, Youth, Teenager, Behavior Architecture, Talent and Interest.

Abstract

Lack of the needs of expert sources in the aviation in Pekanbaru become a problem in the transportation. Provision of flight as air transportation facilities must be supported by the human resources that are reliable and competent in their fields. Flight school become into a facility to produce human resources that are reliable and competent, especially in the field of aviation, both pilots, engineers, and teachers. Air Transportation Institute of Riau is an institute with a vocational level, which is a school that organizes learning by only one profession. In the design of air transportation institute needs to see the proper application of the concept. Green architecture is an appropriate theme for the time being due attention to the impact of the design for the future. It’s need to consider the application of the theme of green architecture in the design of the air transportation institute. The application of green architecture is based on standards of Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI). There are 12 mass at the air transportation institute of Riau district which consists of educational building, workshop building, dormitory building, religious building, and service building. The concept is applied to the area of the air transportation institute of Riau that is green connection. Green connection is applied in a way to give more efficient access to open space as a liaison. Air transportation institute of Riau is designed by applying the principles of green architecture that is conserving energy, working with climate, respect for site, respect for user, limiting new resources, and Holistic. Observations were carried out by using solar panels on every education building. Made ponds as a water catchment so that water isn’t wasted in vain. Air transportation institute of Riau is made of the existing problems such as noise, lighting, and made efficient circulation in every building. Keywords: Aviation Institute, Green Architecture, GBCI

Abstract

Fly ash contains many elements of the high silica used as a source of silica for the synthesis of ZSM-5. ZSM-5 zeolite synthesis is one that is widely used in industry mainly as a catalyst. This is due to the ZSM-5 has a high activity and selectivity in several hydrocarbon conversion reactions. This study aimed to the synthesis of ZSM-5 of fly ash as a silica source without using templates with the time variation of the synthesis and calcination time. Synthesis performed in autoclaf at 190 ° C with a temperature variation of synthesis time 16, 18, 20 and 22 hours, calcination is done in a furnace to a temperature of 500 0 C with a variation of calcination time 4 hours, 5 hours and 6 hours. Synthesis products were analyzed by FTIR. The results showed that the best conditions for the synthesis of ZSM-5 from fly ash oil is at synthesis time of 20 hours and calcination time 4 hours. The content of ZSM-5 produced in the x-ray analysis is as much as 3%.Keyword : Fly ash, ZSM-5, FTIR, and XRD

Abstract

The development of new and renewable energy resources of government’s strategies to reduce CO2 emission from industry waste and declining for national dependence of oil fuel. One of alternative energy that use to substitute a fuel oil is bioethanol. Palm fruit fibre waste is the one of potential source because of the biggest feedstock in Indonesia and the less uses that waste well. Some of type process used to convert bioethanol from industry waste, such as fermentation. The purpose of this experiment is decide the effect of fermentation in bioethanol production from palm fruit fibre waste to get an optimum bioethanol product. This experiment had pretreatments like delignification with ash extract palm fruit bunch and purification with H2O2 3% that were used to remove lignin in palm fruit fibre waste compound to get a lot of cellulose compound. The fermentation that use in this experiment is Separate Hydrolysis Fermentation (SHF) which is hydrolysis and fermentation done separately. Hydrolysis process using H2SO4 2 M for convert cellulose become glucose then will be done by anaerob fermentation by Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The variation of agitation speed (100, 150, 200, and 250 rpm) while fermentation learned to get an optimum bioethanol percentage. The result of experiment showed that in agitation speed at 200 rpm while 96 hours can convert a bioethanol 5 % (v/v) 39,465 g/L.Keywords: Agitation speed, bioethanol, delignification, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, palm fruit fibre waste, purification, SHF (Separate Hydrolysis Fermentation)
